Author's Note: I have a very bad habit of trying to add more things to the story and write long and dragged out dialouge that has nothing to do with the plot. I am slowly trying to break out of this habit and get straight to the point instead of dragging it on.
Alright. Some of you guys have gotten confused about Leeta and Lyco calling Lupe mom. I am 100% aware that they aren't her children in the Archie Sonic comics. I just wanted to change things up in this universe by making them her children. I know this isn't 100% faithful to all Sonic continuities, but I wanted to add my own flair and twists to certain Sonic characters and mythos. Kinda like what Bendis did with the Ultimate Marvel universe. Something that differs from the source material and doesn't stray too far from it. I know that this is a fanfiction and I shouldn't take any of it seriously when it comes to being faithful to the various canons, but I'm just having fun with it as I make up my own rules.
For Tails' parents, I left their identity ambiguous. You can have them to be Rosemary and Amadeus Prower or completley different characters from how you imagine them to look, it doesn't matter.
I never wanted to add OCs in this story, but it appears that I accidentally made some, Mina's group of friends. I just wanted to make Mina into this young teenage pop star who goes to school and is insanely popular as she has a group of friends who she surrounds herself all the time as she want some normalcy in her life. I guess I should describe them:
Katrina- Katrina is a slim and tall afghan hound with cream colored fur. She has long ears and long cream colored hair that stops at her shoulders. Her long ears have long fur on it which often gets confused for hair due to them both blending with each other and for it being arranged like pigtails. She has brown eyes and a snout that resembles that of a real Afghan Hound along with a black nose. When she opens her mouth, it looks more like a real dog opposed to an "Mobian" dog's, from black thin lips to the sharp canines and a long tongue. Her body proportions are more human-like as she has a slim and slender build and is 5'10 tall.
For attire Katrina wears a black collar with white spikes. She wears a black short sleeved shirt that shows a bit of her flat belly with a long-sleeved croptop with black stripes underneath. She wears a bracelet with white spikes and no gloves which shows off her sharp black painted fingernails (or claws?). She wears light green pants that resembles JNCOs that has cargo pockets that goes all the way down to her feet that lets her long furry tail stick out from behind. She wears checkered color Vans sneakers.
Yumi Ming- Yumi is a orange tiger girl with black stripes and long black hair that falls to her butt and bangs that falls over her forehead. She has yellow eyes, a white muzzle with a small pink nose. She wears a black hairband, a white long sleeved button up shirt with a black tie that has a cracked skull on it. She wears a black skirt with black mesh tights and black Revenge X Storm sneakers. Like Mina, she wears identical bracelets.
Yumi is from a small village in Yurashia that neighbors Chun-nan. She dreams of owning a herbal tea shop someday or something in that tune.
Bobbi- Bobbi is a short sheep girl with white wooly fur and light tan skin around her muzzle with a small black nose. She has large poofy hair that covers majority of her head and is stylized in a afro-esque hairstyle with two large afro puffs as pigtails at the bottom. For attire she wears huge round glasses that has a swirl pattern in the lenses, a large black poofy sweater that has a graphic of Tokyo on the front, a neutral Chao backpack that is almost as big as her, a black checkered skirt with black leggings underneath, and black and white Reebok Question Low sneakers.
She came from a town called Riverside. A town somewhere else on another continent. There are rumors that she is related to another sheep girl who goes by the name Lanolin. But that of course, is just a rumor.
Meek- Meek is a short mouse girl with grey fur and hot pink hair. She wears a collar similar to Mina's, a black Nirvana shirt with red baggy pants, and black and red Vans sneakers.
And also, for that one guy who wants Tails to have a harem. Naw bruh. How could he have a harem when he's 14 in this story?! That's some crazy fantasy you got, but aye, whatever floats your boat, dawg. As I've said before in prior chapters, there will NOT be any sex scenes, if the characters do SMASH! It will be off-screen LMAO!

Portal Gateway (Part 2)
-Welcome to the fanfiction world of Sonic the hedgehog. A world unique and far different from what you know from the SEGA games and official publications. Where our focus is on a two-tailed fox named Miles "Tails" Prower.-
"Miles?! MILES!" shouts the chipmunk as she taps his face, trying to get him to wake up. She looks over to Knuckles, teary eyed. "COME ON! LET'S TAKE HIM BACK TO HIS HOUSE!"
"Hold on..." says Knuckles as he places his hand on his back as he slides off his suv. He winces in pain as he limps over to the distraught chipmunk and the fainted fox. He scoops Tails from her and carries him, much to him being in pain. "C'mon. We gonna take him back to his crib."
As he limps and carries the kitsune, he looks to the others and motion them to follow him. "Hop on in y'all. We gotta T-Dawg back to his crib." he points to Julie-Su. "You gotta drive since I got ate up."
Julie-Su gives Knuckles a cocky smirk. "Aight. Bet."
Everyone gets in the big suv with their belongings and Julie-Su cranks up the vehicle as the engine sputters. The radio blasts a loud song called "MOLLY (BABY MAMA)" by Foogiano Knuckles is sitting in the passenger seat as he looks at his girlfriend in worry. He fears that she might crash the suv as he considers this raggedy vehicle his most prized possession next to the Master Emerald. She drives the vehicle to a small ramp that leads to the street. As she inches the vehicle forward, she stops and leans forward to look both ways.
