'My name is Junsei Takemine.' Demande read.

'I know not if this name carries any significance in this day and age; it may not. However, that is not important. What matters is that you are an inhabitant on Nemesis...you have to be. And from that fact, I can only deduce that that you are also a wielder of the Jakakozuishou, it was the condition I placed upon this accursed book for the words to appear visible to the reader.'

The pages began to grow warm beneath Demande's fingers as he held the book open with his concentrated gaze and a distant voice echoed quietly within his head.

'The only thing I ask of the reader of this journal is to not judge me for all the decisions and mistakes I have made over the course of my life until the entire story has been told.'

'Ask yourself what you would have done if you were in my shoes.'

'Yes, I am the very first king and ruler of this planet. I loved and cared for Nemesis and it's people with every fiber of my being. This is coming from someone who had hardly cared for anything or anyone as a mortal man on Earth.'

As he continued to read, the voice that could only be heard faintly at first, eventually spoke as loud and clear as if the man was sitting next to him, reading the passages, himself. The voice sounded vaguely familiar to Demande.

'I can feel my death drawing near as I begin to write these words, so my time left is short and I must hurry. Most likely by the time anyone discovers this ledger, I will already be dead. But, I will try to make this as clear and concise as I can, pushing on, until every last word that needs to be said is written.'

'I must open this, starting from when this entire thing began. Earth and my life there.'

The first thing to know about me is that my name wasn't always Junsei Takemine. My birth name given to me was Tatarinov Dimitri Yegorovich, but, I haven't been called that in many years. I know nothing of my biological parents aside that my mother was a teenager when she gave birth and hadn't the means to care for me, so I was raised in an orphanage in a small village in Russia.'

As he closed his eyes and continued to guide his fingers across the words, they started to pull him inside the picture they were trying to portray.

Just like when he witnessed the events of the Silver Millenium, he was now in a different place and time.

He looked all around, up towards the grey skies scattered with birds that flew across and was surprised to be able to feel the chilly breeze blowing through the air. The buildings in the village area, were disheveled with broken window panels and disintegrating bricks. Goats and horses were drinking water along the dirt road from the buckets that laid in front of them as they were tied to their posts.

In the distance there was a large wooden sign that read: "Welcome to Gornozavodsk" in russian text.

'The ladies who cared for me at the orphanage when I was a child told me that my mother came to them in a hysteria, claiming that I was destined to be a blind child as it had been 2 weeks since she had given birth and my eyes had not yet opened. The women gladly accepted the baby as it was their job to do so, and my mother walked away never to be heard from again.''

'Days after they took me in, a peculiar thing happened...'

Demande was pulled into of one of the buildings in the village and was now inside a room with a newborn baby lying in it's crib placed in the center of it. Three ladies dressed as handmaids stood a distance away from the crib, not paying him any attention, but rather, had their eyes glued to the tv monitor that sat in the corner of the room.

The women excitedly telling each other things like, "Can you believe this is happening?"

Another would reply, "I can't, it just sounds too bizarre. Do you actually think these people are who they really say they are? "

"If they're bringing about World Peace as they say will happen, then they must be. Quick, switch to another channel!"

"It's the same program on every channel, Lena, just look."

The lady used a remote and clicked the arrows repeatedly, only to get the same picture on every channel.

Demande started to grow curious, and looked over their short bodies at a tv monitor that appeared to be slimmer than one he had seen in 20th century technology and onto the picture of the young Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion standing side by side with the headline below them that read:

'The World's Newest Royal Couple Has Officially Granted World Peace At Last.'

"They say that from this day forward, we will be living in what's known as 'The New Silver Millenium' where there will be no more wars and violence." one lady said.

"I want to start wearing my hair just like the queen." another lady gleamed.

The women started to giggle amongst each other.

Just then the baby started to stir and eventually cooed loud enough to where the ladies turned their attention back onto him.

"Awe, it's exciting isn't it, little Dimitri. Just think, you'll grow up into a world where will be no wars in your lifetime." one of them said as she leaned over his crib.

She started to gasp.

