Chapter 20: Atlas Strikes
Macao, Romeo, and Percy walked down the streets of Magnolia, their hands filled with decorations. "I can't believe we're just a few days from Fantasia dad" Romeo remarks his eyes lighting up as he recalls the last celebration. "Well son, not only is your dad going to take part in it like last time, but this time Percy will be involved" Macao responds earning a glare from said Percy. Percy, still having issues with performing in front of a crowd, takes solace in the fact that at least every one else is involved. "So why are we the only ones doing supply grab? Where is everyone else?" Percy asks.
Macao's eyes tear up. "Today there's a beauty contest for all the female members of Fairy Tail. The most beautiful women in our guild are posing for us and we're just out grabbing decorations" he says crying tears of sadness. Percy laughs at the poor guy as he contemplates "Well if I had to bet I'd say it would be a tie between Erza and Mira. But I also know that Lucy needs this so chances are Mira will probably screw things on purpose." Percy stops in his tracks sensing something following them. Macao and Romeo look back as they see Percy drop his load on the ground before reaching for his sword. "Percy what's wrong?" Romeo asks. Macao notices that Percy sensed something wrong and put his decorations down on the ground.
"Romeo head back to the guild right now. Tell Master Makarov that we're under attack. Don't stop for anything whatsoever do you understand?" Macao orders his son whose eyes are wide in fear. Percy looks back with a smile as he says "Don't worry Romeo everything will be fine. Just head back and tell Gramps what's happening." Romeo looks at the two people he looked up to and, with tears in his eyes, turns away and runs back to the guild.
Percy and Macao readied themselves as five massive dogs charged towards them. Macao already ignited his fists in purple flames as he casts purple fire bullets at a few while Percy dodged the wild creatures and sliced their stomachs from their sides. Both were surprised that the dogs dissolved into dust but kept their focus as other monsters made their way to the two.
Fairy Tail
Lucy was miffed. She really needed to win this contest for her rent money right now and neither Erza nor Evergreen were helping matters. Mira competing had already thrown off her game and even though she purposefully lost by transforming herself into a female version of Natsu and then Gajeel earning a few shouts of protest from said dragon slayers, she still ended up making this difficult as she used her magic and transformed back to her original form while wearing a lightning themed bikini wowing everyone while bringing a blush on Laxus's face. Evergreen wowed everyone with her Fairy magic earning a catcall from Elfman while Erza re-equipped into a sexy schoolgirl outfit that made the men bleed from their nostrils. She steels herself and steps up to the stage and grabs Virgo's key and is about to summon her when Romeo ran into the guild yelling "FAIRY TAIL IS UNDER ATTACK!"
Everyone stops and turns to the boy who's breathing heavily. Natsu runs to the boy and asked "Romeo weren't you with Percy and your dad? What happened? Who's attacking?" Makarov senses something is wrong and calls on Warren "See if you can find Macao and Percy" he orders hoping that everything is alright. Warren tries to communicate telepathically with the two and his eyes widen. "Percy and Macao are facing hundreds of monsters near the Magic Store. Also it seems that similar beings are coming at us as we speak" he explains. Everyone gets off the stage and gets ready for battle before suddenly a rift opens up.
Two beings emerge from the rift. One female and one male. They're dressed casually however everyone around can feel the power those two being have. The female looks angry and impatient as she rants "I swear I will punish Gaia severely for this. Risking exposure to other worlds is bad enough but sending in a Titan." The male stops her and reprimands her "Sister, it is quite rude to pop into another world and not introduce ourselves. Forgive us, I am Order and this is my sister Chaos. A powerful being escaped from our world onto yours and we are heading to find him and put him right back."
The guild stand in silence before Natsu yells out "Wait you're Chaos the same one that sent Percy to us?" Chaos looks at the boy and sighs as she explains "Yes I am but now is not the time. Monsters from that world have been transported here along with a Titan. Specifically the Titan of Endurance Atlas". Lucy stops and asks "Atlas? Wasn't he imprisoned and was forced to hold up the sky?" The mages give her funny looks as they couldn't believe anyone could accomplish that task. They were shocked, however, when Order nods his head and replies, "Yes he was. However it appears Gaia, the Primordial of the Earth, found a way to free him from his burden. Unfortunately our powers are limited as this world is devoid of godly energy. But while we cannot fight we can open portals that will allow you to surprise your enemies and catch them off guard."
