~ New Berk

The Royal Family of Light Furies and The Hidden World's dragons flew their way towards the island. The Lacy blankets of snow embraced New Berk, creating glowing sparkles on the monument of Old Berk's former glory. Gobber and Eret yawned after a gleam radiant of sunlight flew inside their room. Then smiled as they realized, it's time.

Vikings left their colorful houses in their best outfits, and headed towards the main plaza, where a giant stone statue of Stoick stood. The Royal Family of Light Furies landed at the front row among the riders.

Hiccup and Toothless stood nervously beneath Stoick's statue, dressed in fine clothing and flower crown. Then Gothi pointed towards the end of the carpet path. Both the groom and Fury's eyes went wide at the sight of the bride and the Light Fury.

The pink flowers formed a beautiful crown around Astrid's head as her white gown caressed the carpet. All her hair was down, resting on her back as the winter air decorated it with glitter snowflakes.

It was a last minute change, but Fishlegs and Luna were glad that went along with 2 Blue Anemones tucked in her both appendages on the top of her head instead of the flower crown.

Gobber and Valka smiled as they watched Gothi wrap Hiccup and Astrid's hands in a ceremonial cloth. Then drew a horizontal 8 symbols on the Furies head. Gothi nodded, and the human couple kissed as the Furies flew up and joined their fire blast in the air, creating a rain of purple sparkles.

The crowds of Vikings and Dragons burst into cheers. Gobber threw his arm up in the air, and the flowers flew off his prosthetic… landing right into Eret's hands. Eret and Gobber looked at each other nervously through the distance between them. Hiccup smiled and stepped up, signaling Toothless for a blast. The Vikings and dragons silenced and turned toward the newly wedded chief.

"Are you writing this down, Fishlegs?" The blonde man nodded back with his paper ready, "Today is a special day for me and my wife." the Furies nudged them, "And for my bud and his mate." He chuckled before turning serious, "But there are also people who can't have today like us. I have seen plenty of Viking men, and sometimes even women and women put down roots, and still did their fantastic job as warriors, but still they receive no respect, or even simple rights… Cast out by their own people." Snotlout and Spitelout looked at each other ruefully then turned back to Hiccup. "Starting today, from now on… same gender marriage will be legal." Hiccup declared.

The reactions were mixed, some indignant, happy, disgusted, confused, and some relieved. Fear crawled into his blood as his people looked at him, waiting for his explanation. Astrid smiled and took his hand.

"Every couple will receive the same honor just like any couple should, and the right to establish their new family. We are Vikings, it doesn't matter who we vow to, as long as we have the warrior spirit in us… We are Vikings!".

The crowds burst into cheers, there were many grumpy faces of people who didn't agree, but this is the first step, and they know it will light up one of the most extraordinarily bright futures. Many couples approached the newly wedded Chief and Chieftress, thanking their leaders with tears in their eyes.

Gobber gave Hiccup a light pat on the shoulder proudly. Snotlout and Spitelout still have their distances, but at least the young man could finally get that mountain off his shoulder… he didn't ruin generations of his family honor.

"Nice job my pupil." Tuffnut smirked at the chief.

"This is all I can do, the rest is up to you." Hiccup patted the man on the shoulder, "Glad you're yourself again.".

Tuffnut chuckled as he rubbed his clean chin, no more lying to himself about the beard.

"Snotlout's idea... And so was the trap…"

~ Meanwhile ~

Few ships of hunters tried to dock their boat on the island, but a wooden spring trap in the shape of a large hand with the middle finger on full display sent the entire ship flying.

The Newly wedded couple and the Furies left the plaza after the stars decorating the sky, and the streets were free of Vikings. All the riders were here, and so was their dragon, but…

"Oh hey! Barf! Belch!" Tuffnut greeted.

"Where have you guys been?" Ruffnut asked.

The two-headed dragon looked at each other, and then offered Toothless their head. The Night Fury activates their telepathy.

*We Came Here To Ask For The Permission To Leave.*

Everyone looked at them in shock and confusion as Ruffnut and Tuffnut started shaking. The Zippleback looked away shamefully.

*Since we hatched, we've always been relying on our family because of our own disharmony.* Barf explained, *We were lost, and not even ready to fly on our own when She killed them.*.

*Linda and Aurora offered us to join their travel, so we think if we leave our comfort zone, we might finally learn to grow and understand each other.* Belch explained, *But we won't leave without permission.*.

Toothless approached the distressed dragon and told them to look at him.

*You guys will always be a part of our flock, you guys won't need my permission to choose your path.* Toothless reassured them as Ruffnut and Tuffnut finally reached out for their dragon.

"What about one last flight?" Tuffnut chuckled ruefully.

Snotlout, Fishlegs, Hiccup, and Astrid looked at their dragons, and nodded after everyone made their choice.

Everyone needs to grow, aren't they?

Make sure you make a secure password for online accounts folks, I learnt the lesson the hard way. Thanks to Thor I managed to recover from the hack.

I know B&B leaving Berk might feel like it came out of nowhere, they aren't main characters, and I can add their parts through our main character's eyes. I didn't add any big conflict between B&B with Ruff & Tuff, because I want it to be like a simple friendship that went separate during coming of age.

I mean after Tuffnut moved in with Fishlegs, the twins barely hangout anymore (which is how normal siblings went on to have their life, I guess). One settles down, and has a family, and Tuffnut finally starts living as himself not as "The only man in the family", "the goofy one", or "Tuffnut's brother", but as himself.
