Touma sprinted through the city. Not only had the traffic going into District 3 been cut off, but the traffic going into the districts around it had been as well. All traffic in those Districts were moving away from the district and the public transport was being used to evacuate people, meaning none of that was going in either.

Touma suspected someone was trying to stop him from getting to the battle, but he didn't have any proof.

At that moment, a certain girl with flowers on her head in a high-end apartment in District 7 sneezed.

"Oh, someone must be talking about me."

Touma didn't give it much thought and, instead, made his way through towards District 3 on foot. He ran through District 4 until he finally came across a line of Anti-skill officers blocking the road and preventing anyone from getting through. Had this been two years ago, he would have had to come up with some elaborate method involving getting his hands on a parachute, scaling one of the buildings and parachuting down past the Anti-skill blockade without being caught. Nowadays, things were a lot easier.

He walked up to the closest Anti-skill officer and showed him his ID, however, he didn't need to. The officer he had walked up to was a PE teacher at his school named Aiho Yomikawa.

"Hello Kamjou." she greeted as the boy approached her showing his ID.

"Hi Miss Yomikawa, mind if I get through? I'm helping with the invaders spotted in District 3."

Yomikawa had grown accustomed to Accelerator and Kamijou's penchant for finding trouble and was well aware of their abilities and that they would most likely get through anything that was thrown at them. With everything they had been through and with the fact that they both had such massive roles in the current version of Academy City, she had no choice but to view them as adults. With that in mind, Touma expected Yomikawa to let him by with a quick 'be careful' that he would forget almost immediately, but instead,

"Sorry, Kamijou. I can't let you past."

"Huh?"

"I've been told the invaders are using weapons. They don't appear to have any esper abilities or any of that 'magic' you lot talk about so much."

Touma gave the woman a confused look after she said that.

"What? You think I don't listen to you guys when you talk about that stuff? You lot need to be more aware of your surroundings when you talk about all that." she scolded.

"Fine, fine." Touma said wanting to get the scolding over with. "What about Mikoto and Shirai? They made their way here earlier."

"We've had reports that Misaka has taken down Therestina and Shirai was injured but managed to take down two more of the invaders. The sisters were able to take down three more, but there have been reports of one more. There're also three students that were confirmed to be in District 3 that are currently unaccounted for. We've got teams searching for them now."

"Shit. Does Accelerator know?"

"We believe so. The sisters do so we can assume Worst or Last Order have already told him."

"Good." Touma said before turning around and walking away.

"Where are you going?" Yomikawa called after him.

"To find a parachute." Touma said, looking over his shoulder at the teacher. But when he did, he saw a man in his forties with short, curly black hair wearing a green militaristic looking uniform with his hand raised and not a shred of emotion showing on his face. The air seemed to ripple around the man's hand and Touma moved immediately, throwing Yomikawa to the side and raising his right hand.

A spear of air shot out of the hand towards Touma, but it shattered with the sound of breaking glass when it made contact with Imagine Breaker. The man looked as if he hadn't even noticed his attack get destroyed and simply fired another spear of air at him which met the same fate as his previous one.

He tried firing two in a row, but once again Touma was easily able to destroy those with is right hand as well. The man's expression didn't seem to change from its blank look. There didn't seem to be any emotion whatsoever, no happiness, no sadness, no anger, no confusion, nothing. It just looked… wrong.

The Anti-skill officer around the man finally acted and raised their weapons towards him.

"Put your hands up and come quietly or we will have no choice but to use force!" warned Yomikawa. If she was facing a child right now, she would have never aimed her weapon at them, but this man was definitely not a child.

The man didn't even look at her, he just fired three more spears at Touma, which were, again, ineffective. Seeing that he wasn't responding, Yomikawa sighed.

"One day that will work. I just know it." she muttered under her breath.

