Chapter 18: Hero's Welcome
Realm of Chaos
Chaos walks towards Ananke as she watches over the world that they sent Poseidon's son to. "He's grown in the past two years hasn't he?" Chaos says as she watches the guild of Fairy Tail. Ananke replies "Yes but soon the boy's mother will awaken and he will have to return." Chaos slumps as she contemplates the heartache the boy will have to go through "It will be tough but after he has finished with the prophecy he can choose to return. Though I am intrigued. Due to the beasts inside of him, he will need three female mates to pass on their legacy." Ananke shows a picture of Erza as she and her team rest in Akane Resort, "She seems to be one. But due to her age Perseus has not dared to make a move on her. However she and many of the core members will end up trapped in a time-warp for seven years." Chaos takes in the information before suddenly Nyx bursts into the room.
"We have an emergency. A rift was discovered that connected this world to the Earth land world. It's big enough to send a Titan through along with a few monsters. And one has made his way through" Nyx states. Chaos, understandably pissed, asks "Which one went through?" Nyx's answer shocks everyone. "Atlas."
Fairy Tail Guild
Juvia was enjoying her time with Fairy Tail. Already she got to meet several members who she enjoyed being with. Mirjana was the most polite and fun to be around and due to the relationship with Percy she learned all about the pranks that he was able to perform. She couldn't believe the things he was able to do and get away with and hoped she never ended up as a target. Levy was also fun to be around, despite their initial meeting when Levy unconsciously shied away from Julia due to the whole Phantom Lord business, as Levy was the smartest girl in the room always quick on her feet with her solid script
Cana was one female Juvia just didn't understand. Drinking habits and flirting aside, which she found a bit disturbing as her eyes were solely on Gray, she was a kind woman who knew how to have fun but there was something she was hiding deep inside. Juvia knew it wasn't any of her business and if Cana wished to talk to her she would be happy to listen to her.
Biscay and Alzack were basically a couple that have yet to tie the knot. Jet and Droy were fighting over Levy's attention while the girl didn't really feel anything for the two. Macao and Wakaba were veterans who kept on reminiscing the past. Each member of Fairy Tail had their own quirks as Juvia had discovered. Suddenly the doors open.
"We're back" yells a smiling Percy who's running with a giant smile on his face. Everyone sighs as that smile of his means one thing, he pranked someone. Suddenly a teenager's laugh and a giant's footsteps could be heard as Makarov's giant form storms into the guild. "WHERE ARE YOU TWERP?" Everyone looks shocked as Makarov's face had bits and pieces of a pie falling off. He got Makarov again. However any feeling of fear turned into anger as they see Gajeel at the door.
Gajeel couldn't believe it. The kid had innocently asked the old geezer for some jewels for a pie. Neither Gajeel nor Makarov expected anything as Percy walked into a bakery and bought a simple apple pie. Once they got closer to the guild, the kid had the gall to slam the pie into Makarov's face before bolting into the guild. Gajeel couldn't stop laughing at the scene but he immediately sobered up as he entered the guild and stood face to face with Laxus, grandson of Makarov Dreyar and one of the strongest wizards in Fiore. The iron dragon slayer mentally prepared himself for the beat down he expected, and deserved, but it didn't come. He looked down and noticed Laxus reaching his hand out. Nervously he accepts the handshake. "Welcome to Fairy Tail Gajeel. Word of warning, that little prank you saw earlier is Percy just flexing. By the end of the next month, half the guild will have been pranked. So you better watch yourself" Laxus warns playfully before changing his expression as he squeezes Gajeel's hand "Don't expect anyone here to forgive you easily. You gotta earn it. The only reason Juvia is here is because of she healed Percy and she helped out Erza and her team. So if you screw up just once, the beating you got from Natsu would end up looking like a massage" Laxus threatens him as he lets go and finds Percy before his grandfather kills him.
Gajeel took Laxus's words to heart. He knew that it would be a struggle but he promised himself he would make things right. He looked around and saw Juvia talking to the girl that he attacked prior and made his way to them. Levy, seeing Gajeel, excuses herself and walks away from a startled Juvia as she hides from Gajeel. Gajeel sighs before sitting down next to Julia. "So what brought you here Clammy" he asks her using his pet name for Juvia, which brings a pout to her face before she smiles as she retells her adventures.
Next Day
Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Gray, and Erza stand in shock as they admire the new guild hall. They couldn't believe it was finished so quickly. Natsu however feels nostalgic as he rejects the new additions, an outdoor café, a gift shop, a pool. Even the interior design felt off to him. Erza notices the standoffish behavior and asks "Everything alright Natsu?" Natsu just sighs and shakes his head "It's just not the same." Levy and Lucy catch up as Levy explains the new upgrades to the guild. Once everything is explained Makarov walks over to the returning mages and says, "Welcome back brats allow me to introduce one of our newest members, Juvia." Juvia walks over in a white and blue dress. Gray smiles as he asks "Oh so you decided to join us huh?" All of a sudden Percy jumps in front of Juvia with an evil smirk on his face "Oh Gray is that excitement I hear in your voice? And Juvia am I imagining a blush on your face when Gray asked you?" he teases the two as they both don blushes as they try to deny Percy's claims.
