Danny tells Maria that he went to Maggie Gibsin to see if she could help with the killing of the little boy that was randomly shot. Maria's hormones are now in full swing and her reaction wasn't what Danny was expecting.

Council Woman Thomas : Frank….. what the hell has gotten into you

Council Woman Thomas: are you trying to return the city back to the dark ages
Frank: Do you mean a time when citizen's and I mean every citizen felt safe….. those dark ages….. Regina
Council Woman Thomas: The new policies have established some fairness
Frank: Fairness ….. really….. is that why crime is at an all-time high… Don't give me that fairness crap… Your district alone has twice the killings than it's ever had….. Regina you're a smart woman , but if you think what you and fellow council members are doing any favors to your constituents, then you're not as smart as I thought you were. Making cops the enemy doesn't help anyone especially the minority communities that have been decimated with crime.
Council woman Thomas: Since the George Floyd killing our people needed something…..
Frank: like killing two of my officer's….. Why hasn't the city been destroyed… Officer Reynolds was black…. Officer Casey was white so his life doesn't matter as far as your concerned
Council Woman Thomas : That's not fair, Frank
Frank: That's the point nothing is fair…. Either we have law and order or we do not…. If City Council doesn't get it's head out of it's collective asses, my police officers are going to hold everyone responsible for jeopardizing their lives because of the nonsense that the poverty pimps that have encroached themselves because of the chaos that's been allowed to spread.

Kimberly: We do our best ….. with such a high volume of cases
Erin : These policies of being lenient with criminals isn't working…. Crime is again on the rise and we don't have the staff nor the facilities to handle the cases… Proves my father's point… the system is broken
Evening comes and Major Peter Chase waits for Commissioner Frank Reagan to arrive at Delmonico's. The mayor gets further irritated when Frank arrives and is greeted with a round of applause from the customers and staff

Frank: I seam to remember the last conversation we had ... you were only concerned with getting tourism back and the status quo remained… You're under some kind of allusion that this city is safe…. What's happened to you since you got elected as the law and order mayor
Mayor: George Floyd incident and Covid nock this city on it's ass
Frank: you allowed it… George Floyd was an excuse….. when you stopped the police and let the rioters run ruff shod over this city you set a precedent that we haven't been able to overcome….. Why did you let that happen….. those puppets you call advisors had your ear and you listened without seeing the consequences
Mayor: City Council was all over me to not be hard nose and show a little sympathy
Frank: Look at where were at now….. the highest crime rate in years… There is so much hate out there….. people are scared and they are anxious… if we don't find a way to calm this city down…. This city is going to be lost for good… I'll be damed if it's going to happen under my watch
Mayor: so suing the city and holding elected officials accountable is your solution
Frank: If things don't change ….it is…. I had Regina Thomas in my office today asking the same thing and my answer was the same… Let the cops do their job and get these thugs off the streets … and don't tell me it can't be done… Remember Rudy Guillianni's term.
Mayor: Some said that the cops were overly aggressive
Frank: now they can be assaulted and aren't allowed to draw the guns nor arrest the assailant…. Why have cops at all... if these policies are allowed to stand… look at how some of these arrogant SOB's get on TV and brag about how many times they get arrested and nothing happens to them . You and City Council did this.
Mayor: How are we going to fix it
Frank: What are you willing to do and how far will you go to change the perception that cops are bad
Mayor: what about bad cops
Frank: we will continue to weed them out, but the rest of them need peoples respect again.
Mayor: so you want PSA's from me and City Council
Frank: Not just PSA but Policy rescissions…. Reviews of weak judges and prosecutors…. We 've had to live with citizen reviews of cops now it's their turn.
Mayor: this can't happen over night
Frank: It's a start, plus we need more cops to start cleaning up the streets…. Once it looks like things are getting back to normal we'll let normal attrition reduce the numbers.
Mayor: I'll schedule a press conference that this war is over
Frank: Not so fast…. Talk is cheap….. action speaks louder than words….. Politics as usual isn't going to fly this time around

Frank: When common sense returns to City Hall….. as you said it doesn't happen over night
The Stalemate continues….. The Mayor comes to terms that Frank is not backing down ...real change must happen and not just lip service

Frank: I couldn't of said it any better…. He has to show that the changes are taking place… saying it doesn't make it so….. I told him City Hall and Council Members need to make PSA supporting the Police and reversing their asinine policies of letting criminals off the hook….. three strikes your out must be enforced

Frank: It doesn't matter what he likes…. This city needs to return to some common sense
Sid: I know all of our cops would love it….. maybe being a cop might be a good thing
Frank: Sid we have to make an extra effort to get rid of the bad ones….. the Blue Code of protecting the bad ones has to stop also….. That has compounded the problem
Sid: I hear you boss…. When do we have the meeting
Frank: Once I start seeing the PSA's, then we can signal that things may change….. but in the meantime weeding out bad cops needs to be a priority….. both low level and high level
Garrett: Will City Council object…. This has been one of their sticking points of fairness to the minority communities
Frank: The minority communities have been the hardest hit by this crime up surge…. Some of these poverty pimps that got elected need to get un elected.
Garrett: Will you have any joint press conferences
Frank: If he asks I'll be there, but I don't think he wants to put himself in the position of answering questions that he can't right now….. we'll both see the direction he is taking

Friday comes and the new expecting parents arrive for their scheduled appointments

Nurse begins to move the whan to locate the heart beats….. a surprise look comes over her face
Eddie: Is something wrong with our baby….. please tell me…. Jamie tell me
Nurse: Nothing is wrong….. but I'm hearing more than one heart beat…. Let's see what appears on the screen
Jamie: what are we suppose to see
Nurse puts her head sets on Jamie….. says: Listen and look…. Each beat of the heart can be seen on the screen…. Even though they are quite small…. Your babies have a strong heart beat.
Eddie: You said babies …. Is there more than one…. Jamie how many do you see
Nurse turns the screen so that Eddie can also see: This movement is your first baby, This other is your second baby and This last one is your third baby
Eddie: Are you telling us we are having triplets…. How can that be….. How will I be able to carry three babies….. Jamie is this really happening
Nurse: Even though you're small your pelvic structure will have no problem with triplets…. But we will monitor you closely …. Your next visit we should be able to see their sex… if you chose to know.
Jamie: If they are all the same sex will they be identical
Eddie: Identical triplets….. I can't believe what is happening….
Nurse: we won't be able to tell if they are identical until birth…. If all three are in the same Placenta they will be identical…. If they each have their own … they will be fraternal…. Congratulation's you are now parents of a unique group - Triplets.
Eddie: I have to ask….. how big will I get
Nurse: Depending on how you take care of yourself… you shouldn't be much bigger …. But we will monitor you so we will keep you as comfortable as we can.
Eddie puts her cloths back on and she and Jamie go to the lobby where Danny and Maria are anxiously waiting to hear the news
Maria: Did you see… is it a boy or a girl …. Eddie don't keep us in suspense
Eddie: It's your turn …. When you come out we will share
Danny: The detective in me sees that something isn't right
Jamie: Everything is fine… go look at your baby … it's an experience to behold
The Nurse prepares Maria and asks: Is this your first child

Danny and Maria go to meet Jamie and Eddie that still have that startled look on their faces
