I changed the way I write a bit (that being me using POVs). And more Jay suffering lol (sorry Jay stans/simps/fans TvT)

Fun facts:

- there are lots of headcanons in this story :D

- I may or may not loved platonic ElectricSandStorm too it much-

- Nya and Kai are Latinos

- Cole is a Latinasian that can understand Spanish

- you'll find out the rest in the story

Note: Oh yeah, did I mention that they're on their current looks, not the pre-S8 ones. Why? Because I kept imagining the scenes with their current looks rather than the old one- (Morro still looks the same)

I do not own Ninjago

Oh, please take me back.

Back to the times of glee,

To the times that aren't black.

When my contentment is a guarantee.

(This happened while Jay is chatting with Ryder)

Cole's POV

Morro and I decided to leave Jay alone and went to the roof.

It was almost sunset right now. Perfect.

Morro told him the other day that there was no sun in the Departed Realm.

It was only night time every day.

Well, at least he gets to see it again… for now.

"This is nice, y'know," he commented. "To see a sunset without worrying about anything."

"Mhm," I hummed.

During the moment of peace, something springs into my mind.

"Hey, remember that day when there was a solar eclipse?"

"Ugh," he groaned. "Don't remind me of my kid me's stupidity."

"You really thought that the world was ending."

"I heard from the streets that when the sun is black, the demons of darkness will come to eat us all."

I just rolled my eyes playfully and said, "And that's why they said not to believe everything you hear or see."

"No kiddi—"

An ear-piercing shriek was then heard.

We both shared the same worried and concerned look, knowing very well whom the scream is from.

I started climbing back down to the balcony, while Morro phased through the roof. Lucky. I wish I could still do that.

Anyways, back to the problem.

I sprinted to the shared bedroom, just to see things that weren't there before. Such as; the scratch marks almost everywhere, the broken window, and some ripped fabrics of Jay's gi.

Morro wasn't there yet, guess he got lost. Again.

Then suddenly, as if the Cloud Kingdom decided to grant the wish I never yearned for, I heard Morro's voice.

"How the heck does everyone get around here? And where is everybody else?! Ugh, hope this is the right room."

Morro then phased inside the room, "Hey Col— HOLY SPINJITZU! What the heck happened here?!"

"How would I know?" I replied. "I just got here a few seconds ago."

"Make sense, also do you know where the others are?"

I gave him a 'bruh' look, "Dude, both of us were on the roof awhile ago AT THE SAME TIME. How would I know?"

Once again, the Cloud Kingdom answered our questions by…

"Boys! We're back!" it was Nya's voice.

After that, we both heard footsteps heading here. Welp, this is where everything goes downhill.

The door opened revealing Lloyd, "And we brought matching charms for New Yea—"

"Uhhh, hey Lloyd," Morro spoke up.

Lloyd's eyes glanced around the room, noticing the things that weren't supposed to be there.

Kai then came in, "Hey Greenie, has the cat got your tongue— Guys, I think you might wanna see this."

When the rest arrived at the room, all of them stared at the room with wide eyes.

"⸘Qué diablos ha pasado‽" Nya yelled. (What the heck happened?)

"What did she say?" Morro whispered to me.

I just ignored him, since Nya obviously wanted answers right now. Thank FSM I can speak and understand Spanish.

"Long story short, me and Morro were just watching the sunset when we heard Jay scream, and here we are…" I said as I looked back at the room.

"Is there any reason why Jay wanted some alone time in the first place?" Zane asked.

"There is, but I think it's better if he's the one to tell it," Morro responded.

"Then what're you all waiting for? Let's go look for him!" Nya barked leaving the room.

Lloyd sighed, "Kai, go with her. When you find something related to this, report immediately."

Kai simply nodded as he left.

"Cole, Morro, you guys head South. Zane, you're coming with me. You know the rest. Now go!"

All of us nodded and left.

