Chapter 21: Fairy Counter

Magnolia Park

Mystogan watches the dust from the monsters he slew blow away. He still doesn't understand how they made their way here. But from what he could gather they were from another world. Possibly Percy's world. Makarov and Laxus had kept him updated with the situation regarding the child. He really did want to meet him since the boy reminded him of someone very similar back in his own world, both in his behavior and power. However, he knew that if Percy were to find out, then Erza would find out, complicating matters. He walked away as other mages arrived seeing only dust in front of them before moving on to the next place.

Central Path

Gray, Juvia, Cana, Lucy, Loke, and Ur were cleaning house with the monsters yet their numbers seemed endless, whether they were massive hounds or snake ladies with nets. Juvia stops as she senses something wrong. "Oh no please no. Not Percy" she mutters. Cana gets in her face and asks her "What's wrong? Why are you panicking? We're in the middle of a battle?" Juvia shakes her head and says "I fear that something bad has happened to Percy. I just hope that I am wrong." Gray surprisingly comforts her, saying, "Percy is tougher than you know. He took on the Thunder Legion by himself in training. Let's finish up here that way we can make it to his position."

All of a sudden, the monsters stopped and started falling back. Lucy, confused by the strange action, asks "Where are they headed? The guild isn't that way." Ur similarly confused wonders "Maybe they're trying to reinforce another side. Let's ask Warren" Loke, in his Celestial form, has another idea "We can follow them and attack them from behind. I believe they may be trying to reinforce the group by the Magic Store. If they intend to capture Percy that would be their rendezvous" With that he heads back into the spirit world as the five mages run after the retreating group.

Fairy Tail Guild

Makarov and Porylusica wait by the guild as Chaos keeps the portals steady. Order observes the situation. "It appears that the monsters' numbers are getting thinner and thinner. Soon the invading force will be nullified. However that barrier that was blocking Percy and Atlas, that came from our world. But why would Atlas have it?" Order questions. Chaos, still livid with Atlas's treatment of the boy, rants "Because Gaia gave it to him. That bitch was grooming Percy to hate the Olympians in by creating that disgusting mortal for Sally to use in order to protect her son. When I get back, Gaia will be punished severely for her actions."

Makarov, stunned at the idea that the person who tormented Percy all these years was but a mere pawn in a large game, asks in disbelief "Why would she do this? According to what you have said, she is the Primordial of Earth. How could she harm her own progeny?" Order sighs as he can understand the meaning behind the mage's question. "She was always scheming behind everyone's back and manipulated events into her advantage. That is who Gaia is unfortunately. Mind you when we tasked with that she was completely different."

Chaos looks at the portal where the three dragon slayers are. She also notices that the monsters are redeploying to their position. "Looks like the dragon slayers have company as monsters all over Magnolia are headed in their direction" she says. Makarov sighs but doesn't move as he states, "Erza and Mirajane are there. They can hold them off long enough for the three to defeat Atlas and bring back Macao and Percy. Pory, the boy will need a new eye." Porylusica nods and prepares her spell book. Order stops her saying "I believe that the Gods anchored to Percy have something up their sleeves. They seem to be joining the battle."

Magic Store.

Erza tries to wake Percy up but it's no use. After losing so much blood he passed out. Erza and Mirajane hear the sounds of monsters arriving at their position when suddenly a wall of flames appears in front of the monsters burning any that touch it. Stunned the two look at Percy whose hand was outstretched glowing with a golden aura. His remaining eye changed to a golden iris as he stood up and took his spot between the two. Erza, horrified at the sight of Percy's untreated injury as well as the possibility that he could be hurt even worse, yells at him "Percy please stay down we can take care of this." However the voice that responds is not that of the nine year old child but that of the Phoenix God, Ra "Do not concern yourself Erza Scarlet and Mirajane Strauss. Perseus is recovering deep in our shared mindscape. I have taken over his body by his request and will fight alongside you but first I must transform appropriately."

Ra then casts the Full Takeover spell with his own form in mind, a large magical circle materializing underneath him engulfing him in a golden light. All of a sudden a large golden humanoid bird erupts from the magical circle with golden wings attached to his back. In his hands the bird holds a fiery scepter as he swings it across (See the footnote for the link to said transformation). He stands in between the two ladies towering over the two. "Now ladies let us take care of this filth, we have our own score to settle with the Titan" Ra orders. The two female mages look at each other and nod before re-equipping and transforming into their Lightning Empress Armor and Satan Soul respectively.

Mira takes a jab at Erza, "Trying to impress Laxus now Erza?" Erza fires back "I could ask you the same thing with your bikini earlier. Considering however the amount of monsters we face, this feels appropriate." Ra then focuses his power through his scepter allowing it to blaze and charges forward, Erza and Mira not far behind as they turn the army of monsters into dusts.

Atlas is having a hard time dodging the three dragon slayers. Whenever he attempts to thrust, the iron one blocks it turning his arms into metal bars. The fire one keeps punching rapidly with fiery fists forcing him to back up. And the lightning one is much faster than any of the three with the power to boost. He curses the fact that his Titan form is unavailable to him as with it he could squash the fools. Suddenly the lighting slayer jumps into the air and delivers a powerful double handed axe handle with lightning to shock him.

