Hiccup left the building with a prosthetic tail strapped to his backpack, and then mounted Luna. They flew away from the village and then zoomed over the ocean, passing the fishermen's boat and their dragons.

"Morning chief!" The Viking on the fishing boat greeted him along with the colorful Thunderdrums and green Scauldrons.

"Morning guys!" Hiccup replied, and then noticed Toothless among them, "*Morning Toothless!*" Luna joined his greeting.

*Have a nice day!* Toothless shouted back.

Luna and Hiccup flew across the ocean, and then dived through the waterfall. Hiccup smiled at the dragons that warbled their greetings at them as they made their way toward the great crystal tower, her home.

Einn's eyes went wide with dilated pupils at the sight of the brand new blue prosthetic that Hiccup held before him. Viska chuckled lightly as she watched Hiccup struggle to put it on.

"Done!" Hiccup chuckled after he stood up, and panted, "Do you have any area he could use for practice?".

*I don't need practice, Hiccup!* Einn ran towards the edge of the nest, no longer aware of his surroundings, and spread his wings, *I've been doing this fore- woahhhh!*.

Hiccup chuckled at the sight of the Dragon Queen quickly ducking underneath her mate to push him up, and help him land on the flat area. Luna tilted her head, she's happy for her father, but something seemed off.

"Reminding you of someone?" Hiccup asked Luna.

*Yes,* She replied, and turned her back to him, *Let's go.*.

Hiccup hopped on her back and followed the Light Fury couple down to the flat area. Einn smiled excitedly as he steadily hovered a meter above the ground with a harness that tied him to a large crystal. Hiccup, Viska and Luna watched from the distance to avoid knock overs, but still in reassuring reach. Einn quickly flapped his wings, trying to go higher, but...

*DAD!*

*EINN!*

Hiccup quickly rushed to Einn with Luna and Viska after the rope snapped, sending the male Light Fury crashing on his back.

"Are you alright!?" Hiccup asked as he landed on a hard ground, not grassy like Toothless and he did years ago.

*Yes! Do you see the height I got to!?* Viska rolled her eyes with a held back chuckle at her mate's reply, *We did! We did it, Hiccup!*.

Luna looked at her father thoughtfully.

"Oh, great. This afternoon is gonna be long." Hiccup laughed, this old dragon is definitely Toothless.

Hiccup re-tuned Einn's tail, and then nodded at the male Light Fury. They looked at the flat, glowing mossy field not far above them. Einn flapped his wings, slowly lifting himself off the ground, and made his way up to the field with Viska flying beneath him, Hiccup on Luna behind him.

Hiccup eyes remained on the tail, Einn seemed to adapt to it quite fine, he just needed some practice on his wings.

*I did! I did!* Einn danced around the mossy ground, *Njǫrd! I forgot what that felt like!* Looking the main exit of the hidden world where the light seeped through, *Where do you wanna go next, Hiccup? You won't believe how much I've missed this!*

This is weird, Luna thought as Hiccup remained still by her side, she turned to look at her mother who only nodded back.

*You did good, love.* Viska nuzzled her mate, *But you need to give your wings some time, ok? There's no need to rush.*.

"It took weeks for Toothless to adapt, so don't worry, sir." Hiccup added, "This is totally normal.".

Einn looked at Hiccup, and shook his head mournfully. Luna approached her father, and placed her head on his side.

*Don't worry, dad. I'll bring Hiccup at sunrise everyday, I promise.*

Einn nodded and wrapped his wings around his mate and daughter. Viska helped him get back inside the Royal Nest as Luna watched her father moan mournfully after Hiccup took off the prosthetic tail.

"It's still doing good, you can keep it, sir." Hiccup said as he examined the prosthetic, "I'll help you put it on tomorrow.".

*Sure, kid.* Einn replied calmly, it was peaceful, but also… sad, *See you tomorrow.*.

Luna struggled to shake off her heavy thoughts as she flew above the golden ocean with Hiccup on her back. Her father seemed to be at ease around Hiccup, they interacted many times throughout practice time, but there were only a few moments where she felt like they're really talking… it's almost like they weren't even aware of one another.

Was it because of the tail? Her father seemed to lose himself, and then came back when that fake tail fin was off. She's uncomfortable, but at the same time, respects the fact that it's her dad's right to choose to put on that tail fin, not hers.

- Sheer Cliffs, New Berk.

