And now I'd like to do something for Clynn, another one of my non-canon OTPs. I know they most likely won't be a thing on the show and I don't mind seeing them having different love interests (as long as I like them), but it shouldn't stop me from shipping them together as they're my favorite pairing involving either of them.

Clyde x Lynn: Unwind

Lynn walked through the door to her apartment. Her red and white baseball uniform was covered in sweat stains and her face displayed an expression of exhaustion. She was immediately pulled into a loving embrace by her boyfriend Clyde who'd been waiting for her to return. Lynn threw down her sports bag and returned the hug.

The two had known each other since Clyde first became friends with Lincoln. And even though they didn't always see eye to eye on everything, they never did have a bad relationship overall. As they got older, they became closer and hung out more. First they only spent time together when Lincoln was with them, then they started hanging out just the two of them sometimes. Lynn always liked Clyde for how he was smart, caring, supportive and fun to be around. Clyde liked Lynn for how she was tough and lively which made her fun to be around too.

Overtime, Lynn became more considerate and compassionate towards others mainly due to how others showed compassion and consideration towards her. Clyde was one of the biggest people who influenced her to be a better person and for that he soon became one of her favorite people. She supported him as much as he supported her and many others. She also didn't hesitate to defend him when someone insulted or bullied him or something like that.

Clyde had also done some growing up. The biggest example being him overcoming his unhealthy obsession with Lori and accepting that it was nothing more than an absurd delusion. Despite feeling like a stupid idiot for not realizing it sooner, Lori had assured him that she always saw him as a close friend and honorary family member and that he still deserved someone. He managed to become genuinely happy for Lori and Bobby being together and even forged a brotherly bond with Bobby like Lincoln did. He also improved as a person with help from Lynn. While she had no problem defending him, she knew she couldn't always be there to do it so she helped him get a little tougher so that he was capable of defending himself when she wasn't around.

While they had some disputes now and then, their relationship had essentially gone nowhere but uphill. Eventually, Lynn realized she developed a crush on him and it was different than her love interests before. This time she was sure it was real and that she now wanted to be in a relationship. She made the first move and asked Clyde out. Despite being caught off guard by it, he knew he had grown so fond of her since they grew close and accepted with glee. They happily dated for a while to the point where they officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. While their friends and families thought that they were an unlikely pair, they saw how happy they were together and were nothing but supportive. There was only about a one-and-a-half year age difference between them after all. Sometimes Clyde and Lynn went on dates with Lincoln and Ronnie Anne, Bobby and Lori, and the other Loud sisters and their significant others.

By the time they were both in high school, they found each other more attractive. Lynn had become a very beautiful fit young woman in Clyde's eyes while Clyde turned out to be a rather tall, handsome young man to her. When Lynn got to college, she joined a girl's baseball team while still finding the time to see Clyde when she could. When Clyde joined her at college, he enrolled in a computer program and the couple were able to afford a small apartment and moved in together. With Clyde having a good paying job as a web designer and being good at taxes, they didn't really have any financial struggles. They were certain that they were in love and wanted to be together.

Right now, Lynn had returned to their home after a long, exhausting baseball game. It was getting to the end of the season for the league her team was in and the game her team was playing would determine who'd be in the league championship. The game had gone on for longer than nine innings as games sometimes do. Clyde was there to cheer Lynn on, but when it started to get late in the evening, Lynn told him he could go home if he wanted while she finished the game. Clyde agreed because it'd give him time to plan out the rest of the evening for them. The game eventually ended and Lynn's team lost and therefore was done for the season, but she was fine with it. She'd gotten better at accepting defeat over the years and since her team hadn't been doing so well during the season and that it'd been pretty hot and humid during the game, she was actually glad to be done with sports for a while.

"Welcome home, baby," Clyde greeted her teasingly yet affectionately as he held her. "You ready to take a load off?"

Lynn stood for a moment just feeling relieved to be in her boyfriend's arms. "God, do I ever," she sighed.

He led her inside where there was a bunch of takeout from Gus' Games and Grub on the kitchen counter. The college they attended and lived near wasn't that far from Royal Woods and Gus' had started a local restaurant chain over the years with one of the places being established close to them.

"Got us some subs and pizza," said Clyde. "And I found some action comedies on the new streaming service we haven't seen yet."

Lynn smiled. "You're the man, sweetie," she replied wearily. Clyde guided her to the bathroom.

"Have yourself a nice cold shower. I'll get things set up."

Lynn entered the bathroom and turned on the shower. She took off her dirty clothes and undid her ponytail. The water pouring down on her and washing off her sweat never felt so good. Soon she was refreshed and clean and went to the bedroom. She changed into some red sleeping shorts and a white sleeveless crop top. She also left her hair undone. She then rejoined Clyde in their living room where he laid out their dinner on the coffee table and turned on the TV. He wore a blue t-shirt and gray shorts. Lynn dropped down next to him on the couch and leaned against him letting out a huge sigh. She finally felt relaxed again.

Clyde put his arm around her and kissed the side of her head. "You're a strong woman to make it through today. For that, it's my duty to make sure you're in paradise."

Lynn chuckled in amusement. "You're such a dork with how much of a devoted boyfriend you are to me." She then spoke with a sincere tone. "But you know I appreciate it a lot. I'd do the same to you."

