Thanks for all the reviews! Love all the suggestions and critique. I have decided! I will do a Snily. After all the suggestions you were all giving me and giving me so many ideas I decided it should go in those directions. Thanks for putting up with me. Also, I lied, I'm going to have Remus pov and Severus pov. I have been really struggling with the memory process so enjoy this chapter. There will be a lot more action next.

Remus found Severus had practically planned anything and everything he could think of; which was more than he could say. He had planned to try to get closer to Severus until said Slytherin had managed to probe into his head. That was when he had realised how careless he had been, it was clear Severus had known something was up when he had tried to reign in James and Sirius. He knew more than he led on. Though at first, he couldn't pinpoint much different from him. Until he saw the way he was drifting slowly away from the Slytherin friends who everyone knew were blood purists and into dark magic. Though he wasn't seeming to push away Regulus or Avery, as they seemed to be the ones lingering with him. He knew they were future followers of Voldemort, so he wasn't sure what Severus was trying to do. The last people Remus would have ever seen Severus with would be Xenophilius Lovegood and Mary Davies.

He had been in the library the day that Severus had hexed Corban Yaxley upside down, he had been insulting Severus the only way he knew how. His lineage. It most likely led to Snape joining the Death Eaters in the first place. He had known many Slytherins were prejudiced against Muggleborns but he didn't realise that it swept to Half-Bloods as well. He was sure the stunt he had pulled had put a few of his housemate's against him. Why would he do that?

The two had finally moved to the classroom that Severus had taken. Sitting down to discuss the plan, but something that had bothered him since the train kept poking at him.

Interrupting the awkward silence that had filled the room, he said a quiet, "Severus."

Severus looked at him, urging him to continue. His gaze hitting him like a flash of heat that you would feel stepping out of your house on a particularly warm day.

He never remembered Severus being so intense before.

"They aren't animagus yet," he informed, clearing his throat, "why did you call Sirius mangy? I know you call him a dog quite often enough by itself even before you knew."

Both knew exactly why he had questioned that, he had never called Sirius mangy until he had seen him out of Azkaban.

Snape sat quietly for a moment, refusing to admit this, as he seemed to catalogue the information in his brain, saying, "he looks mangy, his hair is unkempt. Does he know what a brush is? I may admit I got carried away for old times sake but the git's name is the dog star, I had the right."

"Oh," Remus hummed, "you didn't know if he was yet, did you?"

"I admit, no," he relented, "but I assumed using the reference of his ridiculous name's origin would be reason enough to deflect the suspicions. Maybe leave him in a cold sweat."

"You're despicable," he joked, "would you have done the same to me?"

"Yes."

"Have compassion, Severus!" he laughed, letting his guard down just slightly. He still didn't completely trust Snape, but he was willing to break into the Headmaster's office to show him of his innocence. The idea of that made a few drops of sweat form on his brow, he wasn't entirely sure why he had wanted to do it.

Severus looked like he was holding a remark back, sneering a bit. This made Remus sigh, a wariness settling into his chest. He had almost forgotten the animosity still between them. He couldn't blame him, knowing that it was caused by the Marauders. He was one himself. He had been hoping to try and ignite some peace between them, but it hadn't been working out very well. Especially after their last encounter with him. He had managed to get Peter, Sirius, and James without being hit more than once. He was sure he had only let the hex in for a show rather than being unable to dodge it.

Remus set to imagining his younger self being hinted at as a werewolf by Severus. His biggest fear that someone would find out and he would be sent away, ridiculed and hated. He would have spent every hour of the day analysing Snape's actions and words, and he would have to search with this Severus. Search until his eyes strained for a single nick, that single sign that he had been found out and his future was doomed. Thrown into the fire like a lone stick that had been forgotten about for a few years under the rest of the kindling wood.

"Stop it," Severus demanded, snapping Remus out of his thoughts.

"Stop what?"

"Stop mulling."

Remus gave him a frown, not opening up to deny his words. He just gave him a thin-lipped look.

"Hit a nerve, Lupin?" Severus asked dryly, pulling out a journal from his bag which confused him. Was he going to write their plan up for getting into Dumbledore's office? He wouldn't be surprised if he did, he was a lot more collected and thought out than Remus was. He could write it down on his own, he pulled open his bag and searched through it. It wasn't there. He cursed quietly when he realised that he had left it in his trunk in his dorm.

"Tell me where you woke up," he said, sitting on top of the desk with his journal perched on his lap.

"What? Are you interrogating me?" Remus asked, overall confused.

