Chapter 11: The Dark Future:

Enter Demon King Salamandas

Beach City: 31 years in the future.

Beach City, small town that was known for it's inhabitants of gems and humans was now a dark city, run by Gara Droids and reincarnations of King Salamandas. The sky was red and there was no green around. Demon King Salamandas, the bio mechanical Gara Droid made by Gien, ruled the Earth with an iron fist, spreading fear and destruction around the world. Beach City was his first target and Steven along with most of the Crystal Gems were his first victims. What used to be the temple was now his castle. Every year to celebrate his coming, King Salamandas would choose a major city at random to destroy and then rebuild to be part of his empire. He called it Salamandas Day. Any humans that survived were taken in as slaves to build it. We then move to what was once Little Homeworld, now destroyed and in it's place was a stadium, that was where his games, the Tournament of Death would hold.

At the stadium.

The audience of Gara Droids and reincarnations were cheering ready for the fight. In the balcony area for the King, his reincarnations Char, Malaka, Sargane. Malaka stepped up and spoke.

Malaka: Quiet down. Quiet down! I present to you, our founder of our world. The invincible, the mighty, the feared, the one and only, Demon King Salamandas!

The audience cheered as entering the balcony was King Salamandas. He stepped up and waved to his subjects.

King Salamandas: My loyal subjects. We are gathered here today to witness this weeks Tournament of Death! Bring out the fighters. Yes.

In the ring, the doors opened as two gems were forced out. One was Biggs and the other was Ocean Jasper. Two Quartz gems that were both corrupted into a similar monster are now forced to fight each other.

King Salamandas: Contestants, you are here for treason against my rule. Normally the penalty is death, but I am willing to give the two of you a chance to live. That is to be part of my army. You will fight till one of you is shattered and the winner will have the honor to duel me.

Biggs: No, I refuse to fight my friend.

Ocean Jasper: I won't do it either!

The audience boo'd at them. King Salamdas just looked down at them with an evil smile.

King Salamandas: I don't think you have a choice.

King Salamandas held a remote and pressed the button and the collars around the gems necks electricuted them and forced their bodies to move.

King Salmandas: You will fight to the death. Now, choose your weapon! Yes.

A rack of weapons appeared to them and they reluctantly chose their weapon. Biggs had a mace while Ocean had a large hammer and they got into position and looked at each other.

King Salamandas: And begin!

But they didn't move and refused to fight. This angered Salamandas as he took the remote and controlled their bodies with a shock.

King Salamandas: I said begin!

The collars shocked the two gems and took control of their bodies as they fought each other. Their weapons clashed and the two fought, dodging and blocking each attack.

Ocean Jasper: I'm sorry! I'm not doing this on purpose!

Biggs: You're forgivin!

But then Biggs hits her hands, making Ocean lose her hammer and hits her again on the chest knocking her down. Before Ocean could get up, Biggs placed her foot ontop of her and looked down. The audience was cheering and King Salamandas looked down with an evil grin.

King Salamandas: Finish her!

The audience were chanting to finish her as well. Ocean looked up at Biggs who had a hesitant look.

Biggs: No...

King Salamandas looked down angered and took out the remote again.

King Salamandas: I said finish her!

King Salamandas pressed the button on the remote, shocking Biggs as she let out a yell and threw down her mace at Ocean. She did it again, and again and again until her body poofed and her gem shattered.

Malaka: Winner!

The audience cheered as Biggs looked down at the remains of her friends gem, and tears coming down.

Biggs: I'm so sorry.

King Salamandas got up and flew down the ring and stepped up to Biggs.

King Salamandas: And now for the final round. Fight me. Show me your strength and prove to me you're worthy to be part of my army.

Biggs: I'd never join you. I'm doing this to avenge my friend.

King Salamadas: We shall see about that. But first, give me a good fight. You move first.

Biggs: Will do.

Biggs ran full force at King Salamandas with rage, wanting to avenge Ocean. Biggs tried hitting him with her mace, he dodged away effortlessly.

King Salamandas: Come on, you gotta faster than that. Hit me! Yes.
Biggs tried hitting him again, but then he slapped her away with his tail.

King Salamandas: You left yourself open. Are you even trying?

Biggs had it with him taunting her and tried hitting him with the mace, this time he didn't dodge but rather grabbed the spiked part of the mace, but missing the spikes. He then looked at her with a dissapointed look.

King Salamandas: This is clearly going nowhere.

King Salamandas faced the palm of his hand at her and an energy beam fired at her. She fell back but then he suddenly appeard kicking her up in the air and flying up quickly punching her to the ground. He flew down at her at high speed and point his hand at her.

King Salamandas: Fire Claw!

King Salamandas hand was lighting on fire and soon landed down making a firey explosion. The smoke cleared up and showed King Salamandas standing holding out the shattered remains of Biggs.

Malaka: Our winner! All Hail Demon King Salamandas!

Audience: All Hail Demon King Salamandas!

The audience cheered for him, however King Salamandas left the ring, with a disappointed look.

At the Gara Droid factory.

