She was sleeping, his angel. He'd managed to slip away and stop by the hospital wing before leaving. He knew they'd be searching the castle for him. Let them look, they'd never think to look for him here. She was so peaceful right now, so willing to believe in the good in everything. It was that trait of hers that had changed everything.

He thought about how she had saved him. She'd stolen a time turner, used it go back to just before he'd lost his soul. He'd been sitting there, watching as the dementors assembled. He'd thought it was all over. His whole life, his goals, everything was over. He'd been living on borrowed time anyway. His own mother had died in his stead, a grievance he still held over his father. He should have saved them both! Then she appeared in a glow of light. An angel, although she claimed she wasn't.

"I believe in you," she'd whispered before taking his hand in her small one. She was just a kid, but the look in her eyes, the belief she felt that maybe he could be something. That was all it took. He was willing to do just about anything for her. She would be saved in the end, her kindness would be rewarded

He'd been working with his Lord for so long, believing his promises for so long without the rewards he'd been promised. Now, he was free. He gave her a kiss on the forehead. He would remember her name, Luna. He'd come find her again, his angel, after he'd made a name for himself, after he had finished what the Dark Lord started. Barty Crouch jr was going to be the next Dark Lord, all because a little blond haired girl with big blue eyes had believed in him.