"Would you like one?" Severus asked sarcastically, "I want to know what you know. I assume you do not know as to how we are both here. I have written my own experiences down for research purposes."
"No…"

"Alright, did you die?" he asked, thinking for a moment before he said, "I died at the Battle of Hogwarts, the Dark Lord disposed of me as he found me quite useless alive in the end."

"He killed you?" Remus looked at him in shock, "did he find out about..-?"

"No," Severus cut off curtly, irritation spiking on his face, "I died without the Dark Lord ever finding my true loyalties. Now, answer my question, Lupin."

"I died at the battle too," he informed him, "I went up against Antonin Dolohov. I was outmatched, I do not have that great duelling skills."

"A sadistic bastard."

Remus nodded, shuttering thinking back on the memories of the battle. "How long did you survive before he killed you?"

"Is that your benign way of asking if I saw the end of the war? No, I did not see if Potter won."

"Harry," he mumbled, the name forcing an ache into his heart that he had been ignoring for a while now.

"I wish to change the path we trod on," Severus admitted before changing the subject, "Lupin, we are sidetracking, let's finish this and evaluate our circumstances."

"Alright…"

The next week or so Severus made Remus meet him in the dungeons several times, discussing the Headmaster's office plan. Severus didn't seem too keen on talking to him outside of that, tending to blend himself in with the group of people he had collected to avoid him.

Remus had been shocked to see Severus conspicuously handing off a vial or two to older students, and it reminded him of a muggle drug deal he had seen on the telly. His mother loved crime shows.

The plan was making Remus more and more nervous as the days went by, they hadn't planned a day to get in yet as it seemed Severus was researching something. He wouldn't tell him too much about what he was trying to find, which was understandable, but it made him worry quite a bit. Why did he need to find so many other memories? Severus would probably explain better soon, probably waiting until their plan had taken place. He hadn't exactly placed much trust in him and he was just echoing the distrust back.

Halloween was fast approaching and the halls were beginning to grow more festive.

He sat at the Gryffindor table, sipping at his goblet of pumpkin juice. He had been trying to think of good excuses to use if Snape wanted them to plan again tonight. He was running out of excuses for it and his mates were starting to grow suspicious, or rather concerned because it was drawing nearer to the full moon.

"What's up?" Sirius asked Remus, noticing how restless his friend was looking. "Are you worried?"

Remus understood that he was referencing his furry problems and decided to use it to his advantages. "Yeah," he said, "I always get antsy, y' know?"

"Yeah," Sirius replied, slinging an arm around his shoulder, "it's gonna be alright mate, yeah? We'll be there when you come back."

"As long as you all have breakfast with me like always," he smiled.

"We would never miss," Peter sniffed in a mock offended tone.

James laughed, saying, "of course we wouldn't."

The four sent a few jokes back and forth until Severus became a brunt of one of the jokes. This made Remus uncomfortable, but he wouldn't stand for the bullying any longer. When he became Prefect he wasn't going to let his friends get away with too much this time around, he had decided that during the summer during one of his early mornings with his mother. He planned to make the Marauders see the wrong of their bullying since the moment he had woken up with all his memories. It had been harder than he had expected initially, but the stubbornness the three possessed tended to link together and sometimes it made it hard to get them to see reason.

"That's not funny," he told them quietly, catching Sirius off guard. He had been the one to tell the joke. He was especially bitter about Snape this year. Sirius gave him a bewildered look as if he couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Why? It's Snivellus, he does look like he took a bath in grease. Are you kidding me?"

"No, Sirius," Remus replies, gaining a bit more confidence as he pictured himself scolding a student, he had been having a hard time telling his mates off. "Those jokes aren't funny, Severus may throw insults back at you like that but I have never heard him joking about any of you like that."

"What? Do you hang out with him?" James accused, "I'm sure he says stuff about us just like we do him."

"I don't like it," he said, changing his approach as he grew nervous. He couldn't give them detention and make them write lines. "I don't like any of us fighting. Be better men."

"Oh like Snivelly is trying to," Peter said sarcastically, red in the face from anger.

"Yeah!" Sirius agreed, fuelled by Peter, "he's a greasy twerp."

"I do not see how you are acting any better," Remus ground out, finding himself shocked at his words. Maybe he should imagine his mates as his students a little more often…

James seemed to be put out by his sentence, showing that Remus' words were getting into his head. He was starting to get his point, but Sirius and Peter were blinded by the fact that he was defending Snape. He supposed it was fair because he had never spoken up about the treatment before, he was trying to be less passive this time around. He wasn't willing to lose all his friends again and if that meant they had to respect Severus who was a skilled wizard then he would make them. If anyone had the chance to change everything it was Snape.