The red echdina is shaking in fear as he tries to grab the steering wheel. "Aye now- careful!"
Julie-Su looks at Knuckles annoyed. "Boy I'se gots it." she says as she drives off.
In the backseat, Sally sat at the last row as Tails lied his head on her lap. She looks down at the kitsune as he was all hot and sweaty.
'Hang in there Miles.' she says as she rubs her thumb on his forehead.
They made it to Tails' house as the Tahoe parked in front of the residence. Knuckles looked back at Sally. "Aye yo Sally, shawty. See if you can wake him up right quick. Cuz I don't want his momma to have a fit and blame us for him getting tore up and all that stuff."
Sally looks down and shakes Tails gently. "Miles." no response, he was still out cold. "Miles wake up!" she taps his cheek lightly a few times. Still no response.
Bunnie looks at the poor kitsune. "Geez. This is worse than ah thought. That lil feller is out o'it."
Knuckles thinks as he rubs his chin. Then, a light bulb appeared over his head. "I got a idea!" he looks at Bunnie. "Aye. Lemme borrow yo hat right quick!"
"Here." Bunnie hands him her hat.
"Preciate it." he pulls out a red bandanna from the side of his door. "I got an idea." he looks at Sally as he smiles and his teeth gleams.
Everyone is out of the vehicle and they walk towards the house. Tails was now wearing Bunnie's cowboy hat, some shades, and a red bandanna that covered his mouth while Knuckles was behind him, holding him up and having him to pretend like he was walking. Chaos guided Knuckles to make sure not to step on the grass and the flowers.
"Easy... easy..." said Knuckles as he tried to keep his balance and walk Tails to the door.
Julie-Su, Bunnie, Tikal, and Sally were waiting at the porch.
"You really think his folks are gonna fall for this?" Julie-Su asks.
Knuckles was almost at the door as he continued to walk Tails. "Yeah, this plan of mines is flawless!" they almost make it to the front door. "A'ight. One of y'all ring that doorbell."
Tikal, who is closer to the doorbell turns around and rings it. A few seconds later Tails' mom opens the door.
"Oh! You all are back! How was it? Did you played any fun games at the arcade?" she asks the girls as she smiles at them.
Tikal's eyes looks away as she has one arm behind her as she rubs her other arm. "... Yeah... we had fun." she says as she looks away out of guilt.
Sally plays along. "Yeah. We did. Miles was nice enough to buy me an outfit."
Mrs. Prower notices Sally and her eyes gets bigger. "OH! You have gotten so big!" she holds both of Sally's hands as she looks her in the eye. "I haven't seen you in a long time! How are you and Alicia?" she asks while Knuckles could be seen walking Tails in the background while Chaos continues to guide him.
"Nice to see you too." Sally responds as the camera faces her and shows Knuckles goofing off by doing the tango with Tails and making Chaos panic as he tries to make Knuckles stay focused. "My mother is doing well. She's busy looking after my baby brother."
Mrs. Prower smiles at the news about her old friend. "Oh geez. I haven't talked to her in years. I didn't know that she and Max had another child. Congrats!"
"Yeah. He's quite a handful." says Sally while Knuckles and Chaos are seen fighting over Tails. "He's two and his name is Tuftee." Tikal and Julie-Su runs over to stop the fight and Julie-Su is seen scolding Knuckles and hitting him in the head a few times.
She smiles some more. "I bet he's a cutie. I bet he'll grow up to be handsome and beautiful just like you and Elias." she looks behind Sally and stops and look. "What is going on over there?"
Sally looks behind her and looks at Tails as he wears a cowboy hat and a bandanna as he leans against Knuckles. Sally looks at the mature vixen. "Oh... umm... he wanted to dress up like a cowboy, but he fell asleep and now we're trying to get him to walk." she sweats.
She looks at her son and his friends as they stop and stare at her, hoping to not get caught in the lie. She looks at the sweating chipmunk and smiles. "Wow. He must be so tired. Come on, let's get him in the house."
Sally sighs in relief as a white puff escapes her mouth, anime style.
-Later-
Knuckles, Chaos, and Tikal were in Tails' room. Tails lied in his bed while they tried to wake him up while, Sally, Bunnie, and Julie-Su were downstairs with Mrs. Prower as they talked about the return of Dr. Eggman.
"C'mon mon, wake up!" Knuckles shook him. Unfortunately it didn't work.
Chaos flicked some cold water from his hands on him to try to wake him up, but that also didn't worked. Chaos looks at them both and shrugged.
Knuckles punches the air. "Damn! He's out cold." he becomes frustrated. "You got any ideas lil shawty?" he looks over to Tikal.
Tikal stares hard at the kitsune. "I think this should work." she walks to the kitsune and places her hand on his forehead and she closes her eyes. "The servers are the seven Chaos..." a yellow light emits around her hand. "Chaos is vitality, enriched by health... The controller exists to heal the Chaos!" the yellow aura surrounds Tails as he regains consciousness. Tikal sees him waking up and stops. "I think he's waking up." she steps back.
