The Calm Before The Storm

Dark cold and alone, that's what she felt aboard a ship filled with ruffians and outlaws. The type of people she once showed such disdain were now who she needed to trust to watch her back and keep her alive, funny how things turn out she never thought she'd join their ranks believing her situation would get better with time somehow in someway. Sadly no amount of believing and wishing would change the truth, times were tough people like her didn't get to live easy. Violent, crazy, mental, weird, different, psychotic, unhinged, dangerous she's heard it all over and over again like a constant ringing in her ear, and everytime her only defense was she didn't want to be like this on numerous occasions she attempted to be a model citizen but none of it mattered, it wasn't for her to decide what defined her. She could see it in their eyes, hear it in their voice, feel it on their skin, in their body language the weariness, the distrust, ..the fear, being accepted was never in the cards the more she tried the more aggressive they became. Survival instincts they call it, a feeling, a warning your body sends you when a potential threat is present especially loud if it was a threat you didn't know you could handle.

"The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown." - H.P Lovecraft

A quote from a time long past, one she stumbled upon when she was a little girl spreading her wings. That was all she was all they saw, to them she was an unknown entity one that had to be a faunus's child after all no human could have teeth like serrated knives, hair naturally black at the roots while red at the tips, or eyes that seemed to glow as bright as the moon and burn themselves in your mind. No human children didn't-couldn't have traits like that but she couldn't enjoy the embrace of being a faunus either after all even a faunus child acts like a child she was something else entirely, she was too smart, too interested, too aware everything about her was abnormal. People can only take so much before they snap, when they finally came for her fully intent on snuffing out her light she ended them, now here she was a wanted woman surrounded by people who'd sell her out in a heartbeat it was only a matter of time, she would have to work around build up some favors get in good while sh-

"What are you doing?" someone whispered in her ear. She did not scream nor did she jump out of her seat she would deny anyone who said otherwise.

"Yang! Don't sneak up on me like that aren't you supposed to be with your friends how did you even know I was here?" Ruby huffed as she put on her best glare which much to her disappointment proved ineffective as Yang scooped her up in a bear hug smiling.

"And leave my cute little sister to fend for herself no way besides you were so in your little daydream you didn't even hear me calling you." Yang said as she weakened her grip so Ruby could breathe but refusing to put her down.

"That still doesn't answer my question and let me go before you smother me again.

"I'm your big sister Ruby I know where you are at all times and I also get big sis privileges holding you just so happens to be one of them." Yang said looking down at Ruby still struggling to get away while her face was almost motorboating Yang's boobs. "You know you should be happy most guys would kill to be in your position right now Rubes." Yang said as she wiggled her eyebrows.

Ruby pouted up at her sister while she thought of a way out of her current predicament. Her eyes widened as she got an idea, her confidence returning she smiled up at yang showing all her serrated teeth her face full of malicious intent. "If you don't let me go I'll bite you." She said as she angled her head mouth parted and teeth delicately pressing against her sisters skin to show she meant business.

Ruby expected her sister to let go immediately fearing any damage to her assets she took so much pride in, what she didn't expect was her sister to lean down to whisper in her ear while gently squeezing her closer pressing her mouth harder onto her breast. "Do that and I might have to keep you there permanently~" Yang whispered her voice going husky.

Ruby's face felt like it was on fire from the response resigning to her fate she buried her face in Yang's cleavage to hide her embarrassment as Yang laughed.

While basking in her victory Yang adjusted Ruby in her grip grabbing Ruby's thigh and butt causing her to release a squeak and wrap her legs tight around Yang's hips and press herself deeper into her sister in embarrassment. Yang couldn't help the blush spreading across her face as she felt Ruby press so tightly against her, shaking her head she moved to a relatively secluded part of the ship before taking a seat with her sister in her lap. Once she was comfortable she laid her head atop her sister's both of them enjoying each other's warmth.

Yang felt more than heard Ruby's breath calm and even out signaling that she had fallen asleep, it didn't surprise her considering her sister had been unable to sleep the day before because she was simply too excited for today being able to not only go to the school of her dreams but also be in the same year as herself. Ruby's excitement was unable to be contained in more ways than one, Yang blushed before she began Scowling as she remembered the events of last night.

Flashback

Yang firmly believed she must have been horrifyingly cruel to puppies in a past life because it didn't make since for the world to be this damn testing she just couldn't catch a break. First she finds out the woman she thought was her mom wasn't her mom and her real mom abandoned her, then the woman she considered her mom dies leaving her and her sister with her dad who after her death turned into a deadbeat drunk who couldn't take care of himself let alone two children, Causing her to become the responsible one and take care of both him and her little sister, something she still resents him for especially considering Ruby disappeared three years ago which absolutely destroyed her because Ruby was her sole reason to keep living to keep moving forward because she had to take care of and protect her sweet little sister the one constant in her life, the person she loved most in this world. That pain still hasn't faded she keeps telling herself she needed to stop thinking about it because it always made her spiral but she just couldn't she couldn't forgive him none of them and she most certainly wouldn't forget just remembering what happened makes her want to explode.

