Authors note: Im not sure if star wars follows our clock, but I am going to assume they do for simplicities sake and to make it easier for you to follow and relate with.
Also, as previously mentioned the story is going to have a school feel, at least for the earlier chapters and then evolve to a more large scale thing, that is why I am using words like "dorm" as i want it to have a school like feel to begin with which allows us to follow Anakin and his return to his childhood as well as remind the reader that this isn't clone wars anakin, but a child. In addition, this fic is intended to somewhat explore Anakin's time as a youngling/Padawan at least to start. So enjoy, and don't be put of with words like "Dorm" , "student" ,"Cafeteria" and "Lessons" which don't feel very Jedi like, although I will mix these with Jedi sounding words like "Youngling" to help retain the star wars feel.
"Lord Vader." Palpatine spoke grimly
"Yes master" Vader replied obediently
"Have the inquisitors had any luck in the hunt for Master Yoda?" palpatine questioned
"No, My master. They have found nothing that indicates any sign him" Vader responded
"Then, my friend, for the time being we can assume the old fool is dead. I want you to go Lothal and eliminate the Jedi" Palpatine said
"Yes my master" Vader accepted his new assignment
YODA POV
Yoda entered the meditation chambers and felt a great peace in the room with a young skywalker positioned in the center. A powerful, yet hopeful atmosphere radiated from him.
The boy stood up with a tint of glee in his eyes.
"Spoke with someone did you?" Yoda asked
"I spoke with Master Qui-Gon." The boy replied
Yoda knew that was impossible, but it could have been another vision linked with his unusual show of power the day before.
"Tell you, what did he" Yoda questioned curiously
"He told me he was proud of how far I have come"
"Interesting that is. " yoda replied, now certain it was just a vision that was attempting to comfort Anakin.
Yoda was still a bit surprised as to the happiness that was present in the room but it was likely just that Anakin was happy to remember the man who found him.
"Back to your clan you should go" Yoda said
"Yes master" The boy replied
Anakin POV
Thankfully yoda hadn't questioned him further on the issue and believed it was just some sort of dream/vision.
He returned to the dorm and saw the other students preparing to go for dinner. He followed them to the Cafeteria and sat down. He ate his food very quickly.
Dani noticed this and said, "You seem happy,"
Anakin replied quickly, " I'm fine. Just had a good day"
Dani looked puzzled and replied, "Wasn't that interesting. Most of the lessons were cancelled."
Anakin responded, " I went to meditation and it was so peaceful"
Dani was even more puzzled now. "You hate meditating." Dani stated
"Master Yoda encouraged me to give it a go on my own, and it worked." Anakin tried to cover up his slip up. He forgot that he was well known for hating meditation
Dani turned his head, still a bit confused, and continued to eat.
Master Yoda entered the Cafeteria and his voice filled the room.
"Interesting, the coming days will be for some of you." Yoda announced
The younglings all looked at each other excitedly.
"Travel to Ilum you will, to receive your lightsaber crystals"
The shear mention of ilum and lightsaber caused the students to fill the room with excitement.
"Some of you, who have progressed the furthest will travel to Ilum."
The announcement that it was only for some of them was disappointing .
"Tomorrow, Go they will .They are skywalker, Bins, bena, feluni, and onzi. (all made up)
Bins and the other younglings involved were extremely excited, but Anakin was terrified. Ilum was known for giving you horrible visions and showing your greatest fears.
This is going to be hard
Anakin and the other students returned the dorm after diner and by around 6.30 pm all except Anakin were asleep. he gazed into the sky and pondered what the following days would bring.
Would Ilum tear down his shields and allow Yoda and the others to see his dark secrets.
Anakin and the other students woke up and went for breakfast before Anakin, Dani and the others going to Ilum were escorted to the temple hangars where they were met by Master yoda and Knight Kenobi
Oh sith I forgot he came on my trip to Ilum however, this was earlier than he remembered. Last time he went to Ilum just 2 weeks before his 13th Birthday. This time it was still 2 months away
The students boarded the Jedi shuttle which set of to hyperspace
Yoda POV
Hopefully reveal the source of skywalkers vision this trip will.
Yoda had arranged for skywalker and the other younglings to go to illum earlier than normal in order to try and get to the source of Young skywalkers visions, and see if they were merely just visions or something more.
Anakin POV
The ship exited hyperspace to the presence of Ilum. large snow white planet.
The shuttle landed and the younglings, along with Yoda and Obi-wan exited the ship.