"Ooooh..." Tails sits up and holds his head. He opens his eyes and sees Knuckles, Tikal, and Chaos standing around him. "What happened?" he asks.
Tikal is about to speak until Knuckles sticks his arm out in front of her.
"Don't worry lil shawty, I got this." he looks at his two-tailed friend. "Aight. So, we got out the mall, about to leave. Then that doll version of you pops out of your head along with some weird looking robot, then we fought it. Then Eggmon shows up and snatches those two and you passed out. We bring you back here, Tikal over her healed you, and here we are now, mon."
"So I passed out..." he thinks to himself. A thought crosses his mind. "Where's Sally and Bunnie?!" he asks and gets worried.
"Do not worry." Tikal says. "They are fine. They are with your mother downstairs. Do you want me to go get them?"
"Yes please." he nods.
Tikal heads downstairs to get them. Tails thinks to himself about his wound and Tails Doll and the robot that came out of his head.
"... I have to talk to my uncle after this."
Tikal brings in Sally and Bunnie to his room, but Julie-Su and Tails' mom comes in his room as well.
"MILES!" Sally runs and hugs him. "I'm so glad to see that you're awake!" she looks at him as she brush his bangs away with her thumb. "You okay?"
"I'm okay." he responds.
"Aww. How cute!" Mrs. Prower smiles at Tails and Sally. "Knuckles might be right, you probably do like Sally." she looks at the two as they look at each other and blush. "You two would make a cute couple."
Sally laughs as she gets up and steps away from Tails. "W-we're just friends." she fiddles with her hands and looks away as her face becomes red.
The yellow vixen smiles and reminisces. "I sure do remember those days when me and your dad met. He won me over with his fantastic Extreme Gear tricks." she sighs. "Those were the days..." she looks at her son who looks at her slightly embarrassed. "If it weren't for Extreme Gears you wouldn't even be here."
"Mom! Stop! You're embarrassing me!" he whines.
Bunnie giggles. "Say Mrs. Prower. Ya got the cutest son ah ever seen." she stares at Tails dreamily.
"Why thank you." she nods at the gold rabbit. She walks out the doorway. "Well, I'll be downstairs if any of you need me. Don't be afraid to eat some food. We have plenty." she walks away and her footsteps could be heard as she walks down the stairs.
"Say sugah, ya look like ah male version of yer ma. Ah see where ya get yer good looks from." she compliments.
"Thanks Bunnie..." Tails smiles as he looks down at his wrinkle comforter. He gets up out his bed and walks out his room. "I have to ask my uncle something."
"Uncle?" Everyone except Chaos said in unison.
Tails nods. "Yeah. I have an uncle who lives with us. He's a very private person though, and he barely leaves his room." Tails walks down the hallway as everyone follows.
"Shoot." says the red echidna. "I ain't even know that you had a uncle. Since when?"
Tails looks at the red echidna with a smile. "Always did." he turns to a door and knocks. "Uncle Merlin? Are you up?"
Tails and everyone behind him waited to see if his uncle would respond. For a few seconds nothing was heard until some footsteps and a cane thumping could be heard from behind the door.
-CREEEEEAK...-
The door slowly opens and everyone but Tails was in suspense at how his uncle looks. The door fully opens and the reactions of everyone's faces had a different reaction.
Tails' tails wags excitedly. "Uncle Merlin!"
Merlin is a elderly fox with blue eyes, brown fur, and a white muzzle with a black nose. He has white hair that is put in a ponytail along with a long white beard that stops at his chest. He wore a dingy grey shirt and green plaid pajama bottoms which his large bushy tail with a light brown tip stuck out of. He also walks with a wooden cane that has a small gem on the top of it.
Merlin is the brother of Tails' father and of course, Tails' uncle. Unlike his nephew, Merlin doesn't study technology or invent machines but instead, he studies magic and heavily believes in spirtuality. It's been something he's been doing and investing his whole life into. He spent his youth traveling around the world and learning new things about magic. Rumors are is that he had an encounter with a wizard, Ixis Naugus long ago. But again, that's just a rumor.
"How do you do, nep?" he bends down a bit and pats his nephew on the head. He looks and sees other people behind Tails and slowly stands straight up. "Are these your friends?"
"Yep! They are!"
Merlin looks at Knuckles and walks up to him as his cane taps on the wooden floor. He takes a good look at the echidna as he tugs lightly on his beard. "I can sense a strong presence of Chaos energy from you... You must be incredibly powerful young one."
Knuckles looks at the old kitsune with a smile. "That's cuz I'm the guardian of this thang, mon." he pulls out the Master Emerald and shows it to him.
Merlin's eyes gets bigger. "My word! That's the Master Emerald! That's what I've sensed from you. Then that must mean that you're the Guardian!"
"Fasho!" the red echidna points his thumb behind him. "And over here is my shawty, Julie-Su and the other shawty is Tikal. She came from the past tho' and I think she's a ghost or something."
Merlin notices the two female echidnas. "My... there are still echidnas around?" he pays close attention to Tikal as she looks at the elderly kitsune all nervous. He points the bottom of his cane at her. "I know who you are, Tikal. I've read many things about you." he senses a powerful aura within her. "... And you have quite the aura as well..."
"..." Tikal rubs her arm as she's looking away.