"Did Snivellus hex you into saying that?"

"No."

"How can we be so sure?" Peter asked bitterly.

Remus could see how Peter was feeding into Sirius' misguided thinking. How long had he been doing that for? He remembered him being a follower but never fuelling the higher power so adamantly. He was going to be a Death Eater...Remus would have to find a way to change that. He was still debating that plan though.

At least James looked like he was going to be reasonable for once.

"Yeah," James finally said after an internal battle, he had a sour look on his face, "for all we know he could have used Imperio on you so he can ambush us. He's a Death Eater in the making!"

More like Peter was...

"Give him some decency!" Remus expressed with exasperation, "for all I know you are using the map to ambush him!"

"It's not complete."

There was no denial.

"Oh, like that would stop you three. Why can't you be civil for one minute?"

Sirius gawked at him, "Remus what are you on-?"

"Nothing," Remus replied stiffly, calmly standing up. He was growing annoyed at them and didn't think he could handle much more of their criticism. He was trying to keep his friends. He had to think of a way to get to them better. Best to bring it up with Severus, he was sure he would be willing to give him some idea that he could develop. Even if it would be sarcasm.

"Hey..where are you going?" Sirius gave him a concerned look, "are you alright?"

"I am going to go and try and not hex you," Remus shot back in a whisper, "none of you are listening to me."

"C'mon Remus, it is all in good fun!"

Remus ignored them and neared the doors to the Great Hall, but before he left he glanced over at the Slytherin table. He made eye contact with Severus, who looked to have been watching the exchange. A bit of curiosity was sitting in his eyes, but his face did not show it. He gave a slight nod to tell him to meet at the classroom.

Unbeknownst to Remus, a certain Marauder had caught sight of the small exchange.

"We will do it tomorrow," Snape stated simply as he checked over a boiling cauldron, "it is the perfect time to do it. If we are caught after hours I can say you are feeling sick, since all staff know about your furry problems."

"Were you waiting for it to get closer to the full moon?" Remus asked with a small frown, watching as Severus stirred the purple liquid. He remembered seeing him start the potion a few days ago, he had yet to ask what it was. He had seen Severus make plenty of potion over their discussions.

He didn't recognise it, like most of them, but he wasn't very skilled in identifying many potions except the ones that Madam Pomfrey gave him to lessen the pain.

"No, we have already discussed the plan in great detail. I was waiting until I had some information before we would take action," Severus stated, staring into the cauldron, "your problems only just help make the plan easier."

"How? I know we are going to sneak in at night and you'll show me the memories. Why tomorrow night?"

"I may have overheard from McGonagall and Slughorn that the Headmaster will be out collecting something for Hagrid instead of in his office, as it is closing in on the Halloween feast," he explained, "it is a perfect opportunity. We will be viewing more than just my memories, Lupin. I do not intend to watch mine with you."

"I know," Remus fidgeted, "how did you overhear that?"

"I used my father's death to my advantage," he stated simply as if everything made sense.

Remus blinked in surprise, "what? I'm so sorry Sever-"

"No need," he said, giving him a bit of a glare. He turned away and pulled out a small organ from his bag and began to cut it on a transfigured cutting board.

It looked rather repulsive to Remus, but Severus made no move to tell him what creature gave it up for whatever potion he was making.

Remus pondered over Severus' words remembering how he had missed Halloween this year because of the full moon, "how many memories will we be able to see before we get caught? What do those memories really have to do with You-Know-Who?"

"Who says we will be caught?" Severus raised his eyebrow, ignoring the other question.

Remus flushed, "I don't know."

"I do hope you do not plan to inform anyone of our plans," he continued giving him a smirk, "that would get you in trouble as well."

"I'm not going to!"

"A mere joke, Lupin."

"Oh…" Remus felt ignorant, "you're hard to read."

Severus' lips upturned into a sneer, "I would hope so."

"No need to be so defensive, will you send a note or should I wait until a certain time? We haven't discussed how I will be getting out of the tower."

"I thought you would have found yourself capable of planning that yourself," Severus informed as he lowered the heat on the cauldron and carefully started to shred some sort of herb, "nonetheless, I have thought this through, I know the apes you call mates would most likely have a fit if you went exploring without them. I say you excuse yourself and find a Prefect and tell them you are feeling ill."

