Blue Bloods -12 -23 - Danny and Maria
The Waiting at the hospital is about to come to an end. In the delivery room Dr Stephanie tells Maria that it's time
Maria: Danny…. Hold my hand
Danny: I'm holding it sweetie… remember what we been practicing…. Start breathing… I love you… you can do this
Dr Stephanie: Maria… everything is fine… now take a deep breath and start pushing as hard as you can… little Danni is anxious to see you both
Maria begins to push….. Danny holds her hand tightly: Baby you can do this
Dr Stephanie: That was good…. Relax a little and then take a deep breath and push hard….. There is the crown of her head….. Maria another strong push
Maria takes a deep breath and screams as loud as she can as she pushes Danni's little head out and Dr Stephanie easily pulls her body out.
Dr Stephanie: look at this little cutie full head of black hair….. she cuts the umbilical cord gives Danni to the nurse to clean and bundle.
The nurse then gives Danni to her father who is speechless. Danni looks at his daughter in wonderment that is this real. Little Danni opens her eyes and smiles. Her striking blue eyes and that little smile and that black hair is Danny's dream on the airplane coming back from Cancun
Danny: Maria…. Sweetheart… it is really is her… she was in our dreams….. she is so beautiful
Maria: Danny bring her to me
Danny brings Danni to Maria and kisses both of them
Maria looks at her daughter: our baby you made mommy and daddy's dream come true….. She then closes her eyes and thanks Linda for making this happen.
Dr Stephanie: Danni looks perfectly healthy so you have nothing to worry about… they are going to take you into your room… I want to monitor you overnight to make sure the vital signs stay normal…. Better safe then sorry…. You need to rest…. Congratulations she is a beautiful little girl.
In the room Danny still is in ah …. This beautiful little girl is his daughter
Danny: Maria …..sweetheart… thank you for never giving up on me… life has given us a second chance at being happy ….. looking at Danni I'm as happy as I've ever been
Maria: Did I ruin the Christening
Danny: You didn't ruin anything….. Eddie wanted to be with you….. but being a mother to triplets has it's priorities…. The rest of the family have been patiently waiting….. Carmen and Anna are here also…. I will go tell them that the wait is over… you rest …. OK…. I Love both of you so much…. Gives Maria and Danni a kiss
As Danny leaves the nurse comes in and asks Maria if she is up to breast feeding
Maria: My three nephews have made sure of that
Nurse confused a little
Maria: My sister in law just had identical triplets six weeks ago…. I've been helping her out…. My boobs are full of milk
Nurse: that's good … your daughter will not have to struggle being fed…. Put her lips close to your breast and see if she attaches herself.
Maria lifts her maternity gown and places Danni's lips close to her breast… Danni instinctively moves her lips and begins sucking her mothers milk.
Maria: Each time I fed the boys I dreamed of the moment I got to feed you….. My precious baby fill your tummy … mommy loves you so much
Danny comes to the waiting room, Frank, Sean, Jack, Erin, Jack Boyle, Carmen and Anna have been patiently waiting.
Danny: What can I say… She is here….. she is as pretty as can be….. I still can't figure out where those blue eyes came from
Frank: Is Maria alright… no complications
Carmen: When can we see my granddaughter
Danny: Maria is resting with the baby to see if she will feed
Anna: tell us more….. describe my niece
Danny: she has a full head of black hair, piercing blue eyes and the prettiest little smile….. like Nikki's ….. she is the best of the Reagan's and Baez's
With everything happening and the rush to the hospital…. Danny remembers that he didn't place the baby carrier and the overnight bag into the car
Danny: Jack…. Sean… do me a favor … take the car and get the baby carrier and diaper bag for your sister….. there is also an overnight bag for Maria to change cloths.
Hearing the words your sister started a conversation between Sean and Jack that they haven't had as they drive to do what their father asked
Sean: I haven't really thought about it… but we have a little sister….. she is so little and we are so much older …. How is it going to be between us
Jack: she will always be able to say she has two older brothers… but sad to say she will never have that kind of connection with us… we more than likely will have our own families before she even realize what a brother means to her
Sean: at least she now has 3 cousins her own age…. It will be like Nikki and us…. She was like our older sister than a cousin
Jack: How do you think dad will be with her
Sean: I pity the guy when the day comes and she brings home a boy friend
Jack: Dad understood boys but girls have never been his forte
Sean: that's when we can step in as her big brothers
The days and weeks pass…. the triplets along with little Danni have settled into a routine giving their parents and the rest of the family the ability to return to business as usual.
One change that Frank has noticed but hasn't commented on is Abigail's appearance. Abigail has always been very business like and professional looking, but lately a slight change is occurring…. Her choices in clothing has been subtle but alluring. Her dresses and skirts are slightly shorter…. More use of belts to show a thinner waist….. Slight slits on the side to show a little more leg , black nylons , blouses that show slight cleavage. It has become noticeable that Abigail has lost close to 10 pounds making her appearance more striking. Whenever she leaves the room Frank can't help but notice her ass since her skirts make it so. When she is in the room and she crosses her legs, the slit on the side of her dress or skirt does accentuate her legs making Frank want to see more. However Frank Reagan remains in the look but don't touch policy.
In the morning briefing … different points of view appear when discussing the headlines of the cop that was severely beaten by gang members. Frank can't help but think of Danny's information
Danny: So chain of command wise, I probably should be talking to Lieutenant Gormley
Frank: But your not
Danny: No, Because when it comes to a cop in question, Lieutenant Gormley tends to go deaf, dumb and blind.
Frank: Well, some of the time
Danny: Okay, it may be nothing, but I had an informant in interrogation room for three hours….. claims Detective O'Neill is a dirty cop
Frank: and you believe him
Danny: He could be making it up to save his own ass
Frank: But something got your attention Danny: Allegedly, Detective O'Neill is in business with a gang called the Dead Twins…My C.I. didn't give me the how or the why… Something track for you
Frank: Well, things haven't exactly been adding up around Detective O'Neill….Like . What was he doing in that neighborhood that night
Danny: I heard he was working undercover
Frank: Yeah, he was working undercover, but his C.O. said there was no reason that he should be there…. No other leads
Danny: Nope
Frank: Well, if it walks like a duck
Danny: Maybe someone else saw him flash his shield and took him out
Frank: Maybe….. or it's like what your C.I. said….. Everyone's calling him a hero cop
Danny: Dad….. What if he turns out to be the opposite
Frank: Let me worry about that
Danny: I'll follow it down wherever it leads
Frank: All this and the guy may never wake up
With Danny's information fresh in his mind... Garret , Sid and Abigail go back and forth as to how to handle the situation
Garrett: Did you know Sarah O'neill appeared with the PBA president, and mostly talked about why you haven't held a press conference yourself
Frank: We're just not there yet.
Garrett: Well , you never should've agreed to let her appear with you
Frank: I didn't agree to….. I just didn't hit her with a hard no
Garrett: Same Thing
Frank: No it's not, Garrett…. She was 20 feet away from her husband, who was broken in 50 places….. A hard no had no place there
Sid: I don't see what the big deal is, anyway, Garrett… She's probably still in shock….. she gets that discount
Garrett: We look all zipped - lipped about her hero husband