"Be warned. this place is treacherous, however, as long as you restrain your fear you should be fine." Obi wan said the the group of both terrified and excited younglings"
The group approached the entrance of a large mountain and entered a large room full of crystals. Master yoda used the force to cause a large crystal to reflect light onto an ice door which caused it to melt. The Jedi master instructed the younglings to go alone.
The group passed through the new door and initially stayed together, but soon separated.
Dani POV
Dani felt his Krystal call to him and walked through a large, white cave which was very bright. He saw a blue glow flash at him. The glow lured him towards it whilst a cotton white fog began to surround him . The fog illuminated blue as he neared the Krystal. His hand reached the Krystal and he took hold of it.
His body shook vividly and he fell to the ground. The fog turned red; a deep breathing filled the air. HOOOOR HAAAAA
Dani attempted to scream but his efforts were muffled and indistinguishable from the heavy breathing that echoed around the room..
A hooded figure approached the child and ignited a blue blade. The figures hood fell revealing an older version of Anakin's head, which Dani somehow knew was Anakin. (force vision stuff)
"Anakin" The child let out
"Anakin skywalker is dead; I destroyed him."
Dani reached his hand out to push with force but to no avail. The sith lord stood over him and prepared to strike.
"I am one with the force, and the force is with me." Dani chanted
"I am one with the force and the force is with me."
"I am one with the force and the force is with me."
"I am one with the force and the force is with me."
the sith lord began to fade away as he chanted and the fog turned back to a cotton white. Dani looked in his palm and found his lightsaber crystal.
Anakin POV
Anakin reached out his hand in order to detect its presence and he found it with relative ease. He approached it and tried to grasp it but it vanished. The once icy white room turned all black and Anakin began to fall into an empty abyss. Eventually after what felt like a thousand years he landed on a clear bridge like structure.
Voices spoke all around him,
"You were my brother Anakin"
"I am your father"
"Where is Padme?"
"Our long awaited meeting has come at last"
"How many lies have i been told by the council"
"They don't trust you Anakin"
"Henceforth you shall be known as darth Vader"
"Do not hesitate, show no mercy"
"Lord Sidious promised us peace. he only wa..."
"Master skywalker there are too many of them what are we going to do?"
Ghost like figures floated around him. From the younglings he had murdered, to padme, to Obi-Wan, to Mace Windu, to the countless civilians he had slain. They all spoke one common phrase, "You killed me"
Anakin tried to cover his ears to hide the piercing voices but to no avail. His heart sank and his body crumpled into a ball.
The voiced continued to drown his ears and ghost like figures continues to swarm him.
"NOOOOOOOO" Anakin let out a blood curdling scream
Obi-Wan POV
All the younglings except Anikan and Dani had returned.
"NOOOOOOOOO"
Obi wan heard the blood curdling scream that clearly originated from his 'padawan' (remember, he isn't technically a padawan yet at this point)
Yoda gave a sigh.
The Jedi looked at the entrance of the cave as Dani came running out in tears with a heavy panting.
Anakin POV
The voices and ghosts still drowned him, but he realized he had to take responsibility. He stood up and shouted at the top of his voice, "I am sorry for what I have done to you. I am going to make things right and destroy sidious"
The voices and ghosts all faded and he felt the dark surrounding swivel and turn back to the white room that was once there. He looked at his hand and saw his crystal.
He made his way to the entrance of the cave exited to the sight of The older Jedi and the younglings. Dani gave him a cold stare whilst the others looked at him with a hint of sorrow as a result of his scream earlier.
Obi- Wan POV (before anakin comes out)
Obi wan saw as Dani emerged from the cave in tears and was shivering viciously. It looked as if he would explode.
Onzi spoke first," Dani are you alright. What happened."
Dani couldn't speak
"What did you see?" Obi wan asked whilst putting his hand on the Childs shoulder
"It was.. was..an." Dani tried to blurt out something but stuttered
he tried again, "When i touched my crystal, the room went black. I fell to the ground and i heard a deep breathing like hooor haaaa. Then a hooded figure came out of the red fog and ignited a blue lightsaber. his hood fell and I saw, I saw.."
"It's alright. Carry on." Obi wan reassured him
"When his hood fell I saw Anakin's face, but older. He told me Anakin skywalker was dead, and then raised his lightsaber to kill me. Then I chanted that the force was with me and he disappeared."
It can't be.
Obi wan recognized the breathing voice Dani had made from when he had looked into Anakin's mind and saw the dark figure. In the vision the dark figure made the exact same breathing sound as Dani had made.
it can't be. Anakin a sith lord.
Anakin emerged from the mountain entrance to the welcome of horror filled eyes staring at him.
