Blue Bloods - Danny and Maria - Episode 12-13
Lately the Reagan family has been on some form of assault…. A contract was discovered in trying to kill Danny , Joe was attacked leaving him with a broken arm and some bruised ribs, along with a battered face while Erin was out lawyered in a cold case murder that got the murderer acquitted.
With these events as the topic of conversation at the Sunday dinner …the two very pregnant Reagan women decided to spend some time with just themselves. They decide to meet for lunch and do a little shopping.
Eddie: Maria…. Thanks for making the time….. it's been a while since we got together
Maria: It's been two long….. so how is it going….. the boys giving you any trouble
Eddie: Let's eat….. if this is any indication…. These three are going to eat Jamie and I out of house and home….. look at me
Maria: you look great
Eddie: you're the one that looks great….. you haven't put on that much weight and your'e farther along than I am….. I'm starting to feel like a milking cow
Maria: you're to hard on yourself….. one benefit of being pregnant….. bigger boobs without silicone
Eddie: If my boobs get any bigger …. I don't know how I'll hold them up….. one good thing Jamie loves them
Maria: Why do guys like bigger boobs….. Danny is always touching them…..
Eddie: we got to be thankful for our Reagan guys… You didn't say much at the Sunday Dinner….. This week got to you...didn't it
Maria: When Jamie came over and talked to Danny, I knew something bad was going down…. I finally forced Danny to tell me and my heart almost stopped….. everything was going through my head…. What was Danni and I going to do if Danny was killed….
Eddie: I couldn't get Jamie to tell me until it was all over….When he told me they used a pregnant girl to carry out the hit …. I thought to myself….. how can someone carrying a life take a life
Maria: Good thing she wasn't thinking about having an abortion….. Danny lucked out on that one
Eddie: We all lucked out… This was bad enough, poor Joe got his ass kicked…. Poor guy took a hell of a beating….. broken arm… bruised ribs and his face was pretty banged up.
Maria: he is definitely a Reagan….. he wasn't going to tell anyone who did it he was going to do it by himself….. It was pretty smart of the Commissioner to use Amy to intervene
Eddie: our father-in-law knows his women….. When Amy found out she threatened him with even a bigger beating if he didn't do what the commissioner asked… Amy is going to fit right in with us …. We need to give Joe even a bigger push… I like that girl
Maria: she comes from a cop's family so she definitely understands what she is in for…. Should we invite her to Sunday dinner and force Joe's hand
Eddie: I can't believe you suggested that….. that would be something I would do ….. we're rubbing off on each other….. but we better mind our own business
Maria: Im getting hungry….. I wonder what's taking so long
No sooner said then two trays of food arrive with Danny and Jamie
Maria: How did you know we were here
Danny: really….
Eddie: Jamie did you have us followed
Jamie: not really, but after this week it's better to be smart and not dead…. We activated a tracking app on your phones
Danny: you two are carrying four Reagans and what would the two of us do if something happened to both of you
Maria: notice the kids come first, then their mothers
Danny: I swear I can't win any argument with these hormones in overdrive…. Feed our daughter, she is starving.
Eddie: we're messing with you….. we both said how lucky we are that we have you two as husbands
Maria: If you play nice…. Those hormones may give you a treat later tonight
Jamie: Danny…. Don't say another word
Eddie: Jamie loves those kind of treats
The four of them continue with their lunch and when they left the thought of nightly treat remained vivid in each of their minds.
At the DA office, Erin and Anthony are in a close door meeting
Anthony: you've been pissed off ever since that acquittal verdict….. What are you going to do about it
Erin: Kimberly Crawford thinks she out lawyered me….. instead of doing the job she was appointed to she decided to play games….. this one played will be her last….. I'm going to make her choke on it
Anthony: Does this mean what I think it means
Erin: Anthony….. It's time we play a little hardball with Kimberly Crawford….. if Dad can do it with the Mayor ….. why can't we.
Anthony: when the Reagan's get pissed off all hell will break lose…are you going to give Jack the go ahead to get the money people
Erin: Jack and I will have a heart to heart this evening and then I will talk with the rest of the family and a final decision will be made
Anthony: so your serious this time
Erin: as serious as I have ever been
Anthony: let's get her done
In the Commissioner's office
Abigail has her back turned when she hears a voice from that she hoped she would never hear again
Kelly: Is the Commissioner in... I would like to say a quick hello
Abigail turns without showing her disdain for Kelly Davidson the reporter that used sex to get her stories
Abigail: Let me ask if he is available…. Sir …. Miss Davidson would like to see you
Frank: who
Abigail: you know who….. Do you have time for her
Frank: Send her in
Kelly walks in and Frank notices she still has her looks, the past 8 years hasn't changed her that much
Frank: Well miss Davidson….. what brings you back to the big Apple
Kelly: I know I didn't leave on the best of terms…. But really Miss Davidson….. Frank it's been 8 years
Frank: Is this business or a social call
Kelly: A little of both…. I was wondering if we could have dinner and we could discuss both
Frank: Tell me what you're hear for first….. and then I'll decide if dinner is worth it
Kelly: Frank you've become a national story in your war with the Mayor of New York City…. The network would like your take… on a personal level I wanted to see you again …. men like you don't come around that often

