Chapter 26: Alliance vs Oracion
Natsu, Gray, Erza, Lucy, Ren, Eve, Hibiki, Lyon, and Sherry keep on running as they head to The Christina's landing zone. "That was quick work by the Maestro and Perseus. Thanks to their efforts, The Christina is safe. But that does pose the question. How did the Oracion Seis find out about our plans?" Hibiki ponders out loud.
Natsu growls as he runs harder "Who cares how they found out?! I'm not gonna let any of them get near Percy" he yells before stopping all of a sudden. Everyone stops alongside him as he sniffs the air before taking his stance. The Fairy Tail mages realize the enemy is getting close and get into their stances as well, confusing the rest of the group.
Impatient, Ren shouts out, "What are you four doing?" Lyon studies his fellow classmate's expression and also takes his stance. Realizing the situation the remaining members prepare for battle as the very group they had planned to take down appear right in front of them.
Brain studies the mages and chuckles. "It appears that we've been outnumbered. Whatever will we do?" he asked sarcastically. Cobra smiles as his pet Cubelious hisses at the gathered mages. Angel grabs Gemini's key while Racer gets into a running stance.
Hoteye grabs his book tightly to his chest as he mockingly asks "Are you waiting for an invitation?" Suddenly Natsu and Gray charge at the six as Natsu's hands ignite while Gray's hands freeze. Out of nowhere they are stopped as Racer speeds past both of them punching them both near simultaneously. Erza reequips into her Flight Armor as she attacks Cobra who effortlessly dodges her strikes.
Lyon creates a set of ice eagles at a sleeping Midnight but it doesn't work as the eagles hit a barrier of sorts. Sherry creates a massive rock doll to assist Lyon; however the ground underneath the doll softens forcing the doll to sink. Sherry looks on in shock as Hoteye laughs creepily yelling "GOTCHA OH YEAH!"
Brain watches on smiling as his group handles the rag tag group of wizards but pauses as he notices a few people missing. Specifically, the wizard whose water manipulation was rumored to be on par with that of God Serena, and the sky dragon slayer Wendy Marvel whose healing magic could cure any ailments. He surveys the battle hoping one of the two show up in order to defend their allies.
Erza changes into her Heaven's Wheel Armor and launches her swords towards Cobra who casually evades the blades as they all surround him baffling Erza as she tries to figure out how he was able to predict her movements to that level. Cobra just smiles as he hears the confusion in her head but as she changes back into her Flight Armor to charge him he hears her anguish over Rob's death in the Tower of Heaven. He backs off as he couldn't believe it, "You were there?!" he ask, not believing what he had just heard.
Erza attempts to take advantage of the confused state but Racer intercepts as he kicks Erza away. Cobra shakes his head clear and sends Cubelious to attack. The snake flies towards Erza and bites her arm as Erza screams in pain.
The Alliance stops as they hear Erza scream. Fairy Tail wizards move in to protect Erza but Angel's Gemini changes into the form of Gray and uses his patented Ice Geyser against them, sending them back. Wendy hiding behind a rock hears the scream and moves out of her hiding spot just enough for Brain to spot her before being pulled back.
Brain, having found his quarry, signals for to regroup as the opposing mages look defeated. They stand over their adversaries victorious for now as Brain smiles. "Well as much as we want to continue we have important business to deal with so we must go now. But before we do, I'm afraid that we must take Ms. Marvel with us" he states before using his Darkness Magic to send a dark green hand over the rock and grab Wendy. "WENDY!" Carla screams in horror as her charge gets caught by the dark green magical spiral. Happy takes the initiative and grabs onto Wendy's feet but unfortunately gets dragged along with Wendy as Brain brings the spiral back towards him. "HAPPY!" Natsu roars as he stands up trying to save his friend but is knocked out by Racer. "Too bad Pinky you weren't fast enough" Racer mocks as he runs back to his friends.
Brain then fires a blast that was sure to hit the group. Out of nowhere a watery fist intercepted the blast while a rock wall covered the mages. Brain turned to see an angry Percy waving his hand out on his left with Ichiya behind him while Jura stood tall on Brain's right with his hand out. "LET THEM GO!" Percy roars as he creates another watery fist and tries to hit Brain with it but Midnight shifts in front of Brain. Suddenly, the fist bounces off of an invisible wall shocking Percy. Weighing their options, the Oracion Seis leave in a cloud of dust while the three mages check on their companions.