Ruby was with her dad at home because she had to go on an errand but when she came back the front of her house was in shambles wood was splintered, toys were damaged or broken one even had blood on it, the dirt was scuffed and wild as if a fight happened and blood was splattered across the broken doorway. She had run into the house screaming out Ruby's name praying she was ok only to find the house a mess she combed the house checking all of the hiding places hoping to Oum Ruby managed to hide but all she found was her dad beaten unconscious next to three guys two of which were no longer breathing. As she looked at her dad she didn't feel worry or sadness at his state he was a hunter a slayer of grimm a hunter who should have been able to handle a group of thugs a hunter who should be able to protect his God damn daughter she wasn't concerned she was incensed at his weakness how he had let himself deteriorate so much he couldn't protect his children, full of panick that Ruby was no where to be found and absolutely murderous because someone dared to endanger her rose that was the first time she completely let go everything bled red and she lost control she remembers following the blood that led from the house she remembers the bodies she didn't remember if she had killed them or something else but she remembers being covered in blood and not finding Ruby, she would have burned the forest to the ground searching if she wasn't knocked out (by uncle Qrow she found out later).

Four years she was without her sister those four years were the worst of her life, she became self destructive she didn't care about her or anyone else's well-being just hunting always hunting, searching for any signs of Ruby the search for her real mom didn't even cross her mind during that and little after. The search finally ended last year not because she found Ruby but because Ruby found her, she had got a call from Junior an owner of a bar in Vale and an information broker she had hit up often, literally she had a reputation for destroying his bar and beating up him and his goons if she felt he was holding out information. He told her someone was asking for her by name with a vague description of her, she wouldn't have cared till he told her it was a girl who couldn't be older than fifteen by the sound of her voice and small build, the only trait he could see of hers because she was covered from head to toe in a hood and mask were her silver eyes. Yang was at his bar within the hour demanding everything on the girl, she didn't have to wait long before she got to meet her herself.

When Yang saw those watery silver eyes, saw those red tips, and precious sharklike smile she broke down, when she heard her name fall from those lips in that sweet voice of the person she held so dear she didn't wast anytime grabbing Ruby and holding her for dear life as they cried in each other's arms.

And then the world had to fuck with her one more time, not two weeks after finally getting her sister back and doing their damnedest to make up for lost time refusing to leave each others sides her body decided it was ready to make babies and guess who it wanted no demanded to make babies with, Ruby fucking Rose her little sister. Yang knew she wasn't always the most rational person, she knew she had a temper, she knew she was extremely impulsive she wouldn't deny it nor would she change who she was. She wouldn't hide the fact she felt, said and still feels that all she needed in life was Ruby for her to be happy but she didn't mean need in that way she could most certainly live without feeling a need to jump her sister's bones every chance she could, she could live without the random impulses to explore her sister.

Yang Xiao Long was a strong willed woman but she found herself losing more of her grip on herself the longer she's with Ruby, and because the universe just loves her she was blessed and cursed with her sister basically being an extremely excitable, affectionate, overgrown puppy. Day after day (to some fault of her own because she still refused to separate herself from or deny Ruby any love and affection come what may) she was subject to constant physical affection, they spent so much time touching, cuddling, and rough housing that she's slipped more than a few times. She'd often let her hands wonder trying to find where her sister is most sensitive finding pleasure in her reactions and noises, drowning herself in her smell that never fails to calm her or in more recent cases get her hot and bothered, and when they rough house she's reached completion more than once on her sister as their sweaty bodies wrestled grabbing each other trying to get the upper hand trying to make the other submit, the friction she could achieve filled her with such ecstasy on more than one occasion she had grinded her sister to her finish once Ruby was pinned or had managed to pin her often leading to her own defeat as she robbed her body of it's energy enough that Ruby could turn the tables or solidify her victory.

She felt disgusted with herself but she couldn't help it, she was fighting a losing battle and Ruby she made it so easy, she trusted Yang completely loved her unconditionally always wanted to be as close as possible when they cuddled kept her habit of biting her from when she was a baby, always filled with energy even when they were watching a movie moving in Yang's lap, when she slept she preferred skin on skin contact Yang almost always woke to Ruby's hands under her clothes and their legs tangled together. The worst part was how warm Ruby was where she was a furnace Ruby was a fire, pleasant and soft but able to burn should you get too close or she get out of control and Yang couldn't get enough because Yang's body was always hot so everything not a blazing inferno or scalding water felt cold to her but not Ruby and she was addicting.

Yang was going mad everytime she looked at Ruby she would be compelled to hold her, to be her main focus, to drown in her and be connected in the most intimate way possible even now as Ruby bounced excitedly regaling her with how cooler her fierce battle against Roman would have been if her scythe had a flamethrower all Yang could think about was how much she wanted Ruby body and soul how cute she was in her excitement how happy she felt that they wouldn't be separated, relieved she wouldn't have to get in trouble for smuggling Ruby into beacon (Not that she planned on getting caught but it would be found out eventually, not till her third year of course if she played her cards right.).