"You and the God of Destruction..." he looks at Chaos as Chaos becomes shock by how Merlin could easily see through his secret identity. "must've used the Master Emerald's power to remain immortal."
Tikal, still nervous looks at Merlin. "I am not sure if me and Chaos have became immortal with the Master Emerald's power or if time progress slowly in it's realm." she shrugs as she shakes her head. "I am afraid I cannot answer your question."
"I see..." he rubs his chin.
Julie-Su speaks up. "You just said that you had no idea that echidnas are still around. Are you saying that you know what happened to our kind?"
"I don't know much. But I do know some things from a friend of mines." he looks down at the floor as he tries to make sense at what he is about to say. "Though, she isn't physically here, I can still communicate with her thanks to my powers."
This catches everyone's attention as they look at Merlin, waiting to hear more from him.
"Powers?" Julie-Su wonders.
"Correct." he nods. "It may come to a shock, but I am a wizard."
Everyone gasps.
'Wizard?!' Tails thinks to himself. 'I never knew that my uncle is one. Growing up, I thought that he only specialized in herbs and other remedies.'
"My friend, Aurora was a female echidna. She taught me how to master my magical powers and I've learned quite a lot from her. But then, one day... years ago. An event happened. The descendants of the Knuckles tribe vanished."
"Oh mah stars!" Bunnie gasps.
"Just like the Nocturnus Clan, the descendants of the Great Fourth Civilization. But according to Aurora, the Nocturnus Clan were banished to a realm called the Twilight Cage due to a event called the "Argus Event". Unlike the Nocturnus Clan these descendants of the Knuckles Clan were never banished, they left on their own free will. To another realm."
Knuckles crosses his arms. "And they left me. Buncha assholes." he flexes his muscles. "They just knew that they couldn't handle me. I'm too good for this realm. And my flaming music."
Merlin looks at Knuckles and the two female echidnas with a serious look. "Hear this, coming from my friend, fellow echidnas. There was an elderly white echidna. His name, Dr. Zachary, was an inventor who had managed to discover another realm thanks to his genius abilities. He noticed how the world had treated echidnas since they blamed them for Chaos flooding the world thousands of years ago, so he wanted to take his race somewhere where they will no longer have to deal with extreme prejudice. So he proposed this plan to his lifelong friend and the echidna leader at the time, Locke about moving to this other realm. At first skeptical about it, Locke accepted his proposal and the idea that the echidnas probably will never be accepted by society. So the descendants of the Knuckles Clan, and other echidnas around the world got together and left to form a society in this other realm."
Julie-Su looks at Knuckles. "You hearing all this?"
Knuckles nod. "Yeah. This crazy shawty. None of them knew how to rap!"
Tikal feels guilty. "Maybe if I had stopped Chaos from flooding the world. Then maybe none of this would have happened..."
Julie-Su places a hand on Tikal's shoulder. "It's not your fault." she looks at Chaos. "Same with you."
Chaos blushes and rubs the back of his head.
"Aurora told me that this realm consists of nothing but a world that is filled with water and very few islands. The echidnas built a city and named it Albion. Albion was the most advanced city compared to the other cities, and used to be the capital of that world until years later Locke decided to move to a far bigger island that is the size of a small continent. Many of the residence at Albion, including Dr. Zachary refused to move and preferred to stay there since they argued that Albion is a historical landmark and should remain the capital. Locke and the echidna council argued with Zachary, severing his friendship with Locke. Locke and his followers left to the island and wanted this city to be more secure and fortified. They built a tall, thick, metal wall around this island for protection against this realm's beasts and Locke's paranoia where he felt that Zachary might try to invade his new home out of spite. They've built a big city and decided to name it Echidnaopolis."
"This is quite the history lesson here." says Sally.
"Echidnaopolis thrived and became that world's new capital with a population a 1 million echidnas. Meanwhile back in Albion Zachary and the other echidnas struggled. Poverty struck the city and it's population dwindled. Dr. Zachary eventually grew old and died, always having hope that he would patch things up with Locke. Unfortunately he died a sad and regretful man."
Bunnie gasps. "Oh mah lord..."
"How sad..." Sally places a hand over her mouth at the shocking revelation.
"His son, Dr. Finitevus, followed in his footsteps and tried to do all that he could to make Albion a better place. But unfortunately, his efforts were futile. Society treated him poorly and eventually ostracized him due to a symbol on his head and the markings as well. They beat him, tortured him, and even destroyed his and his father's inventions and notes. From all the torture and mistreatment, he eventually went mad and became a villain, something that society has always viewed him as. He eventually left and somehow manage to find his way inside Echidnaopolis. There, he met an echidna named Dimitri. Dimitri reminded him of his late father and viewed him as a father figure. Dimitri took Finitevus under his wing and mentored him. He taught him a lot of things, the history of the city, the culture, and even a secret. That secret is, that Echidnaopolis housed a gem quite similar to the Master Emerald. This gem, the Master Beryl is a violet gem that is native to that realm and holds immeasurable power."
"*Glows* Ha! Copycat!" glowed the M.E in Knuckles' back pocket.
