The smell of barbecue leaked in as the door swung inward. Swiveling in place Knight blinked at the sight of George. The restauranteur stood holding boxes of food. Wearing a relaxed smile he entered the workspace. On his hip rested his fossilized Digivice.

"I thought you'd be hungry," George said

"Thank the Lord I'm starving!" Knight yelled

In a cartoonish blur, Knight rolled across the room. Smiling George placed the box in his hands. With a maniac giggle, Knight rolled back to his desk.

"So how's the hunt going?" George asked

"Oh we found them yesterday," Knight mumbled between bites

George sighed at the sight of his former leader. The blonde sat digging into a rack of ribs like an animal. He acted like he hadn't eaten in days. He noted how tired the man looked frowning.

"Ed when was the last time you slept?" He asked softly

"What day is it?" Knight asked meekly

"Wednesday bud it's the seventeenth," George replied

"Four days ago," Knight admitted yawning

Quietly bar owner approached him. With a firm spin, Knight faced him. Taking off his sunglasses George frowned. Dark bags were strong under his eyes. Then he noticed the strong smell of coffee filling the room.

"Oh hey, George how goes it?"

From the other room came Julia. In her hands, she held matching mugs. She crossed the room placing a mug on Knight's desk. Turning away she snatched one of the boxes. With a smile, she slipped onto a nearby couch.

"Finally some real food!" She yelled

Then he saw boxes of cheap takeout. Laughing nervously Knight sipped from his mug. An annoyed look crossed George's face as he crossed his arms. He couldn't help but feel disappointed.

"You two have been living on coffee and takeout?!" He snapped

"Yup." The duo admitted in sync

Outside stood the newest fire and light tamers. The fire team stood stretching eyes locked on the light team with a flame of courage in their eyes. With a carefree smile, Flamemon rushed Starbimon. Rolled the wolf dodged his attack. With a mighty battle cry, Lucas rushed Issac.

"What are you doing?" Isaac Asked

Sidestepping, he dodged the flurry of punches. With a growl of frustration, he launched a quick jab. With an annoyed sigh, Issac swept his feet. With a flip, Lucas was on his feet. As he reeled back for another punch a roar echoed through the area.

The group turned to see a mechinedramon stumping through the street. The mechanical dragon growled turning in their direction. As it roared again the Digimon of light and fire began to digivolve. As the glow of digivolution faded the pair were in their champion form.

"Lobomon!"

"Agunimon!"

Looking down at them Mr. Knight smiled. As the pairs charged the machine Digimon he crumbled. This was what he was waiting for. Finally, their new team was ready. Now if only knew how to direct them.

"Eddy!"

From behind him, Julia rushed over. Catching him she looked out to see the fight. Dragging him to the couch she smiled. Outside the window, the elemental pair fought. She knew they simply needed a reason to digivolve.

"Good job kids." She whispered

Slowly she placed Knight down on the couch. Before she knew it he was out cold. Finally, he would get some much-needed sleep. A chaotic laugh was followed by a motorcycle revving up. Her eyes moved to a distant building. Riding across the building was beelzemon. Riding alongside him was BanchoLilymon. As the demon drove she fired his shotgun.

With a bounce, the bike hit the ground. As Beelzemon did a doughnut Nathan and Annie appeared. The pair rounded a nearby corner skidding to a stop. At the sight of Machinedramon Annie laughed.

"Can't say I've fought one of these before." Said grinning

"This is their fight not ours." Beelzebub remarked

Once the words left his mouth Beatlemon jumped from a nearby rooftop. With a superhero landing, he hit the machine with a Thunder Fist. The charge traveled through its body. It's the mechanical body locked up from the shock. Slowly Agunimon turned to Lobomon.

"Throw me." He said simply

"Better idea throw me." Lobomon replied

Grinning the flame Digimon grabbed his comrade. Spinning he launched him at their foe. Rushing through the air Lobomon activated his Lono Kendo. Time seemed to stop as he sliced Mechimedramon. As the wolf Digimon fell Beezlemon rushed over. Vaulting from his bike he caught him. As beezlemon touched the ground Lobomon returned to his Strabimom form.

"I got ya little brother," Beezlemon whispered
