Chapter 14: Rebuild, Recover.

Natsu had asked Bickslow to drop him off by the giant. There was something he needed to know. He wandered about trying to find the scent of the dragon slayer he just beat and found him staring at the water near one of the ruins.

"Oi Gajeel I have questions for you" Natsu yells before accidentally tumbling over getting closer to him. The black haired mage growls in annoyance, not only did he lose to Salamander but now he had to deal with him rubbing it in. Besides he had heard something he shouldn't have and was starting to wonder if being a member of Phantom Lord was worth it.

Natsu gets up and approaches Gajeel, stating "Oi I want to ask you something." "Piss off" Gajeel responds still sulking. Natsu doesn't take the hint and asks "I never seen anyone other than Laxus who had the same kind of magic as I do. Where did you learn it from?" "I said piss off, I ain't gonna answer any stupid questions" Gajeel yells at Natsu as they end up head-butting, re-aggravating their wounds.

As Natsu rubs his head, he hears Gajeel say, "Metalicana, the iron dragon." Natsu stares at Gajeel in disbelief, before asking "Your dragon disappeared too?!" Gajeel turns around in shock "What do you mean disappeared? You mean you were taught by a dragon?" Natsu still in deep though answers "Igneel taught me. He disappeared as well." Gajeel turns away, the hope that Natsu might know something vanishes. Natsu then perks up asking "Gajeel about Metalicana, he didn't happen to disappear seven years ago on the seventh month did he?" Gajeel again stunned "On the seventh day. No way a coincidence. July the seventh, X777". Natsu understandably confused yells "WHATS WITH ALL THE SEVENS?!" "HOW SHOULD I KNOW?!" the two head-butt again not learning from their mistake earlier.

Natsu, satisfied with the information he got, attempts to leave, Gajeel then asks "Salamander, about the kid." Natsu eyes darken as he had heard Percy's tearful scream. "Tell me you got the bastard who hurt him" Gajeel says with a look of pure rage on his face. Natsu studies Gajeel for a moment. Gajeel was the one who trashed their guild and he hurt Levy and her team, something no one in the guild would forgive. But Natsu, during their fight could tell that Gajeel was not a bad person, just lost. The anger on Gajeel's face proves it. "I promise that whoever hurt him will suffer. Now you might want to leave." Gajeel then angrily yells "YOU TRESPASSING ON OUR GUILD YOU LEAVE!"

Natsu leaves the seething dragon slayer satisfied with the information and the fact that he was internally right about Gajeel. He heads back to the guild where he hopes to learn more about what happened and to cheer up his fellow guild mates.

Fairy Tail

Everyone stands outside of the wrecked guild, with Laxus holding Percy who was still out. Makarov studies the damage and sighs. Thankfully it isn't as bad as it seemed, only Gajeel's attack was evident. But emotionally, the guild is hurt. Percy's admission was heard by everyone, leaving everyone shocked. Some wanted to find the monster who traumatized their little brother, Elfman, Gray, Laxus, Natsu, Erza, and even Mirajane. Others wanted to make sure that Percy was still fine as he had yet to wake up since Makarov put him to sleep. But most importantly, everyone wanted to make sure that Percy was able to move on.

Makarov was still in deep thought when he heard Lucy approach. He can feel the guilt and sadness in the young girl's heart as she tries to apologize, "Master I just wanted to say, I'm so sorry for everything." Laxus stops her in her tracks "None of this is your fault newbie. I know more than you think about fathers who don't give a crap." All of a sudden Levy and her team as well as Reedus and Ur come forward. Levy, still cheerful despite her injuries, says "We don't blame you Lucy. We never did." Lucy starts to tear up seeing Levy back standing and when her eyes move to Percy, she can't hold her tears in. She hides her face behind her hands.

