The military and Randa inspect Ann's house, confiscate everything that is useful to them...it turns out that the one who called them was Bruce.

Bill Randa: "You did a good job calling us."

Bruce isn't so sure.

Bill Randa: "Where do you think he can go?...she's in danger with him."

Bruce Baxter: "Really?...he protected her from the danger you caused, you're the one who almost killed her."

Bill Randa: "I can assure you that her well-being is my priority."

Bruce Baxter: "I'm an actor, I know better than anyone what he's talking about when someone tells lies... like right now, I don't know where he's going, but I know she'll help him."

Bill Randa: "Yes, she will help a fugitive, so she won't be able to support any of them."

Randa leaves, but Bruce yells at him for one last thing.

Bruce Baxter: "Before I didn't understand why she didn't tell me about you... now I know!".

Randa got into his military jeep.

Bill Randa: "Where does she know these guys from?"

Rande leaves.

Somewhere...

Kong took Ann away from all civilization, entering a forest... to then climb a mountain and take refuge in a small cave... Kong carefully leaves Ann on the ground, hopes that she is okay, Ann wakes up and is scared when to see Kong, but then he calms down...Kong doesn't know what to think.

Ann Darrow: "Jack?"

Kong approaches Ann, showing her that she need not be afraid.

Ann Darrow: "Jack."

Kong seems calm, but lightning behind him enrages him, Kong bursts out of the cave and throws a rock to the ground, followed by a ferocious roar. Ann wants to get closer to him, but Kong tells her not to go out.

Ann Darrow: "Calm, calm."

Kong calms down a bit, Ann takes Kong's hand.

Ann Darrow: "Come here, come on."

Kong follows her.

Ann Darrow: "Watch your head."

Kong and Ann go back into the cave, sit down, Ann sees that Kong has completely calmed down.

Ann Darrow: "Don't worry, it's just the rain."

At the Monarch facility...

In the medical room, Randa goes to see Englehorn, who is totally injured.

Bill Randa: "Will he walk again?"

Doctor: "His bones are basically crushed gravel, but his heart, it's impressive, it looks like a machine."

Randa watches with Englehorn hooked up to a machine and bandaged over his entire body. Randa leaves thinking about what he should do, ignoring that Englehorn...clench his fist!...he soon wakes up.

The next morning...

Ann wakes up, notices that Kong is Driscoll again, she decides to help him. They manage to get back to civilization and stay at a motel, Ann helping Driscoll get inside. Driscoll takes a shower, but the sound of the water and the shower head remind him of a machine gun, causing him to panic. Ann enters the room with some things, while Driscoll comes out of the bathroom, she hears as if Driscoll has vomited.

Ann Darrow: "Jack?"

Driscoll was brushing his teeth.

Jack Driscoll: "Hi, I'm feeling better now."

Ann Darrow: "That's great."

Jack Driscoll: "I was recovering the data."

Ann frowns.

Ann Darrow: "Did you eat them?"

Jack Driscoll: "Well, when a hundred thousand soldiers surround you, sometimes you have to improvise."

Driscoll smiles.

Ann Darrow: "Wow, there wasn't much in the store so I brought what looked best to me, like this."

Ann shows her a watch, to keep checking her pulse.

Jack Driscoll: "Just look."

Ann Darrow: "And look."

Ann takes off a pair of brown pants, too big.

Jack Driscoll: "Really?"

Ann Darrow: "What?...heh, heh...it was the smallest thing they had."

Jack Driscoll: "Don't tell me."

While..

On TV they talk about the fight between the military and Kong on the university campus.

Reporter: "A violent encounter took place on the university campus, where what appeared to be army men fought against an unusual enemy."

Randa check this out.

Reporter: "Young men, Robert Hawkins and Hudson Platt witnessed what happened."

Hudosn Platt: "I'm not lying when I tell you that this was a huge beast, an ape with superhuman strength... I've never seen anything like it."

Reporter: "The young man captured these images with his cell phone, he does not know anything about the whereabouts of the huge ape, it is believed that the search was postponed due to last night's electrical storms, but apparently, the ape would have gone to the forest of the national park" .

At the motel...

Driscoll and Ann prepare to spend the night, Ann decides to give Driscoll a haircut.

Jack Driscoll: "Don't cut it short."

Ann Darrow: "It's not my first time."

They both laugh, Ann finishes, she can't help but pat Driscoll's head.

Ann Darrow: "How did you do it by yourself?"

Jack Driscoll: "Used the nail clippers."

They both laugh again, then Ann hugs Driscoll from behind and kisses him several times on the face, they can't resist it anymore, they both want each other, so they kiss more passionately, they fall on the bed, they want to do it... .but just getting turned on makes Driscoll's pulse race.

Jack Driscoll: "No, no, no!...wait."

Ann Darrow: "What?!"

Jack Driscoll: "I can't do it."

Ann Darrow: "I want to do it":

Jack Driscoll: "No, I can't...get too excited."

Ann Darrow: "Not even a little bit?"

Driscoll goes to bed embarrassed.

Ann Darrow: "Okay, nothing's wrong."
