tting the ground Beelzemon found himself looking up at a confusing sight. A Digimon stood at the edge of the alley. The beast was that of a werewolf with brown fur. The creature wore camouflage pants. Growling the wolf fired a balls of bright blue flame.

Jumping aside Beelzemon dodged the attacks as they hit the ground each closer than the last. Before he could react the wolf pounced launching a strong kick Using his gun as a guard Beezlemon sent his opponent stumbling.

Rolling to his feet the wolf slashed at Beelzemon. As the monster jumped beelzemon launched a punch. As the fist made contact Nathan rounded the corner phone in hand a look of confidence in his features.

"Fist of The Beast King!" The pair announced in sync

A orange lion mouth sent the wolf rocketing into the paved earth a lion's roar could be heard. Standing in the crater the attack created the enemy flickered like tv static a sneer the wolf stumbled toward them. Falling to his knees the flickering becoming more erratic. Suddenly there was a black flash and he vanished from sight the crater the only sign there had been a fight. Turning Beelzemon gave his partner a firm pat on the shoulder. Chuckling he gave a salute before vanishing reappearing on the phone screen in an 8-bit style.

"Glad to see you're more hands-off partner." Beelzemon stated his voice coming from the phone

"I haven't even figured out what's going on so pardon me for being late," Nathan muttered

"You're pardoned, now you might wanna get on the move," Beelzemon stated with another laugh

From around the corner, the sound of footsteps could be heard. With no thought, Nathan turned to leave in the direction he had come from slipping his phone in his pocket. Truly he had become part of a very dangerous game that most believed was simply a schoolyard rumor. Would this game have a winner or could you even win this game?

As Nathan fled a strange figure watched from above. Looking down at their phone screen a feminine form in a leather jacket floated there. The feminine figure simply smiled as their master watched Nathan leave.

"What do you think Lily?" She asked

"Could be interesting." The punk digimon chuckled

Falling into bed Nathan sighed deeply through his nose. He was completely worn out his body aching from the neck down. What had he done to cause such a pain in his body? Slowly he turned his head watching as his demonic partner dropped into his desk chair. The monster seemed less sassy than normal examining his firearm. With a spin he reloads the weapon putting it back into its holster none too gently. Spinning he rested his head on the desk with a heavy thud.

"That could've gone better," Nathan mumbled

"No shit genius we almost died back there!"

Nathan went silent rolling away from him curling into himself. Beelzemon was right they had almost been killed back there thanks to his stupidity. A wild Skullgreymon had shown up and he felt they could fight the monstrous Digimon. Needless to say, the beast had simply knocked them into a building. If not for a BanchoLilymon and her partner the beast would have ended them right there. How had that fairy gotten so strong?

His thoughts were interrupted by a loud tapping on his window. At the sound, he jolted upright turning to the window staring in confusion. On his fire escape sat a girl a little older than himself looking in at him. Her sapphire eyes seemed to be studying him through her crimson locks. Her form was hidden beneath a heavy-looking military jacket that looked far to big for her. In her hand, she held a smartphone the screen glaring in the sun's light. Her mouth moved as if speaking but he couldn't make out the words before she vanished down the ladder.

Rubbing his eyes he stared where she once sat the spot empty. With a lazy groan, he plopped back on the bed unconcerned about his visitor. Were she a threat she would have attacked him in that moment. He should chase her to question her but his body wouldn't allow it. His spine clicking he stretched out on the worn-out bed his body grateful for the rest.

Below the fire escape, Nathan's visitor smiled into her phone screen. On the screen was the pixelated image of an BanchoLilymon bobbing in place. In a flash, the fairy was behind her placing a hand on her shoulder with a sly smile. Matching the fairy's grin the girl glanced at her over her shoulder. These were the two they had saved earlier she knew it.

"So was their lose a slip-up or are they just that weak?"The girl asked

"They were just unlucky I'd say there's power there just untapped." The floral stated

With a quiet hum, the girl started to walk away the punk digimon following her. They would keep an eye on these two just to see how strong they truly are. Perhaps these two could become a major player in this game they were involved in. As she left the area below his

window her phone went off with a quiet humming noise. Answering the phone silently she was met with the face of Mr. Knight with a small smile. The suited man tapped his fingers along his shadowed desk a rhythmic fashion. Leaning his shades down he looked straight at her with crystal blue eyes.

"So he survived his recent encounter?" Mr. Knight asked

"Barely I'd say luckily nothing seems broken." The girl muttered

"Good good here's hoping he recovers completely." Mr. Knight stated

With a mute press of a button, she ended the call putting the phone away. Placing a hand on her head she took a deep breath through her nose. This job was going to be the death of her between this random Digimon and Mr. Knight. That man treated hunting those monsters like a business not that she was complaining. The time would come to recruit him but once he'd become more used to his partner.