As Kelly Davidson leaves the office, Abigail comes into Frank's office, not to pleased

Frank: Abigail….. what's going on…. You've never questioned who I see or don't see
Abigail: I never liked her …. She's a user

Abigail: I'm just worried….. you've got enough problems …. She shouldn't be one of them
In the fifteen years Abigail Baker has worked for Frank Reagan her professionalism was paramount, today was the first time her hidden emotions came out ….. was Abigail a little jealous. Garrett didn't help matters when he walked by and asked
Garrett: Was that Kelly Davidson….. Is she back in town
Abigail: you men are all the same
Garrett: What was that for… He walks away knowing that Abigail is in no mood for small talk.
At the Boyle household….. Erin has her heart to heart with Jack
Erin: I don't know if I can continue to work for that woman
Jack: you've lost cases before….. why is this bothering you so
Erin: It's the way I lost it…. She played me
Jack: You've kicked my ass a few times….. maybe it's time you show the real Erin Reagan Boyle and do a little ass kicking of your own….. She played her hand ….. let's officially open an exploratory committee and start staffing for an official campaign…. I've already talked to a really good campaign manager

One of the subjects that Maria and Eddie talked about was maternity leave…. They both came to the realization that being a cop carrying a baby in your belly, Eddie's case three….. wasn't the best decision for the babies….. tonight they inform Danny and Jamie of their decision
Danny and Maria's home
Maria: Danny… I thought I could do this longer….. but after last week….. I realized I'm hurting Danni if I stay on the job any longer
Danny: It's about time…. I know you thought that we needed the money….. but you and Danni are the most important to me
Maria: so your ok with it

Sunday dinner arrives with a few surprises

Frank: Amy…. Welcome… Has my grandson behaved himself
Amy: He is still as stubborn as can be… but we're getting that under control….. thank you for welcoming me

