Chapter 1
Foxit walked out of the nursery, blinking at the bright sunlight.Two apprentices were sparing near the apprentice den, a few warriors were strewn about, perhaps talking about clan stuff. The elders were most likely in their den, complaining about something or the other. Foxit wasn't exactly welcome in the elders den, so she wasn't that knowledgeable about it. She watched as two kits tumbled out of the hole that was the elders den, chatting about something. She turned her gaze to the medicine cat den, which looked smaller on the outside then it actually was. It was also across from the elders den.
Foxkit yawned and shook herself, trying to decide whether to go back into the nursery or not. A few warriors were talking near the leaders den. What are they talking about? she thought.
" Could you move? You are blocking the nursery entrance! Find something better to do!" A voice said, sounding annoying. Foxkit looked at the kit that was standing in front of her, trying to register what the kit said.
" Oh." She moved sideways. The other kit, who was black and white, gave her an apologetic look. Lightkit and Darkkit were their names. They were her foster siblings and Lightkit wasn't happy about that. Foxkit wasn't the one that cried out in the night while others were trying to sleep. The kit had nothing to be salty about. Twistedbranch poked her head out.
" Please be nice to your sister, Lightkit. " she said, tiredness easy to detect in her voice. Lightkit sighed. " Ok, Twistedbranch. " she said. Twistedbranch shook her head and disappeared into the nursery, Lightkit following. Darkkit paused and looked at Foxkit, who was starting to lose interest in the outdoors.
" Sorry about my sister…" he whispered, giving his paws a hard stare. Foxkit slightly lifted her tail. " It's ok. Not your fault. " she replied, looking at him. His fur was fluffed out, and he gave her a quick look before darting into the den. She tilted her head and didn't think that much of it
