At the Monarch facility...
Bill Randa is sitting at his desk, deep in thought, when his assistant Vivienne Graham walks in with a document.
Vivienne Graham: "This might interest you, sir."
Randa looks at the file.
Vivienne Graham: "Kaiju radiation effect found."
She talks about a man who...drank the soda with Driscoll's blood on it!...this man is...Tom Bombadil.
Vivienne Graham: "A man drank Pony brand soda, it had a disastrous effect on him."
This Tom said when he drank from the soda.
Tom Bombadil: "Wow, that's powerful."
Tom dropped the bottle. Randa quickly asks.
Bill Randa: "Where was it bottled?"
Vivienne Graham: "In Barranquilla, Colombia."
Randa knows who it is.
Bill Randa: "Quick, let our people look for an American man at the bottling plant, but discreet, if he detects us he will leave."
Randa mobilizes an entire battalion, along with more troops at Monarch's associated military base, reunites with an old associate...Ben Hayes.
Hayes: "In a big hurry, but I found people...of good quality, above all, I got you an ace up your sleeve."
A high-caliber soldier arrives by helicopter...known in the media as Captain Englehorn.
Hayes: "His name is Englehorn, he started out as a poacher...he worked in semi-illegal stocks selling exotic animals to zoos and circuses...then he joined the navy...and the rest is history."
Englehorn meets with both.
Bill Randa: "I understand you called in favors for me, Hayes."
Hayes: "Leave it like that, I hope it will be useful to you."
They all board a plane and take off, on the way Vivienne gives them the instructions, to hunt down Jack Driscoll.
Vivienne Graham: "This is the target, the location has been given to you, we need the subject alive, tranquilizer darts only authorized and weapons only for backup."
Englehorn sees a photo of Driscoll.
Vivienne Graham: "Remember that the government supports us but we must be discreet."
Englehorn can't help but ask a question.
Captain Englehorn: "Is he a warrior?"
Randa answers.
Bill Randa: "He is a fugitive from the United States government, accused of stealing military secrets and implicated in the deaths of two scientists, a military officer and two Canadian hunters...don't give him a chance to prove he is a warrior, just put him to sleep and hand him over to me."