To demonstrate, Chaos created a rift which when opened showed a few monsters passing Magnolia Park. She contemplates the situation out loud "This was a coordinated attack. They're attempting to surround this guild with monsters. But why would she go this far unless" Her eyes widen "OH NO GAIA. Your scheming ends here you won't take him" she says as she opens a portal to Percy's location. The guild stand in shock as Percy is fighting for his life against two humanoid bears.
Magic Store
Percy dodges again and again as the two bears keep swiping their claws at him. Macao is completely out of magic power as they spent so much energy fending off waves of beings he had only read about. All of a sudden a clap was heard. The two bears back off and bow towards a man just as tall as Laxus but with armor on and a spear attached to his back. "I must say I am impressed you've fended off waves of monsters with such ease and skill for someone your age. Even without that weakling's help, it's clear that you are talented" the man praises. Percy glares at the newcomer and asks "And who are you supposed to be? Their shepherd?" The man shakes his head "Is that what your mother taught you how to talk with your elders" he asks, unknowingly earning many glares as the members of the guild watch on.
"Sorry all out of kindness especially when you insult a member of my family. So either talk or fight" Percy demands raising his sword. The man smiles, "That sounded like a challenge. Very well then since you challenged me, I will oblige. However you will soon learn respect" he says as he grabs his spear pointing it at Percy before bringing it back towards his body.
Fairy Tail
Mirajane and Erza watch nervously. The worst possible scenario just happened. Percy sure was talented but this was a far more experienced opponent. Percy's strikes were parried with ease while Atlas's thrusts were far too close. But to Percy's credit, he did not flinch nor did he get frustrated. He kept his cool and waited for opportunities to strike. However while Chaos opened the portal to his location, something was blocking them from interfering. Natsu, Laxus, and Gajeel were punching the portal as hard as they could in order to break the enchantment yet to no avail. Gajeel hated this. He couldn't let that bastard hurt his little brother. Not after Percy accepted him as a brother.
FLASHBACK. One Day After The Party.
Gajeel stood by the Magnolia tree as Jet and Droy cornered him while Levy hid, her confidence gone again. Gajeel sighed before asking "Look I have a job that I need to do so can you make this quick?" Jet snarls at the iron dragon slayer before yelling "Having that stamp doesn't absolve the pain you dealt to our family." Levy tries to calm the two down "Guys please just leave him alone" she says knowing that Gajeel would hurt them much worse than before. Gajeel looks at her and as a result fear takes over her and she hides again.
Gajeel sighs as he takes a step towards her with the intent to apologize. Droy stands in front of him and launches a bunch of seeds into the ground before forcing them to grow into large plants that punch Gajeel. Gajeel takes the punches and doesn't defend himself as he wishes not to harm anyone involved with her. Jet gets in on the action and uses his magic to run faster than sound and deliver fast but powerful blows to Gajeel who again doesn't retaliate. All of a sudden as the two begin to strike him again, a water wall develops in front of Gajeel and from it Percy steps out.
"STOP IT YOU TWO!" he orders Jet and Droy who stopped as they never wished to harm him. Percy takes a look at Gajeel and brings his hands up to try to heal him. Gajeel shakes his head saying "Forget about me small fry, I deserve this. I brought harm onto Fairy Tail and hurt those three. They have every right to hate me." Percy slaps the iron dragon slayer hard sending him back a bit as he used a bit of the giant's strength within. Gajeel looks up at Percy with anger in his eyes but then stops as he sees Percy's eyes watering up. "I refuse to watch anyone from my family get hurt Gajeel. And no matter what you've done, you still are a member of Fairy Tail and as such you're part of my family. And I don't appreciate any members of my family hurting each other on purpose" he says.
Gajeel sat there in stunned silence as did Jet and Droy. Levy moved out of her hiding spot to comfort the young boy. But when she got closer, Percy grabbed her hand as well as Gajeel's and brought the two against each other. "Let the past stay there and let's move on as a family from now on okay?" Percy asks, shedding a tear as he hates to see anyone in his family get hurt. Gajeel takes in a deep breath before saying "Levy, Jet, Droy. I'm sorry for the things I did in the past. I understand if you won't forgive me. After all I was a complete jerk back then." Levy's eyes tear up as she replies "I accept your apology Gajeel and forgive you. And I'm sorry Percy for not stopping those two earlier especially since you weren't trying to defend yourself." Jet and Droy, guilty over harming a teammate who they realized took all their hits just so that he can show how sincere he was, approach the three and apologize for their actions.
