Blue Bloods- Season 12 - 8- Danny and Maria

Sid walks into Frank's Office: Boss we caught the killer… he's got a rap sheet a mile long

Frank: Sid ….. I want to know everything about this guy….. I mean everything… and bring it Baker

Sid: Boss…. We got the guy …. His face can be seen clearly ….. what else do you want to know

Frank: Sid….. I want this guys life in front of me… from the time he was born to the minute he pulled that trigger… I want his rap sheet broken down to how many crimes, who were the judges, who were the prosecutors, how many plea bargains….. why was he walking the streets most importantly who poisoned his mind to want to kill police officers

Sid: Boss…. You've never took this kind of interest… why now

Garrett walks in

Garrett: Now that we caught the accused killer….. should I schedule the press conference… the Mayor's office wants to be next to you

Frank: The only comment you will make is that we have a suspect and we are gathering evidence ….. as far as the mayor's office tell them the same and that there is no press conference.

Garrett: Frank… Commissioner….. you know the Mayor wants the good press

Frank: Garrett….. do as I say and what ever you do , don't say we have caught the killer….. when the time is right everyone will know that we got him and those responsible for making him the killer

Garrett: Your being vague, Commissioner….. who else is involved

Frank: Garrett in due time….. Sid get what I asked for and on your way out …. Have Baker come in

Abigail: Sir is there something you need me to do

Frank: Baker….. you know me better than I know myself… As Sid brings all the information of this guy I want you to put a slide presentation of how this guy got this far… Last year….. the politicians, the media and the bureaucrats turned a guy like George Floyd into the face of Police Brutality and called it Social Justice…. This Marcus DuBois will become the poster boy of all the insanity the George Floyd nonsense created. Do you understand what I want

Abigail: absolutely … Sir why know

Frank: If I can't restore common sense….. I don't want to do this job any longer… I don't want my children and grandchildren to think I didn't try to fix the mess that has been created ….. I'm fed up…. I'm taking the gloves off

Abigail: You know Sid and Garrett will want to know

Frank: Baker this is between you and me…. You know how to fend off Sid and Garrett….. Whatever Sid doesn't give you …. You have my authority to get whatever else you'll need

Abigail : Thank you sir for trusting me so

As soon as Abigail leaves Frank's office….. Sid and Garrett swarm in on her

Sid: what's he up to… I've never seen him get this involved before

Garrett: Is he starting a fight that no one can win

Abigail: We each have jobs…. just do what he asks….. the man doesn't need anyone to baby sit him….. he is my boss and the best one I've ever had…. If you need to know just ask him

Sid and Garrett know it's time to retreat, Abigail is firmly entrenched in Franks camp and whatever Frank is planning, Abigail isn't talking.

The two new Reagan expecting mothers are consumed with the thought of the babies they are carrying … Eddie calls Maria

Eddie: Maria …. How do you know your baby will be a girl… I don't know if I want boy or a girl

Maria: Danny and I both had dreams of this baby…. My dream it was Linda who gave me this beautiful black haired baby with blue eyes and told me that her name was Danni and that she was ready to meet her mommy and daddy….. When Danny dreamt of her on the plane coming back from Cancun and described her as the same as I saw …. There is no doubt that she will be a girl

Eddie: Your so lucky that you know… I can't wait for the sonogram so we can find out…. How long are you going to work….. both of our jobs aren't exactly conducive for pregnant mothers. I know Jamie will put me on desk duty

Maria: Danny will make me take a maternity leave … he is already upset that he isn't my partner to watch over me … reality will be when our babies are more important than our jobs and as of this morning the only one I'm thinking of is that beautiful girl

Eddie: Can we have sonograms together… I'm so glad we're going through this together….. I was afraid that I wouldn't have anyone to talk to about this

Maria: At my age….. even though I was ready to ask Danny to be a sperm donor if we hadn't gotten together….. I was really scared of going through this alone….. your making this so much easier and fun….. Thank you for being you

Eddie: you've become my big sister…. Just think our kids will think they are brothers and sisters instead of cousins…. They will have so much...better than I did growing up alone

Maria: When do we tell the family….. Sunday Dinner... everyone is more relaxed

Eddie: The Reagan Sunday Dinner has everyone there and can you imagine the conversation… I'll bet Erin will be so jealous

Maria: Do you think that Erin would want a new born

Eddie: let's see how she reacts and then We'll both know

As the week progresses Abigail has gotten all the pertinent information and has put together a slide show that Frank was exceedingly pleased

Frank: Baker….. you know me so well….. Now I will write a speech to give this the full impact it deserves

Abigail: Sir… your declaring war

Frank: You may not have me as a boss after this

Abigail: If you loose we all loose….. I wouldn't work for anyone else

Frank: Schedule a press conference for first thing Monday Morning….. Next week…. New York City and the State of New York will have a lot to talk about.