Makarov however lets her know "Lucy, though we may not be able to share each other's happiness and sadness entirely, we do share them to some extent in this guild. One person's happiness becomes everyone's happiness. One person's anger becomes everyone's anger." Makarov looks at the young boy in Laxus's arms before continuing "one person's pain becomes everyone's pain, and one person's tears becomes everyone's tears. There's no reason for you to feel guilty, so don't cry. You should already know how everyone here cares for you." Lucy still sobbing behind her hands as the weight of Makarov's words hits her. "Hold your head high dear, for you are a proud member of the Fairy Tail family"

Lucy pulls her hands down and weeps openly, causing everyone around her to comfort her in some way. Makarov however takes in the whole situation, and the possible consequences and cries himself causing Laxus and Erza to try to calm him down.

A week later

A lot has happened to Fairy Tail. The Rune Knights had to take every member in for questioning in order to determine who the guilty party was. Each member was questioned extensively, even Lucy, before a verdict was given. Due to insurmountable evidence and eye witness testimony, the council concluded that Phantom Lord was the guilty party and disbanded the guild. They released Fairy Tail members and they began working on constructing a new guildhall.

However, not everything was fine with the guild. Percy was still out of it. And nothing could be done to awaken the boy. Porylusica herself couldn't understand why the boy was still out. And every day the boy was sleeping was another worrying day. Lucy also took to writing one last letter to her late mother detailing everything that had happened, a habit she developed since she first joined the guild. But her thoughts were on her father and his blatant attempt at forcing her to come back. She knew she had to do something, otherwise he could try again.

As reconstruction continues, Natsu and Gray keep on trying to one up the other. What no one saw, though, was the rain woman, Juvia, tailing the ice mage. She had fallen hard for Gray but she also was shy and she wasn't sure how the guild would welcome her, a former enemy, to their ranks. So she stayed in hiding.

Laxus and his team were also helping with reconstruction, barring Evergreen who had volunteered to watch over Percy in the hopes he woke up. She and Percy did not start off well as she was the only member of the Raijinshu that hadn't accepted him as a little brother. She was still battling her own demons and couldn't afford to play nice with the boy. Yet when Percy's six months of pranks hit, she was the last person out of the Raijinshu, outside of Laxus to get pranked. Freed coming to the guild with dyed blonde and spikey hair broke the first crack in her defenses and Bickslow's dolls disappearing before being found in underneath Bickslow's bed broke the dam. She didn't even get mad when she got pranked, her hands were stuck together when she woke up one day, and ever since they were good friends. Whenever she was feeling down, Percy was the first to ask her what's wrong, just as he did with every member, and he never felt threatened by her.

Natsu and Gray had decided to take a break in construction as Happy sat with them. Gray comments, "Wow I'm getting kinda hungry right about now." All of a sudden, a wave of water flows through the three making the three members look around trying to figure out what happened. Gray looks at his hands as they feel heavy only to find a lunchbox. He opens it only to find his face made out of veggies. Happy wonders "Wow I think this may be one of those character lunches your face looks totally edible." Gray sulks as he still feels hungry, "I can't eat this it's too weird." Breaking Juvia's heart as she laments on the days she spent making that lunch

Erza storms over to two with the intent of bringing them back to work, when she sees the lunchbox "Is that your face made out of veggies?" she asks before taking a fork taking a piece, scaring Gray as it was from the veggie face's eye. Erza comments on how good it tastes prompting a fantasy for Juvia in which her Gray wishes to marry the woman who made it. It's interrupted when Loke shows up with Lucy's keys. He hands them to Natsu as he asks "Have you guys seen Lucy? She dropped these and I wished to return them." Happy studies him and remarks "Loke what's wrong you look horrible?" Loke assures everyone he's fine as he walks away. But internally he feels close to death's door.

The Next day.

It turns out Lucy had gone to back to her homestead just to threaten her father and made sure that he never go after Fairy Tail again. Natsu, Gray, Erza, and Happy were all worried when they found her apartment empty with a note saying she was going home. Thankfully it was all a misunderstanding.