"What if they try and take me to professor McGonagall?" Remus asked, once again feeling ignorant. He ignored the way he referred to his best mates.

"Insist they take you to the infirmary themselves, without your monkeys following. You've gotten the puppy eyes down, haven't you?"

"Puppy eyes? They aren't monkeys…"

"Focus! I will get rid of the Prefect and we can head towards the Headmasters office."

"Do you know the password?"

Severus sighed, "Lupin I would have expected you to have some idea of what it could be after spending a year as a professor here."

"Hey!" Remus said, pondering over his words, "it's always a type of sweet."

"Bingo. We can either play the guessing game all night or learn something useful from the Prefect."

"Severus! Forcing information out of someone is crude!"

"Who said I was forcing when they could just think about it?" Severus gave him a hint of a smile.

This unnerved Remus, who didn't say anything. He could never tell what Severus was thinking but he supposed that was what made him a good spy.

"Would you like to go a different route then? I would like to hear an alternative that you so brilliantly thought out."

"No, I don't have one. I'll be ready. It is a good plan, Severus," Remus said softly, pausing, "were you always this sarcastic?"

Severus didn't grace him with an answer and just continued to tend to his potion.

Remus sighed, started to collect his things. He was sure Severus didn't want his presence besides to speak of the plan.

Severus waved his hand over the potion, putting a stasis charm over. He wouldn't botch the potion, it would be ready before the full moon. Though it was unlikely that Lupin would need it until after. Between his research of people associated with the muggle Riddle family, Gaunts, and Voldemort himself he had been refreshing upon the concepts that went behind pain-relieving potions, which he had brought some of those concepts to create a pain reliever for Lupin.

He had written himself a whole page of what concepts went behind the famous, not yet created, Wolfsbane potion as well. It would be published in 1976 if he recalled correctly. He was sure it would alleviate the ache of the aftermaths of transformations that a normal potion just couldn't do.

He wouldn't tell the wolf that though, he was practically a test subject as he did not know any other werewolves nor did he have the disease himself. He most likely would have used his youth researching and perfecting some sort of cure if Lupin had changed him that night. He wouldn't have let the fact that Lycanthropy was stated as an incurable disease get in his way.

The purple liquid that shined at him looked promising so far. He was sure it would get rid of aches from a horrible beating or torture if taken by a normal wizard.

He also wouldn't admit that he was making this to help Lupin and instead concluded that it was to get the wolf back on his feet faster so he could help him with their next task. Finding the Horcruxes to defeat the Dark Lord before he had the chance to ever target Lily...and Lupin's Marauders.

He was waiting until Remus found more trust in him before revealing all the information he was collecting about the Horcruxes. He still had only knowledge of three Horcruxes, and he was sure there had to be more. Why would the Dark Lord stop at three?

Finding Remus' endless questions annoying he began to pack his things. He had a letter to send off to his mother and he would rather get it done before tomorrow night. Vex was a fine owl, though he had learned the hard way that she did have quite an attitude. He expected nothing different from an owl his mother gave him.

He stopped Remus from opening the door, having sent the rest of his Marauders on a goose chase through the dungeons. He had seen them follow him when he had left for dinner and he could only assume one of them had seen the glance between him and Remus. No one had breached the wards yet, but he wanted to be sceptical that the hall wouldn't have at least one of them the second they left the classroom.

He would rather not give up the classroom to find a new one because of the dunderheads. At least they would never be able to get in and destroy his work.

Remus gave him a questioning look.

"Let me leave first," he said, slinging his bag over his shoulder securely.

"Why?"

Severus rolled his eyes, "because, Lupin, whatever heated discussion you had with your monkeys had them watching you like hawks and they saw you look at me."

"What?" Remus paled, "they did?"

"If you paid attention more you would have noticed, I had to lose them on my way here."

"I'm sorry.."

"I expected nothing less from those buffoons."

Severus opened the classroom door and walked out casually. He stood still and pretended he was digging through his worn bag for something. When he couldn't sense anyone's presences besides Lupin he nodded letting the other know it was fine to exit.

"See you tomorrow, Severus. Be careful."

Remus walked away towards the exit to the Dungeons while Severus turned and locked the classroom. He turned and walked down the hall going the opposite way. He would wander a moment or two to make sure that Remus was not seen with him.

If the rest of the Marauders wanted a fight, they would get one if they found him. He wasn't very willing to have a duel in the dungeons, but he could easily stun them and continue on his night.

Just as he expected after turning down a few halls, heading towards the Slytherin common room like he was none the wiser he could feel someone's presence. It was soon joined by two more.

