Jack Driscoll is a scientist who works at the University of Pennsylvania, an expert in biochemistry and in a new type of radiation, classified as Kaiju radiation. He became a colleague of fellow scientist and professor Ann Darrow... shortly after they made their courtship official. Everything was going well for both of them, until Jack met Ann's father; Bill Randa who is the head of a secret organization called Monarch...discreetly financed by the government. Bill wanted to recreate an experiment that took place during the second world war... to make a super soldier... so making use of this new Kaiju radiation, he commissioned Jack with a serum. Jack did everything in his power, he noticed that the Kaiju radiation was compatible with the DNA of other animals, so he tried that of the gorillas so that the volunteer would acquire the strength and agility of said species.
The day of the test...
Jack had the serum ready, but Randa couldn't find volunteers because his superiors denied him, so he reached an agreement with Jack so that he would put the serum on himself. A special machine was created that would pass the serum to Jack, Jack sits down and it starts to work, Ann and Randa are witnesses, he calms her down. Although at first everything seemed to be going well, soon the experiment fails and the exposure to radiation and serum...transforms Jack into a huge gorilla!...Elated, the beast begins to destroy everything in the place, Ann tries to calm him down. , but the gorilla hurts both her and Randa by accident, noticing, the gorilla tries to grab her with his hand, but a security guard shoots him with a gun, the gorilla kills him and furious escapes from the laboratory.
Days after...
Ann was admitted to the hospital, Jack managed to get into the hospital and be in the same room as Ann, he regrets everything, he should not have accepted the deal, but it's too late... all he can do is comfort her . However, Randa finds out and tries to get him away from her, he blames Jack for the experiment having failed, before everything gets out of control, Ann wakes up and sees them both arguing, Randa is relieved that her daughter is okay, Jack take advantage of this distraction to flee the place.

After his escape and after reports of attacks by the enormous gorilla on television and newspapers-the press baptized the beast as Kong-Randa began a hunt to find Jack...because if someone else caught him it would mean his ruin, he also took information Monarch's valuables and is framed for murder.