*ping*

Yang snapped out of her daze as Ruby checked her scroll to see what set it off, she was silent for a second before typing something and putting her scroll away. Ruby was about to start talking again until she got another message, fishing out her scroll again she shot message back only to get a response seconds later here Yang bore witness to Ruby's focus mode usually reserved for when she worked on her scythe, studying, or trying to beat a video game; Yang found it very cute and distracting the way her tongue stuck out the corner of her lips as she tried to focus.

Ruby was like this for a minute before her scroll began pinging much more frequently which confused Yang considering they didn't give her a chance to respond often in fact her getting text messages in general or for this long was suspicious as her sister didn't have many friends (More for her). Yang being the subtle person she is came up behind Ruby and leaned onto her slowly increasing her weight against Ruby as she look at who was texting her sister.

"oof...Yang get off" Ruby said as she struggled to against yang grip and weight.

"Nope not till I find out what you got going on over here who are you te-"

Melanie: I expect a call once you get your dorms I have a special surprise I've been waiting to give you It'll be just us a celebration for getting accepted into beacon look forward to it~.

Militia: I will be there too you're not hogging her this time Mel.

Melanie: I don't know Militia you sure your up for it what I have planned is rather rigorous I don't think you can keep up, you can cover my shift for that night I plan on keeping Ruby company till the next night shift.

Militia: You should worry about yourself Mel we both know how you get I doubt you have the stamina for it she practically carries you as it is I wouldn't want her doing all the work.

Melanie: THAT WAS ONE TIME she surprised me and like your any better once that 'liquid courage' wears off you won't be able to leave the bathroom for hours I can see you from over here having fun Mil excited?

Ruby: Girls I'd rather you both be there then we can have fun together whatever you both have planned I'll love it.

Melanie: Fine but I call dibs first round! Bye Ruby dont forget to call and if someone gives you trouble call me I'll get it takin care of don't keep me waiting ;)

Militia: You cant call dibs thats not fair! Bye Ruby stay safe I'll come pick you up alright make sure you clear up your schedule because we're not letting you go~.

"Yaaaaaang." Ruby whined as she continued to struggle, her voice knocking Yang back to her senses as she released Ruby and properly stood back up with an awkward smile on her face.

"Hehe sorry Ruby I was a little shocked who were those girls you were texting." Yang asked as innocently as she could.

"That was Melanie and Militia we were talking about celebrating my acceptance to beacon once I actually get accepted." Ruby said fixing her messy hair.

"mmm and where did you meet them." Yang said her eyes analysing Ruby's body language checking for lies.

"uh at the bar?" Ruby said giving Yang a confused look.

"Which bar, wait when did you go to a bar without me?" Yang asked in surprise.

Ruby stared at Yang for a second before smiling "You don't remember them do you? The twins at juniors bar those are their names." Recognition dawned on Yang face.

"THEM? I never got around to learning their names but they hate us or apparently hate me why are they so chummy with you Ruby?"

"Well for one Yang I don't cause trouble where they work in fact I'm the main reason you haven't got into any bar fights for the past few months." Ruby said with a giggle as Yang grumbled.

"If you actually talked to them instead of fighting them you'd see they are really nice, they like to keep me company while you get drinks and bother Junior they even bring me cookies and other sweets. They had put their numbers in my scroll when I had fell asleep one time since then we started talking or texting alot when we're free it's been really fun." Ruby said a soft look crossing her face as she fiddled with the phone. "Now I have plans to meet up with them after everything so we can celebrate."

Yang took a look at Ruby before wrapping her in a hug a smile on her face "I'm glad you made some good friends Ruby." Ruby simply hugged her back burying her face into her sister trembling every so often as she silently cried.

Flashback end

Yang's chest and neck still has the bite marks Ruby left behind and as high as she feels about that she can't get the happiness Ruby felt finally finding friends who care for her out of her head, her sister has been hurting and it pains her that this was a problem she couldn't fix on her own and despite how she may feel about them the twins are making her sister happy and that's what matters hopefully beacon had people as open minded as them.

It would be another hour before the transport finished picking up the rest of the students, surprisingly Yang noticed the ship wasn't really crowded there were many more students aboard now but plenty of breathing room remained. Beacon wasn't one of the best schools for nothing only those with potential get accepted fewer still manage to stay, looking down at Ruby she realized she would have to take this alot more serious than she originally planned.

mumble* *squeeze*

Buuut that can wait they weren't at beacon yet and she was already otherwise engaged, pulling her sister tighter against herself she laid her head atop Ruby's once more and closed her eyes.

*Urk bleh*

Had her sister not been in her lap the blonde boy stumbling passed toward the trash can would not have made it off the ship, taking a deep breath she got up and walked to the bathroom with her sister clinging to her like a baby koala hopefully it wouldn't be to difficult cleaning the vomit off her shoe.