Severus turned around, staring at the empty hallway. He was done with the theatrics.

"I suggest you find yourself a better hobby," he drawled, "of course, I am sure you don't have anything better to do."

Sirius was the first to make his appearance from around the corner. His wand drawn and pointing towards Severus.

Peter followed next, staying considerably behind Sirius but his wand drawn.

James then took a few hesitant steps out, his wand in his hand but lowered towards the ground. Severus gave him a raised eyebrow wondering how Pettigrew had more confidence in this attack than he did. He looked almost guilty for being there.

"What did you do to Remus?" Sirius demanded, eyes gleaming.

"I did nothing to him," he replied, "I'm sure it was your incompetence that did something to him."

He growled at the insult and jabbed his wand in his direction. Though he refrained from hexing, a wise choice. "You have nothing better to do than try and ruin friendships, do you?"

"I am doing no such thing, you're ruining your friendship by not putting trust in whatever Lupin babbles."

James stayed silent.

"Sod off," Peter put in, "you obviously made him say those things. Using him like a coward."

What things?

Severus hissed, anger growing at the way he referred to him as a coward. "You're the only coward here," he seethed, "standing behind Black like he's a shield, you're just feeding him what he wants to hear."

James' eyes widened a bit at the statement and the amount of anger put into it. "Mate," he started, "let's go. He hasn't done anything to Remus."

Sirius bristled in anger at James' dismissal. "Of course he has!" he accused, "Remus would never say those things!"

"Well maybe he's just fed up with our antics," he tried to argue.

"He's got you under a spell too!" Peter squeaked, "you're spouting barmy!"

Severus' eyes narrowed at Pettigrew, he was feeding the higher power. Which was Black at the moment, which rang oddly to him. It tended to be James who led the expeditions on ambushing him. He was starting to grow an idea of what could have been said during the discussion at dinner.

He deflected a hex that shot straight at him, and he shot two hexes in quick succession that caused Pettigrew and Black to be thrown upside down. The two shouted in surprise.

"Expelliarmus!" Severus and James cast at the same and both Peter's and Sirius' wands flew out of their grasps.

Severus caught Black's while James got a hold of Pettigrew's. Once that was done the two stared at each other.

"What do you want?" Severus demanded, unsure of the other teenager's motives. "If you want civility you might want to rethink your request."

"Sirius' wand," James started nervously, obviously afraid that he would be caught in the air himself.

"Traitor!" Peter gasped.

"James!" Sirius cried in outrage, but his rant was cut short when Severus whipped his hand at the two in the air. Both began to yell in silence.

Severus just stared at James, eyes narrowed into slits. He made no move to give back the requested wand.

"I," James stumbled for words, "I'll get them to leave you alone, you didn't do anything to Remus."

"How observant of you," he responded, realising that he wasn't gaining any satisfaction for outsmarting the Marauders. He found that fighting with them felt childish. When had he liked it in the first place? Great, now James was being reasonable and he had lost any sort of entertainment he could have bothering the Marauders.

He stalked over to Potter and dropped Black's wand in his grasp. "Be sure that you do," he hissed, "I would hate for your toenails to ruin your expensive shoes."

He waved his hand and the two in the air came tumbling down and continued his way towards the Owlery.

How dare Potter just act like that? He was playing himself up as the hero, how typical!

Severus climbed the stairs and into the main corridor, his mood radiating off of him and other people began to part their way for him. They knew how nasty he could be, it wasn't like it was a secret.

Halfway towards his descent to the owlery, someone stepped up to his side.

"The nargles are running away from you," Xenophilius mused, refusing to be scared by Severus' bad mood. "A shame really, they have just stolen my essay for Herbology."

"Are you sure it wasn't a housemate?" Severus snapped, having no patience to deal with Xenophilius.

"I'm sure," Xenophilius smiled, "just have to look a bit. I'm going to have tea with the Grey Lady, would you like to join me?"

"No."

"Oh, she enjoys the company, but I do have to drink her cup of tea for her. Makes her feel included."

Severus started to climb the stairs to the Owlery, Xenophilius behind him a few steps. Once they got into Owlery itself the birds hooting and trilling at the sight of them. It wasn't as full as the place usually was as many of the owls were out and flying around for their dinners.

He made his way towards Vex who was peering at him lazily from her perch. "A letter," he said absentmindedly, ignoring the way Xenophilius began to coo and scratch Vex's neck affectionately.

"She's a darling," he said, suddenly digging in his pocket and pulling out some owl treats. Vex took one eagerly.

