Later...
Jack meets with a subject in the streets, he promised him something.
Nicolás: "¿Entós qué, loco?". (Then what, crazy?).
Jack Driscoll: "Do you have it?"
Nicholas: "Sorry friend."
Jack Driscoll: "Damn."
Then Nicholas makes a face.
Nicolás: "Broma, loco...aquí tienes". (Joke, crazy...here you go".
Nicolás gives Jack some plants, Jack is happy.
Jack Driscoll: "Thank you."
Jack and Nicolas shake hands, then Jack quickly walks home.
Jack Driscoll: "With this, I'll finally get out of here."
Jack takes out his laptop and prepares his chemical kit, to motivate himself he puts a photo of Ann next to him. He contacts a subject codenamed Mr. Reptile. He writes to her.
Jack Driscoll: "Reptile, are you there?"
Jack's code name is Mr. Monkey.
Mr. Reptile: "Mr. Monkey, I'm glad to hear from you after a long time... my mysterious friend."
Jack Driscoll: "I found it".
Mr. Reptile: "In good time, the flower is pretty, isn't it?"
Jack opens the leaves that Nicolás gave him and sees that it is a flower, for medicinal purposes.
Mr. Reptile: "I'm telling you, try a higher dose...good luck."
Jack cuts the leaves off the flower, makes a mixture creating-apparently-a kind of serum. With a drop of his blood he does a test, he pours a little of the serum into his blood and through a microscope he observes, at first it seems to have an effect... but suddenly... everything falls apart, it does not serve as a cure . Jack is frustrated.
Jack Driscoll: "Damn."
And he writes to Mr. Reptile.
Jack Driscoll: "One more failure."
Mr. Reptile: "How much of the flower did you use?"
Jack Driscoll: "The whole flower."
Mr. Reptile: "It's time to meet."
Jack denies it.
Jack Driscoll: "No, it's not sure yet."
Mr. Reptile: "You know it's not safe either?...living poisoned with kaiju radiation, forget about the flowers and send me a blood sample."
Jack isn't sure about that.
Mr. Reptile: "He doesn't, I won't be able to help him."
Jack has no choice, he takes a sample of his blood and sends it by express parcel to New York. After this, he decides to take a break.