"Yulia, Lena, come over here, quickly. He has opened his eyes!" the lady called to them.

Both women hurriedly walked through Demande as if he were a ghost and he soon followed suit as he joined them and looked in the crib.

Demande, peered down staring at the infant who looked back to him with the same bright violet eyes that he possessed, himself.

"Yes, the day that I finally opened my eyes for the first time was on the same day, at the exact moment the King and Queen had revealed themselves to be the new leaders of the entire planet of Earth. These 3 ladies, being as superstitious as they were, took my unnatural eye color as some sort of sign and knew me not as another one of the children thrown away by society, but as a miracle baby of the New Silver Millenium who would be destined for great things.'

The room suddenly changed around him and the little baby had now grown into an angel faced child who sat lounged on a small sofa scrolling through an electronic tablet while other children of the orphanage played outside.

One of the women from the first vision carried a tray with a glass of milk alongside a plate of gingerbread cookies and placed it on the end table next to the sofa. The child who carried the bright violet eyes, looked back to her with indifference and shut off his tablet as he reached to grab a cookie.

'Early on, I began to display signs of extraordinary intelligence for a boy my age and was in high demand for potential adoptions. I admit, this could largely be attributed to the women at the orphanage who made it their prerogative that I have the best education, nicest clothes and all the resources I needed to excel above the other children in every aspect, the other children who even at that age I felt no connection with. '

'Despite being raised in an impoverished village, I was essentially treated like royalty and thus, had no awareness of that reality. Perhaps these women are partly to blame for the arrogance and entitlement I would come to attribute later in life.'

Lena, sat on the chair adjacent to him and pulled out a photo from her skirt pocket. She held it out in front of the boy's face to show him.

"Pretty soon you will be on your way to Tokyo with your new parents, D'mitri. Reo and Yuko Takemine will be here to meet you in two weeks, can you believe it? And you'll be moving to the Juuban District which is only a stone's throw away from our King and Queen's location."

She smiled but then began to sigh.

"I know that you will grow up one day to become something really special and live a happy life in this new utopia, but, I hope you will not forget us along the way. Maybe you could even serve in their court one day, oh my goodness, wouldn't that be marvelous." she raved.

The child continued to stare back with indifference and took a gulp of his milk while Lena placed the picture back into her pocket.

Soon, the background morphed again, and the dingy orphanage transformed into that of a luxury apartment filled with expensive furniture. A middle-aged japanese couple enthusiastically lead the small boy inside the living room, the man was stone faced as he laid out the house rules to the boy while the woman smiled warmly and placed her hands on his shoulders.

'I arrived in Japan with my new adoptive parents on the eve of my 6th birthday. My father, Reo, was an executive of a very successful business while my mother was a full time housewife and carer to me. My parents were barren and in need of a son to inherit my father's business but were too impatient to go through the long wait the Japanese adoption process required.'

'To assist in my assimilation into the new culture, my father re-named me after his father and made sure I received the most highly qualified tutors in homeschooling Juuban had to offer where I would also receive Japanese lessons as I hardly knew a word of it.'

'But it was no matter. Within 6 months, I became fluent and within 2 years had forgotten my mother tongue altogether.'

The setting changed once again around Demande, and now he was inside of a classroom with a room full of students that looked to be in the middle school range, watch their teacher performing a demonstration with a chemistry set as he held a test tube and poured it into the beaker below him.

'Towards the end of my primary school years, my parents allowed for me to start attending public school despite my mother's objection to it as she had become overly attached to me. But, my father thought it best in order to develop the social skills I needed in the world of business.'

Demande picked out Junsei among the students and moved in closer to him to study his features. Now that the boy had grown into his features, he held an uncanny resemblance to Demande when he was that age. However, the long hair that wisped around his pale face was of a dark brown color.

Just like…

Yes... It was clear now that this young man was the same man from his dream. The man had told him that he would come to find something that belonged to him and reveal a truth he had always longed to know. The truth of the circumstances that lead his ancestor to one day start a rebellion against the Crystal Palace.