Natsu and Gajeel see the opening as they formulate a tactic. Gajeel pulls one of his metal barred arms and yells "Salamander, I'll give you a boost finish him off." Natsu nods as he jumps up and lands his feet on the bar. Gajeel then extends the bar towards the Titan and when he gets close, Natsu jumps off with his fists on fire. Natsu brings his arms in as he spirals towards Atlas screaming, "DRAGON SLAYER SECRET ART! FLAME LOTUS EXPLODING FLAME BLADE!" releasing torrents of fire sending Atlas flying into the sky before landing behind the three, badly wounded yet still alive. The three look at each other and agree to stop. They can't kill him no matter how much they wanted to.

They headed back to where Macao, expecting to see Percy as well. What they saw mesmerized them. Mirajane in her Satan Soul was ripping monsters through her claws effortlessly, Erza had changed into her Heaven's Wheel Armor and took out monsters with such ease. And then there was the large humanoid bird swinging his scepter left and right, knocking back monsters as well as burning them. He then ordered the two female mages to back off as he charged up, creating a fiery sphere that kept getting larger and larger. Once fully charged the man yelled out loud "BLAZE CANNON FIRE!" The sphere erupted with such force that a massive burst of flames shot out from it destroying the remaining monsters instantly.

Natsu looks on in awe. That attack could rival Igneel's roar. The man turns away from the pile of dust, as well as a shocked group of mages that arrived in order to help them out before transforming back to Percy as he walked towards the downed Titan using the scepter to stay on his feet. No words were muttered as he made his way to him. "You threatened my family, insulted them, and tried to kidnap me. Moreover you took my eye. And so now I take what matters to you." Still holding the flaming scepter, Percy lowers the head and pushes it against Atlas's testicles, effectively setting them on fire. The Titan screams in agony as Percy walks away before collapsing. Just before Percy hit the ground, Gajeel catches the boy and carries him in his arms. The mages ignore Atlas's cries as they tend to their little brother. Atlas stands up gingerly and walks towards the group when all of a sudden chains emerge from the ground binding his limbs as an irate Chaos storms in front of him, her hair billowing and her eyes black as the void.

"You and Gaia have caused me enough trouble for today. You will be imprisoned but this time Gaia will not be using her little tricks." Order walks in front of the irate goddess and grabs the Titan. "I will return and see to his imprisonment. You have a lot to explain to them, especially the situation regarding the boy's return" he says a he grabs Atlas and teleports away. Sighing Chaos creates a portal back to the guildhall. "Come on we will talk when everyone returns" she says.

Fairy Tail Guildhall

Thankfully, due to Chaos's help, no one was injured too badly. A few minor scratches which was healed easily. The only one that was serious enough was Percy's eye. He was placed on a medical table where everyone gathered around worried about him. As Porylusica was about to begin the treatment, the boy's right shoulder glows brightly as Ra returns in his human form, surprising Chaos. Ra turns to the Primordial and bows. "Milady, it is an honor to meet you at last. Thank you for preserving our tablet for the past 200 years" he says as Chaos blushes in embarrassment. "No problem but since when have you three ever had human forms?" she asks. Ra smiles and answers "Two years while being anchored to Perseus without him realizing allowed us to study humans and change our appearances. After all do you think anyone here would trust us if we showed up in our gigantic forms claiming to protect the boy instead of saving him for lunch?"

The primordial laughs as do Makarov and a select few, but Erza steps up to the god and asks "Why are you here Ra? Not that we don't appreciate the help but you wouldn't just leave his body unless you wanted to tell us something." Ra smiles and walks towards the boy before pressing his left hand against the wounded eye. Suddenly the eye glows as markings appear on the left side of his face. The markings appear similar to the ones on Ra's right eye. Chaos gasps as she figured out what he did "You gave him your son's eye?" she asks in disbelief.

Ra nods as he removes his hand, shocking everyone in attendance. Laxus storms over to the Divine Being and grabs him by the collar. "What the hell did you do?" he asks angrily, forcing Mirajane and Freed to grab him, pulling him off of Ra, and calm him down. Ra nonchalantly stands up as he explains, "You are right to be upset. However, what I did was for the boy's benefit. Yes I gave him Horus's eye. The magic behind the eye will allow him to heal much faster and for a small amount of time he would be protected from any attacks. The procedure is painless I assure you. The eye will integrate with his nervous system and the markings will disappear. Besides he will need the extra protection anyway, isn't that right Milady?"

The mages turn to Chaos as she sighs. "I promised I would explain everything after the battle. Now is the time. First you should all know that Percy's mother is recovering faster than expected due to my granddaughter Hemera's treatment. We expect her to awaken soon. Once she is fully settled, I will have to return to this world as Percy is destined to return on December 13 of this year" she explains sending shockwaves through the surrounding members.

Another chapter down, and sorry for the cliffhanger. As for the transformation (Egyptian God Ra by AnimagusFursuits on furaffinity) I found this while searching for human forms to the Egyptian God Cards. I found one for Osiris and will use it later on and as for Obelisk it's easy. Also try to guess who Mystogan is referring to. I'm keeping it a secret until we reach a certain arc.

Next Time: Chaos explains what happened on that fateful day and exactly why Percy should return. Also a certain teasing battle leads to Ra revealing that Percy will have to take in at least three mates