Merlin was aware of the Master Emerald's talking, but chose to ignore it to continue telling the story. "They made a plan to gain access to this gem. Dimitri hated the way Locke led the city and it's people. He felt that he could do better. So his goal was to dethrone Locke, take his place as ruler of the city, and to strip the echidna council of their power so that they were unable to do anything to him. Finitevus owed a lot to Dimitri and wanted to repay him for all that he has done, so they planned a heist. One day, Dimitri had a one-on-one meeting with Locke about his leadership skills, and wanted to propose an election to the council. Locke strongly disagreed so Dimitri took it to the councilmen where they disagreed as well and that was the end of that. During their meeting, Finitevus used his inventions and Chaos Powers to make his way to the chamber that housed the Master Beryl. He managed to take it and eventually study it and how it works. The next day a guard noticed that the Master Beryl was missing and alerted Locke. Locke then issued a city-wide search for the missing gem."
Knuckles is about to doze off. "A'ight now. This is getting kind of boring. Can you get to the good part?" Julie-Su hits him on his arm. "Ow!" he shouts in pain.
"Very well then. "As Finitevus studied the gem, he noticed that if anyone could tap into it's power, then they'll be able to become powerful. Finitevus tells Dimitri about this, Dimitri wants that gem's power. So Finitevus does a spell and siphons the gems power out of it and into Dimitri. Dimitri transforms, now clad in a blue and gold outfit that resembled an Egyptian Pharaoh. He wore a chestplate, a blue skirt, gold adornments on his arms and legs with a little clothing in between, and boots with rounded gold toes. The top half of his face covered by a gold mask with a red gem on it's forehead as his long locs hang out in the back. He wielded a staff and held immeasurable power, a power that is capable of destroying the very fabric of that realm... and even the universe. He transformed into an ancient echidna deity, Enerjak."
"WHAAA?!" everyone shouts in unison.
"Like the name of the new sports drink?" Julie-Su asks.
"Dimitri teleported straight to Locke in his palace and ordered him to resign since he felt like he was on top of the world. Locke refused and revealed to Dimitri that he could also transform, but without the power of the Master Beryl.
"This is some Dragon Ball Z shit right here." Knuckles remarks.
"Locke transforms into Enerjak with a outfit similar to Dimitri's and revealed to him the reason he can transform at will. It is because since he was the Guardian of it for years, he managed to connect with it and tap into it's power during his guardianship. A few words were exchanged and a battle ensued between the two echidnas. Destruction took place and many homes and lives were lost unfortunately. A power struggle happened between the two and Dimitri manged to win and defeat Locke, managing to overthrow him, destroy the councilmen, and banish Locke and his followers out of the city. After some time, Dimitri's Enerjak powers dwindled and took a massive toll on his body. He nearly lost his life, but thanks to Finitevus' genius, he saved his life by connecting tubes to his body and the cords extended around the palace. But that wasn't enough, as Dimitri's body shut down and he once again nearly died. But Finitevus hadn't gave up on his mentor yet. With his magic and inventing skills, he managed to turn Dimitri's head mechanical and place it inside a glass ball that is able to float around while his body is in a cryo-tube somewhere in his lab. It is revealed that he has plans to bring Dimitri back to flesh and bones once he finish studying what he needs to in order to do that. Eventually, Echidnaopolis rebuild and thrived once again. Finitevus learned that Dimitri has a grand-daughter named Lien-Da and became romantically involved with her. Together they caused terror to the neighboring islands and the other echidna civilizations, trying to expand Dimitri's reign of terror. Finitevus started with his home, Albion by getting revenge on those who wronged him. He sent out a fleet of airships to bomb the city, leaving it war-torn and the inhabitants in an even worse situation than before."
Tails looks in disbelief as Sally, Bunnie, and Tikal have tears coming out of their eyes.
"Locke and the other exiled echidnas made a home in a desert island and developed a city there. He rules over that city and is prepared if Dimitri or anyone else dare to start things. Locke, to this day still feels guilty about getting people killed during his fight with Dimitri." Merlin sighs as a puff cloud escapes his mouth. He looks at the red echidna. "That is all that she has told me. There is a way there if you ever want to visit. Just let me know and I will be glad to guide you."
Julie-Su looks at her boyfriend. "Are you hearing all of this Knux?"
"Yeah I do, shawty." he looks at Merlin. "Aye, I don't know what weed you was smoking but Imma need to have some of that." he holds his hand out at the elderly kitsune.
Merlin moves his hand away with his cane. "Listen. I have no clue what twigs you've been chewing on, but I thought that it would be appropriate to tell you this if I ever came across an echidna, let alone a Guardian. It was my friend's last wish." he looks into Knuckles' purple eyes. "If you ever want to go there with your kind, then kindly let me know."
Knuckles looks at Merlin in the eye all tense while Merlin looks at him all calm. Knuckles really do want to go and find his kind and know more about them as well. He always did wondered why he was left on Angel Island with the duty to protect the Master Emerald.
"Knuckles..." Julie-Su touches Knuckles on his shoulder.
"I need to think about this shawty..." he walks away as he tries to process all that Merlin has told him. The pink echidna follows behind him. Merlin looks at the two echidnas walk into his nephew's room.
Tikal stands there and ponders about the echidnas and the other realm. "Chaos..." she looks up at her aquatic companion. "If I ever go there. Promise me that you will come with me."
