'Who is this" A landing controller spoke through the comm
"This Is Anakin Skywalker" Anakin replied
"Let him land!" Windu said, who had interrupted the comm channel.
Anakin landed and the counil met him on the landing pad
"Anakin" Kenobi said, " Are you alright"
"I'm fine. Wheres my mother?" Anakin asked
"She's in the medical bay getting treated for dehydration. But she's fine" Kenobi responded, "How did you escape"
"We should probably talk in the council chambers" Anakin said
They agreed and headed to the council chambers.
"Care to explain" Windu demanded
"The other day, Maul, Dooku and Poggle were on Corrusant. They wanted to lure me into a trap. I had a vision where I went alone and defeated Maul and dooku, but Sidious arrived and defeated me. He then proceeded to kill many of you who came to help me. He then killed my mother. I knew I had to save her, but i couldn't tell any of you as i took my vision as a warning that if you got involved you would be killed. It was my mission not yours. Once Dooku arrived I held him of for a while but my mother contacted you and i knew if you came Dooku or sidious would kill my mother so i had to surrender and be captured to get off-world ASAP. He took me in his ship, but i was able to convince him that following Sidious was the wrong idea and he agreed to help me take him down. He gave me a ship and let me leave."
"How did you convince Dooku?" Mundi asked
"I told him i am from the future, and that in my future Sidious ordered me to execute him. That seemed to do the trick" Anakin answered.
Sidious POV
"HOW DID HE ESCAPE!" Sidious yelled
"That boy is more powerful than you know" Dooku replied
"You were bested by a child" Sidious said angrily
"I accept responsibility for my failure my master" Dooku said
"You are on thin ice Dooku. You had better impress me soon. I will see if Maul can succeed where you have failed" Sidious added before ending the transmission
Council POV
"We are receiving a transmission from the Chancellors office" Mundi said
"Put it through" Windu replied
"Master Jedi. The Chancellor requests Skywalkers pressence. He would like to continue the Program that was cut short by the bounty hunter. " Mas Amedda said
"We need time to consult" Windu put bluntly
"Very well" Amedda replied before the transmission ended
The council sat in silence for a minute.
"Disturbing this is. Attempt to take skywalker Palpatine may." Yoda said, "Call for skywalker"
Skywalker arrived shortly later.
"This is actually a good thing. This means Sidious is getting desperate and is losing control" Anakin commented
"That may be true, but we still cant accept this request" Windu said
"If we deny it then sidious may get suspicious. I think i should go. It may allow me better access to understand Sidious's intentions" Anakin replied.
"Very well. But i still don't like this" Windu said
Anakin POV
Wow He actually seems to be showing some concern for me.
Anakin left for the hangar bay with Obi-Wan and they set of for the senate building.
1 hour later
"Welcome my boy" Palpatine said to Anakin once he had arrived
Anakin gave a slight bow
"Your services will no longer me needed master Jedi" Palpatine added
Kenobi also gave a small bow before leaving
"We will head to my private residence to begin with. There you can relax before a busy day tommorow" Palpatine mentioned
The two entered Palpatines private quarters.
"Make yourself at home my boy" Palaptine said
Anakin walked into a large corridor that had numerous guest rooms attached. He headed to the one he was allocated. He opened the door and put his belongings next to the bed.
"Hello there" a deep voice spoke
Anakin immediately ignited his lightsaber and spun around to meet the voice
The figure emerged from the dark corner and ignited its own blade. 2 of them.
"Maul" Anakin growled
They locked blades and bade small strikes at one-another. The duel quickly left the room and made its way into the long, wide corridor.
"You are no match for me child. Surrender and I might let you live" Maul said condescendingly
"Never" Anakin rebutted before attacking again
Palpatine came running towards the duel and immediately shouted "ANAKIN"
The duel continued with maul making relentless strikes which anakin was able to deflect with ease which clearly aggravated the sith assassin.
The duel was going in Anakins favour. Sidious realised this and subtly moved his hand slightly causing Anakins lightsaber to move slightly which allowed mauls lightsbaer to cut through the hilt- destroying it. Maul then used the force to launch the child into a wall.
Maul put both Anakin and palpatine in force cuffs. ( He had to make palpatines capture look convincing)
"You almost lost to this child. If i didn't intervene you would be dead" Sidious growled at his apprentice
"Well, I am not dead and we have skywalker. That is all that is important."
Maul dragged skywalker out of Palpatines residence and led them to his ship which was hidden nearby.
Some senate guards saw the chancellor being dragged away by maul and sounded an alarm. They then ran towards the sith.
'Hold your fire. We may hit the chancellor or Skywalker" A guard commander said.
Maul tossed Palpatine and skywalker to the ground and ignited his blade and launched his lightsaber at the oncoming guards decapitating them all.
1 hour later
"THE CHANCELLOR HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED" A large news report on the side of a building said
