"Hey, any comments yet on our latest post?" James asked, rolling out of bed and wandering over to Sirius.
"Haven't checked yet, Prongs," he grumbled, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He turned on the laptop and set it at the foot of his bed. James climbed into the bed next to him.
"I bet everyone loved it, I mean, it was hilarious and our best prank to date," he laughed, anticipating all the comments they had gotten over night.
Finally the laptop started up, technology always seemed to be super slow in the dorm rooms. Remus had a theory it was to keep people from doing certain things. Peter thought it was just because the dorm rooms were old and made out of thick grey stone.
"Oh, it's loading! Look, there's our video, and...wow, over a two thousand hits so far!" James yelled, causing Remus and Peter to wake. Remus sighed, putting a pillow over his head. Peter scampered from his bed over to James and Sirius.
"Read the comments out loud," he squeaked.
"Alright, first one, 'this is horrible! I can not believe you treat that poor boy like that. You should be ashamed of yourselves,'" James read. He wrinkled his nose.
"That wasn't very nice," he muttered. "Maybe the next one will be better."
Sirius grabbed the laptop.
"Let me see that. 'You boys are nothing but bullies! If I were your mum I'd have you over my knee with a belt!'"
"Rude!" Peter exclaimed. "How can they not think our prank was the best thing ever? It had everything!"
"I did, there must be at least one person who liked it. Here, 'Brilliant!' see that's a good start! 'You torture a boy and call it a prank, I will be writing your headmaster and having you expelled for your behavior using this video as proof.' # Marauders equal bullies.'," James finished staring at the screen.
"Are they all like this? These are awful," Peter asked, scooting closer to James and reading the screen for himself. They scrolled down the hundreds of comments, none of them were in favor of what the Marauders had done.
"Do you really think Dumbledore's going to expel us over this?"
"Nah, he's never cared about what we've done before. Ignore these haters, by lunchtime, our true loyal viewers will have woken up and praised us for the the awesomeness we posted," James stated. Sirius nodded, hanging on James' every word. Remus had given up trying to go back to sleep at this point and was wondering if maybe they'd made a mistake, maybe this wasn't funny after all, maybe like the comments said, it was just wrong?
Lunchtime came and Sirius pulled out the laptop again, setting it on a small coffee table in their common room.
"Let's see, there should be plenty of comments saying how amazing we are," James said, clicking to the page. Instead of seeing their video, there was an error message saying it had been removed for violating Youtube's policy on bullying. The four of them stared at the screen.
"They took it down," Sirius whispered.
""So, this is either really good or really bad. I mean, it means people are watching it and with Youtube taking it down, that means it will make our loyal followers mad, which means they'll be up in arms and fighting for us. We should repost it, maybe with different tags, see if we can't force Youtube to see our brilliance?"
"Maybe we shouldn't? I mean, maybe they're right and it was wrong?" Remus asked, only for Sirius and James to roll their eyes at him.
"We'll repost it tomorrow, let our loyal viewers know Youtube is trying to censor us, that should cause some of them to know who the enemy is," Sirius stated. James and Peter nodded in unison as an owl flew in through the open window and landed on the table, nearly knocking the laptop off.
"It's from Dumbledore, he wants to see the four of us in his office,"Remus read, his face paling.
"He's not going to expel us, Moony. He didn't for that time you almost killed Snivilius, so why would he do it now, come on, he's probably wanting to know what happened to the awesomest video ever," James said, jumping to his feet and leading his friends from the tower.