Chaos nods and gives her a thumbs up.
Bunnie wonders. "Ah did heard of other zones like the Special Zones. But ah never knew there was ah such thang as realms. Ah thought those were only in fiction."
The yellow kitsune looks down to think while rubbing his chin. "Hmm... I don't think so. There is a such thing as realms. The Special Zones are dimensions outside of our world while realms are smaller dimensions, pocket dimensions to be exact."
Sally, Bunnie, Tikal, and Chaos looks at the fox curiously as they listen to his explanation.
"Another dimension that me, Sonic, Amy, and Knuckles were teleported to was called Maginary World. It happened between the Chaos Incident and the Biolizard Incident. If I recall I even think that Big, Gamma, and a few Chao were there as well." he looks up to remember. "Anyways, yeah. Realms are real, they're just pocket dimensions." Tails thinks to himself. 'Speaking of maginary World, perhaps I should ask my uncle if there is anyway to speak to Illumina about these odd dreams I've been having...'
Bunnie squats down and pinches the yellow kitsune's cheeks. "Oh my, you are ah genius sugah. Ya didn' had ta explain that to lil ol' me."
Merlin rubs his nephew's head. "Why yes. That is correct my nephew. Only someone intellegent could explain it so well." he looks up to see Sally and recognizes her. "Oh. You're Alicia's daughter!" he walks up and gives her a hug.
Sally blinks twice as she wraps her arms around him. "Oh... do I um... know you?"
Merlin breaks the hug and looks at her in her face. "You look so much like her. You really are her twin."
"Thanks?" she looks at Tails' uncle out of confusion. "Do I even know you? I know that you're Miles' uncle and all..."
"Oh! How rude of me." he smacks himself on his forehead. "To answer your question. Me and your mother go way back during our youth."
"Oh?" Sally says.
Merlin turns away from her and closes his eyes while rubbing his nose with his thumb. "We even dated around back in the day."
Sally eyes gets big and white, anime style. "WHAAAAAT?!" her jaw drops to the floor, also anime style.
"Whoa now." Bunnie interjects. "You use to date ol' Sally-girl's mama?!"
Tails wonders. 'Maybe I got the whole liking Sally thing from my uncle.'
Merlin nods. "Yep. We dated for a few years." Merlin looks up at the ceiling smiling, as if he's reminiscing something. "We were even each other's first time..."
Tails facepalms out of embarrassment. "Uncle!" Bunnie giggles at Tails' reaction while Sally's face temporarily turns green as she covers her mouth trying not to throw up her dinner.
"But unfortunately we drifted apart due to my journey of studying magic and her acting and modeling career..." he rubs his beard as he thinks of a alternate timeline where they managed to stay together. "If only... Maybe we would've had nice chipmunk/fox hybrid kids. Ah well. It might've never meant to be..." he looks at Sally once again. "But I digress. How is she?"
Sally is still taken aback by Merlin's story responds. "Oh. Well nowadays she's just running her own cosmetic line and just spending time with me and my siblings."
"That's good to hear." he pulls on his beard. He looks at Sally's blue eyes and stares at them for a while, making Sally feel uncomfortable. "Hmm... you do have her eyes. But I am sensing something inside of you. A fiery feeling..." he stares a few more seconds and closes his eyes. "Who knows. I might be seeing things. I am getting old after all." he walks to his nephew.
"Uncle Merlin. There's something I need to tell you." says Tails.
"Hmm?" Merlin's interest gets piqued as he stares at his nephew. He looks up at Tails' forehead, sensing an odd energy from it.
-Mobotropolis Downtown; Gigglymen Records-
A tall building, 16 stories high is a record label. This is the place where all the young rising stars go to record their music. The label is owned by an mysterious person (or mysterious people) who goes by the name Dr. Gigglymen. No one has ever seen them in person, only through email and letters. It comes off as shady, but Dr. Gigglymen is a legit entrepreneur who is known for working with superstars in the past. Gigglymen Records is the label you want to work with and be signed to, since nearly all of it's artists ends up making big bank over at Studiopolis.
In a recording room, Mina and her friends were goofing around as they were doing a karaoke to "Wannabe" by Spice Girls when Mina is supposed to be recording music for her new album.
"Yo, I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want!" sings Mina as she steps closer to Katrina with a bright smile.
"So tell me what you want, what you really, really want!" sings Katrina as she also steps closer to Mina while also smiling.
"I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want!" Mina's face gets closer to Katrina's.
"So tell me what you want, what you really, really want!" Katrina's snout boops Mina's small black nose.
Mina sings the next bar while Katrina sings the "Hey!" part as they both dance. "I wanna (Hey!), I wanna (Hey!), I wanna (Hey!), I wanna (Hey!)-"
Katrina looks at you viewers with the microphone. "I wanna really, really, really wanna "zig-a-zig", ah."
The scene focuses on Mina as she sings as if she's performing on a stage.
"If you want my future, forget my past." she swishes her long lilac hair. "If you wanna get with me, better make it fast." she turns around with her back turned as she takes a few steps. "Now don't go wasting my precious time." she turns around as she gives her friends a fierce and confident look. "Get your act together, we could be just fine." she walks back up to Katrina as they continue the karaoke. This time with a more confident look, because the more she sings and get into the music, the more confident she becomes as she breaks out of her shy shell, just like when she performs in front of millions at her concerts.
