Blue bolts of energy vaporized the air through which it passed before striking its target. Lightsabers twisted and swung. But to no avail.
Bodies continued to pile up. The screams of children echoed throughout every corner of the temple.
Council POV
No-one knew what to do. fear and urgency crossed paths in their faces. Their colleagues, students, and friends were dropping left right and centre, however, their efforts made no difference. Their sabers passed right through the attackers like ghosts.
"What's happening" a master shouted above the blaster fire.
"A vision this must be" Master yoda stated disturbingly
Crash
A temple pillar toppled and fell upon 2 un-suspecting Padawan's.
The masters all turned their heads towards the source of the crash and saw a hooded figure with a blue lightsaber ignited slashing at other Jedi.
The masters rushed over hurriedly to see who was attacking fellow Jedi.
Anakin POV
This isn't happening. How did this happen?, I didn't show them this. I can see the other council members but the clones aren't shooting them so this must be some sort of joint vision where we are all in some sort of super-realistic vision.
Oh no, they are running towards my other self. I need to stop them before they see who is killing the other Jedi. I wonder if the force will work here.
Anakin reached out with the largest push he could exert and pushed towards the Jedi. it had no impact on the clones, but it did push the council masters back (Obi-Wan as well is with them)
Council POV
AHHHH
The council gave a collective scream as they all flung into a wall.
"How is that happening. These troopers can't interact with us"
Yoda pondered a second and realized.
Skywalker this must be. Here he is, and not want us to see his other self he does.
Master Windu shook off the push and continued towards the hooded imposter, but was frozen in his tracks.
"What!" Windu shouted
The entire council continued to be pushed about and slowed down, and Yoda gave Skywalker a little hand in slowing the council members down.
Anakin POV
Master yoda's helping me. Wow. He must know i'm here and that i don't want the council to see who is under that hood.
I can't keep them delayed forever, I need to find a way to stop them.
Council POV
"This vision clearly has problems" master Mundi stated frustrated.
"Perhaps it doesn't want us to see who the hooded figure is" Obi-Wan replied also convinced Skywalker was the one actually slowing them and not some vision restrictions.
"I ag.." Before master Yoda could reply everything began to shake and tossed him of his feet.
Anakin POV
Obi-Wan has them distracted. If I focus on getting back to the normal world then maybe I can cause this vision to collapse.
Anakin closed his eyes and concentrated on the thought of the real world.
Everything began to shake.
it seems to be working
Council POV
The walls around them shook and the earth trembled.
Everything began to spin and their visions blurred before clearing up.
They were back in the council chambers.
"How could that of happened. So much death and suffering" Master Plo spoke.
"I don't know" Master Mundi replied grimly
The council doors opened and a group of young children ran in
"Wha-" Windu tried to ask before realizing the children couldn't see them.
The children then hid behind the council seats.
None of the council could speak. Their faces bewildered by shock.
Finally, Shaak Ti managed to speak, "We appear to still be in the vision. The younglings can't see us"
The council door opened again and a hooded figure entered.
A youngling emerged quickly from behind a chair and walked up to the hooded figure.
"Master Skywalker, there are too many of them. What are we going to do?"
The council members looked relieved as it appeared the younglings would be safe (They didn't recognize him as the hooded attacker from earlier). Master Yoda and Obi-wan knew better though.
The hooded figure ignited his blue lightsaber and the youngling took a sudden step back.
The subsequent minute made all the masters - Even master Windu- erupt in tears.