They shared a kiss before they turned their attention to the TV and began eating. The food and soda that Clyde had gathered satisfied Lynn's hunger and thirst with ease. After finishing their dinner, they sat back on the couch and continued checking out the new action comedy movies they found. Both liked the genre and made it a hobby of theirs to check out any they could find to see how much they liked or disliked them. Some they thought were really entertaining, some they thought were terrible, some they thought were so bad that they were good. Whatever they thought of them, they always enjoyed seeing what they thought of them. And they'd recently subscribed to a new streaming service that had some that were new to them.

As they sat on the couch, Lynn rested her head on Clyde's shoulder and wrapped her arms around his torso while he put his arm around her and softly stroked her hair that was soft after being washed. Lynn hadn't always been the biggest fan of romance but she'd grown to love it when they shared moments like this. She also didn't care much for beauty but she always managed to stay in shape over the years which was enough to make her very beautiful to Clyde. She also found him really handsome as he got older as well. She felt so relaxed sitting there with him that she soon felt a little tired and laid her head down on his lap as he continued to pet her hair. He even gave her a little massage to make her even more relaxed. As Lynn felt her man touch her soothingly on her back and shoulders, she thought about how dedicated he was to making her feel good. He made her happier than she's ever been. She wanted to show her love for him in return.

Clyde saw that his woman seemed to be getting a little tired. They initially planned to watch another movie as the night was still a little young, but he figured she wasn't able to stay awake for another.

"Might wanna get you to bed when this is over," he said.

Lynn got up from his lap. "I'm not down yet," she replied with a little smugness. "Maybe we won't sit through another laughable explosion show, but I think we should still have some more fun."

Clyde grew curious. "Whaddaya have in mind?" he asked.

Lynn smirked and leaned closer to him. She put her arm around his shoulder and rubbed her hand on his chest. "Something that'll help both of us really feel relaxed," she said. "You know I like to think of it as a sport where everyone's a winner. So whaddaya say, sweetie? I'm game if you are."

She leaned her head against his still giving him her sly look. Clyde blushed hard. He couldn't say no to her. He wanted to get romantic too.

He returned the smirk. "I am so game, beautiful."

They kissed each other deeply as he wrapped his around her completely. Lynn moved onto his lap and stuck her tongue into his mouth. He did the same with his tongue in her mouth. Clyde fell on the couch with Lynn on top of him, their lips still connected and their tongues still dominating each other.

After a little while of making out, Clyde started speaking between kisses. "Should we... take this... to the bed?"

Lynn stopped and looked him in the eye. "If you're more comfortable there," she panted.

She got off of him and he sat up. They saw the movie was now over and they missed the ending while they started their love fest. They figured they'd watch it again tomorrow as well as clean up the trash on the table. Right now, they were too into each other to care about anything else. Clyde turned off the TV and managed to pick up Lynn bridal style. She was impressed by his act of strength and kissed his neck as he carried her to their bedroom. He set her down on the bed and climbed on top of her.

"Okay, pretty girl," he teased. "Time to unwind in the best way possible."

"Let's go, champ!" she replied with desperation.

They engaged in another passionate kiss and resumed their makeout session. They secured their arms tightly around their bodies and stroked each other's backs and hair. Clyde started kissing Lynn's neck causing her to moan in pleasure as she ran her fingers through his hair.

"Ohhhh... Clyde... so playful~"

She brought his face back up to hers so she could kiss him again. She then rolled them over on the bed so she was now on top of him. Then she leaned down and started kissing and caressing his face.

"You like that?" Lynn whispered.

"Very much…" Clyde whispered back.

Clyde relished in the sensation she was giving him. He soon decided to take control and they rolled again. He got on top of her and pinned her down.

"My turn, baby," he said smugly.

"Give it all you got, handsome," Lynn said excitedly.

He pulled her close and kissed her again all over her face and neck. Lynn continued to moan, which was music to Clyde's ears. His glasses started to slip off and Lynn reached up and kept them in place.

"Try to keep them on," she told him while panting. "You know you're cuter with them on."

Clyde smiled and leaned down to kiss her once more. He also rubbed her body some more. Lynn kept her arms around him as he kept going.

"Yes, Clyde!" Lynn said with passion.

Clyde kept on moving as hard as he could as she held onto him. They connected their lips once again for one more good moment before finally separating and laying down to catch their breath. They've made out before, but this might've been their best time yet.

Clyde and Lynn soon got up to brush their teeth and use the bathroom before they turned in for the night. They went back on the bed and put the covers over them. The lovers snuggled close to each other feeling extremely happy.

"You're the perfect boyfriend, Clyde," Lynn said softly. "I love you so much."

"Anything for you, Lynn," he replied sweetly. "I love you too."

"I may have lost the season, but being with you has made me a winner already."

Clyde smiled and blushed. "We'll have plenty of time to do things together for the rest of the summer."

"You said it," she said before they shared one more loving kiss.

And so, they fell asleep in each other's arms for the night. And they both knew that sometimes after a hard time, the best way to unwind from it is to just have someone to love.

I came up with a little backstory that would provide a plausible evolution of their relationship from friends to a couple. I'm basically creating my own headcanon timeline with this series.
