Nowadays...

Jack Driscoll wakes up abruptly, he was having nightmares, now he lives in Barranquilla, Colombia... Jack likes to appreciate the place from the roof of his house. One morning he helps himself to breakfast and watches TV...he sits down to eat and read a dictionary to better understand Spanish.

Jack Driscoll: "Él come...la mujer come". (He eats...the woman eats).

He also practices capoeira with his instructor Cain, who teaches him about emotions, control and breathing. Later he goes to his job, at a "Pony" soft drink bottling plant... however he suffers constant harassment from a colleague named Pablo, for being American. At work he does a good job, it seems that a colleague named Luciana is interested in him. Then the manager named Santiago speaks to him.

Santiago: "Tú, el gabacho...ven para acá". (You, the American...come here).

Jack obeys the boss of him...Jack helps out with a technical problem with a switch.

Jack Driscoll: "That's it."

The upper mounting chain is working again, Santiago is proud of Jack.

Jack Driscoll: "It will work for a while, but it needs more maintenance."

Luckily for Jack, Santiago understands English.

Santiago: "What I need is a new factory."

They both laugh.

Jack Driscoll: "Perhaps you are right."

Santiago: "It's already been five months that you've been helping me like this. I admit you're too smart for the day job, let me put you on the payroll."

However Jack accidentally cuts himself, his blood spilling onto the lower assembly line, fearing the worst - that it fell into one of the bottles - Jack screams for the machine to stop.

Jack Driscoll: "No, no, no...turn it off!".

Santiago: "¿Qué pasa?". (What's up?).

Jack rushes down, Santiago doesn't understand but orders to turn it off.

Santiago: "¡Apagenla!". (Turn it off!).

An employee turns off the machine, Jack must make sure that his blood has not fallen into one of the bottles, he searches and searches, he sees that it only fell on one side of the bottles, Jack feels relieved, cleans the blood and then heals .

Jack Driscoll: "Okay, false alarm."

Santiago doesn't understand it, but he takes it as a funny moment and not as something negative.

Santiago: "Vamos, a trabajar". (Let's go, to work).

Jack continues with his work day, ignoring that more blood fell into a bottle that he did not see. The bottle is filled with the soft drink, bottled and packed ready to be exported from Colombia to the United States. At the end of the day, Jack tries to talk to Luciana, but Pablo beats him to it.

Pablo: "Uff, mira que cuca estas...tan linda". (Uff, look how cute you are... so cute).

Still Jack perks up.

Jack Driscoll: "Luciana, tú y yo, almorzar juntos". (Luciana, you and I, have lunch together).

Pablo doesn't like it very much.

Pablo: "No te metas, chiviado". (Stay out of it, you crackpot).

Jack Driscoll: "¿Entonces, sí?". (So, yes?).

Pablo begins to lose his temper.

Pablo: "¿Buscas problemas?". (Are you looking for trouble?).

Jack Driscoll: "Ningun problema". (No problem).

Pablo: "Muy tarde". (Very late).

Pablo pushes him a little.

Jack Driscoll: "Porfavor, no quieres verme hambriento". (Please, you don't want to see me hungry).

Paul doesn't understand.

Jack Driscoll: "No, wait."

Jack confused two words, before he starts a fight, Santiago stops them and orders them to leave immediately, Jack takes Luciana, leaving Pablo frustrated.