The Reagan dinner table was getting smaller when Niki and Jack went away. The events of the past year however has made the Reagan clan grow three fold. Henry, the grand old patriarch looks with a smile on his face that such a family exists
After dinner Frank asks that everyone go to the family room for a start of a new family tradition.
Frank: A certain video was brought to my attention and I thought our family would like to see it….. Our beloved Eddie as her last official act before maternity leave had the distinction of making this collar.
Eddie: Grandpa…. I had nothing to do with this
Frank: As everyone got a good laugh when the wanna be thief found himself a victim of the Good Samaritan… the Reagan's will be the only one's to know who the Good Samaritan is… enjoy it
Video has the wanna be robber showing his gun at the store owner and asking for all his money….. then a voice can be heard… " Be Smart or Be Dead" as the gun is pointing against the robbers head is held by Henry Reagan , who then handcuffs the perk to shelves so that he can't escapes.
Danny: Gramps…. " Be smart or Be Dead" ….. I've got to remember that one…. You still got it
Henry: It felt good
Erin: Grandpa…. You took a big risk…. This climate makes no one want to be a good samaritan
Henry: we are Reagan's we were born to serve
As everyone looks to each other and smiles Erin decides it's time to make her official announcement in front of her family
Erin: Grandpa you are so right…. We were born to serve….. I've decided to run for the DA position….. the DA's office needs new leadership
Frank: now you can bring some common sense back to it
Danny: you're going to be a little more cop friendly, and stop breaking my chops with every collar
Maria: Now that I'm on maternity leave…. I want to help
Eddie: that includes me also
Amy: if you let me…. I'd also like to help if I can
Henry looks to Frank and smiles as the Reagan women are uniting to open a new front in the war with the city.
Before Erin makes her official announcement Frank makes a call to Giovani Rizo
Frank: Gino…..I would like to give you a heads up and also ask for your support
Gino: Frank…. What can I do for you
Frank: Gino….. my daughter Erin…. Is going to announce her running for the DA's office…. I would like you to be there to show that the boots on the ground are with her
Gino: A Reagan as the DA….. you don't have to ask twice….. I would be glad to give our endorsement… I'll make a call to the Firefighters Head … Dennis O'leary and give Erin a full sweep
Frank: I knew I could count on you
Gino: The Mayor is not going to be to happy….. but he needs another slap to get his head out of his ass.
Jack Boyle notifies the press that Erin Reagan Boyle will have a press conference to announce her candidacy for the office of District Attorney for the City of New York.
With all the Reagan's in their dress blues along with Giovani Rizo and Dennis O'leary standing behind Erin as Jack Boyle introduces his wife to the news outlets
Jack: If ever their was a person that has earned her way to become New York's new DA … it is Erin Reagan Boyle… not because she is my wife and not that she is the granddaughter and daughter to two of New York's longest serving Police Commissioners….. she chose to be a prosecutor instead of the the big law firms that have tried to lure he. As a prosecutor….. she has put many criminals behind bars unlike today where criminals have more rights than the law biding citizens….. Erin will have more to say on that subject…. Erin: Thank you Jack…. I would also like to thank my family who are all hear … A special thanks to Mr Giovani Rizo and Mr Dennis O'Leary for their endorsement from the NYPD and NYFD unions which I promise to work closely to make the City safe again.
I asked myself a few questions…..How will I make the citizens of New York City feel safe… How will I be able to remove the fear in many of the neighborhoods that are being over run with crime and violence. The past few years this city has been rocked with increased violence….. and the solution that was put forth was that the police needed to stand down and not violate the criminals civil rights. Look at what that solution has gotten us….. Riots and vandalism left unpunished… Criminals going on the airwaves bragging about their get out of jail free cards.
How was any of this allowed to happen….. There was a time when NYC was very safe….. people loved coming to the big apple….. we had some of the lowest murder rates per capita of any large metropolitan area. So what went wrong
I've worked in the system my entire working career… the answer to what went wrong is when elected officials , whether city hall, city council and the DA's office begin to play politics and forget to enforce the laws that they are sworn to uphold the city is left unprotected. Cops are asked not to do their jobs and if they do they are treated as the criminal.
I make one promise and that is that laws will be enforced, peoples rights will be upheld and if you commit a crime….. I will put you behind bars

As the questions are being askedby reporters... Mayor Peter Chase and DA Kimberly Crawford are hovered together with their aides to discuss what this announcement will do to them.
Mayor Chase: That son of bitch is trying to box me in….. does she have any chance of winning
Chief of Staff: we will know more with the over night polling…. We need to prop up DA Crawford…. She took a hit with that trial
Mayor Chase: whatever the fuck you have to do … do it…. I'll god damed if the Reagan's are going to run this city
Chief of Staff: I'll assemble a team to see what our options are
In Kimberly Crawfords office she and her closest aids watched the press conference closely
DA Crawford: I was right she wanted this job all along….. she lost the trial because of it …. How can we use it to make her loose the campaign
Aid Harris: Having the Police and Firefighters unions endorse her this early, doesn't bowed well for us….. The Reagan's do have connections
DA Crawford: let's make it personal … a poor black woman against the very white Reagans
Aid Harris: that strategy could back fire….. the Reagan's aren't racist….. if they were it would have been played long ago….. but you're the boss
DA Crawford: that privileged white girl is going to get a lesson in identity politics
