"Who's that?" Jay asked only to be responded by silence.
"Jay-"
"GET AWAY FROM ME!" Jay yelled.
"Dude, it's just me, Morro," the voice said.
"Were you the one who ask that?" Jay questioned.
"Ask what?" Morro queried.
"If it's not you, then," Jay murmured. "Who is it?"
"Who is who?" Morro asked.
"Nevermind," Jay said. "Why are you here?"
"Mom just wanted to make sure you're not ditching training," Morro replied.
"Okay then," Jay answered as he got up from the bed and left the room.
On the way to training, Morro and Jay are chatting.
"Remember when we call Nick mom the whole day?" Jay queried.
"Oh yeah, that was so hilarious," Morro replied just before smirking. "Hey, still remember that time you're so head over heels for Cole."
"Oh c'mon, I wanna forget about that," Jay whined.
"You do realize that it was mutual, right?" Morro asked a smirk is still on his face.
"Wait, it was?" Jay questioned.
Morro just laugh at how oblivious Jay was leaving the other very confused and shocked.
"Yeah dude," Morro answered still snickering. "It was his idea to make you that Treehouse for your birthday."
"Really?!" Jay exclaimed.
"Yep, he said that you wouldn't stop blabbering about having a treehouse," Morro stated.
"Oh," is all what Jay could say.
"So, are your powers going haywire?" Morro asked.
"Can you keep a secret?" Jay retorted.
"If you mean by secret that Cole knows about it then yes," Morro responded.
"Good," Jay stated. "Well, a few weeks after the Day of the Departed, sparks are sparking in my fingers and caused only mine and Cole's room to have a mini brownout."
"Oh, one more question," Morro told Jay.
"What is it?"
"You two seem to know the story Wu told us awhile ago," Morro stated.
"What do you mean?" Jay tried to lie and unexpectedly succeeded.
"You know what?" Morro started. "Forgot I even asked that, just go train already."
"Okay," Jay replied as he watched Morro phased through a wall.
After training,
"Man, that was so tiring," Kai said as he flopped himself in a bean bag.
"I second that," Lloyd follows sitting on the couch.
"I think it's safe to say we all second that," Zane stated sitting down.
"When was the last time we're this tired?" Nya asked.
"I think it's when we cleaned the museum after the Day of the Departed," Cole answered.
Jay was looking at his hands, so quiet the whole time. Everyone was starting to worry.
They were about to ask him about it, that is until Morro came in and said, "There's a mini package outside for Nicholas."
Everyone (and by everyone, I mean Lloyd, Kai, and Zane), we're hella confused.
"I don't recall someone here having the name 'Nicholas'," Zane said.
"Same here,"
"Me too,"
"You guys sure about that?" Morro smirked looking at Cole.
And Cole just gave him an unamused face heading to the front door.
"Wait," Kai started. "Cole's full name is Nicholas?"
"Yes and I hate it!" Cole yelled from afar.
"But how did you know that?" Lloyd asked.
"We met when we were younger," Cole explained (probably for the last time) as he walks into the room. He was holding a box when he came in.
"So," Nya started. "Who's it from?"
"From my Ma and Pa," Cole responded putting it in the box.
"Ma and Pa?" Lloyd asked confusedly. (He's thinking Ma = Mother and Pa = Father)
"His grandparents," Jay revealed.
"Okay, who agrees that we should play Two Truths, One Lie?" Kai queried.
"Is that even necessary?" Zane questioned.
"Isn't it obvious, Zane? Of course, it is," Kai answered. "Cuz Mr. Nicholas here has more secrets than my hair strands."
"I don't think one can have 100,000 secrets," Zane replied.
"I- You know what I mean," Kai retorted.
Little did they know, while they're having their chat, the others are already beside Cole and his box.
"Woah, you're Ma drew that," Morro asked pointing at the beautifully drawn butterflies.
"Yep," Cole answered. "She loves butterflies so much, I think that's the only thing she draws."
While admiring the beautiful drawings, a picture fell out of the sketchbook. Zane saw it and picked it up.
It was a family picture that includes: a man with almond skin tone and black hair, a woman with blonde hair and heterochromatic eyes; one blue and one green, and two girls; one is older. The older girl has black hair and green eyes, while the younger one has blonde hair and blue eyes.
Zane was very intrigued by this picture and decided to ask Cole about it.
"Cole, do you mind telling who these are?" Zane asked handing Cole the picture.
"Well, this one's my Pa, this woman is my Ma, she's my Mom and…" Cole's voice then trailed off. "I, I don't think I've met her in my whole life."
'It's her again.'
Before anyone can say anything a chicken came in making everyone but Cole, Jay, and Morro jump from fear.
"Hey there, bud," Jay said petting the chicken.
"It's just a chicken," Morro stated. "What's so scary about it?"
"It's not just a chicken," Kai stuttered. "It's a–"
"It's a walking, clucking beast of doom!" Lloyd yelled.
"There's nothing to be afraid of guys," Cole assured. "It's like a dog, it can sense if you're afraid."
"Except for the fact it can electrocute you," Zane added.
"It can?" Morro asked as if what Zane said wasn't clear enough.
"Yes, yes it can," Nya replied.
Morro looked at the chicken, then to Cole and Jay, then it hit him.
"No wonder," Morro mumbled as he understood how Cole and Jay weren't afraid of the chicken.
"Okay, all that chicken stuff made me tired," Lloyd excused (cuz the chicken's scaring him). "Goodnight guys!"
"I'm going to sleep too, g'night,"
"Same here, goodnight,"
"As well as I, goodnight,"
When everyone (minus Cole Morro ofc) left, Jay noticed a figure by the window. He blinked, then it disappeared.
"-ay,"
"Jay,"
"Jason Walker, are you still in Ninjago?"
Jay then snapped out of his thoughts, "Huh? Wha-"
"You okay, Jay?" Morro queried.
"Yeah, you look like you've seen a ghost," Cole purposely said earning a light punch in the shoulder by Morro.
"I'm fine guys," Jay responded. "Just tired, so I'm just gonna hit the sack, goodnight!"
"He saw something, didn't he?" the two said in unison resulting in them exchanging looks.
"You two seemed worried," a voice stated.
"Thank you, Master Obvious," Cole sassed.
"YANG!" Morro shouted. "How are you here?!"
"Here we go again," Cole muttered. He needs to explain things… again.
Meanwhile,
"Found you~"
I live OvO. Anyways, thanks for reading
