Bouncing from the shiny glass Beelzemon grinned. His boot connecting with his target he chuckled. Using his foes as a cushion he hit the ground. Flipping off he launched the enemy back into the air. Sent spinning the Piedmon cackled with maniac glee.
"Oh hit me harder that feels wonderful." the clown giggled
"Gah ya made it weird!" Beezlemon gasped drawing his shotgun
Perching on a street lamp Piedmon let out a loud laugh. With a flick of his wrists, he tossed a flurry of playing cards. Swiftly the demon shot the cards from the air. Flicking his guns into the air he pulled his fist back.
"Fist of The Beast King!" He announced
With a lion's roar, his attack ripped through the air. The strike rammed into the clown slamming into him. On contact, Piedmont was turned to code. Raising his Digivice Nathan started to absorbed the jumbled code.
Before he could finish the process the code was stolen. Looking to his left he was met with a guy in a leather jacket His hair was in a well-maintained pompadour while shades hid his eyes. His digivice was metallic with a red around the screen.
"We wanna thank ya very much for doin' all the work here."
Stepping out from beside the biker came a MetalEtemon. The metallic monkey struck an Elvis-like pose with a stupid smile. With a friendly smile, the punk simply turned walking away. Once strange pair were out of earshot Nathan's phone rang. Reluctantly the tamer answered recognizing the number.
"What do you want Knight I did the job," Nathan muttered
"Easy kid I just wanted to warn you about a code thief who has been giving us trouble," Knight stated through the phone
"This is information I could have used earlier!" Nathan
"You met the guy the Elvis MetalEtemon didn't you?" Mr. Knight asked quietly
"Yep," Nathan said sadly
Sometime later Nathan stepped solemnly into his small apartment. Entering he was met with an out-of-place smell. His residence was filled with the scent of home cooking. Curiously he and his demonic companion took in their home. It looked different from how they left it.
The old furniture had been replaced and his TV was upgraded. The curtains were a different color along with the carpet and the kitchen tile. His kitchen table now sat four comfortably. All of his appliances had been modernized along with his sink.
"The organization thought it would be a good idea to lend you a hand."
Slowly the demon tamer turned at the strange voice. At the sight of a girl he jumped. He had seen her before he knew it but couldn't remember where. Behind him, his partner stood mouth hanging open like a trout.
"Lily Lily Bancholilymon," Beelzemon whispered softly
"Sweety closes your mouth you'll catch flies." The fairy chided chided
With a gentle push the fairy closed the demon's mouth. Giggling at his awkwardness she placed a hand on his cheek. Leaning into the touch demon smiled. Slowly the angel smiled at her partner pulling her hand away.
"Annie he's like a big kitten." The fairy whispered
Annie smiled slightly turning to the stove. A large skillet rested there with a meal inside. He could make out various pieces of chopped sausage and rice. At the sight of the meal, the pair couldn't help but drool.
"Lily why do I feel like we just became babysitters?" She asked
"Oh it won't be so bad," Angewomon whispered
Turning the angel Digimon held a stack of plates. Slowly the red-haired dished out the meal. Taking their plates the pair sat at the table. Blinking Beelzemon led Nathan to join them at the table. Slowly Nathan looked up at the other tamer.
"So um why are you in my apartment?" He asked
"Our apartment," Beezlemon said coughing into his fist
"Well, the organization has requested that we come and help you out," Annie said not looking up from her meal
"We were also asked to watch out for you," Lilymon mumbled picking at her food
The demon suddenly sprang up from his seat. Pointing at his partner he smiled like a sinister imp. With a laugh, he looked at the fairy. With a booming laugh, he spoke.
"I told you we were being watched and you said I was seeing things." The demon stated
"I was wrong it's not the first time not will it be the last," Nathan muttered sadly
"Eat your food before it gets cold," Lilymon remarked
"So what's the deal with this code we're collecting anyway?" Nathan asked
"You weren't told when you got your Digivice?" Annie asked finally looking up
"We weren't told anything other than we suck," Nathan admitted
Annie let out a quiet sigh setting down her fork. Deep in thought, she ran her hands through her hair. Smiling weakly she found the simplest way to explain it.
"Think of it as the game's version of EXP. The thing difference is you can steal it from someone else's kill." She said
"Oh, we know about that already," Beelzemon growled
"MetalEtemon dancing like Elvis?" The fairy inquired spinning her fork
"How many people have met this guy?" Nathan asked
Annie only shrugged unsure of an answer. Suddenly their Digivices began to beep. Spinning to the window a group of Kuwagamon flee by. The crimson insects looked like a red cloud as they filled the sky. With a grin, BanchoLilymon stood.
"Every played exterminator Monsieur demon?" The angel inquired
"Mademoiselle it's one of my favorite hobbies care to join me?" The demon asked with a grin
Sharing a grin the pair was out the open window. Stood on the fire escape they began to fire. With every shot fired one of the endless insects fell. From their vantage the tamers watched the bugs fall like rain.
"Maybe working with these two won't be so bad." Annie thought
