Authors note: Well that last chapter got pretty dark. Here's the aftermath. (ps. I'm going to say Padawan instead of apprentice now since it sounds more fitting despite Anakin still technically being a youngling.)

Obi wan stood behind Anakin. There was a great pain coming from his Padawan, although it was powerful only he could really feel it due to their close connection. Anakin kneeled on the ground with rivers of tears escaping from his watery eyes.

Obi-Wan kneeled next to him and embraced him Although he knew it wasn't the Jedi way. He remained silent for a long minute before asking, "Whats wrong?"

Anakin didn't reply.

"Anakin, I need to know what is wrong so I can help you." Obi wan pleaded

"It's nothing. I just had another bad vision." Anakin hesitantly replied, before getting to his feet and hastily walking away

Obi-wan POV

Somethings wrong. He's had bad visions but he's never gone into such a state before. Could it be related to his mysterious power from earlier? He decided he would continue to investigate ad at night he would attempt to go into his mind. He had no time just then, and he didn't want to invade whilst his Padawan was in such a state, but at night he should be able to get in

Anakin POV

He knew he messed up and now Obi-wan was definitely on his tail.

"Obi-wan is going to be suspicious, and he may even attempt to access my mind when I'm least inspecting it. I'll have to keep by shield uo overnight which hopefully shouldn't be an issue.

Anakin was forced to go to bed along with the other younglings which was at a very early time (the equivalent of about 6pm our time) which in the original timeline greatly annoyed Anakin as he felt it as a waste of time, but the Jedi masters would go on about how it makes you more attuned with force or something like that, however, now Anakin just wanted rest so he had no issues with sleeping early.

I must keep my shield up as I am most vulnerable when sleeping

Obi wan POV

Obi wan entered the youngling dorms in which he sensed that all 31 younglings were fast asleep. He quietly moved forward and approached Anakin's bed and reached his hand out. He stood there for a good 10 minutes without success

Why is it so hard? he surely isn't shielding himself- he's only a youngling so why can't I access his thoughts?

Anakin POV

Obi-wan is here and the shield is working.

As Vader he had mastered the art of sleeping whilst being aware of his surroundings in order to prevent any sort of assassination's attempts. He knew Obi-Wan was trying to breach his mind, but the shield was working so he wasn't complaining. In fact he could read Obi-wans mind and it was clear his master was very frustrated with his lack of progress in breaching his Padawan's mind.

Perhaps if i let him see a memory that isn't too revealing and looks like a vison, he may get of my tail.

Obi-Wan POV

A daunting figure dawning heavy black armor spoke in a heavy voice, "You should not have come back Kenobi"

The imaged then flashed to the old man identified as Kenobi being struck down and killed by this mysterious black figure

Obi-wan jamp back in quickly left the room

That's why he was so upset. he must have seen that vision of me being killed by a sith. That could have also provoqued his power in the lightsaber duel as he wants to be powerful enough to stop the sith from killing me.

A small tear dribbled down Obi-Wans face.

I didn't know Anakin cared for me that much

Anakin POV

Phew it worked. I missed out the bit about me mentioning being his learner so he shouldn't identify me as the sith but he now believes I had some sort of nightmare/vision. Hopefully that gets him and then the other Jedi of my tail. Although he may still be weary of my shielding techniques.

Anakin woke up along side the other younglings and headed to breakfast. The other younglings avoided him like the plague due to his scary power the day before, but that didn't bother Anakin.

I now know what limits I should use and I have seen most of the bad stuff I did in the temple, so hopefully nothing throws me of guard. I should be able to continue as normal

Mace Windu Entered the room.