Lucy is at the makeshift bar with Mira as they watch over Percy's unconscious body. Lucy, still heartbroken over Percy's horrible childhood, is hoping for the best. Suddenly out of nowhere Percy's body begins to glow. Horrified, Lucy and Mira alert everyone of what's happening. When they return however, they find three large men standing over Percy. Erza re-equips her BlackWing Armor and attempts to charge at the three before Laxus grabs her stopping her in her tracks. Laxus, recognizing one of the men, states "I never did get your name, but I'm assuming the three of you were the ones who Percy eluded to?"

One of the men, a blue haired mountain of a man with gauntlets and armor, bows to the group "Forgive us, we did not wish to startle you, we wished to let you know Percy's situation. I am Obelisk, and these are my brothers, Osiris" he points at the tall and lithe red haired man with wings and a tail, "and Ra" Obelisk then points towards the tanned man with large wings. "We have been living within Percy's mindscape watching over him for the past two years. Only during the Phantom attack did Percy know of our existence"

Makarov steps forward and asks "What are you three exactly? And why is Percy in this state?"

Osiris steps forward "We are Gods from Perseus' world." Lucy then asks, confused "I thought the Olympians were the only Gods left from that world?" Osiris studies the girl and smiles, "Incorrect the Olympians are the most ACTIVE in that world. We had existed over 5000 years ago and for so long we remained sealed, forgotten to time and history. There have been attempts to awaken us but none successful before Perseus arrived."

Mira then asks, "But why Percy? Why did the three of you choose Percy as the one to use your powers?" Ra then answers "Three reasons. The first is his bloodline. 5000 years ago we helped a wise and powerful pharaoh defend his home and seal away the darkness that threatened it. But due to the nature of our powers, we concluded that until we are needed we must remained anchored to the pharaoh's soul. As the man passed, he sealed us into a tablet in Egypt with the promise that only those of his bloodline could call upon us. Perseus is a direct descendant of the pharaoh from his mother's side. The second is his father."

Erza jumps at the statement, "His father, you mean the God of the Seas, Poseidon." Ra nods "The very same. A few centuries ago, there was a massive earthquake that annihilated an entire city." Ra opens a window and shows them the city of Lisbon collapsing due to an earthquake. "Poseidon being the Earth Shaker was blamed for the devastation. When in reality it was us. A faceless human thought he could steal our tablet and demanded us to serve him. We struck him down but in our anger we had annihilated the city."

Natsu sees everyone afraid of asking for the third reason, but he had to anyway, "Was the third reason Percy himself?" Obelisk clenches his fists while lightning dances around Osiris and fire engulfs Ra. The three compose themselves before Obelisk answers "It was. Due to our promise, those descended from the pharaoh would be given a scroll with the chant to call us. So far none have tried, as when we arrived and we deemed the summoner not worthy of our gifts we would leave. We expected Percy to be power hungry as millennia have shown us that humankind was always seeking power. What we found, well it was unpleasant as you know."

Cana then asks "How is Percy sane? That kind of experience could've broken him" Ra then replies "We had pushed the memory of what happened deep into his subconscious as he passed out. Better that he forgot what had happened. Unfortunately, due to Jose's jealousy, Perseus had unintentionally recalled that incident and used our rage to fuel him. The reason he's out right now is that his body is adapting to our power. It will take time but we assure you he will be back."

Everyone in Fairy Tail takes a huge sigh of relief. Makarov still has one question, "How did he come to this world?" Osiris answers, "The creator of our world, and the one who allowed us to live and thrive, sent him here in the hopes that he find a family that would protect and raise him so that he becomes the champion she truly believes he could be. Her name is Chaos"

Alright another chapter done. Also in case you're wondering, dragon slayers have sharper senses so hearing a child scream in anger is fairly easy. Since I can't have Laxus attacking Levy, I need another reason for Levy to like Gajeel before the Tenrou island arc. Also thank you all so much and don't forget to vote.
