Authors note: The past few chapters have a few spelling errors which I will work to fix soon so sorry about that. In addition in case you were wondering where this story is going; This story is a mix of a school story which follows Anakin trying to fit in with all his extra knowledge and also a mystery/ action story which follows Obi-wan and the Jedi getting suspicious of Anakin whilst Anakin is planning on how to defeat Palpatine. Also remember I am inventing some rooms and people and some scenes which help for flashbacks.
"You must choose Anakin"
"He must stand trial"
"He's too dangerous to be left alive"
"Please don't"
"POWER"
"What have I done?"
"Henceforth you shall be known as Darth Vader"
Anakin looked up to the sight of the dark skinned Jedi Master who had just entered the room.
"Windu" Anakin whispered to himself
"What was that Skywalker?" Windu shot his head towards Anakin
"Erm, nothing master. Just talking to myself" Anakin was quick to respond whilst trying to avoid his attention
Windu was the one Jedi he had hated with a passion and if he wouldn't hesitate to kill him again, Albeit Palpatine was far worse so it would have to under different circumstances to last time as he wouldn't make the mistake of saving Palpatine again.
Windu spoke up with a firm voice, "Younglings, follow me to the room of wisdom"
The room of wisdom was essentially a lecture hall where students would listen to a Jedi master talk for a while and give "wisdom"
The students all followed the Master to the room of wisdom where they were greeted by master Yoda
"Welcome younglings." Master Yoda stated
The younglings all gave a small bow of respect to the green master and sat down.
"Talk today we will about the force and how it works around us. Talk also we will about the force after ended ones life has." Yoda announced
Anakin had already heard this lecture before but had forgotten most of it, so he was interested to see if anything the grand-master said was correct.
"Binds us, the force does. Binds the galaxy together, it does. Influences our actions it can also do." Yoda gave nearly unnoticeable glare at Anakin for a split second, but Anakin spotted it. During his days as Vader he had gotten proficient in spotting small details that no-one else spots.
The jedi master then continued to talk for a while about the force in general, but Anakin knew all of it anyways. However, as he started touching onto the cosmic force and death Anakin's eyes widened more.
"Once gone one is, their life force transfers to the cosmic force. Lose all sense of identity one does, but continues to bind the galaxy together their essence does." Yoda said
Anakin gave a small grin , as everything he had said was wrong. One can retain their identity after death and even interact with the living world directly.
Yoda picked up on Anakin's slight grin but said nothing of it. Yoda continued to talk a little but nothing that got Anakins attention.
Once Yoda's talk had finished the younglings all got up and prepared to move on to their next lesson, but Yoda intervened and spoke, "No more lessons there will be today"
This was recieved by a happy mumbling among the children. The jedi students all began filing out but anakin heard a voice in his head.
"Stay would you" The voice in his head appeared to be from Master Yoda
After the other students had left, Anakin approached the small master and innocently asked, "You wanted to see me master."
"Young skywalker, well are you?" Yoda asked
"Yes master, Im fine. Thank you" Anakin replied attempting to act inconspicuously
"Heard about the duel with Master Drallig I did. Impressive I must say" Yoda said
Anakin stood bewildered for a moment before responding, "Erm, thanks. But I didn't mean to. It just kind of happened."
"Control you the force can. Influence you actions it does. Powerful in the force you are, but be careful young one, for lead to the dark side it may lead." Yoda replied
"What do you mean it can lead to the dark side?" Anakin asked, already knowing the answer but wanting to see what yoda would say
"If consumed you are by power then fear you may have, to lose that power. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate and hate leads to suffering." Yoda answered
Anakin had heard that saying a thousand times, but it was true. He was so desperate for power to save Padme that he fell to the dark side
"I understand master. Thank you" Anakin said, wanting to get way from the master before he sensed anything was off about the child in front of him
"leave you may, but weary you must be of your power" Yoda added gravley
Anakin left he room.
Yoda POV
Strange this is. Powerful he seems, but in control he appears. Access his mind I could not, most disturbing this.
Obi-wan had told Master yoda privately about Anakin's vision but also his resistance to his mind invasion. Yoda had also attempted to access Anakin's mind without letting the child catch on but he couldn't. He had never seen this before- a youngling being able to resist a mind read. In fact he found it quite hard to send young skywalker the force message.
Discuss this with knight Kenobi I will.
Anakin POV
Anakin sighed as he left.
He must be getting suspicious. He tried to enter my mind. Obi wan must have told him about my vision. What do I need to do now?
Should i tell Obi wan the real reason I'm here? No, I can't. he can't know. It would break his heart. I'm going to have to wait and see what happens next. As master yoda said, what happened next will be the will of the force.
Younglings took their Jedi trials at age 13 and that was in just a few months. After that he would be able to go on missions and get closer to Obi-Wan, then he may be able to influence things.
Anakin went back to the dorm which contained the students in his clan (A clan is a group of younglings who have lessons together)
When he entered the other younglings all evaded his sight. He decided against staying as he didn't want to risk getting angry at being ignored by everyone. He left the room and headed to the meditation chambers. He felt he needed some more time to himself.
He sat on a cushion and closed his eyes.
"I know father"
"So, you have accepted the truth"
"I have accepted the truth that you were once Anakin Skywalker my father"
"That name no-longer has any meaning for me"
"It is the name of your true self. You have only forgotten"
Anakin gave a small smile. His son was right, he was Anakin Skywalker and darth Vader was dead. The thought of his son made him happy. if it weren't for luke he would still be a slave to the emperor. Now he was free. Free to save the galaxy.
"Anakin" a voice said
Anakin awoke from his meditation
"Master Qui-Gon" Anakin replied happily, "Why are you here?"
"I know you have returned from the future, and I have been shadowing you since you returned. I sensed your pain whilst walking around the temple and came to congratulate you for how far you have already come. Stay positive and you will be able to resist any dark thoughts. But be warned Sidious is still strong and only growing in power."
Anakin nodded his head gracefully but quickly rebutted with, "How do you know about Sidious. Your not the same Qui-gon from where i left. You shouldn't know about him. Also, how do you know I came from the future?"
"As one with the force i can observe the past, present and future as well as being able to navigate the galaxy. That is how i know about Sidious. However, i cannot directly communicate with people unless the force wills it. The force has allowed me to speak with you now. however, except in special circumstances such as with you I cannot directly influence peoples choices. That is why I haven't told the Jedi about Sidious. As for knowing about you; When you arrived I felt a disturbance in the force and knew it originated from you. I was able to access your mind and found out you came from the future and saw what happened. I am truly sorry for what happened"
"I failed you master. You had great hopes for me, and i failed. I turned to the dark side, I kil..." Anakin spoke sadly before being interrupted
"You didn't fail me. You were destined to destroy the sith and that is what you did. You have been sent back to destroy the sith again, but this time do it differently." Qui-Gon reassured him
"Should I tell anyone about what I know?" Anakin asked
"It is up to you to decide, but I am sure whatever you choose to do will be the right thing." Qui-Gon spoke softly
"Thank you master." Anakin said with a smile on his face
"May the force be with you" Qui-Gon added before his voice faded.
(Remember, that at this stage qui-gon couldn't physically reveal himself so it was just his voice)
Yoda POV
A disturbance in the force I feel. Coming from the meditation chambers it is.
Yoda hurried towards the meditation chambers and heard a voice say, "Thank you master"
