Princess of Death
Chapter 6
Welcome Home My Lady Hogwarts
Hogsmead Station
Haralda Helasdottir took on step onto the platform and already her anger had grown at the Headmaster, you see the territory of Hogwarts was the castle and its grounds the village and the train station and finally the Black Lake and the Dark Forest.
All of them were meant to be protected under the wards of the castle high were under the control of the Headmaster or an heir of one of the Founders, she could sense the wards were only covering the castle and the grounds and nothing else.
Hell, even the wards of the castle were only running at a fraction of there power, just what was the old fool playing at was this all part of his games, well she thought to herself as she let a grin grow on her face lets see how he likes my game.
With that, she walked past the other first years out of the station towards the castle vanishing from sight only to reappear at the gates where she waited until the right moment to humble the Headmaster.
In the great hall Albus Dumbledore felt a shiver go down his spine as if Death itself had passed over him, he had no idea how right he was as unknown to him and Haralda, Hela was watching hidden in the shadows waiting to see what her little girl had planned as it was sure to be amusing.
Asgard
Heimdall watched from the Bifrost the young Princess make her move as she wrote letters to the Village of Hogsmead most influential resident with another to the head of the Centaurs before using her magic to send them off.
"Heimdall, how is my Niece doing at the school." Came the voice of Loki as he made his way over to the Gatekeeper the Prince left 30 mins later laughing uncontrollably which freaked out a lot of the residents of Asgard.
Hogwarts Great Hall
If Albus, had at any point wished he was a seer today would have been the day he decided not to be anywhere near Hogwarts, as students were being sorted Professor McGonagall called out the name everyone had wanted to hear, Haralda Helasdottir
From the ceiling above a laugh echoed across the hall sending shivers down the spines of both staff and students. "oh Albus, why would I be sorted into one house when I own all 4." Looking up many gasped as they saw the Girl-Who-Lived fall down from the rafters landing perfectly before the shocked Deputy Headmistress.
"Haralda, my dear I," Albus was cut off by the sheer Aura of the Princess of Death as she raised her hand. "I do not seem to remember giving your permission to address me with such familiarity Headmaster, you will address me by my Title understood."
The Great Hall was silent as they watched the headmaster eventually bow his head in subservience to the young Noble, much to the joy of those that hated the Headmaster, however it seemed the Girl was not finished just yet.
"I am very disappointed in you Albus, despite both me and my mothers dislike of you it was believed you cared greatly about the students of this school and the Castle itself." Haralda didn't give him a chance to speak as she gave an exaggerated sigh before continuing. "Please don't lie to me, the second I took one step onto the platform I could sense the pathetic state of the wards."
The occupants of the Hall listened for the next 10 minutes as Haralda declared him to be an incompetent fool for not noticing the state of the wards or to be a Traitor for deliberately weakening the wards and breaking the oath as the headmaster of Hogwarts to protect the entirety of the territory.
It appears this is when the Headmaster finally mustered the will to speak out as he stood from his chair. "My lady, I had no idea the wards were in such bad shape but I swear to you I would never risk the safety of these students." He pleaded with her hoping it would be enough to end this interrogation only to see the Girl smile as if he had walked into a trap.
"Hmmm, very well Headmaster I will reactivate the wards that still work but I shall leave them under your command you can prove to me over this year to back your claim that you truly care for these students, pray you don't muck it up."
With that she waved her hand causing the Castle to groan as the wards were brought back to full strength and expanded across the territory, in the 3 broomsticks Madam Rosemerter was serving a few patrons when the building shook as a wave of Magic came over them. "What was that?" One patron asked looking concerned.
"Worry not that was Lady Hogwarts placing the village back under the protection of her castle for the first time in decades." At the same time, the Centaurs that called the forest home cheered as the felt the wards come back, this one move by Haralda earned her the loyalty of the clan for life.
Hogwarts
Lords Quarters
Haralda smiled as she sat down on the couch removing her shoes to relax, after a few seconds she smiled. "Did you enjoy the show Mother." From the corner of the room, Hela came from the shadows with a large grin on her face as she sat down next to her daughter, smiling as Haralda leaned into her side.
It was an adorable sight to see, the Queen of Hel and her Daughter resting as she looked down to her daughter Hela smiled. "You know when I tell your father, he is going to laugh for hours not to mention your Uncle Loki and Uncle Thor."
After an hour Hela looked down to see Haralda sleeping, picking her up she carried her to the bed chamber and tucked her in before vanishing from Hogwarts back to potter Castle where she spent the next 20 minutes telling James about Dumbledore's dressing down, suffice to say James potter was laughing so hard it woke other portraits in the castle that had been asleep for centuries.
Headmasters office
Albus sat at his desk worried, he had just been humiliated before the whole school by tomorrow morning all if Britain would know of his blunder, yes, he had shut down some of the wards but not all of them.
He needed to convince the girl he was on her side, the power she had at her command was stronger than anything he had felt before, she had to join the light with her under his guidance the magical world would prosper under his hand.
In the Lion's den the students of Gryffindor spoke to each other in awe at what they had seen, one first-year, however, interrupted them. "Why does she call herself Helasdottir the Pagan gods are all false deities." First-year Hermione Granger said loudly much to the annoyance of the older students.
"Shut it, little girl, Lady Haralda is the richest woman in the magical world as for the Daughter of Hela thing, I don't want to think about it magic itself has willingly accepted that as her name could it be true that she is the daughter of the goddess of death, you had better hope not." One student a 5th year from a noble family that came from Denmark during the Viking era.
Many students across all 4 houses we're thinking the exact same thing why was her Last name Helasdottir, was is because she was the child of the Goddess of Death? Or simply because she had survived the Killing curse and magic decided that was her new name now, they would not find out until much later.