Frank calls Giovani Rizo: Gino …. The press conference will be first thing Monday morning….. have you gotten additional support and can they be available Monday morning

Gino: I was pleasantly surprised… They will be with you….. Frank, thank you for doing this

Frank: Thank you Gino… see you Monday

Sunday Dinner at the Reagan….. it's Eddie's turn and Maria decides to help her new sister

Eddie: I'm not that good of a cook as Jamie can attest to , but I getting better… Maria did such a fabulous job last week …. I asked her to help me out. The four of us had a greet meal at Carmine's….. so we decided to replicate it... I hope you like it

Maria: This is a special dish for Danny and I … our first date …. It's now become very memorable

The Diavolo Linguine with Shrimp is well received by the Reagans

Jamie: Eddie you continue to surprise me ….. Maria this is as good as what we had at Carmine's… I'm impressed

Danny: Our wives have outdone themselves… There is a reason for it ….. this dish brought us some great news…. Little brother….. it's time we share our good news….. You first

Jamie: Eddie is pregnant ….. we are going to have a baby

Frank with a big smile on his face stands and goes and gives Eddie a hug and Kiss and Hugs Jamie

Frank: We haven't had a high chair at this table in so long….. This is just what the family needs

Danny: Make that two high chairs….. Maria is also pregnant

Erin is ah struct: Eddie…. Maria….. why didn't you tell me

Eddie: It happened so fast….. I had a bad night after last Sunday's Dinner…. Rachel my partner drove me to the clinic to be check out… When I described what was happening the doctor suspected and then confirmed that I was pregnant… Maria and Silvie come into the clinic with the same symptoms….. so of course Rachel and I had to stick around . You should of seen the look on Maria's face when she came out….. It was so precious.

Maria: I was so worried that I had caused food poisoning….. We decided to break the news to Danny and Jamie that night and with the news of the police shootings we decided to wait till today to share it with the family

Henry: Two great grandchildren… You two come so that I can show my appreciation…. Eddie and Maria go to Henry so that he too can give them a hug and Kiss

Erin responses to Jack's look on his face: We have a grown daughter…. A baby at my age

Danny: what's our age difference

This conversation will become even more entertaining after Eddie and Maria have their first sonogram in several weeks.

The morning of the Press Conference

Frank: A week ago today two of NYPD's finest were executed for no apparent reasonother than they were wearing a police uniform. Their names were officer James Reynolds a 30 year veteran that had recently submitted his retirement papers. The other was Officer Sean Casey... he was two years from graduating from the police academy.

Please see their pictures on the screen behind me. Look at their faces….. both of these fine officers had families…. Officer Reynolds was a loving grandfather, father and loving husband …. By anyone's standards was a model citizen…. Yet he was shot in the head in the front seat of a police cruiser.

Officer Sean Casey… was to be married next month….. He chose to be a police officer because he wanted to do his part in helping his fellow man. He will never be able to be the husband and father that he desired. Again look at these men's faces and ask yourself why did they have to die

Only two bullets were fired striking each officer in the head killing them instantly. What did these two men do to deserve dying the way they did?

Please look at the surveillance video that captures the actual execution of these fine officers. The suspect walks up to the parked police cruiser fires two shots and walks away….. When I first looked at this tape… the thought that crossed my mind was…. How could one human being be so heartless to do this to another human being… Every baby that is born is not born bad… What influences shape any human being in their life's path.

Continue to look at the video of our suspect and play close attention as the resolutions begin to evolve until a clear facial picture of the suspect is revealed. This is the current face of our suspect….. His name is Marcus Dubois

Again look to the screen and see the many faces of Marcus Dubois through the years of the many mug shots from each of his arrests. Marcus Dubois is 27 years old has been arrested 15 times since he was 14 years old…. Look at his many faces and tell yourself what brought Marcus Dubois to approach that police cruiser… Why was he there…. What was his reasoning at that particular moment… Some of these questions will be answered when charges will be filed after our investigation is completed , but for now Marcus Dubois remains under custody without any chance of being let go until his trial date is set.

Again look at the many faces of Marcus Dubois over the years. His last arrest was for aggravated assault , just three months ago…. Why was Marcus Dubois walking the streets?