Astrid and Stormfly looked proudly at the newly finished ground for the construction after the construction worker bit their goodbye.

*New Berk Dragon Academy, I can't wait!* Stormfly squeaked excitedly.

"Same, girl!" Astrid replied, "It's my first big project here.".

Astrid looked at the skeleton structure thoughtfully. She knows she's achieved a lot through her life, but each time it's completed, the same question will always come back to her… 'Was that good enough?'.

*Don't worry, Astrid.* Stormfly nuzzled her rider, *You did your best.*.

"Thanks, girl." Astrid leaned in for a rest.

Meatlug landed behind them with Fishlegs and Ruffnut, the two dismounted, and Fishmeat flew around The Arena in wonder.

"Oh Loki! This got me excited!" Ruffnut looked around excitedly.

"Good Evening guys." Astrid greeted the couple.

"We brought some deco!"

Everyone turned to where the sound came from, and found Snotlout and Tuffnut riding Hookfang above them. The red dragon placed a handmade fighting dummy in the middle of the arena, it was purely made of the junks from Grimmel.

"What do you think?" Tuffnut asked.

"Duck!" That was all Astrid said before Stormfly flung her spikes at it.

"Wow! It's sturdier than I thought!" Fishlegs turned to Meatlug and Fishmeat, "Fire!".

Meatlug and Fishmeat shot their lava at the dummy, and then Luna and Hiccup entered the unfinished arena.

"Hey guys! how are you?" Hiccup asked after he dismounted.

"Good!" Astrid kissed his cheek, "How's his flight?".

"He's adapting pretty quickly actually, but still needs lots of practice on the wings." Hiccup replied.

Luna approached the damaged dummy, and sniffed, pupils going narrow immediately. She swatted at the dummy with her paw as the others laughed at her reaction.

"Yup, we hated him too, missy." Tuffnut chuckled as he leaned against Hookfang.

"That's why we do this!" Snotlout turned to his dragon, "FIRE!".

A violet plasma blast was shot at the dummy before Hookfang could open his mouth.

"*Hey!*" Both Snotlout and Hookfang immediately turned to Toothless who stood indignantly at the entrance.

"Good Evening bud, how's fishing?" Hiccup asked.

Toothless stepped back, revealing a cart big full of trouts. The riders eyed them with their mouths watered.

"That's it! I'll grill myself some trout when I'm home." Tuffnut declared.

When Toothless pushed his trout cart towards them, Hiccup got the idea.

"You want us to have our dinner here?" Toothless nodded eagerly at the question.

Tuffnut and Snotlout built a makeshift campfire in the middle of the still developing arena, as Fishlegs and Ruffnut went home to get the roasting stick.

"Oh Odin, it felt like forever since the last time we're all hanging out together, and with all the dragons." Hiccup commented as he roasted his trout.

"Welp, prepare to see each other's faces a lot after this place is done," Astrid chuckled, "We're still the specialists, remember?".

"And it's time we all get a group tattoo!" Snotlout said with his mouth full, "We are the first group of the academy, for crying out loud!"

*That can wait, when will you guys finally build the sheep baskets, I wanna race again.* Stormfly chewed her trout.

*When Toothless finishes his roof.* Hookfang chuckled and Snotlout joined him.

*Hey! It's my house! I'll finish it when I want to.* Toothless barked.

And then suddenly a black sheep joined them at the campfire out of nowhere. Hiccup sighed and facepalmed.

"I wonder how Sven handled them," Hiccup sighed, "They're masters of finding themselves in bizarre places!.".

Luna picked the sheep up, *Hello Nightcloud.*

The riders and their dragons looked at her in surprise, except Toothless.

"Do sheeps have telepathy too?" Everyone groaned at Ruffnut's question.

*No, but Toothless brought me to their nest once, I named this one Nightcloud.* Luna replied, *How were they participating in the races?".

"Score counting." Fishlegs replied.

"You know? I wonder who would win if Luna and Toothless raced." Astrid looked at her fiancé.

"*Her!*" The other riders and their dragons replied much to the couple and the Furies's shock.

"Love conquers all, Hiccup." Ruffnut wriggled her eyebrows.

Hiccup and Toothless rolled their eyes at the teasing, but couldn't deny that it's not true from what happened to most races.

What do you guys think about New Berk Dragon Academy? I know Einn's reaction might be a bit over the top, but imagine being a dragon that has been stuck at home over 20 years!
