Chapter 10: Heartfillia.

Back in Phantom Lord

Makarov makes his way up the stairs to confront the guild master and fellow Wizard Saint, Jose Porla. When he arrives he sees Jose sitting on his throne.

"Oh Makarov how long has it been? Six years was it?" Jose asks. Makarov doesn't even reply as he extends his arm and demolishes the throne. When the dust settles, Jose doesn't appear to be there whatsoever "A though projection. You're not even here are you?" Makarov states angrily.

"A battle between two Wizard Saints of the Council will only lead to catastrophe" Jose arrogantly dictates, "Besides we have what we need." Along with Jose, a thought projection of Lucy appears in front of Makarov. She's fine but her hands are tied behind her back. "She's fine though the kid defending her may be on death's door. I hear he was hurt pretty badly." Jose brags as he sees a giant of a man standing with his hands out behind the stunned guild master. Makarov turns around only to feel his magic drained. He falls down to the bottom of the tower only to be caught by a panicking Erza.

Erza fears for her guild as everyone sees how badly he's hurt. "Everyone retreat back to the guild" she commands before handing Makarov to Alzack and Bisca. "Take him to Porylisca quickly. She's the only one that can heal him" Erza says. Makarov gasps out "Per…cy hurt" before they leave with him. Erza's eyes widen. Did the Elemental Four go after Percy? "GRAY GO BACK TO THE GUILD AND CHECK ON PERCY QUICKLY!" she yells as she pulls Natsu out. Gray runs as fast as he can back to the guild hoping that Erza is wrong in her concerns.

Natsu hates the fact they had to leave. He could tell that master was drained of his magic but to be done so quickly. But he wasn't planning on leaving just yet. Once outside of Erza's vision he went back and grabbed a mage of Phantom Lord and threatened "Tell me where your headquarters are or I will burn each and every one of your limbs off of your body" The mage thinks the dragon slayer is bluffing and acts tough, but as soon as Natsu ignites his fists and grabs the man's foot setting it on fire, the man screams in agony and relents.

Phantom Lord Prison.

Lucy sits on the bed in her cell as she wonders why she was captured. As she ponders this she sees the blue haired woman and runs to her. "What did you do to Percy?" Lucy demands as she saw the water mage kneel before Percy as he rolled on the ground. Juvia stares at the ground. "He is alright, I managed to nullify the burns on his back. The water from the rain was healing him before I worked on him." Lucy releases the breath she's been holding. "Thank you. But why?" Juvia looks away and says "It was the right thing to do before she left."

Fairy Tail Basement.

Gray had brought Percy back to the basement and laid him on his stomach. His shirt was burned and Percy had a much smaller wound from the burns he suffered but otherwise he was okay.. Gray just freezes his hands and runs it over his back before he notices something strange. A brand on Percy's back was glowing blue. The brand looked to be that of a giant. Gray then looked at Percy's shoulders as red and yellow lights were emitting from them and noticed that he had two similar brands but the one glowing red was in the shape of a dragon, while the one glowing yellow was in the shape of a giant bird. Pushing those thoughts back he creates cubes of ice and places them around the wound. The ice melts quickly before its waters spread around the wound.

Smiling, he turns to Mirajane and Erza. "He's good now. Whoever burned him didn't realize the effects of water with him. It must have been healing him as he rolled." The two mages released their sighs of relief yet were still worried as the Elemental Four had captured Lucy and took her to their headquarters. They hear Percy moan as he begins to wake up "Owww, what hit me?" he says as the Erza hugs him hard, banging his head against her armored chest.

Phantom Lord Prison.

Lucy still tries to find a way out of her prison. As she studies her cell the master of Phantom Lord approaches her. "Apologies Miss Heartfillia but until we arrive at our destination, you are our prisoner." Lucy freezes at the use of her surname. "Why did you attack us?"

Jose pauses "Us?" he asks before chuckling, "Oh you mean Fairy Tail. That was just a bonus. We were hired after all to capture a certain individual. One who just so happened to be in Fairy Tail at the time."

"Who was it? Who hired you and who were you trying to capture?" Lucy yells out of fear.

"For a member of the Heartfillia family, you aren't that bright are you. Your father, Jude Hearfillia hired us to bring you back. Isn't that lovely, a father wanting to see his daughter back home?" Jose states with a twisted smile donning his face.

Lucy, enraged at the fact her father forced his hand and threatened the people she cared about but also smart enough to realize that Jose was her way out, yells "Release me at once."

"Im afraid we cannot do that. We can provide you better quarters but that depends on how you behave." Lucy shakes her head and begins to squirm "Its not that. Its just, I really need to use the bathroom" she murmurs acting embarrassed. Jose doesn't fall immediately for it "Tch lame excuse my dear, but if you really do need to go" he says as he tosses her a bucket.

Lucy looks at the bucket before sighing. She stands over the bucket, shocking Jose. "YOURE ACTUALLY GOING TO DO IT HERE!" Jose yells astonished at the behavior of a supposed princess. "I said I had to go didn't I?" Lucy exclaims acting frustrated with the situation. Jose then turns "I can't believe you are acting in such a despicable manner, the guild must have changed you. Fortunately Im a gentleman and as such I will not watch as you EEEEK" Jose screams as Lucy kicks him right between the legs bruising his balls.