Natsu all of a sudden sniffs the air, recognizing someone's scent from before. He turns around and sees Gajeel sitting eating a chunk of iron. "WHY IS HE HERE?!" Natsu demands as he ignites his fists. Erza and Gray prepare themselves for a fight when all of a sudden Percy jumps in front of them. "Wait Gajeel is no longer an enemy. Gramps and I talked to him and he's now a member of Fairy Tail" Percy explains to the angry and shocked group. Natsu marches to Gajeel and asks "Why the hell are you here iron freak?" "None of your damn business Salamander. If it were up to me I wouldn't even be here. But times were tough so I had to join." Percy walks in between the two dragon slayers and pushes them apart as he berates the two "Guys stop. Gajeel it wouldn't look good if you decided to start a brawl with Natsu. Natsu, Gajeel willingly joined us everyone deserves a second chance." Erza turns towards her surrogate father and sees him nod before sighing "Very well then he can stay but he better not pose any problems" she states.
Percy walks towards Erza and notices her bandages. "Erza come with me please" he asks softly as he walks towards the exit heading towards the lake. Erza, confused, follows him and watches as he sits with his legs in the lake. Percy takes a deep breath and begins "Erza when I was asleep for those two weeks I was dreaming one dream after the other. Some of those dreams were of stuff that happened back when while others hinted towards the future. I saw what you had to go through as a child and I saw what you almost did recently"
Erza, now understanding why Percy was feeling off, tries to explain but Percy wasn't having it. "I saw you put yourself into the lacrima Erza" Percy states as tears fall down his eyes. Erza feeling remorseful walks towards Percy and sits down next to him. She takes a long look at the lake and promises "I'm sorry you had to see that Percy. I promise I will not do something like that ever again." Percy hugs her afraid of letting go as she returns the hug. "Don't ever leave me Erza" he whispers. Erza looks down on the boy and swears "I won't."
Percy then apologizes, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you before you left. I should've told you about the dream I had. If I told you about Jellal then you would've been prepared." Erza stops him and kisses his forehead, making him blush, "I could never be angry at you Percy. It's cute to see you worry though. Maybe you should join my team that way you could protect me" she teases him. Percy laughs and jokes "I would probably have to grab buckets of water with me just to deal Natsu and Gray alone."
They both laugh at the joke and Erza's back flares up in pain. Percy notices and creates a water bed. "Go ahead Erza. I'll wait" he says as he dives into the water. Erza smiles as she re-equips into her bra. She lays onto the bed as Percy rises from the water wearing a blindfold. He makes his way to Erza and rubs his hands across her shoulder blades relieving any tension there. "What happened with your old friends Erza? Juvia told us what had happened but she came before you guys arrived by a few days" Percy asks as he moves onto her back.
Erza closes her eyes and recalls the tearful goodbye "They wanted to explore the world they were robbed of. I wish them well" she answers, sounding remorseful. Percy keeps working on her back healing her wounds and releasing the tension built within her back "I know you'll see them again someday. And I'm sorry about what happened to Simon" he says. Erza eyes tear up at the mention of Simon, but Percy's hands make her forget the experience momentarily.
Once Percy is done he turns away from Erza giving her space to recover. Erza stands up and keeps her bra on as she hugs Percy from behind leaning his head against her melons. "I meant what I said Percy. If you wish you can be on my team permanently. That way at least we have someone who can heal us when things go wrong." Percy removes the blindfold and looks up at Erza. Seeing her smile down on him he returns the hug before nodding "Okay I will join your team. Now let's make it official" he says. Erza lets go of the boy before re-equipping her armor on. Together the two walk into the guild hand in hand, not knowing what they're doing to each other as their hearts beat harder against their chests.
Unknown location
A large man walks around a town as he surveys his new surroundings. Somehow he was able to get free from his curse with help from his mother but when he got out he was sucked into this world. Thankfully a few hellhounds and monsters followed him through. Suddenly one of his scouts he sent to scour the lands beyond returns and reports "Sire, we have determined what world we are in. According to the natives, this land is called Earth land. Specifically, we are in the kingdom of Fiore. However the hounds have detected the scent of a powerful half-blood boy. It may be one of The Three." The man brings out his spear and sharpens the blade before asking "Very interesting, and where is said scent emitting from?" The scout reports back "A city not too far from here, called Magnolia."
The man stands as he orders "Very well we are to move to Magnolia and recover the half-blood. He may be the one who the prophecy mentioned and could prove to be useful." Everyone stands and salutes the man before chanting "Understood Lord Atlas." Atlas walks alone as he thinks to himself "Soon the Olympians will feel our might once again. And this time the Primordials will not interfere."
Alright another chapter done. The team has added a fifth member to their squad while also meeting Juvia and Gajeel. Percy's feelings for Erza grow unknown to her Erza starts developing feelings for Percy as well. And now Atlas is in Fiore! How could this be?
Next Time: Atlas recalls how he escapes. And the party that was promised for Percy is underway.