"I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want!" Mina fiercely and confidently looks Katrina in her brown eyes.
Katrina steps closer to Mina, once again booping her nose against her's as she also gives her a fierce confident look. "So tell me what you want, what you really, really want!"
"I wanna (Hey!), I wanna (Hey!), I wanna (Hey!), I wanna (Hey!)-" Bobbi breakdances in the background and does a double backer-flip.
Katrina once again looks at you viewers. "I wanna really, really, really wanna "zig-a-zig", ah." she winks.
Now, Mina and all her friends all have microphones and are singing in unison. "If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends!"
"(Gotta get with my friends!)" sang Meek.
"Make it last forever, friendship never ends!" they all hug each other as they continue singing. They started to rock each other in a group as they got more into the karaoke. "If you wanna be my lover, you have got to give! Taking is too easy, but that's the way it is!"
Down the hallway, Yumi was leaning against the wall while on her phone. She was on the lookout for Mina's mother, Isabella so that Mina and her friends wouldn't get caught goofing off. Heels clicking on the floor could be heard, Yumi looks down at the long hallway and sees the older mongoose lady.
'Uh-oh. Looks like she's going to check on Mina and the others!' she looks down at her phone. 'Better warn them.' she types on her phone and sends the text to Mina.
As the older mongoose lady walks by, she notices Yumi. "Yumi. Why are you in the hall? Is something the matter?"
Yumi looks up at Isabella. "Hmm? Oh. It's nothing. I'm just taking a little break. Y'know I had to call my yeye on the phone."
"Oh well." Isabella continues walking. "Well, come back in when you're done." her heels could be heard clicking once again.
Yumi looks at the mature mongoose lady walks further down the hall as Yumi sweats. 'Please don't caught, girls...' she gulps.
Back in the studio room, Mina and her friends are still doing the karaoke. "If you wanna be my lover!" they all sang in unison.
Katrina sings. "(You gotta, you gotta, you gotta, you gotta, you gotta slam!)"
"Make it last forever!" they all spin around together as Katrina's microphone echoed the word "Slam". "Slam your body down and wind it all around, slam your body and wind it all around!" they felt so much joy singing together.
"(Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!)" Katrina sang in the background.
Katrina and the others all held heads and spun around doing the "Ring Around The Rosie" around Mina. "Slam your body down and wind it all around!"
A fisheye lens camera zooms in on Mina as she looks at it. "Slam you body down and "zig-a-zig", ah..." she winks at the camera and it turns upwards at the ceiling.
The outro of the bass guitar plays as Mina and her friends all have their backs turnt away from you viewers. They then look back as they sing the last line together. "If you wanna be my lover!" then they wink.
The doorknob turns and the door opens as Isabella comes in the room.
Mina looks. "Oh hey mom!" she waves from inside the recording booth with headphones on.
Isabella looks around and sees Katrina sitting on a chair as she's mixing around with the studio equipment.
"Care for some water?" asks Bobbi as she offers Isabella a glass of water.
"No thank you." she looks at her daughter. "How far are you?"
Katrina looks back at the mature mongoose. "We're like- totally having a little technical issues. But I'll totally have it fixed up in no time!" she gives her a thumbs up.
"Fine. Keep up the good work." she walks out the doorway and is about to close the door. But before she closes it completely, she looks at Mina. "And Mina?"
"Yes mom?"
"No monkey business." she closes the door.
A few seconds later Yumi comes in. "Did you guys get caught?"
Mina gives Yumi the "ok" symbol with a wink. "Nah. But that was close. Thanks Yumi."
Then, the broadcast of Eggman plays on their phones and Mina and her friends watch in shock and horror.
-Central City; G.U.N. Headquarters-
In a lab at G.U.N. Headquarters, a short, bald man was seen with a taller woman. It appeared that they were working on something.
The short bald man had a long pointy nose, with a long reddish-brown beard. For attire he wore a red eyepiece and a white G.U.N. lab coat with a green shirt underneath. This man is Julian Snively, the man who worked for Eggman years back and claimed to be a spy. After betraying Eggman, he managed to fall back into G.U.N.'s good graces and got his position back as a scientist.
The taller woman has pale skin, gold eyes and long, dark green hair that falls past her waist. She wears a red eyepiece, a white G.U.N. lab coat that is buttoned up. For makeup she wears red eyeshadow and green lipstick. Her name is Regina Ferrum.
They both were experimenting with their invention, which is a chrome ring as they try to replicate "Magitek". A mystical art of controlling electrical impulses and electronic signals and is also a corruption of another mystical art, called Ixis Magicks, magical techniques that were used by legendary wizard twins, Wendy and Walter Naugus.
Regina has her eyes closed as she holds her hand out as white-silverish electrical symbols floats around her hands as she tries to concentrate. How she is doing this is because she is wearing a ring that her and Snively recently invented. This ring, called the "Voltaic Ring". A ring that is capable of the user(s) manipulating electricity. If skilled, the user(s) could manipulate it enough for it to manifest into Magitek, something that both Snively and Regina were trying to do.