Sid: The investigation is still inconclusive… that's what's going on
Garrett: But conclusive enough to know bringing her up to speak to Frank is a no - go
Abigail knowing what Frank is dealing with: He didn't say that…. He didn't say anything
Garrett: What are you not telling us about Detective O'Neill
Frank: There is nothing not to tell
Sid: You got some kind of beef with this guy
Frank: Sid , easy… there's a way these things usually go and this ain't it…. We are sifting through conflicting stories

After the meeting Garrett still isn't willing to let go he tries to bate and switch Abigail
Garrett: I've never known you to be so quiet ….. is this new Abigail that your becoming have something to do with it

Garrett: Abbey….. after the divorce you've changed… new style of cloths, your makeup and you've lost a little weight… is there a new man in your life

Abigail: You seriously think I would tell you….. anyway thanks for the compliments….. at least my efforts haven't gone unnoticed

Eddie and Maria have worked really hard to get their bodies back to pre pregnancy status… Eddies decides that it's a cause for a celebration…. She calls Maria
Eddie: Maria…. I've been thinking…. Is getting our tits sucked on everyday all that's left of our lives… Don't get me wrong….. I wouldn't trade it … the boys are great …. But let's face it we haven't had any real fun other than being baby mommas….. are you up for a girls night

Eddie: the more the merrier…. We've got two more Reagan women… Erin needs to loosen up and Amy needs to be welcomed into our fold. Ever since the christening I've been dying to find out about Abigail and Frank

Eddie: When she danced with Frank at Amy's and Joe's wedding you have to admit there was something between them…. I clearly saw it at the baptism when she sat next to him…. My mother even asked me if she was his girlfriend… I will call her

Maria: the only one they would want to hit on would be Amy…. She still has that young girl's body

The girls night out becomes the topic of conversation at Sunday Dinner
Eddie: Since Maria and I have done all the heavy lifting this past year….. we've decided that we need a girls night out….. Erin… your campaign could stand seeing you have some fun….. Amy….. this lets you get to know us a little better
Maria: There is a little catch… the Reagan men will have the privilege of watching the Reagan grandchildren

Henry: In that case the Reagan men will have a card game
Danny: Pop… Dad…. No cigars …. Maria will kill me if Danni smells of cigar smoke
Eddie: How are you gonna take care of the babies and play cards
Henry: Really… You don't think the Reagan men can take care of 4 babies….We've been taking care of 6 million people for all these years with the cards we were dealt
Jamie: Eddie … you girls deserve a night out….. we will manage…. My three sons will get there first lesson in card playing