"Where did you get those?" Severus asked, exasperated.

"I like to keep them on me for the owls," Xenophilius explained, "I like to try and give all the owls treats if I have enough, feel bad leaving them out."

Severus hummed to show he was listening to him, thinking the bloke was barmy for trying to be fair to all the owls. He dug out the letter for his mother as well as a few galleons, dropping them in the envelope he sealed it with his wand. He tied it to Vex's leg and gave her a scratch of appreciation. She nipped at his finger in affection.

"To mum, please."

"Good owl," Xenophilius cooed, "have a nice trip."

Vex hooted appreciatively in his direction before she flapped her wings and took off into the evening sky. They both watched her disappear from view.

"Would you like to accompany me for tea with the Grey Lady?" Xenophilius asked again disrupting the silence, a hopeful look on his face.

Severus looked over at him with a glare. He opened his mouth to deny again but sighed instead. "I suppose," he relented, he didn't have anything better to do. Lily was studying for a test and he wasn't sure where Mary was.

"We should invite Regulus," he suggested so he did not have to suffer through the ordeal alone.

Xenophilius seemed delighted at the suggestion. "Oh yes! Mary too!"

Severus and Xenophilius had found Mary on their way towards the Slytherin common room, as well as Lily. She seemed to be putting in last-minute studying as the group of girls were being ushered out of the library. Mary had been with Lily, who had her two Gryffindor friends. Mary MacDonald and Marlene McKinnon.

Xenophilius had sprung the invitation to all four girls, making Severus annoyed. They all agreed though Lily had to convince her two Gryffindor friends when they had hesitated after seeing Severus. He would have rather not that the two not have joined, but he was just glad that Lily was attending when he hadn't expected her to in the first place. They had made it to the dorms where Severus had gone and retrieved Regulus.

"Regulus," he'd said, seeing him playing chess with another third year.

"Severus?" he questioned looking at him.

"Xenophilius had invited you to tea with the Ravenclaw ghost," he informed simply, already regretting having agreed to the request back in the Owlery.

Regulus perked up before he looked over at his peer then looking back at Severus with a nervous gleam. "Oh, can Urbek come?"

Urbek looked nervous at suddenly being invited somewhere. He tugged on his long brown hair nervously.

"Fine," Severus snapped knowing how Xenophilius would love to have more company. He recognised Urbek as a future Death Eater, Urbek Beckham. He died early on in the war when he had defected but his Hufflepuff twin, Raoul, had climbed his way up the Dark Lord's ranks.

Severus found himself sitting cross-legged in a circle of people when he rather is sitting comfortably in his bed reading a potions textbook. He would have decided against the aspect of tea if Lily had not agreed to come.

He sat in between her and Regulus, Urbek on the other side of him and Mary MacDonald on her other free side. He was uncomfortable sitting by anyone else. Marlene, Xenophilius, and Ravenclaw Mary all politely conversed to the Grey Lady. Severus had decided to nickname the Marys' with their houses.

The ghost had been shocked by the company that Xenophilius had brought for their usual tea time. She had been wary of the Slytherin boys but was warming up to them and the rest of the crowd quite nicely. When no one talked to you besides a lone fourth-year Ravenclaw you were sure to welcome the nice change.

"Xenophilius decided to invite half the castle, didn't he?" Lily joked, elbowing him in the side gently.

"Yes," Severus replied, a bit stiff.

"You can say that," Regulus put in with an uncomfortable clearing of his throat, "I thought it would just be Xeno and Severus."

Urbek listened to the conversation politely, looking awkward. The Gryffindor Mary had started to talk to the Grey Lady.

"The four of them were an added gift, I suppose?" Severus stated sarcastically with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes…"

Regulus didn't seem to like the number of people who were all having tea, and Severus sympathized with him internally. He didn't find it much enjoyable either.

"So, uh, Urbek is it?" Lily started, trying to include the other Slytherin in the conversation.

"Yes, Urbek Beckham," he said with uneasiness. He reminded Severus of Neville Longbottom.

"Handful of a name," she commented, giving a slight giggle, "so how's Hogwarts been for you?"

Severus stopped listening to the conversation, letting it buzz in his ears, for the first time since he had arrived here at Hogwarts he felt at peace. Despite the earlier events that had occurred.

The peace was sure to end by tomorrow night.

Also I wanna personally thank badkidoh for your suggestions! I would have never thought of some of that stuff! You're really helpful. And to that one guest commenters that commented a chapter ago, you're also really helpful.