The electric symbols were getting wavy and were fizzling out. Regina's eyes closes tighter as she struggles to maintain concentration. "C'mon c'mon..." she says as she tries to concentrate.
Snively comes behind her and has one hand on her back and another on her arm. "Concentrate Regina. You're nearly there." he turns his head to look up at a Mono Beetle as it projected a hologram screen as it was scanning Regina's progress. It read 97% and they were nearly done with their research until...
A broadcast of Eggman shows up on the Mono Beetle's hologram screen. "Oh ho ho ho ho! Citizens of Mobotropolis. It is I, Dr. Ivo Robotnik, but you all may know me as Eggman."
Snively recognizes that voice and looks at the broadcast as his eyes trembles in fear. "No..." Snively slams his fist on the desk. "NO! NO! NO!" he shakes his head. "HOW COULD HE STILL BE ALIVE?!"
"Huh?!" Regina snaps out of her concentration as the Magitek fades away. She looks to Snively. "What's wrong Julian?" she looks to him. He is seen on the floor as he shakes in fear and points at the hologram screen from above. She looks and her eyes gets bigger. "How...?"
They sit through and watch the whole broadcast. Minutes later, the broadcast is over and the Mono Beetle's screen returns to normal. The two scientists look at each other as their mouths are wide open in disbelief.
Regina slides down the desk and buried her face in her hands. "Oh God... once we thought that he was gone for good. Here he comes." she looks at Snively. "Another problem that G.U.N. has to deal with..."
The beak nosed scientist thinks to himself. 'This fat egghead just had to return! He's most likely going to come after me. Great! Another obstacle for me to-'
The Mono Beetle's screen changes to a video call of the a middle aged man with white hair. "Dr. Snively and Dr. Ferrum. Report to my office! This is urgent!" the screen shuts off.
Both scientists walks out of the lab and is walking down the halls.
"Oh great." Snively sighs. "We probably have to shelve that "Magitek Project" if Commander Tower wants us to invent new weaponry."
-Back To Tails...-
Tails explained everything to his uncle. "And that's what happened." Tails looks down and shakes his head. "I just don't know what to do..."
Merlin holds his hand in front of the yellow kitsune's forehead as a light green aura surrounds it.
"Hmm..." Merlin concentrates deeply. He then stops and places his hand down. "Something tells me that something got inside of your forehead. But I don't know for sure. I will have to read up on that."
"Aw man..." Tails' tails droops low at the bad news.
Right on time, Knuckles and Julie-Su walks out of Tails' room and to the elderly kitsune.
Merlin looks up. "Oh, so have you decided?"
Knuckles smiles. "Yeah mon. I've decided." he brings his fist up in determination while Julie-Su looks at Knuckles, smiling. "That we AIN'T going!"
Julie-Su looks in shock. "WHAT?! WHY?!" she looks with a mixture of sadness, disappointment, and anger. "This could be the chance for us to see our family!"
Knuckles looks at her as he grabs her. "I know shawty. But... I would've accepted, but Eggman's back and I want to make sure that he's defeated once and for all. Then we can go."
Julie-Su looks down and sighs as she tries to hold back the tears of disappointment. "*Sighs* Ok. I'll give you that." she then looks up at him sternly. "But you better keep your word. Because I wanna see who my family is and get to be reunited with them. You got that?" she brings her face closer to his as she points her finger to his face.
"Fasho!" Knuckles salutes.
Merlin closes his eyes as he smiles at the couple's bickering. "Very well then. Let me know anytime, and I will guide you there." he turns around as he heads back to his room. "You think you can live long enough for me to complete my research about your wound, nephew?" he asks his nephew.
"I guess..." Tails shrugs.
Merlin smiles. "Stay strong, nephew. Good night to you and your friends. And be careful about your egghead nemesis." he closes the door.
Tails turns around to his group of friends as he shakes his head. "Well. That's that." he shrugs. "Looks like we have to wait."
Sally looks to the yellow kitsune. "Hey now. Your uncle said that he's going to research more about your wound." she raises her index finger with a smile. "So that's a start."
"And ya feelin' all better now that them thangs ain't poppin' outta yer lil' head." says Bunnie as she pinches his cheeks.
Tikal smiles at the kitsune. "Also, if you do have anymore weird monsters coming out of your head, Chaos will be here to stop them." she says as Chaos stands behind her beating on his chest like he's a gorilla.
Knuckles steps up as he beats his fist. "And you got me, mon."
"Don't give up Tails. You've made it this far, so you fasho can make it further." encouraged Julie-Su.
Tails, as he is still looking down, looks up as he smiles. "Yeah! You're right!"

Author's Note (Pt 2): Yeah, I know, barely any action or anything happened in this episode. But I'll make it up for the next one! I'm trying to get the right "OOMPH!" for this story as I establish more things about this story's world. The echidna thing is something I really want to get into and is a future storyline that I want to write. But unfortunately we won't be seeing much of that until around the end of season 2 or so. When writing about it, I just made up things as I've went along, just winging it y'know? Hopefully this story will go on long enough for that to come into fruition if I don't abandon this or if life gets in the way. But, I hope you enjoyed this dialogue-heavy chapter.