The man seemed to finally realise that his attacks weren't working and was about to try something else when a bullet slammed into his shoulder. The impact forced him to spin a quarter turn, but he simply turned back as if nothing happened and fired another spear. It wasn't as if the bullet had bounced off or hadn't affected his body at all. There was clearly a bullet wound there as shown by the blood coming from the wound, but the man didn't seem to realise it was there. He didn't acknowledge it.

"What the hell?" Yomikawa muttered. She fired another shot into the man's shoulder with the same result.

"Get back." Touma ordered. "He's an esper. This is my specialty."

"An esper? But he's an adult. How could he have an esper ability? Is he an Uncut Gem?"

"I don't know. But he doesn't appear to have any other weapons, so let me handle this."

Touma charged the man head on without letting Yomikawa answer, destroying the spears that were now aimed at different parts of his body, such as his shoulders or legs. He made it about halfway before the man changed tactics again. He used the air under his feet to fire himself towards Touma and swung his fist down towards the boy's face. Touma for his part, stepped to the side and swung his own fist into the man's face. The man tumbled back about a meter and sprang back to his feet. Once again, he seemed completely unfazed by the damage.

"Not good."

The man crouched down and started running keeping his body low to the ground and with his hands spread out. About a dozen spears formed on each side of the man and flew towards Touma from two different angles and would meet at the point he was standing. Touma, knowing increasing the distance would give his opponent the advantage, stepped forward to avoid the spears that kept forming next to the man and were being shot at him.

He didn't know if the man was surprised or not, but he didn't appear to have considered that action and was too slow to react. He received a kick to his face for his troubles.

The man tumbled back a few meters but was back up almost immediately. As soon as he looked up, he was greeted with a woman's left fist slamming into his nose, throwing him back to the ground.

Yomikawa had seen enough of that boy taking on this threat on his own and had decided she wasn't going to sit on the side lines any longer. She knew stopping him from fighting was unrealistic, and probably impossible, so she instead decided to fight alongside her student. She had seen the face he was wearing so many times before, both on him, and on Accelerator and she knew what it meant, meaning this was the best way to protect him.

"Miss Yomikawa?"

"You might be an Honorary Board Member, but you're still a student. I'd be pretty bad at my job if I just let you fight alone. We all would."

Touma looked around him and found the other Anti-skill officers back in formation, all of them aimed at the esper Touma was facing. Touma grinned.

"Been a while since I teamed up with Anti-skill. Alright let's do this."

The man finally seemed to notice the Anti-skill officers and took action. Something seemed to flood into his body and his eyes turned jet black. Wind started to pick up around him, getting stronger and stronger until it was like a tornado with the man in a safe spot in the centre of it all. The wind was so strong, it was able to take the bullets fired at it and add them to the chaos that was the tornado.

'He's gotten stronger.' Touma thought as he and the Anti-skill officers around him struggled to stay on their feet.

"Miss Yomikawa! I need to get in there and destroy that tornado!" Touma had to shout to be heard over the wind, even though Yomikawa was right next to him.

"And how do you plan on doing that?!"

"Any chance you could throw me?!"

"How strong do you think I am?! Of course not!"

"Damn! Oh well! Time for plan B!" Touma shouted before running headfirst into the tornado.

He didn't get very far in before the wind that was the result of the esper ability picked him up and started throwing him around. But that actually helped Touma in this case, as it pulled him in closer to the centre. The speed of the wind caused a number of small cuts to appear throughout his body, but he was now close enough to the wind being directly controlled by the esper ability that he just had to reach out with his right hand and the tornado would fall apart.

He reached out and heard the sound of breaking glass as the tornado fell apart. He wasn't in the tornado for too long, so the cuts and bruises through his body could be treated with some simple first aid. The problem was that he was now about ten meters off the ground and falling. If he landed from here, he would be facing another lengthy trip to the hospital and another three-hour lecture by Mikoto about the importance of not doing stupid stuff like running into the middle of a tornado, even if it was to negate an esper ability.