Percy snarled as he kicked himself for not being there earlier. Taking in the situation surrounding him, he ran towards Erza, noticing the bite on her arm. "Erza your arm!" he mutters before Ichiya comes by with his pain relieving perfume. "Worry not young Perseus. A whiff of the pain relieving parfum will heal her wounds." Percy looked at the diminutive man skeptically but then turns around as sees everyone back up to normal. He nodded and let Ichiya release a large dose of the parfum aiming towards Erza. However, to everyone's shock, the parfum had no effect as the poison began to spread further. Erza bit her tongue to stay quiet not wanting to scare Percy but due to her pride, she refused to let herself be taken by poison. She moved to grab Lucy's belt but the poison had spread far too quickly and she fell down to the ground.
Percy, horrified, grabbed Erza's arm and studied the area that's been bitten. Percy closes his eyes as he ignores the argument between the Fairy Tail mages and Lyon while internally, he asked Ra for help but Ra shook his head "I'm sorry Perseus but we cannot reveal ourselves to anyone outside of the guild unless it's an emergency. However there is a chance we can prevent the spreading but we will need a true healer to eradicate the poison." Percy listened to Ra's suggestion and asked "Are you sure it will work? I mean I know there's a river nearby but what are the chances that could work?" Percy asked tentatively. Ra however countered with an ultimatum. "Well it's either that or Erza loses an arm. Your choice" he said shocking Percy.
Percy opened his eyes and saw Lyon raise a sword aiming towards Erza. Moving swiftly he pulled out his sword and stood in front of Lyon blocking the sword with his own. Lyon was so shocked that he dropped Erza's blade. Percy looks directly into Lyon's eyes "AT WHAT POINT IS MAIMING ERZA AN OPTION. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHOSE IDEA WAS IT." Percy then takes a breather before relaying his plan to his Fairy Tail friends hoping they would listen.
"Gray grab my left hand and freeze it. Natsu grabbed the bucket behind me and took it to a river near us to fill it up. Lucy, restrain Erza for me" Percy ordered the mages who stood there looking at him in shock. Percy turned around and yelled "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?" forcing everyone to move. Gray grabbed Percy's left hand and used his magic to incase it in ice. Natsu grabbed the bucket and used his nose to search for a river and bolted towards it. Lucy sat on top of Erza making sure she wouldn't move. Percy sheathed his sword keeping a close eye on Lyon who walked back to Jura still in shock over the boy's courage.
Natsu returned with a full bucket and placed it next to Percy. Once it was set, Percy shaped the ice encasing his hands into two small spikes and placed them over the bite area. He then lowered the spikes into the small holes while forcing his right hand into the water. Lyon watched in amazement as water flowed through the bucket across the arms of the child in front of him and into the bite holes through the ice. "What are you planning, boy?" Percy glared at Lyon before responding "I'm sealing the poison, keeping it from spreading. The water from the bucket will attach itself to the poisoned area and block it from the rest of her body. Any area that has been momentarily affected will be healed. Better than removing her arm for no reason" he smarmily replied. Percy then shook his head as he continues with a sad face, "However, I recommend an actual healer to fully cure her. The poison can only be held for so long and if we don't hurry up and find one Erza will not survive."
As Percy spoke, the poison stopped spreading and in fact it appeared to recede. However a small bump appeared in the area where Percy removed his now thawed hand. Hibiki however brought up a solid point as he angrily points out "In case you forgot, we're in a forest and the nearest city is quite a long way from here. How exactly do you plan on finding a healer out in the woods?"
"Wendy can heal her '' Carla spoke for the first time since Wendy had been taken. Everyone turned to her as she explained. "Wendy is the Sky Dragon Slayer. She specializes in support magic and amongst them is healing magic." Percy stood and walked towards the cat. "Then we find Wendy. The poison has been momentarily subdued but not for long we need to find Wendy and bring her back."
Hibiki used his Archive magic to map out the forest. "Well then we must split up in order to find her. Can we use The Christina Maestro?" Ichiya shook his head as he explained "Due to Angel's sabotage, the Christina is low on Magic Power. It will take some time for us to use it again."
Jura stood as he studied the situation and declared "Then we must search the forest for Wendy. But be warned, dark guilds have been sighted all over this area." Percy lifts his hands as two earthen fists appear above him. He balls up his right hand and slams it into the palm of his left hand, the earthen hands repeating the motion, as he swears, "No matter who comes our way we will prevail. And if there's one thing I learned from being a member of Fairy Tail, it's that we don't lose to the same person twice."
Natsu and Gray stood by Percy as Lucy stayed behind with Erza. Together, the three boys ran towards one section of the forest with Carla flying behind them with the intent to save Wendy and Happy from the Oracion Seis. Eve and Ren looked at each other and ran another direction while Ichiya returned to the Christina. Jura, Sherry, and Lyon left as well while Hibiki stayed behind tracking everyone hoping they find Wendy quickly.

Next Time: Percy, Natsu, and Gray fight off dark guilds as they approach the Oracion Seis' lair. Wendy however must make a tough decision regarding a person she thinks she recognizes as an old friend.
