Blue Bloods - Episode 12 -7 Danny and Maria
Three weeks have past since Danny and Maria returned from their honeymoon. New York City has returned to the high crime due to the Mayor and city council's missed guided approach for appeasement and not punishing criminals.
This becomes the topic of conversation at the Reagan Sunday dinner which Maria has promised to prepare.
Maria: I hope you like Mexican food…. I've prepared a little variety…first up are the chips and choice of Salsa, mild and hot, also some mild/spicey bean dip. I've also made some Tortilla soup with shredded chicken.
Danny loves the Mexican Salad with the Machaca ground beef….. The other dishes are Quesadilla's with shrimp and Mango salsa….. Cheese Enchilada's, Chimichangas stuffed with Chicken and the Sizzling platter is Beef Fajita's with warm Tortilla's
Frank: Maria …. Everything looks fabulous….. looks like Danny is being well fed

As everyone continues to enjoy their meal the conversation turns to the crime wave
Danny: What has gotten into this crazy major…. With this nonsense ….. how are we to do our job if they release as soon as we cuff em
Jamie: the beat cops are just turning their heads…. It's really getting bad
Henry: In my day this would never been tolerated… Francis … how does this so call major justify this
Frank: City council seems to be pushing it so he goes along to get along…. He has become a typical major, puts his finger to the wind and finds his new direction
Erin: for once I'm in agreement…. Our hands are tied….. real criminals are laughing at us

Frank: Do your job the best you know how….. keep arresting them….. if we all throw up our hands this city will turn into complete chaos

Maria: That frightens me now…. I want all of us to come home to each other each night… they dare us to be ruff on them so they can retaliate suing the city or open violence on cops

This has been a Sunday Dinner where the Reagans where in complete agreement….. something extraordinary needs to be done to help save the city they love. After everyone leaves Frank and Henry have their night cap and Father and Son have a discussion
Henry: Francis you know what the kids where telling us

Henry: Can it be any worse than it is ….. when the inmates are running the asylum….. In my day a few cracked heads would get their attention… you've been forced to walk a tightrope…. But you've managed to survive many of these foolish mayors that get elected on whims. How do these City Council members ever get elected
Frank: Pop…. They play on peoples fears ….. there're days I want to throw in the towel and enjoy the family especially the grandkids here and those that are on their way

As was the case with Jamie and Eddie …..NYPD doesn't allow husband and wife to partner together…. Maria's new partner is Silvie Delgado and Danny's New partner is Doug McKenzie the detective that Frank talked back into coming back to the force last year

As Gino leaves Sid and Garret come into Frank's office
Garrett: He walked out of here smiling… the mayor's office has been calling all day wanting to know if these killings will cause more police to retaliate

Garrett: The Union and you are on the same page ….. who is the target…. City Hall
Frank: everyone will soon find out

At the end of the shift Jamie is still curious as to why Eddie wants to meet at Carmine's for dinner with Maria and Danny. Jamie calls Danny