"Too bad for you Im not so ladylike" Lucy grins as she runs to the door opening it only to see clouds. She realizes that she's high in the air.

"There is no escape. This is our Sky Prison and the only way out is to throw yourself off the edge. Now go back to your cell or face my wrath" Jose cups his testicles as he gingerly makes her way to her. Lucy then closes her eyes. She sensed someone's magical power growing closer to her position so she launches herself off the edge much to Jose's shock.

"NATSU" She cries out for the fire dragon slayer. Natsu races along the ruin of a building and jumps in order to catch her. Once in his arms he twists his body so that as they crash onto another ruin he takes the brunt of damage before they land on the ground.

"Wow it's raining Lucys!" Happy exclaims. Lucy had landed on top of Natsu, but as they got up, he noticed her feeling down. "Lucy whats wrong?" Natsu genuinely worried. Happy stops as well and notices tears running down her face "It's all my fault. Im the reason Phantom attacked!" She cries out while holding her hands to her face. Natsu gently rubs her back "Lucy I don't know why you believe that but it isn't. No matter the reason, Phantom chose this and we're going to end it." He kneels down for her to climb on which she does as he walks back to the guild, with her sleeping comfortably on his back.

Later in the Fairy Tail Basement

Lucy still feels guilty over everything as she tells her guild mates everything Jose has told her. No one in the guild blames Lucy whatsoever but one question does linger. Happy asks the question on everyone's mind, "Lucy why didn't you tell us you were a member of Heartfillia?" Lucy looks down "Back home I was never thought of as a daughter. My father never cared about me. All I was for him was a tool to be used to expand his reach. And when I ran, he didn't care for so long I lived far from home and yet only now he comes for me."

Percy walks over to Lucy and hugs her gently "You never were Lucy Heartfillia to me or anyone here. You were always Lucy the celestial mage. And no matter what he thinks, that will never change" he tells her as she hugs him back fiercely. Erza goes to take a shower as she assesses the situation. Cana tries to pinpoint Mystogan using her fortune telling cards before throwing her cards in the air. "No good, Mystogan is nowhere to be found." Mira hears this and exclaims with a sign. "Master is injured and is being treated and Gildarts is still too far away, Mystogan is nowhere to be found. That only leaves you Laxus" She says as she talks to Laxus through a crystal.

Laxus is absolutely livid. Phantom just had to attack while he was away, and what's worse they hurt several members including his little brother. He also knows that he and his team are too far to come back to help with the outcome. But there is one thing they could do. "We're not able to come back immediately as we're too far. But I think Mystogan may be targeting the outer branches of Phantom Lord. We're close enough to some so we'll target them. In the meantime heal your wounded and if they attack again I expect you punks to make them pay. If I come back and find Lucy gone from the guild I'll kick your asses all the way down the streets understand" Natsu motivated by his speech yells "Just don't take too long Laxus I hate for you to miss the fun here."

Laxus cockily smiles as he cuts the connection. He turns to his team as they begin preparations. "So Phantom decided to make an enemy out of us?" Evergreen, nicknamed "Kind Medusa" by the resident prankster and the only female member of the Raijinshu, states the obvious. Freed, the enchantment genius, holds his anger "They will pay for their crimes. Isn't that right Bickslow?" The loudmouth doll mage, who's still mad at Percy for painting his dolls as he slept, yells "HELL YEAH We're not gonna let them get away with this now where to Laxus." Laxus nods to his team. "We're heading to take out the outer branches. Mystogan probably has taken out some so we need to keep up." "SIR YES SIR." The Thunder Tribe race towards one of Phantom Lord's outer branches to send a message to the main culprits.

Porylisca's Hut

"Well well look at yourself. You've been exhausted of magical power so easily" The witch complains as she finishes her diagnosis of Makarov. Alzack and Bisca stand worriedly over her. "How bad is it? Will he recover?" They ask. "How about you leave and get back to your guild instead of gawking at him! Besides your worrying faces won't help him" Porylisca yells at the two forcing them to back off.

"To have lost so much in such a short time, no doubt wind magic was involved. As soon as his magic was drained, it floated in the air before disappearing. If only we could've recovered it. But since we didn't it will take a lot longer for him to get back on his feet" Porylisca says to herself

"So that was what happened" Bisca unwisely says drawing the witch's ire once again.

"Did I not tell you to leave?! Get back to your guild immediately!" She yells at the two as they run yelling their apologies. She turns back to her patient. "Makarov, you need to get better. Your children, they're scared and confused. One of them is already on the verge. They need you now more than ever.

Fairy Tail Guild.

As she showers, Erza takes in everything she's heard from Lucy and the day's events. She never blamed Lucy for Phantom's actions as they were only looking for an excuse to come after them. But with Makarov ill, Gildarts away on his mission, Laxus and his team too far to help, and Mystogan nowhere to be found, it falls to her to save her guild.

As she dries off she feels the earth tremble. Something large is headed their way. She hurriedly re-equips her armor on as she sprints outside with the other guild members. Out on the lake they see a giant mechanical structure approaching them with a giant cannon aimed right at them.

"Die Fairy Tail!" They hear the sound of Jose as he prepares to fire.

Took a lot longer than anticipated. I'm sorry you guys. I was dealing with a cold and insomnia. But I will not stop with this story.

Next Time: Fairy Tail make their stand. Percy is avenged. And Gruvia will be born.