There was something he noticed when he looked at the pair of violet eyes that looked on to the professor that had whatever concoction he had just created, heat slowly upon the bunsen burner. His eyes showed the very first signs of life and emotion that had been nonexistent thus far.

'It was apparent from a young age, that my interests never lied in business, let alone, my father's business. I had no goals of becoming another "suit" like most of the other men in this city. You couldn't really make a difference in the world once you were placed into that role. But in the world of science, there was structure, mystery, discovery, chaos, with no emotions attached. It was everything that made up who I was as a person.'

The classroom and all of it's students evaporated around him, back into the apartment where the Takemine family lived.

He was now inside an elaborate study that had shelves of books bordering the entire room.

The young man, now nearing adulthood, sat calmly with his gaze pointed to the ground.

Demande took notice of the boy's father as he paced back and forth on the other side of the study angrily. Then he suddenly stopped and walked up to the young man.

Junsei raised his gaze up to his father before he suddenly gave him a sharp slap across the face.

The loud unexpected noise it produced when his hand met with his cheek caused Demande to jump slightly.

"After all that I have done for you and this is how you repay me? With disrespect and defiance?" Reo Takemine grilled into the boy.

Junsei didn't respond.

"You didn't think I'd ever find out that you have been skipping your cram school for an entire 2 weeks? How stupid do you think I am?!"

Junsei glared his eyes toward his father, but then relaxed his expression and laid back into the armchair, showing no signs of intimidation.

"I didn't see the harm." he finally spoke. "I am putting in extra hours each day at my high school, what's the problem?"

"Don't be smart with me! You keep playing around in that science lab while you should focus on networking with the other students at your cram school. Kojima has also informed me that you haven't been returning any of his daughter, Yui's, calls. She is your fiance!"

"Only because you arranged it." Junsei replied defensively.

"Kojima is our most important client. Do you know how many young people would kill to have the life that has been given to you?" his father yelled.

"It is a life that I did not choose." Junsei said coldly.

"You spoiled brat. There is no money or power in being a chemist or...whatever it is you're wanting to be, I just don't understand it."

"It's not about the money. I've done everything you've asked me to do, father, without question. I got into the high school you wanted me to and am one of the top 5 students there and still, that isn't good enough for you. I've gone along with this facade of an engagement and have agreed to inherit your business and yet, you won't allow me to harmlessly indulge on the one thing that actually gives me happiness?"

"It's nothing but a distraction and I will make sure to notify your school in the morning to disallow you inside the science lab after hours. I forbid anymore talk on the subject." his father said.

Junsei stood up in anger, looking down at the man who was smaller in stature than himself.

"You're just going to have to get used to it because I have decided that I'm not going to bother myself with living up to your unreasonable expectations any longer. If you can't accept my pursuit of the sciences, then that is your problem and yours alone. It's not like you can dump me off somewhere and start all over. After all, you have a reputation to uphold, and sadly, I'm all you got."

He started for the door before his father called to him.

"I should have left you in that pile of rubble town I pulled you out of!"

Junsei whose hand was placed on the doorknob turned back to his father and smirked at him.

"Perhaps you should have." he said before opening the door and slamming it behind him.

Demande was taken aback at the sudden change in atmosphere when he looked around him once again to find that he was outside, with the grass beneath his feet and the sun shining brightly down him.

A funeral procession was taking place just in front of him.

'My father passed away later that year from a heart attack.'

Junsei's mother clung onto him with tears pouring down her face as they anchored his father's coffin into the plot. He gave her small pats on her back, but it was apparent that comforting someone was one of those things he hadn't much practice in."

'My mother didn't object to me wanting to sell my inherited portion of the business off. It never mattered to her about whether I followed in father's footsteps or not. The money to provide for her and for myself was plentiful enough that it didn't make a difference. I was finally free from the shackles of my father's legacy and was now able to pursue everything I had ever wanted.''

'A few years later, after my sophomore year at Tokyo University, I received the call that my mother too, passed away, leaving me to inherit the rest of my family's wealth.'

Demande was now inside a different spacious apartment. He could see the back of a man looking out of a large glass window that looked over the city.

