Another Thanks To Our Pal "TheWangY"
Astrid got a firm hold on Hiccup as Toothless finally leveled himself, giving the couple time to prepare themselves. She couldn't help but laugh, despite Hiccup's annoyance.
"Toothless! What is wrong with you?!".
"Emm, Hiccup, You might wanna prepare for…"
Astrid didn't have to finish her warning as Hiccup noticed Toothless already folded his wings, and then rolled himself down toward the wavy ocean below. She remembered how afraid she was then, but now she's happier than ever. Toothless is trying to recreate her first flight.
*You want a Romantic Flight!* Toothless replied as he hopped through the waves, *I'm giving you one!*.
He then shot himself up the sky before starting to spin, but this time, grace fully. It was fun, but Astrid started to wish she braided her hair like that day as she tried to get her hair off her face.
"Oh, how long does this last? Thank you for nothing, you useless reptile." Hiccup asked nauseously as Toothless spun himself down toward the sea.
*Not really long.* Toothless answered as he finally spread his wings a few meters above the ocean.
The couple sighed, and chuckled in relief as the silly part was finally over. Toothless smiled as he could feel the couple relax and lean into each other on his back. Astrid smiled at the vanilla sunset before Toothless headed up into the clouds.
She remembered that back then, the sky was a world she'd never dreamed of, but now… I'm glad I've grown up among the sky, she thought as she confidently let herself go. I am free… with my family and the sky.
Toothless rose above the cloud blanket where the stars were bidding their congratulations. The Valkyries Northern Lights flew around them like glowing ribbons across the endless sky.
Hiccup gently let go of the handle, and then turned to face his lover. Toothless smiled as he watched the couple share their kiss, then looked over to his right. Luna soared to him through the clouds, and smiled at the human couple. She then reached her wing out towards her lover.
The Furies' wings touch as they glide across the night, it wasn't a fancy flight like the mating flight they had when he first had the auto-tail on, just a simple glide above the cloud, but content, they were.
Toothless was no longer aware of the human couple on his back, and they no longer noticed the dragon mates too. Love had no identities or species, only spirits… and in that romantic moment, there's no Hiccup and Astrid, or Toothless and Luna… only The Spirits Of Love.
- The Haddock House, New Berk.
Fishlegs, Snotlout and the twins sat by the fire at the balcony, then stood up after Toothless and Luna landed outside.
"Well congrats! YOU TWO!" Ruffnut rushed to hug Astrid after she dismounted.
"Thanks, another good news." Astrid pointed at the Furies couple, "We'll have a double wedding!".
Fishlegs smiled and rushed to hug Toothless. Then Tuffnut offered the Night Fury a fist bump as Snotlout approached the Light Fury.
"Have fun with the Crazy Night Fury." Snotlout bid his congratulations.
*Sure, Human Lout.* Luna gave him a smug smile.
"Can I do your gown? pleaseeeeeeeee." Ruffnut asked the soon-to-be bride.
"Sure, Ruff." Astrid chuckled.
Then Tuffnut and Snotlout rushed to Hiccup.
"Nope, Gobber will do my gown." Hiccup stopped them before they could open their mouths.
"What? Are you dumb? We're not tailors." Tuffnut rolled his eyes, "We're talking about security settings!.
"Everyone will attend your wedding, what if someone attacks?" Snotlout asked.
The couple looked at each other, it's going to be their big day, they don't wanna think about fighting off hunters, but Snotlout's right, they can't let their guard down.
"Fine, I trust you both." Hiccup said before he started smiling smugly, "Make sure the hunters regret coming to our wedding day.".
"Yay!" Tuffnut and Snotlout fist bumped.
- Plaza, New Berk.
Gobber walked Hiccup through the market for fabric as a few dragons were taking a sunbath on the roofs. The two entered a shop, and went through several shades of white fabrics and bear skins.
Ruffnut smiled at the sample of Hiccup's pick Gobber sent to her, and started measuring Astrid. She later sent the sketch of the gown's design to Gobber, and let the man handle the groom's design.
Snotlout and Tuffnut designed the security trap with Eret's help, and ordered the builders to get it set around the foot of the monolithic island. However, they also informed the fisherman to be cautious along with the tidal dragons in those areas, because even the trap they designed would only knock a dragon back a few meters, they'd prefer knocking only their enemies.
- Fishlegs House, New Berk.
Astrid smiled as she tried on her wedding dress. Tomorrow… Tomorrow will be the day she finally ties that knot with Hiccup. The gown was perfect, but it felt like something was missing. Ruffnut tilted her head as she looked at her work.
"A crown! You need a flower crown!" Ruffnut quickly got Astrid out of the gown, "I hope Fishlegs still has left us some Freya's.".
The two rushed inside Fishlegs's garden at the back of the house as Luna was picking the flower with the chubby man.
"Legs!" Ruffnut shouted as she entered the garden with the soon-to-be bride, "Leave us some Freya's!".
Fishlegs and Luna looked at them in confusion as the man was making a crown of only blue daisy-esque flowers, the Blue Anemone. Astrid smiled, what would Hiccup and Toothless pick for themselves? She wondered.
*You can pick them over there.* Luna pointed at the blooming Freya's tree.
"Thanks." Astrid replied, and collected the flowers with Ruffnut.
Then Stormfly came to pick her up after sunset as Luna flew back to The Hidden World.
- The Haddock House, New Berk.
Astrid sat by the hearth with a tea cup in her hands as Stormfly preened herself at the opposite side. She knows tomorrow won't change a thing except the name of the relationships she and Hiccup have with one another, but at the same time, she couldn't shake off the worries as she wondered what Hiccup is doing with Toothless at this moment.
Stormfly nuzzled her rider, trying to reassure the soon-to-be bride. Then a knock came. Astrid put the cup away, and got it opened, surprised by the guest guest before her.
*Can I join?* Luna asked.
Astrid nodded, and stepped back to let the Light Fury in. Luna activated Stormfly's telepathy, knowing the Nadder would certainly wanna join the girls' talk.
*Can't sleep too?* Stormfly asked the Light Fury.
*I chose not to.* Luna replied as she lay near the fire.
"Then what's bothering you?" Astrid asked as she grabbed her tea, and sat on the floor to join the dragons.
The dancing fire on the logs reflected the Light Fury's blue eyes.
*You know him longer than me, then maybe you can answer me for him.* Luna slowly, but firmly turned to face Astrid, *Do you think he'd regret later being my mate?*.
"Where does this come from?" Astrid asked calmly.
Luna turned to Stormfly, *You knew our community norms.*.
