"You won't get away with all the Jedi you've killed today count"
Count Dooku of Serenno landed his Geonosion class fighter into the Jedi Temple hanger bay. He wore pristine and elegant clothing and equiped hiself with a curved blue lightsaber. Although he had left the order, he was allowed to keep his saber as a symbol of respect to the count, for he had been one of the most respected members of the order.
His shuttle was greeted by Master Windu and Ki-adi Mundi. Windu held both respect and distain for the count. The count was very powerful with the force, and was honorable however he had turned away from the order due to him not agreeing with their ideals, which Windu wasn't pleased with when he heard the news.
"Welcome Dooku. What brings you here today" Mace asked
"I have come to speak with the Jedi Council on an issue that involves the republic and my world of Sorenno" Dooku spoke with a firm, yet noble voice.
"Why not take it to the senate?" Mace wondered
"It involves the Jedi as well. You will soon see what I mean.." Dooku answered, however he knew this wasn't his real reason for coming.
Mace reached for his comlink to inform master yoda.
"Master yoda" Mace commed
"Hear you I do" Yoda replied
"Dooku has landed and requests to speak to the Jedi council," Mace told the grand master
YODA POV
Yoda was so caught up in his thoughts that he hadn't felt the distinct force presence of Dooku approach the temple.
"To the council chambers bring him." Yoda relayed back to Windu
Anakin and Dooku dueled until Skywalker's hand was cut off. Then Master Yoda engaged the count in a ferocious duel of the force and lightsaber.
Anakin then had 2 lightsabers to the counts head and reluctantly beheaded him.
An agent of the sith Dooku may already may. Proceed carefully we must. Potentially know about Skywalker he does.
Yoda contacted Master Shaak Ti who was the head of Anakins clan of younglings and asked her to inform her students that there was to be no lessons that day. Yoda wanted this as to avoid Anakin accidently using to much force power in one of his classes which could get Dooku's attention.
Anakin POV
Dooku's here.
Anakin sensed the presence of the count. He cold sense his presence from a star system away. During the clone wars Dooku was Anakins greatest rival- in large part due to his hand being cut off at Dooku's hand.
Master Ti entered the dorm. "Master Yoda has asked me to inform you that all lessons today are cancelled."
All the students looked puzzled. In The past few days more lessons had been cancelled than in the past 3 years combined.
Dooku must be up to something. In the original timeline as far as I am aware Dooku never came to the temple whilst I was there. And lessons were most definitely not cancelled so Master Yoda must be weary of something. Perhaps he wants me to stay low and not use the force as to prevent Dooku from sensing my presence. Dooku is very powerful so he would sense me if I tried to get close enough to hear whats happen, however, as Vader I was able to overhear conversations from a long distance to investigate potential traitors and saboteurs. I may be able to do that hear, however, Im jot sure if the Jedi will pick on my presence since I never tried it with anyone force sensitive. Not even the emperor.
Council POV
Dooku, Windu and Mundi entered the council chambers.
Yoda made sure to stay focused and not miss any small details that could expose Dooku's true reason for coming.
"Master Jedi. I have been investigating the murder of my former apprentice Qui-Gon Jinn and the savagw who killed him, and long story short I believe maul was simply the Apprentice and that his master is still out their. I also believe that the sith master has influence in the senate." Dooku claimed
Master Windu was the first to speak, " Why have you been investigating the sith behind our backs?"
"I left the order due to not seeing eye to eye with this council and it's methods, so when i decided to investigate further I wished to do so without any constraints from the Jedi Council. However, the situation is larger than I initially realized so i decided it was worth coming to you for assistance."
"And how have you come to the conclusion that a senator may be involved?" Master Plo asked
"Maul had the backing of the trade federation, and it isn't easy to make ties with the likes of them without being previously politically acquainted, such as in the senate. "
"Very well. What can be done to root out this sith lord?" Windu asked although still a bit hesitant to believe Dooku's claims.
"There is an opening in the senate for young people to get involved with politics. It is also open for Jedi, and I believe we could perhaps inject a Youngling or young Padawan into this scheme and they could act on out behalf to held detect the sith whilst not being as easily detected as a fully grown Knight or Master." Dooku offered his idea
"You can't be serious. You asking us to get a child to spy on the senate. Are you crazy? We also don't like to get involved with politics so it would be quite suspicious if we all of a sudden get a jedi to enter politics." Windu rebutted
"it wouldn't be spying. Merely keeping their eyes open for anything weird. And you could use the opportunity to build relations with the senate and the republic. You don't have to get involved with the politics." Dooku tried to convince the Jedi
"And if we were to go with you're crazy idea who would we put in?" Windu questioned
"That is a reason I came in person. If you would, I would like to observe some students to see who would best fit the role." Dooku requested
"We need to discuss this before we can offer you anything count" Windu said with a bitterness in his voice.
"Very well. I will await your decision. But it is in your best interests to follow my plan" Dooku replied before leaving the room.
Anakin POV
Anakin observed the whole thing via the force whilst heavily masking his force presence, however, Dooku wasn't acquainted with Anakin so he wouldn't recognize him.
Dooku is already Sidious's apprentice at this point so he isn't here to expose the sith. Sidious must have sensed a disturbance whilst I was giving my vision, and must have sensed the pain in Master Yoda. Dooku is trying to uncover the source of the disturbance and observing students must be his excuse to walk around the temple and try and detect anything out of place. Also, getting a youngling/padawan into the senate would give the sith more access and influence over the Jedi. He had to stop it.
He reached out through the force. "Master yoda. You cannot allow Dooku to do this. He is a sith lord right now and he is making an excuse to wander through the temple to see if anything feels out of place. If he is allowed to do this he will almost definitely detect me, even with my best shields. You know Sidious is the sith lord. This is a ploy not only to get to me, but also to give the sith more control over the Jedi. In my timeline this never happened so the sith must have detected a disturbance. "
Yoda POV
"Agree I do. However, if agree the council do not then a problem there will be for unless you wish to reveal your vision to them I cannot stop them."
"You must try your best. If it fails I will have to think of something."
Master yoda was about to give the "Do or do not. Their is no try" line but decided against it due to his knowledge that his rigid rules may have led to the decimation of the order.
The Jedi debated for nearly an hour before they came to a decision 7-5 in favour of following Dookus idea.
"Failed I have. Voted in agreement of Dooku they have. An idea have you" Yoda communicated through the force to Anakin.
"There is one way. You could send me and Master Kenobi on a mission to get us out of the temple" Anakin responded
"Leave the temple younglings do not. Draw unwanted attention that may" Yoda replied
"This may be risky, but I could volunteer for Dooku's plan. i know Sidious and his methods, and I am the only one who could capable of resisting the sith. I would have to hide my power and that would be difficult, but during my time as a sith I became proficient in masking my presence in whilst hunting Jedi."
"Work that could, though risky it is. If choose to do this you give you extra lessons on hiding your power I will."
"Thank you master. I think its our best option, and it may even be advantageous as it could allow us to get closer to the sith."
Dooku re-entered the council chambers.
"In favor of you methods we are, though not in total agreement are we. Allow you to observe students we will." Master Yoda announced tot he count