Percy smiles before letting go of Levy and Gajeel's hands, He brings them both in for a hug and says "I don't ever want to see my brothers or sisters fighting again got it. The brawl in the guild is fine though." Gajeel looks at Percy incredulously "Seriously you're fine with the brawls?" he asks as Levy, Jet, and Droy have the same mindset. Percy smirks evilly and answers "Well how else am I going to steal Gray's clothes away?" causing the whole group to laugh
FLASHBACK ENDED
Percy starts to breath heavily. He can't get close to the man while that spear of his got far too close a number of times. He senses a large amount of water coming from the pipes underneath them and decides to play dirty. He focuses on the water as pressure builds up in the pipes underneath the magic shop before they burst forcing a large amount of water to flow towards the young demigod.
Atlas was impressed by the boy. Even though he knew the kid could hardly touch him, he was trained well that his thrusts have yet to harm the boy. However when he saw the boy stand still with his hand out, he did nothing as he wanted to see what power the boy possessed. That decision came to haunt him as a large amount of water forced itself between the two before the boy spread his hands out causing it to burst creating steam and then mist. The mist was thick enough that the bear twins couldn't see anything and in their panic failed to notice Percy popping up behind Oerius.
Percy stabbed the standing bear in the back killing it instantly as it turned to dust. Atlas was still trying to find the kid as he couldn't clear the mist away. He heard Oerius screaming and turned towards it but nothing came by. Percy goes back underneath the ground and makes his way to the other bear jumping out above Agrius and slices him in half. Atlas, hearing another scream, turned toward the sound but yet again nothing. Realizing the kid's strategy and angry over the loss of the two bears, he grabs a small knife from his pocket and waits for Percy to come in close. Once he hears Percy pop up, he turns around quickly and slashes the knife upward cutting the kid's left cheek as well as his eye.
Percy steps back roaring in pain while holding the left side of his face as blood pours from it. The mist disappears as he backs up into a wall. Atlas walks towards the little boy. "Next time you will think twice about fighting a Titan. Now stay still or I'll take out the other one" he says. However unknown to the two, they were watched. And there were five mages who were chomping at the bits to avenge their little brother.
Back at the guild.
The mages left in the guild were horrified at the sight before them. Chaos was livid and swore that Atlas would suffer dearly for this. Laxus took off the fur coat and charged up his fist with lighting, prompting Natsu to engulf himself in flames while Gajeel turned his body into iron. Erza re-equipped into her Purgatory Armor with the intent of murdering the bastard who hurt Percy and ruined his handsome face. But the one most shook by the sight, was the one mage that took the little boy in as her little brother.
Mirajane's face darkened as she let out a horrible screech that echoed throughout Magnolia as the demon she held back ever since she lost Lisanna made its return. Rage filled her as she cast the Takeover spell allowing her to transform into a demon using Satan Soul. Once transformed she turns to Erza and they both nod as the charge the portal prompting the three dragon slayers to back off as they hit the portal hard.
Atlas stops and turns around. The spell that Gaia gave him was shattered. All of a sudden two female mages rush at him giving him no time to prepare himself before the demonic one punches him hard enough that he's sent flying. The armored one follows suit as she swings her massive sword down prompting him to roll out of the way. Atlas gets back up and holds his spear in front of him.
Mirajane and Erza are about to continue before they hear a painful whimper. They stop before turning around seeing Percy crying from his good eye as he holds his left one. Mirajane and Erza turn back to normal and run to the little boy. Atlas sees the two distracted by the boy and moves to hurt them "You dare attack a Titan. You girls will regret the day you crossed Atlas" he yells at the two as he charges them. All of a sudden lightning appears in front of him as Laxus stands in front of the Titan, a look of absolute rage donning his face. "And you will regret the day you threatened Fairy Tail. And I swear on my honor as a mage, you will suffer for hurting my little brother." Natsu and Gajeel stand behind him with similar looks of fury. Atlas stayed strong but inwardly he was afraid. One dragon slayer he could defeat. Two dragon slayers would be difficult but not impossible. But three of them was impossible especially without his powers.
There you have it. Atlas has attacked Fairy Tail and hut Percy. Now no Percy will not be a pirate I have a plan for him involving Ra. If you're familiar with Egyptian mythology, you know what I'm talking about. And yes I created a new event for Gajeel and Levy. Also let me know if you want to see Percy date more than just the three. However I will have to include either Rachel or Reyna if you do. After all we can't have Annabeth be the only one Percy likes from his world. Speaking of which remember to vote. I have a new poll up that could have an impact later on in the fanfic. Also no goddesses however they will treat Percy much better than what they did in the books due to his "special" hands.
Next Time: Atlas gets his ass handed to him and Percy gets revenge. And Ra has something for Percy.