Maria: we will never know unless we let them… no cigars, however

Girls Night
Eddie decides that all the girls will meet at The Trinity Place that caterers to assorted wines along with a menu that any of the girls could find to their liking. They also have table booths that can easily accommodate 6 woman and provide some privacy that hookup bars don't.
Eddie: girls … shall we start with some appetizers and some drinks….. they have an assortment of wines
Erin: You and Jamie have gotten into wine lately
Eddie : with three babies, me trying to loose all that weight….. we needed something to distract us from our new reality
Abigail : I have to say you and Maria have done an amazing job in loosing weight
Maria: speaking of loosing weight… You have too….. Trying to impress anyone
Abigail: I know where this is going…. No I'm not trying to impress anyone….. I looked at myself and thought this is not who I want to be…. I wanted to impress myself
Eddie: I'm sure our father -in - law noticed
Abigail : wrong… he wouldn't admit it even he did…. That's not the Reagan way
Amy: Your right about that….. it's like pulling teeth for Joe to compliment me
Eddie: he had to compliment you on that little skimpy thing your wore on the honeymoon….. You looked great
Maria: Danny made me cover up in Cancun… why do they do that…..they like it but they are quick to take it off when were alone
Anna: I'm jealous you all have a Reagan man and I just have to here stories

The waiter comes with another round of drinks and the appetizers as the conversation begins to get more personal
Maria: This is going to get real interesting
Eddie: Abby….. you could have Frank anytime you want and you know that… what's stopping you

Abigail: Frank is my boss…. That's all that's between us….. Eddie you're putting me where I can't let myself be

Abigail calls the waiter to bring another round of drinks
Abigail: It's not as simple as you think…. Even if I dared to make a move…. I know what he will say before he says it….. he's too old and I'm wasting myself on an old man past his prime
Eddie: what would be your response to those answers
Abigail takes another sip of her wine : What would my response be? ….yes, you're older than me…. How is it wasting myself to be with the man I admire the most and love
Erin: Abby… you really love my Dad….. I wasn't thrilled when I saw him with that flossy reporter… what's her name
Abigail: Kelly Davidson… and the many others that you don't know about but I do
Amy: Are you saying Grandpa is a player… I'm finding out things Joe didn't know
Maria: The Reagan men have their share of groupies ….. Danny had his share but at least he never took them to bed
Eddie: I use to want to rip those bimbo's heads off when they threw themselves at Jamie and I had to just stand there and smile
Anna: Maria, so after all those years of crying over someone you thought you could never have….. you just let it all hang out to get Danny
Maria: I wouldn't say I let it all hang out, but I showed him what he was missing… he certainly made up for what I was missing
At the card game….. the babies became the focus as Frank and Henry got to hold and admire their grandchildren. When they started to become a little fidgety, Jamie gives each of his sons bottle and Danny does the same with Danni and then place them in their carriers while they fill their bellies. Jamie one by one puts them on his shoulder to burp them and then places a pacifier in their mouths and fall asleep. Danny does the same for Danni.
Henry: Are we ready to play some cards….Jack….. Anthony you weren't with us at the last game any game that you prefer
Anthony: your house your rules
Danny: your catching on
Frank: Jack… I want to thank you again for handling Abigails problem
Jack: It was my pleasure… I'm glad it went as smooth as it did… it could have dragged out and made them both miserable… speaking of miserable….. Anthony what did you tell Erin that's got her so upset
Anthony: you know Erin… she's like a mother hen… she thinks she needs to protect me from myself when it comes to women… she crossed the line this time and I told her we needed some space
Jack: That comment is now being directed at me… Can you please make up with her … I just started having a happy home life
Danny: what did she do this time
Anthony: she saw me at breakfast with a girl that I've been checking on over the years that was involved in a case I handled. The fact that she was younger and spoke with a Russian accent… Erin went full gonzo …had her checked out… her whole family history and immediately she was some Russian escort trying to scam me
Frank: was she
Anthony: no the girl was twelve when I put her Dad away for being a bag man for the Russian mob…..I have always felt bad that the kids of these crooks pay the price for their actions… so I've been following up with her to see if she's getting along and if she needs any help
Henry: your a good cop… unlike that crooked one that got his ass kicked
Danny: Dad….. How did you handle O'Neill's wife…. She was determined to make a stink that her husband wasn't treated fairly
Frank: When I told her that only three people knew what really happened… that was me, you and her husband… I told her to talk to her husband before she continues this path that she put herself on Henry: Anthony…. It looks like you and me are the only ones without women in our lives
Frank: Pop….. whose my woman
Henry: Francis… do I really need to answer that
Jamie and Danny: Pop what are you keeping from us
Danny: Has St Francis got somebody we don't know about
Henry: let's just say if he let's his pride keep getting in the way he is going to miss out