King Salamandas and his henchmen stopped by at the first of his many Gara Droid factories in Beach City. He entered the building and saw the mechanical factory showing Gara Soldiers, Aeordroids and Black Knight Droids being built. He was walking towards the backroom. He opened the doors and entered the main control room, in the center was the head of Viggo Stryker, on a pedastal and wires and cables connected to him. He opened his eyes and saw King Salamandas approach him.

Viggo: King Salamandas.

King Salamandas: Viggo Stryker, how goes progress on the next shippment of soldiers for the upcoming Salamandas Day?

Viggo: No need to worry my liege. They will be ready by the end of the week. Three days before Salamandas Day.

King Salamandas: Excellent. Yes.

Viggo: So tell me, have you finally rid of the son of Steven Universe?

King Salamandas: That is still being worked on. Yes.

Viggo: Still nothing. What have I expected?

King Salamandas: What did you say to me?

Viggo: We made you over 16 years ago to carry out our Master, your creator's wish. Sure you managed to take over the Earth and kill a majority of the Crystal Gems, yet you're having trouble killing a rebellious kid.

King Salamandas: He is no trouble killing. The trouble is finding the rebel base.

Viggo: Yes that's right. All this time and you still can't find them.

King Salamandas: Don't insult your king Viggo. I'm fixing everything that you all failed to from the start. I've given you a purpose. Yes.

Viggo: Purpose? You destroyed my body and left me a head!

King Salamandas: Now Viggo, you know I couldn't take chances of how you often disagreed with my rule and your attempt to put me down. Snaptrap was foolish to go against me and I reduced him to scrap. You could have suffered the same fate, but I found a purpose for you. Making you my top egineer of the main Gara Droid factory, using your creation matrix in your head to operate this place. You're my top engineer.

Viggo: Egineer or slave?

King Salamandas: Oh you're just being dramatic. But I must go now. Today's Tournament of Death was disappointing. Just get the work done Viggo. Yes.

King Salamandas leaves.

Viggo: ( groans) Not like I can stop anyway.

Later at the castle.

King Salamandas, Char, Malaka and Sargane sat together in the dining room eating. One of the robot servents approached King Salamandas pouring him some more wine. As he drank he heard footsteps coming from behind. It was Huntress.

Huntress: King Salamandas.

King Salamandas: Huntress, how goes the patrol in the city?

Huntress: No signs of the rebels anywhere. They've been pretty quiet after their last defeat.

King Salamandas: Indeed they have.

Huntress: You think they've given up?

King Salamandas: No, of course not. As long as Grey is alive they won't stop. They're plotting something. I know it. Yes.

Sargane: We will find them my lord. Those rebels will not hide from us for long.

King Salamandas: I still don't understand why we haven't found them. They've been really pestering me.

Char: My lord are you alright? You look worried.

King Salamandas: I know they're plotting something Char. They've been raiding factories and once my castle for things.

Char: But my lord. There should be nothing to worry about. Steven Universe and the Crystal Gems were no match and later when the Cluster emerged you took it down with ease and that thing has been fully removed out of the Earth. Even if Gray was at full power he is no match for you.

King Salamandas: Char, are you saying I am wrong is that it?

Char: Uh, no my lord. I was just uh...concerned.

Malaka: Hold on, has anyone seen Skekung?

Huntress: And Spinel. Where is she?

Sargane: Last I heard Skekung went with Spinel on a recon mission, saying she may have found where the rebels are.

King Salamandas: It's been a couple days now. She should have reported me...AAH!

King Salamandas dropped his chalice of wine and held his head, breathing heavily.

Malaka: Sire, what is it?

King Salamandas: Skekung...he's dead.

Everyone in the room had a shocked look.

Sargain: Skekung! Our brother!

Char: How? Was it Gray?

King Salamandas: It had to be. So he managed to actually take him down.

Huntress: What about Spinel?

King Salamandas: I'm not sure, she's not connected to me like the others.

Huntress looked away with a worried look for her.

King Salamandas: But...

Huntress: But what?

King Salamandas: I can't sense where he died. Only the last estimated area he was at.

Char: What is that area?

King Salamandas looked up with an evil smile on his face and started to chuckle.

King Salamandas: The rebel base. Yes.

We then cut to the rebel base at the forge where everyone was healing and near the time machine. Sapphire was checking up with Lars, Bismuth had just finished repairng the wall Skekung and Spinel bursted through an

Future Connie: I sure hope Gray is okay.

Future Bismuth: Hey have faith in your kid Connie. He's a tough soldier. And hey, he's probably meeting everyone and his dad. Let him have the moment.

Future Lars: Fighting with him all these years, he can take care of himself.

Future Peridot: I hope he met Lapis. Remember how he said he had dreams of a blue girl. Surprised out of everyone he vaguely remembered her.

Future Sapphire: I'm sure Garnet must love him. I know Ruby would...( gasps).

Future Sapphire gasped and got up with a scared look.

Future Bismuth: What's wrong?

Future Sapphire: He know's where we are.

Author's Note: That's it for this chapter. I am so sorry it's been forever. I guess with my Owl House story I've been setting my attention to that.