Look to the screen and see the charges filed, the length of time served, notice the names of the judges, the prosecutors and parole board members that seem to have had a soft spot for Marcus Dubois.

I haven't always been a commissioner….. I was a beat cop like Officer Reynolds and Officer Casey… whenever we came across a situation that required detention… we would provide the pertinent facts and then it would be up to the prosecutors, judges and parole boards to determine length of time served.

Over the years a significant change has occurred in this process… legislators create laws that are being influenced by outside forces that has created a perception that criminals are being treated to harshly and that police officers are using excessive force making the police more of a criminal that the actual criminals.

The NYPD which I head has over 30,000 officers….. are they all perfect….. no….. there are bad apples in every large institution… we do our best to weed them out….. but is it correct to paint every cop with a broad brush that the entire force uses excessive force and that every cop is a racist that doesn't understand the minority communities and their perception of fairness.

Who has created this perception of so called fairness and the phrase Social Justice… Politicians that run for Mayors, City Council, Governors, State Legislators and of course the Media, both print and televised.

If each elected official were to do their job according to the oath they took many of these circumstances wouldn't exist, but that is not the case… Weak politicians are only concerned about the money needed to get them elected. Media personalities no longer report the news but are more interested in creating the news. The situation that we are presently under is unsustainable.

If law and order is to be in place and the safety of citizens becomes a priority what I'm about to do wouldn't be necessary. City and State government and it's over reaching bureaucracies have declared war on the police …. Today as this City's Police Commissioner I will not let that stand. If you commit a crime, you will be arrested….. If you resist arrest, don't expect to be treated with kid gloves, and finally every elected official that has brought this chaos to our city will be held accountable.

Standing with me are Union Presidents through out the state of New York… Let me introduce my good friend Giovani Rizo , President of NYPD Union

Gino: Thank you Commisioner, you have done a stellar job in pointing out what our police officers have to deal with everyday in trying to keep this city safe. Our police officers have had to place hand cuffs on themselves every time they visit a crime scene, whether it's domestic violence dispute, a traffic accident, or gang violence and shootings or whatever violent crime .

The police officers that arrive at any crime scene aren't the originators of the crime, yet the spectators and agitators make them the culprits by yelling, spitting and recording their every move as though they were.

Police officers used to be a very respected profession, no longer is that the case….. The number one suspect in any crime scene is now the police officer.

Enough is enough… This week a civil rights lawsuit is being filed against the City of New York , holding the Mayor and City Council members accountable for their blatant disregard of each police officers civil rights. No one should be in fear for their life by simply putting on a police uniform.

Officer's James Reynolds and Sean Casey were executed because they were police officers. The only thing these politicians and bureaucrats understand is money. Therefore money is what they will pay. A $100 billion dollar liable suit is being filed in their names and every NYPD officer that risks his life daily to keep citizens safe. To the citizens of New York City , elections have consequences.

To the Governor and State Legislators…. Your next

Thank you Commissioner….. for your support

Frank: Gino and I will answer any questions, but please make them pertinent questions

Reporter# 1: Commissioner are you worried about your job now that you have declared war on the Mayor

Frank: The Mayor can do whatever he wants, hopefully it would be the job he was elected to do and that is keep the citizens of New York City safe… He had a solo press conference this week expounding that New York City is still the safest big city… but is it… This city was thrown into chaos because of the George Floyd - Social Justice diatribe and because of it, every police officer throughout the country has been placed under a microscope. This city hasn't recovered nor will it until police officers are allowed to do their job

Reporter # 2: $100 billion law suit… that will bankrupt the city

Gino : What is a life of a police officer worth… Please tell me what happened in the wake of these officers executions, were there any riots, Officer Reynolds he was black, Officer Casey he was white… How much damage did the city experience under the George Floyd Social Justice diatribe… The city still hasn't recovered from that destruction

Reporter# 3: What will you do if the Mayor fires you?

Frank: I will play with my new pending grandchildren and they will know that their grandfather was willing to do whatever it takes to keep them safe now and as they grow up.

The Mayor's reaction: That son of bitch he pinned me to the wall….. get me the latest polling numbers to see if I can fire his ass

This news conference will be the talk of everyone in City Government and The State Government… Frank Reagan has cracked the ground they walk on.

