"Sitting around, waiting to get kidnapped. This is the best day ever."
I yawn as I lay back on the grass, holding my phone up to my ear to try to look normal. I was currently sitting at Central Park in the darkest, scariest part. The goal was for Hydra to kidnap me. I don't think it's going to work. It's been three hours. If Maria doesn't call this off soon, I'm leaving.
"I swear to the God of Mischief himself that if I don't leave this park being kidnapped by Hydra, I'm going to kill you Maria. Feel free to pass that on to Nick too. You know, I had plans today. Very important plans. Plans to lay on my bed all day and watch movies. You know? Just some fun things like that. Oh, wait, you don't know what fun is, do you Maria?" I rant to Maria and whoever else may be listening in.
Maria sighs, "I know what fun is, Harley, I'm not Fury." I laugh, "Just wait a bit longer. If nothing happens soon, then we'll pull you out."
"Ok, but either way you owe me a coffee and a cupcake." I frown, looking around me not seeing anything out of the ordinary.
A quiet minute later, everything goes black.
I groan as I peel my eyes open. I'm sitting on the ground with my hands tied to a pole behind my back. The walls are bare, bars lining the cell that they had put me in. Hopefully this was Hydra this time.
I see three men outside the pen, two of them were probably guards while the older guy looked like he was in charge.
"Well this is a nice change of scenery." I say cheerfully.
The guy in charge looks confused, "It's a prison cell."
"I was being sarcastic." I reply, looking at my surroundings, seeing other cells around my own, "There's this amazing thing called sarcasm. Did you have friends before you got old? It doesn't seem like it. Obviously not if you don't even know what sarcasm is. Either you had no friends and your mommy was your only friend or you didn't have good friends." I look at the guard to the old guys left and whisper loudly, "I bet it's the first one."
None of the guys know how to respond, but I hear a snort from one of the guards. I also hear a groan from the cell next to me.
"You know, this is the third time I've gotten kidnapped this week! This is getting old." I laugh, looking towards the other cells across from me and to the right and left of me, trying to figure out which had people in them.
"Your name is Au-" the old guy starts.
"I prefer Harley actually."
The guy mutters under his breath before continuing, "It had come to our attention that SHIELD is interested in you. Why?"
"Why is SHIELD interested in me?" I ask, the guy nods. "Well, it all started when my mom met my dad-" I start, smirking.
"To the point."
"Oh, oopsie daisies." I laugh, "silly me, I thought that I was the one telling the story. Not you. Plus, you are the one who wants answers. I don't need to tell the horror story." I pause for a moment, "How'd you find me anyway?"
"This is Hydra, we have people everywhere." he answers, "Now back to my quest-"
"My mother told you, didn't she? Jeez, she always does this. I'm starting to think that maybe she's trying to get rid of me. Oh my gods, does she not love me anymore?" I start to panic, "I told her that it was an accident! I didn't mean to eat her candy bar! It was a snack-cident! I swear on all of my candy bars!" I start sobbing loudly.
The guys in front of me stare for a minute, watching to see if I was going to stop. I wasn't. They're still standing there a minute later so I start wailing every so often. And they finally leave, giving me weird looks as they leave.
And suddenly I'm left alone, just me and anyone in the other cells.
After a minute or so, when I know that they are truly gone. I begin to stop and look around the fake tears around me. I see two figures in each of the two cells to my left and in the one to my right. I also see two cells that are more reinforced than the other across me to the left. They each had two people inside. Then there are two more normal cells, one with two people, one with one person.
"Hi! Are you the Avengers?" I ask them, sniffling.
"Yeah, we are. Are you alright kid? We're going to get you out of here, don't worry." I hear a voice in one of the super cells, I guess that it's Captain America.
I completely stop the fake tears and look towards the voice, "Oh yeah! I'm completely fine. And actually, you aren't here to get me out." I pause and look around at them, recognizing their faces now that I can see them. "I'm here to get all of you out." I say enthusiastically, nodding my head."
I hear a snort to my left, two cells down. "And what are you supposed to do. You're what, five? Yeah, goodluck with that." Tony Stark laughs sarcastically.
"Well, I'm actually twenty-three. But you can think what you want. Maria and Nick sent me actually."
"Fury?" Natasha Romanoff asks to my right.
"You bet! Are we done with the questions yet? I would like to get out of here and to the coffee and cupcake that Maria owes me."
"How are you going to get us out of here?" Steve asks.
"Like this." I say, pulling my arms apart, breaking the handcuffs. I wince and rub my wrists before standing up. I walk to the cell door and open it.
"The idiots forgot to lock it. What, did they really think that I wasn't strong enough to get through some simple handcuffs. Assholes." I mutter, walking to Natasha's cell.
I quickly break down the door before walking in to help Natasha and who I assume is her sister, Yelena. I break their cuffs before walking to help everyone else. I found out that there were thirteen avengers locked in the cells. I hadn't been told how exactly they had been captured, but it must've been bad.
I found Natasha, Yelena, Steve, Bucky, Sam, Tony, Wanda, Clint, Kate, Peter, Bruce, Rhodey, and Scott. All of the missing avengers.
I finish helping everyone out of the normal cells before going to the reinforced cells. I spot Bucky, Steve, Peter, and Wanda inside. I look at the lock, trying to figure out if it was any differently built, or just built out of something stronger.
"Be careful, who knows what it could do to you or to them." Tony tells me.
I shrug and pull the door open. My super-strength really does come in handy sometimes. I was told that I was stronger that both the super soldiers, Spider-Man, and even the God of Thunder.
When I don't hear any alarms going off, I shrug again and walk in, again breaking their cuffs.
Once everyone is assembled outside the cells I walk towards what was the left of my cell. I look around before finding who I was looking for, "Hello! Would you be able to show us how to get out of here please? Preferably whatever way has the least amount of bad guys."
I see the Avengers giving each other confused looks, trying to figure out who I was talking to.
I get a confused look from the guy that I asked before he quietly asks, "You can see me?"
"Of course I can silly! Now would you be so kind as to help us? Pretty please?"
The man nodded his head confusedly, though he was happy. Nobody had been able to see him since he had died several years earlier.
Hello! Thank you for choosing to read my story! This is my first story that I have posted and there are probably typos. I will try to post at least once a week but I will probably forget sometimes. Sorry for any terrible writing and grammar. I will probably change the title and cover at some point when I have a better idea. Let me know if there is anything I should add to my story! Thank you!