As he stood next to him, Junsei now completely resembled the man inside his dream the other night. He couldn't believe that this man standing here was his ancestor that started a lineage that would span 1,000 years leading eventually to him. He seemed so much more normal than he had pictured when he was in Earth's setting.

Junsei crossed his arms unaware of his presence and continued to look on to the city.

Demande followed his gaze and saw that his apartment was in view of the royal palace that was a distance away. It wasn't yet the age of crystal tokyo, as the palace had looked different and was much more modest in comparison to what it would eventually become.

'I admit that in those days I had a fascination in Neo Queen Serenity and the civilization she came from. It wasn't for the same reason as everyone else's shallow reasons, it was because as someone who had the upmost faith in the scientific order, this was one thing that seemed to defy it. This beautiful woman was truly an otherworldly being and I became obsessed with finding out everything I could about her and her kingdom. But, it was virtually impossible, the royal family remained unseen and untouchable by anyone on the outside for many years.'

The apartment switched settings and was now the inside a laboratory.

'After I graduated, I started my career at Mugen Academy.'

Junsei wore a white lab coat alongside a much older gentleman with white hair and round spectacles who was also dressed in his lab equipment working on an experiment together. Junsei took notes on his tablet white the older man did most of the pouring with the glassware.'

'I was Professor Tomoe's understudy and he soon became my most respected mentor and together, we accomplished a great many things. These were considered to be my fondest memories I have of my first life on Earth.'

'He eventually became ill and weakened due to his old age and couldn't continue to work in the lab with me and so his widowed daughter Hotaru stepped into his role as my assistant. She was a capable woman and followed my lead, in whatever studies I chose to research, but it was an adjustment having to be without the professor's guidance.'

While still in the lab, professor Tomoe transformed in front of Demande into Hotaru, who was a middle aged petite woman with shoulder length black hair that had streaks of grey sprinkled here and there.

A projection of the television played against the white wall of the lab broadcasting an urgent news report. An image of Neo Queen Serenity came up on the screen.

She had dressed much less extravagantly in these earlier years.

'This was the first time in 25 years the queen had appeared to the world since she came into the throne and, myself, along with the rest of the world were in shock when we saw that she hadn't aged a day since she became Queen. This was also the first time she had given any sort of public address, but, this was for good reason. This broadcast was the announcement of her plans to cleanse the entire Earth by using the Marboroshi no Ginzuishou.'

"The Marboroshi no Ginzuishou is not something to be feared, nor something to reject. We have kept how we were able to achieve world peace a secret for all these years and it will finally be revealed to you. This power has the capability to purify the soul and so, violence will eventually become a thing of the past. Not only that, but, the average human will experience no more disease and your lifespan will increase to an amount never seen before in history." Neo Queen Serenity announced.

"Impossible..." Junsei stated in astonishment.

He looked over to Hotaru who didn't say anything but continued to stare intently at the projection.

"So please, gather with your closest family and friends and rejoice in this incredible opportunity that humanity has to look forward to in this new era. The night on the Eve of the New Year will be when I will release it's power and do not worry, it will be quick and painless to where you won't even be aware it has happened. And please be rest assured that your free will, will remain completely intact. Your Queen wishes you a pleasant rest of the year and I will see you again one day. Adieu."

The announcement had ended. And then seconds later, started to replay from the beginning. The channel had set it on an endless loop that would repeat until new years eve which was only 2 weeks away.

Junsei started to place a hand to his mouth to contain his laughter.

"This is it. This is the subject I have been searching all my life for. The Marboroshi no Guinzuinshou. The mythical elixar of life that mankind has always been searching for and it's finally here." Junsei said in excitement

"No." Hotaru finally spoke.

"What do you mean, no? Tomoe-san, this is subject that will lead to the discovery of a lifetime, and you don't want to be apart of that?" he asked her with a tinge of impatience.

"It is something that should be left alone. We must only trust something like this to the Queen. I can't explain it, it's just a feeling I have." she answered calmly.

"Your father placed me in the top of decision making and I want to know everything there is about that stone and it's power." he said sternly.