Frank walks into his office

Abigail: Well done sir….. I couldn't be any prouder of you…. You certainly got our backs covered

Frank: Baker….. are you sure you can't read my mind ….. It was everything I was looking for… I don't know what I would do without you

Abigail: Garrett and Sid are very anxious to see you

Frank: Send them in …. Let's get this over with

Garrett: Frank…. Have you lost your mind

Frank: I expect that to be tomorrow's Front page….. No I haven't lost my mind…. I made a decision and I went with it …

Sid: Boss… I've gotten so many calls …. They can't believe you put your neck on the line for them

Frank: The nonsense that we are going through needed drastic measures

Garrett: The mayor's office is in turmoil….. they can't believe you did that to the mayor….. but I must say ….. you cornered them….. as much as they want to fire you they can't

Sid: What next….. you made it sound like your taking the handcuffs off our guys…. Is that the case

Frank: I want to meet with all the precinct heads and explain what this is all about and the anticipated attacks that are coming

Garrett: Why weren't we in the loop

Frank: The only person I was willing to sacrifice for this was me….. I've had a good run and this was something I found myself compelled to do, especially now that Maria and Eddie are both pregnant. The nonsense that we are living in must be stopped.

Garrett: You handcuffed the Mayor with that enlightenment … he must be fuming right now.

Anthony comes walking into Erin's office

Anthony: Erin…. Did you now your father was planning this… the chatter outside your doors is priceless

Erin: last Sunday's dinner… this kind of was the topic of conversation, but I never thought dad was thinking of doing this….. Grandpa was talking about the good old days ….. everyone else was saying how bad their job has become …. I even agreed ….. criminals have been given more rights that the police

Anthony: Well Frank Reagan has got a set of

Erin: that's my dad … Anthony

Anthony: I'm just saying if there were more men like your dad running things….. this mess that we're in wouldn't have happened…. He got a set of balls that politicians just don't…. I respect him for it

Erin: I'm going to call him to see how he's holding up …. He's not made of stone and they are all going after him

Anthony: They can go after him all they want….. right now Frank Reagan is the most popular person in New York

Anthony's words will prove to be very proficient… as the week continues the polling numbers that the mayor was looking for places Frank Reagan with a 70% approval and the Mayor at 32%

Garrett can't wait to reveal these numbers to Frank

Garrett: Did you know you would become the most popular figure in New York

Frank: This has nothing to do about being popular…. This city and state can't continue the way it has… crime is going through the roof…. Everyone is on edge….. and hating one another is becoming the norm.

Garrett: The mayor's office knows that they have to make peace with you….. are you willing to talk with the mayor.

Frank: I still work for him… but it will be on neutral turf….. tell them they can buy me dinner at Delmonico's ….. just me and him no staff

Garrett: Flexing your muscles….. I'll relate the requirements

Sid walks in

Sid: Boss you've made quite an impression with the troops , there are still some that like how things are….. the reason I'm telling you …. I've been getting some comments that Captain Espinosa…. Jamie's Captain is starting to show signs of resentment for Jamie

Frank: What kind of resentment

Sid: He's a Reagan …. Your son….. he starting to be a little prick. Has Jamie said anything

Frank: Jamie will never say anything….. he'll fight his own battles…. But keep an eye on him….. is it just Jamie or is he just a little power hungry

Sid : Will do boss….. bye the way….. I'll always have your back covered…. You've got a backbone made of steel.

Sunday Dinner…. it's Erin's Turn

Erin: Jack will you help me with the grilling of steaks….. this was a week like no other

Eddie and Maria both go give frank a kiss on each cheek

Eddie: your the best father -in - law and boss anyone could have

Maria: our children are lucky to have a grandfather like you

Frank: Thank you…. I love you to….. This family is the most important to me and it's safety is paramount

Danny: Would you have really given up your job….. to make a point

Frank: It's just a job….. for my own peace of mind I had to know that I could make a difference… when I'm gone someone else will have to decide for themselves what direction they will follow. I'm at peace with my self

Jamie: now the Reagan footprints have become even larger to follow….. we wouldn't have it any other way….

Henry: Francis… you made that weasel mayor change his diapers….. I wish I could have seen his face

Joe: Grandpa…. You know I've been sitting on the fence as to who I truly am…. I know who I am … I went and had my birth certificate changed to Joseph Hill Reagan ….. I am a Reagan

Frank's and Henry's both smile and form a little tear in their eyes

Jamie: Officer Joseph Hill Reagan….. get ready for what's coming your way

Maria: It's not all bad …. I've got a partner that wanted to know if there were any available Reagan's left ….. the Reagan men seem to have a reputation for satisfying their ladies

Joe: I'm not available….. Amy is the only one for me ….. now I have to convince her

Jamie: When you know you know

Frank: it's good to be a Reagan