However, before he could land and break every bone in whichever area of his body he landed on, the man, seemingly ignorant that Touma was there anymore, activated his esper ability again and started trying to recreate his tornado. However, with Touma above him, he was able to negate it before it became too strong. It did, however, slow Touma down enough to make a hard but safe landing.

The Anti-skill officers didn't waste any time and began firing at the man again. He retaliated by creating dozens of spears of air and firing them at Anti-skill. The men and women under attack dived for cover, but not all of them were fast enough and were stabbed with the spears. Some were hit on their shoulders or legs and were able to crawl their way into cover, whilst others received more serious wounds and were dragged to cover by their comrades.

It was a miracle no-one had been killed immediately, but some had taken wounds that would be fatal if they weren't taken to the hospital as soon as possible.

The man was about to unleash another attack top finish them off when a certain right fist slammed into the side of his face.

Touma didn't give him a chance to recover, grabbing onto him with a choke hold and keeping his right hand pressed against his neck. There was something not right about this man, no matter how much damage they inflicted, he seemed completely unfazed by it. However, he didn't appear to have any more strength than an average man, so if they were able to restrain him, they might have a chance. Touma would need to help bring him to a cell so that he could stop the man from using his ability to break free, but they could do it.

"Miss Yomikawa! I need handcuffs to restrain him!"

Yomikawa sprinted towards the man taking a pair of handcuffs from her belt. She grabbed the man's wrists and ordered Touma to release the hold which he did, but kept his right hand pressed against the man's neck. Before he could exercise his new freedom, Yomikawa wrenched the man's wrists behind his back and handcuffed them together.

Several other Anti-skill officers came in to restrain the man as well, making sure he couldn't move and another duct taped Touma's right hand to the man, to keep his powers sealed, allowing Touma to finally relax.

Touma breathed a sigh of relief.

"Phew, I don't need to go to hospital, meaning Mikoto won't get angry at me for getting myself hurt. That's two fights in a row now, hopefully I can keep that streak up."

"The fact that you're proud of a two-time streak is really quite concerning, Kamijou. Perhaps Miss Komoe hasn't been hard enough on you. I'm sure she'd fix that if I told her about how proud you are of this streak." threatened Yomikawa.

Touma gulped.

"Please don't tell her." he pleaded.

Touma was about to stand up so they could take this man to a prison cell when he noticed a group of about eleven adults walking towards them. He didn't recognise the woman at the front, but he definitely recognised the ten behind her. He had seen them before in a list of prisoners kept in a secret underground prison to hold people like them, and he knew how dangerous these people were.

They were Kiharas.

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good week. This chapter was Touma's turn to fight and I gave him a little help from Anti-skill. To be honest, I didn't have much of a reason to include Anti-skill in the fight. I just figured I'd give Touma their help this time.

I also brought up Uncut Gems this chapter. This is just the Yen on translation of Gemstones. I was jumping between using Gemstones or Uncut Gems as Gemstones is by far the more popular term and the more recognisable one, I thought maybe people wouldn't understand I was talking about them if I used Uncut Gems. But, on the other hand, I've used the Yen on terminology throughout my works so far and I just like the term Uncut Gems more than Gemstones, I can't really explain why, but I do, so in the end I decided to stick with Uncut Gems, I hope you'll forgive me.

Finally, some of the Kiharas have turned up. I decided not to talk about their appearances because I want a little bit of freedom later on in the story when I start to properly use them. This also wasn't all of the Kiharas kept in that prison but I probably won't touch much on the ones still in there for now.

Now, for the comments,

GG Vegito: Not quite next time, but I will get to who they are and what their motivations are soon. I want to release the information slowly so that I don't just dump the information all at once.

SaSaltyDog: I'm always happy to see people excited for my stories, I hope you liked this chapter as well.

And that's everything for this week. I hope you all enjoyed that chapter and I'll have the next one up next week. Until then, I hope you all have a good week. Bye.