"My father is no longer in charge in how the institution is run, I am. Feel free to research the stone on your own time, but as long as you are an employee of mine, nothing of the sort will take place here." she replied.

He stood from his seat abruptly, but she remained calm in her stance

"Then consider this my resignation." he said coldly. "Give your father my regards for me."

He hurriedly walked towards the door before Hotaru stopped him.

"Junsei, wait. Please try and reconsider. I can't explain it, but, I feel like something terrible is going to happen. You're still free to work on absolutely any other subject other than this, surely you're able to find something much more worthwhile of your time."

Junsei turned back to her and only smiled. It was the first time Demande had seen him smile genuinely.

"It's nothing personal, Tomoe-san, and I'm sorry for raising my voice just now. You and your father are one of the few people I have any respect for in this world. I understand that this may seem frightening to you, this power. But, I will never be able to focus on anything else because nothing else has ever called out to me in the way this incredible power has. Just think of all the things mankind will be able to accomplish with this new extended lifespan, and we'll be there every step of the way to witness all of it. A new sort of evolution."

"I see." Hotaru said defeatedly.

"Just know that the door is always open to you and so, for your sake, I wish you all the luck on your research." she said, forcing a smile at him.

"Goodbye, Hotaru."

The air around Demande started to grow cold, causing him to wince as he shivered to himself.

He was now standing in the dark night atop a balcony.

A clicking noise sounded next to him caused from Junpei who was maneuvering a large telescope as it's optical tube passed through Demande until it finally set on a location.

It pointed down to the royal palace whose domed walls were all lit up from the inside.

Junsei had kept all the lights around his patio completely shut off in order to have the best chance he could at witnessing what would soon happen within those walls.

The faint cries and shouts from a large crowd many floors down below pulled his attention away from the palace and onto the virtual clock that showed the time "11:55" brightly down below.

'It was just 5 minutes left until the year 2027 would end and the year 2028 would bring the year that the power of Marboroshi no Guinzishou would be infiltrated inside every human being. I was determined to find out the method of this power and how it would be unleashed. Thanks to Hotaru leaving me with this telescope as a parting gift, I was able to see every crevice of that building and only waited for the moment of when she would appear.'

Junpei scooted closer into the eyepiece excitedly.

"This is it! This is the moment that will change history forever and I can see it! I can see it all!" he said aloud.

The virtual clock counted down and the crowd shouted the time back one by one in the last 10 seconds.

"10..9..8..7..6..5….!"

"4!"

"3!"

Demande's heart started to race.

"2!"

Junsei placed both hands to the tube to keep it steady.

"1!"

The crowd fell silent and soon the virtual clock shut off as well as the lights around the crowd and then the buildings around them and soon, the whole city.

The world as they knew it was in complete darkness and silence.

What Demande was unable to see that only Junsei was able to witness through the lens of that telescope as it had advanced technology able to brighten and amount of darkness through a filter.

Neo Queen Serenity, dressed in an elaborate white gown appeared with King Endymion alongside her on the roof of the palace. Four other women dressed in sailor fuku who were rumored to be her innermost defense soldiers sporadically appeared and surrounded them.

The Queen raised a long staff that contained the crystal and soon, they all emitted a silver light that encapsulated their bodies until it shot straight into the sky, which caused the blackness of the sky to transform into a silvery white, glow.

Junsei took his eyes from the telescope and now joined what the rest of the world saw as he look up to the bright sky.

Demande couldn't believe that he was really witnessing all of this. It was so bright that he used his arm to shield his eyes, guiding them back over to Junsei.

Junsei had closed his eyes now and lifted his head up and held out his arms out.

A serene smile came over his face as he seemed to be in absolute bliss.

"I...feel...so warm...I feel...happy…" he said calmly to himself.

Demande knew what he was talking about, he could feel the warmth throughout his body as well. It was a beautiful feeling of hope and serenity unlike he had ever experienced before.

He closed his eyes and joined in with Junsei to welcome in the energy as a smile now spread upon his own face.