July 13, 2008

Third Person's POV

"Libber!"

"Libs, where are you?!"

Two ravenettes were looking for their blue friend.

It was just a few hours after Libber ran away.

A few since they started looking for her.

A few hours after they found out an awful secret…

"Hey Lee, can you hear that? It sounds like crying," the older one said.

The other focused on the sound, "I think you're right, Carli."

"Do you think it's her?"

"Only one way to find out."

The two noirettes then followed the sounds of crying.

It led them to a tree by the cliff.

In there was a girl with wavy, blonde locks.

She's the girl they're looking for.

Lilly ran to her at full speed, "LIBBER! There you are!"

She checked for any injuries, luckily there are none.

The younger one looked at her, "Lilly…"

"And Carli," the other jumped in.

"The others, including you-know-who, are worried about you," Lilly spoke up.

"Well, just tell them I'm fine," Libber hissed clenching her fists.

Carli tried to comfort her, "Hey Libby, I know you're angry—"

"OF COURSE, I'M ANGRY!" she yelled. "I just found out that one of the people I loved the most is nothing but a dirty, fricking liar!"

Dangerous lightning started sparking from her fingers.

This, of course, didn't go unnoticed by the older two.

"How about we just stay here till we're all good? I could tell Mom and Dad, to tell the others that you don't wanna talk right now," Lilly suggested pulling out her phone.

Libber pondered for a bit, "That, that sounds nice."

Present (Cole's riding his dragon and Morro's flying)

Morro's POV

It has been almost 3 hours since we started looking for Jay.

I'm surprised Cole isn't as tired as the others. (He can hear their yawns when they check-up with him)

I wanna ask him how, but by the looks on his face, his main priority, for now, is to find Jay.

I mean, that's also my main priority though I just couldn't help but wonder about it.

I'm even surprised he isn't hungry. Did the ghost thing mess with his system or is he just prioritizing Jay more than his appetite?

Wait— Cole prioritizing something not food-related. Am I in another Ninjago?

(A/N: I mean, it's somehow true-)

Okaaayyy, back to what's important.

Where the heck could Jay be? Actually, I should've thought first about what or who took him.

I mean, what creature— Hold on. What's that?

"Cole," I called.

When I looked at him, it seems like we both noticed the oddly bright blue light from the distance.

Okay, that was very specific for me to think of.

"Do you think it's him?" I asked.

"Only one way to find out," he answered as he descends his dragon to an area near the source.

When we landed, we snuck closer to the light source.

And what we saw is very… well… surprising.

Sitting by a tree was Jay.

(A/N: Ngl, this is somehow expected-)

Cole's POV

Oh my FSM, it's Jay.

We finally found him. He looks demon-like, but still Jay.

I tried to come closer to comfort him, but it looks like, he doesn't want it.

"Stay back," Jay started. "I don't wanna hurt you."

"Jay, I'm the Master of Earth, Lightning doesn't affect me," I reminded him.

"I know but—"

"No buts, Jay," Morro added. "You need comfort right now. And who else could give you that but a living, breathing conductor and an invulnerable ghost."

"Almost invulnerable ghost," I corrected him as I sat by Jay.

After Morro sat(float) by Jay, I started thinking about what to do next.

"Hey… How about we stay here till you're all fine? I could also tell the others you need some time, sounds good?"

He sat still for a while but eventually nodded. It was a weak nod, but still.

Time skip cuz I have no clue how to describe that scene

Jay's POV

This… This is nice.

Being surrounded by people who understand you. At least, I hope they understand me.

Well, I know Cole does. But Morro, I don't really know.

The only times we bonded that much was when we were kids.

Ah, good ol' times, when we worry about nothing.

Well, except for that Solar Eclipse myth. I was a dumb kid.

I wi—wanna go back to those times.

No ninja stuff.

No anxieties.

No worries…

Thank you for reading!

(Fun fact: My first idea for this chapter has more suffering-)
