Note: Sidious has his hood up, so he doesn't know anakin knows he is Palpatine

"Young Skywalker" Sidious cackled

"Darth Sidious" Anakin replied

"Ah boy, so you know who I am. Who told you? Dooku? Maul?" Sidious asked

Anakin didn't answer.

"So be it, Jedi" Palpatine grumbled before unleashing a wave of force lightning.

Anakin blocked the lightning but at great physical strain. Sidious gave a visible look of surprise.

"Impressive" Palpatine commented before continuing his barrage which Anakin continued to block.

"I'm full of surprises," Anakin said taking a page from Lukes book

"That was just a warmup. The real test is only beginning" Palpatine said

"Are sure about that. From what I'm seeing the most powerful being in the galaxy is struggling against a 12-year-old" Anakin replied with a smile

Palpatine, infuriated, ended his barrage and activated one of his lightsabers, and slowly approached Anakin.

Anakin POV

"You can not beat me old man" Anakin taunted trying to make sidious slip-up.

"insolent fool" Sidious growled before lunging, but his attack was easily dodged( Palpatine isn't going all out yet_

Anakin now made his own strike which was deflected. The two began slowly exchanging hits. Anakin is wary of Sidious's power, and Sidious tests the boy not wanting to kill him.

The duel got more heated and strikes were exchanged quicker and Sidious launched the occasional lightning blast which Anakin avoided or blocked.

Sidious POV

This boy is far more powerful than I ever imagined. He would make the perfect apprentice,I just need to tempt him with the dark side.

"Use your anger and hatred. only then can you destroy me" Sidious proclaimed

"Very well" Anakin replied with a smirk

Anakin POV

Guess he wants me to activate Vader. Normally no one my age or really anyone save the best of the best wouldn't be able to control the dark side and not be fully consumed, but with my experience, I can do so easily

Sidious had a slight hint of confusion at Vaders remark

Vader unleashed a barrage of deadly force lightning catching Sidious of by surprise. The latter was able to deflect the lighting, however.

"WHAT" Sidious audibly gasped

"I am more powerful than you know Sidious" Vader retorted

Sidious had had enough and ignited his second blade before pouncing and taking fast and aggressive strikes attempting to disarm the boy.

Vader held off well but he knew he wouldn't be able to last long in his small body against Sidious's powerful strikes. Vader made flips and pounces trying to get a lucky strike but it was to no avail. Sidious was able to easily counter any of vaders attacks or force moves.

"Enough games boy," Sidious said before deactivating both lightsabers and unleashing an immensely powerful wave of lightning which Vader was unable to fully hold off and he was launched into the wall near Dooku's unconscious body.

"You are now mine Young Skywalker" Palpatine cackled

"Oh I don't think so, Vader said weakly after regaining some composure," Vader said

"You cannot beat me boy" Sidious responded

"But they can," Vader said pointing out of the hanger to a squad of Jedi fighters approaching, "I knew this would be a trap so I had a tracking device on me which I could activate if I needed to let the Jedi know where I am."

"Smart. But not smart enough" Sidious responded with a cackle.

The Jedi starfighters landed at the hanger and sprang out of the ship's lightsabers ignited. Yoda, Windu, Kenobi and Mundi were all there.

"Darth Sidious" Yoda spoke

"Master Yoda" Sidious responded before igniting both blades and spinning at the Jedi. he immediately made contact with Mundi and before anyone could react he was cut down. Oni wan rushed to help Anakin whilst the masters fought Sidious.

Sidious wasn't messing around. He launched barrages of lightning as well as tossing objects at the masters in between his lightsaber attacks. The duel was ferocious with neither side getting the upper hand.

Sidious decided to make a risky move. He went to the edge of the hanger which was the edge of a 400m drop ad walked off the edge backward. Windu and yoda rushed to the edge and looked down. before they could think Sidious, who had grasped a balcony lower down, launched himself upwards grabbed a bar at the top of the hanger entrance and threw himself back into the hanger all in a couple of seconds. Once he landed he launched lightning at the Jedi masters who couldn't respond in time. They both went flying out the hanger entrance to the ground below.

Kenobi and Anakin both looked Horror as the most powerful Jedi in the order were both slain. Kenobi and Anakin both got into battle stances.

"We take him together," Anakin said taking a page of his master's book

Obi-wan gave a slight nod. Sidious engaged them both but quickly kicked Anakin in the stomach leaving him open to a force push causing him to fly to the other end of the hanger. Sidious engaged Kenobi.

Anakin recovered and saw both his masters duking it out, but Kenobi was no match for the sith lord. As Anakin ran back to help Obi-wan he was frozen in his tracks by the sight of a red blade impaling Kenobi's chest.

"NOOOOOOO" Anakin screamed and tears rushed down his face

Sidious cackled

"I told you that you will never beat me!" Sidious affirmed.

The building began to shake and collapse in on itself, but Anakin was still frozen in place and unable to move. The view of the hanger began to change. Everything got bright and the floor turned and orangy yellow.

After a few seconds, Anakin's eyes adjusted to the view of a desert. It was Tatooine.

Sidious was still there. And there was someone else. A woman.

"Mom?" Anakin asked lightly with tears still rolling from his master's death.

"Anni. I love you. Always know that i lo.." Shimis's words were cut short as she placed her hands on her neck and began to struggle for air.

"Mom no" Anakin pleaded whilst still being frozen in place. He watched as his mother grasped her neck and slowly succumbed to suffocation and collapsed on the ground.

A river of tears now washed Anakin's face.

"Use your hatred and strike me down," Sidious said

Anakin, now unfrozen, launched himself at Sidious and with one quick strike decapitated the sith lord. Anakin stood still before turning to see Sidious's body. But instead of it being Sidious it was him. Anakin's lifeless body lay on the floor. Anakin looked at his arm and saw black armor and heard deep black breathing. His blade was now red. The desert around him disappeared and everything went dark except for a small light in the distance and a transparent glass-like path. Vader walked towards the light and as he got closer he heard voices.

"Rise Lord Vader"

"Master Skywalker there are too many of them. What are we going to do.?"

"I won't leave you. not this time"

"HELP US"

"Only a master of evil Darth"

"I AM your father"

and finally

"YOU WERE MY BROTHER ANAKIN. IT WAS SAID YOU WOULD DESTROY THE SITH, NOT JOIN THEM"

The light changed into the outline of 3 ghostly figures.

Obi-wan, Yoda, and Qui-Gon.

Anakin immediately began to speak, "I've failed. Sidious has already won. You are already dead."

"Failed you did not. A vision that was. warn you of the dangers of confronting Sidious alone it did, but also the danger of the dark side. Able to control it you are, but let your emotions control you, you do, and return to the dark side you may. Wanted to kill Gunray you did out of anger and revenge, lead to the death of all those you care for it also did. Revenge you should not seek." Master Yoda's future ghost told him.

Anakin woke up to find himself back in meditation class where he had first sensed Gunray.

I can't risk facing Sidious again I'm going to have to hold out and wait for a better chance.