But, even in his closed eyelids, he was able to tell that the setting around him had completely disappeared as if someone with closed eyes was able to tell that someone shut off the light.

The analogy was all too accurate as it was too dark for him to tell where he was now. He seemed to not be anywhere and only in a void of space.

No matter where he turned and walked, it was all the same.

'Prince Demande,'

Junesi illuminated in front of him.

He looked similar to the man from the vision but was different somehow. He hadn't aged, yet he could tell that Junsei was much more hardened in his appearance and wore different clothes than ones from both the vision and the dream, they didn't fit into either setting.

"You are…" Demande started to say.

"Yes. It is nice to finally become acquainted with you, my descendent and future successor." Junsei answered.

"But it's impossible. You are both dead and yet, haven't even come to exist yet in this time."

"It is due to the Jakakozuishou. You have done well so far in growing it successfully on Earth this time. It is because of you that this is all possible." Junsei said.

"I don't understand, I always learned from stories handed down that you had rejected Crystal Tokyo and the Marboroshi no Ginzuishou but yet, it seems that you welcomed it and even embraced it's power." Demande said in concern.

"I was a 25 year old youth, and won't hide that my mortal naivety back then allowed me to believe in a miracle such as the silver crystal. I wanted you to see that I was as open and optimistic as any other Earth man to the idea in living peacefully in the new Silver Millenium. But I was wrong and you will find out those details soon, unfortunately, this is all that your body will be able to handle for one night. Too much infiltration of the Jakakozuishou can be detrimental to your health and that is the last thing that we need right now."

"Infiltration of Jakakozuishou?"

"Yes, as you read this journal, your level of power will rise exponentially but only allowing portions of it at a time. Once you have completed it, you will be at 100% of the black crystal's power, something that you hadn't even come close to reaching while you ruled Nemesis." Junsei explained.

"What is the end game here? Why is it so important for the Black Crystal to exist?" Demande asked.

"You've seen what is happening around you. The ripple in time you have caused has guided Earth down a dangerous path. If the Sailor senshi fail and Sailor Galaxia wins, what chance do you have at surviving?"

Demande struggled to formulate an answer. It was a possibility he hadn't thought of. He had only ever intended on using his powers to bring back Rubeus and Esmeraude, but, with all that was happening since he had returned to Earth, it just occurred to him that perhaps it will be necessary to continue mastering it, even though he had promised Sapphir they would dispose of it once they got what they needed.

Sapphir, would no doubt adamantly oppose the idea. Despite his cooperation so far with this plan, he can sense apprehension within him still about the black crystal's power.

The man placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry, you have made all the correct decisions so far. Continue as you were and grow the Jakokazuishou's power and revive Rubeus and Esmeraude. But most of all, you must do everything in your power to have the Queen's present self fall in love with you and marry her, even if you have to do it by force."

Demande jerked his head up at the mention of the last part.

"The unionization of Black and Silver crystal will yield an even stronger power, a stronger kingdom that would surpass that of Crystal Tokyo, but, the black crystal must be at it's peak before that can be made possible."

Demande didn't reply readily but continued to be unsure if this was really the right thing to do.

"I just want you to know that I'm glad that it is you who has become to posses my ledger, truly. You and I are alike in many ways as you saw from my memories and that's why I feel compelled to do what I can to help you. Let me have this second chance to make things right, please."

Demande looked in his eyes which seemed sincere, but, he wasn't able to shake off how much he disliked the man when first met him inside his dream.

"From the ruler who founded Nemesis to the ruler who brought the planet into it's newfound Renaissance, I know that you will be able to achieve all that you will ever want as long as you allow me to assist you."

He held out a hand to Demande.

"For Nemesis."

Demande hesitantly brought his own hand to his as he didn't see the disadvantage in joining him since he will finally reach his full potential and revive his fallen comrades much quicker.

The man then suddenly started to disintegrate at his feet, as it traveled slowly up his body.

"Please. Don't go, there's still so much I have to ask you!" Demande exclaimed as he reached toward Junpei.

"You will get your chance, soon enough. Until then, farewell." the smiling man said as he faded away into darkness.
