"What? No! That would be very ungentlemanly of Gonta! And Gonta is a gentleman!" Gonta exclaims to Niles. He was, however, glad that Kaito also said no to removing his shirt. Gonta glares a bit at Niles, a bit angry with the one eyed man and his non-gentlemanly behavior. He crosses his arms over his chest as that would prevent his shirt and jacket from being removed without his permission.
"Awe quit being such a pissbaby Gonta! We're all adults here!" Miu says, rolling her eyes.
"He shouldn't have to remove his shirt! And he's trying to prove that he's not a degenerate like the rest of the males here!" Tenko says.
"Oh shut your worthless trap Tenko!" Niles groans out. "If Gonta is the culprit, you'll be turning around and calling him a degenerate for murdering Kiibo!"
"Niles has a point~ Nishishishi~" Kokichi grins at Tenko who only fumes in response.
"Well, while we do need to see their arms and neither is comfortable with removing their shirts, I have a compromise - they take of the layers, leaving just their shirts and then roll up the sleeves," Kirumi suggests, remaining as calm and collected as ever.
"That's doable I suppose. Alright, I'll go first then! I have nothing to hide!" Kaito says. He first removes his blazer, draping it on the podium in front of him. Afterwards, he removes the dress shirt, draping it on top of his blazer. He then rolls up both sleeves. Maki and Rantaro lean in and peer at Kaito's biceps.
"No wound on this side," Maki says.
"Same here," Rantaro says. Kaito then pulls his dress shirt and blazer back on after rolling the sleeves of his t-shirt down.
"Now, was that so horrible Kaito?" Niles asks, his voice babying the Astronaut some.
"It wasn't as I didn't have to remove my shirt in an awkward situation," Kaito tsks in response.
"Well Gonta! Your turn! You only need to remove your jacket and roll your sleeves up!" Kaede says, keeping her voice soft and gentle. Gonta sighs a bit.
"Gonta will comply only because Kaito did and Kaede asked Gonta nicely," Gonta says before removing his jacket. Once he removes the jacket and goes to roll up his right sleeve first. However, before he could even unbutton the cuffs of his shirt, a gasp escapes Shuichi.
"...It's Gonta," Shuichi says, staring at the faintest sight of blood seeping through the cloth. Gonta freezes.
"It's not Gonta," Gonta denies. "Small cut is from sharp bug! That is all!"
"That seems like an awfully large amount of blood for a small cut though..." Tsumugi says, tilting her head. Niles chuckles darkly.
"Case is closed. You can put your jacket back on you lumbering buffoon!" Niles says, a cruel smirk splaying on his lips. It was show time~
"Gonta is not a lumbering buffoon!" Gonta says.
"I'm afraid that's not so! Only someone as stupid as you would think that Kiibo of all people would actually be the mastermind."
"Gonta did not believe that!"
"Clearly you did, otherwise you wouldn't have killed Kiibo! You also firmly believed it was me and Rantaro considering we have to explain the motive to you!"
"You and Rantaro are suspicious though!"
"Pea brain."
"Gonta not stupid!"
"Absolute moron~"
"Stop!"
"I think the only reason you're an entomologist is because you don't have a brain. It's just bugs~"
"Stop being mean to Gonta! He is not guilty!"
"Awe, are you getting angry~? With your inhuman strength that could crush a robot~?"
"Gonta is angry! But Gonta not murderer!"
"No thoughts! Just bugs!"
"Gonta. Did. Not. Do. It! You cannot prove Gonta did it!"
"Gonta is a big dumb dumb~ Shuichi dearest detective, mind laying it all out for us again?" Niles says, smirking widely at the raging Entomologist.
"R-Right!" Shuichi stutters before actually removing his hat. This was his time to shine and he needed to save everyone else! "So it started with the motive we all woke up to yesterday morning. The Mastermind sent us a message heavily implying Rantaro and Niles to be a Mastermind and helper duo, stating that if we murdered the helper, the murderer goes free and if we murdered the Mastermind, the game ends. During that morning, the majority of us had suspicions towards Rantaro, Niles, Kirumi, Kokichi, and unfortunately through Kokichi, Kiibo. The murderer probably wasn't thinking of murder then and there but the murderer definitely thought it was Rantaro and Niles as later that night, an attempt was made on the two.
"What the murderer did that day is unknown and all that can be said is that they were heard leaving their Research Lab when the nighttime announcement went off. They were heard by Tsumugi who was the last one that was spotted leaving the school building by Kirumi who had seen almost everyone else. Kirumi didn't see the murderer, Kiibo, Maki, Kokichi, Niles, Rantaro and Kaito leave. Additionally, Maki, Niles, Rantaro, and Kokichi didn't see Kiibo or the murderer leave the building when they all went to meet up at 11PM, an hour after the culprit left their Research Lab, signifying they were in the back half of the first floor most likely. About an hour later, an attempt was made on Niles and Rantaro.
"Niles moved himself and Rantaro out of the way of a shotput that would have certainly ended one of them. Niles shot the culprit with an arrow, giving away at least a male identity and the two gave chase. The two made it to the school entrance befoer losing the culprit. The culprit knew he had to get rid of the arrow and his now bloody shirt and started to make his way towards the bathroom when he came across Kiibo coming from the top of the stairs. Believing that Kiibo was potentially either the helper or the Mastermind, the culprit shoved Kiibo down the stairs. For good measure, the culprit then slammed his fist on top of Kiibo's head which was the killing blow. The culprit rips the bloodied arrow of his arm in an attempt to frame Niles as the murderer, only to leave a blood trial to the bathroom where his shirt would be found after a poor job of disposal.
"I hope this is enough proof for you! The only person capable of killing a robot with one blow, doing a horrible clean up job AND foolish enough to actually attempt to murderer someone without definitive proof that they are the Mastermind is you - Gonta Gokuhara!" Shuichi explains, an accusatory finger pointing at the Entomologist. Gonta's anger had subsided as Shuichi laid out the scene, looking down shamefully and guiltily.
"...Gonta did do it," Gonta confesses. "He may be dumb, but he is not complete idiot. Gonta only tried to help situation, tried to be gentleman."
"Well, you're not very gentlemanly for fucking up so horrendously!" Niles comments.
"Niles, can you not...?" Kaede asks, wincing a bit.
"Oh bite me Kaede," Niles responds, rolling his eye heavily.
"Gonta is sorry that he was not able to help everyone out of situation and wished he could have left with everyone here."
"Well Monokuma, it appears we have come to a conclusion. If you would please," Korekiyo says, looking to the black and white bear.
"Wonderful! It's Voting Time everyone! Please cast your votes by selecting the student that you think did it on the screen in front of you!" Monokuma says. After a few moments, all the votes were in and the slot machine animation on the small voting tablets appears. As the three wheels come to a stop, it shows three portraits of Gonta, and lights spelling out GUILTY! appear. "Ding ding ding! You're correct! K1-B0's killer is Gonta Gokuhara - the Ultimate Entomologist! And that means it's punishment time!" Monokuma announces as he brings out his mallet. The mallet slams down on a button, beginning Gonta' execution.
The big metal chain comes down and clamps around Gonta's neck, taking him out of the trial room, a few tears falling. The walls around the remaining 13 come to life, showing a town inspired by the Wild Wild West. Gonta is chained to a large wooden pole, his feet no where near the ground. Out steps Monokuma with a bandana around his neck and a cowboy hat on his head and he pulls out a Gatling pistol. Monokuma starts to fire and out comes a mechanical yellow jacket. The yellow jacket flies right at him, and stings him, causing a hive to appear on him. Monokuma then continues to shoot Gonta with with an absurd amount of yellow jackets, the clip never seeming to end. One of the houses starts to shake and the walls fall, revealing a very large, green mantis like bug. The mantis like bug starts flying at Gonta, murder clear in the bug's eyes and once it reaches the swollen face of the Entomologist, it skewers him with a large scythed hand, only for Monokuma to bring out a flamethrower, burning the two and ending the execution.
As the screens fade to black, not a single word was said as many faces are stricken with horror and despair. Niles had a faint look of disgust on his otherwise neutral face. He was more so focused on trying to see if he could figure out where the Mastermind was hiding. Unfortunately for him, the Mastermind was hiding their face among the horror and despair stricken faces. It was only a few moments later when Kaede looked down and started to cry silently that people seemed to unfreeze from their positions.
"L-Let's go.. We don't need to be here any longer," Kaede manages to stutter out.
"Agreed, this place brings nothin' but misfortune!" Kaito says.
"Once again, for those who would like tea, I will be more than happy to make tea for everyone," Kirumi offers softly.
"Tea sounds wonderful," Shuichi says, clenching the baseball cap in his hands. He doesn't put it on as he couldn't hide anymore, especially after why Gonta did what he did. Everyone then starts to head out of the trial room and back onto the now open elevator. On the ride up, Tenko and Tsumugi enter a comfort hug pile with Kaede, Himiko being dragged into it. The elevator was filled with a sorrow silence, but no tension. The ride up felt quicker than the ride down and the doors open up, the 13 remaining students walking out. Tenko, Tsumugi, Himiko, Kaede and Shuichi all follow Kirumi to the cafeteria for the soothing tea that the Maid offered. Miu went to her lab, Kaito to the casino, and Korekiyo to his room, leaving the late night squad alone.
"So what now?" Maki asks, looking at the three males with her.
"Well, it's not even midday yet, so today is just gonna be a keep to ourselves today," Rantaro says.
"I personally have some frustrations I wish to get out, so I'm going to go to my Research Lab," Niles says before starting to walk towards the school, making his way to his Research Lab. Rantaro follows Niles, Kokichi and Maki deciding to give the two space. Maki ended up going to her own Research Lab while Kokichi decides to just wander to the place.
Once arriving in his Research Lab, Niles pulls his bow out. He's aware of Rantaro entering the Lab as he nocks an arrow in his bow. He takes a deep breath and he starts firing off arrows, rapidly and accurately. Rantaro, leaning against the wall, watches as each arrow whistles through the air as Niles moves about, gracefully. The faint thunks echo throughout the lab as each arrow finds its target. Niles fires off his last arrow with a flip, the arrow still hitting it's mark. Rantaro's eyes widen as he watches that last attack and he feels his breath taken away.
"Wow..." Rantaro breathes out.
"Impressed?" Niles asks with a smirk, visibly looking more relaxed now. He puts the bow back on his back and approaches Rantaro.
"Yeah- Especially that last one," Rantaro answers, feeling his face heat up as Niles gets close. The smirk only widens, causing Niles to gently trap Rantaro against the wall.
"Well, I do like to impress... And to give a good show~" Niles says, tilting Rantaro's chin upwards. Rantaro felt his heartrate increase, but he doesn't move away as he knew that somehow, within eight days in this hellhole, he had fallen in love with Niles. Seeing Rantaro wasn't pulling away, Niles leans in and presses a kiss to Rantaro's lips.
