"I've brought you a present, my Moon," Lucius stated as he walked through the heavy gate of the Manor. Luna looked up from the knife she'd been sharpening. As much as she hated hurting anyone, or anything, it was important to keep one's tools in optimal condition.
"What did you bring me?"
"Not what, who," Lucius answered with a large smile. Luna blinked a few times before a half smile started to spread across her face.
"You brought me someone to murder then?"
"I did, it took me a while to track him down, the fool thought he could hide in Romania," Lucius said, sitting down in the chair next to Luna. She wordlessly summoned an ornate tea cup and poured him a cup from the pot sitting on the table.
"Who?" she asked, not daring to hope. There was one man she wanted dead, one man who had dared cross her enough to warrant her wanting to break her usual harmlessness and murder him.
"Macnair," Lucius answered, watching Luna's response. She screamed loudly and did jubilate the captor of the man who had kidnapped her from the safety of the Hogwarts Express, the man who had brought his wand to her throat, who had silenced her and told her he would murder both her and her father. He also had a ghastly habit of poaching rare and exotic creatures, never caring if they were endangered or that they were becoming extinct. He was one of the worst people Luna had ever had the displeasure of meeting.
"And where is he, my Love," she asked, stirring her tea with the tiny silver spoon. The emeralds on the handle glittered in the light as she moved it. Lucius loved seeing this side of his wife, the cold calculating side, the side that made him question if Luna had ever truly belonged in Ravenclaw or if she should have been a Slytherin like himself.
"Where do you think I put him?" Lucius asked, smiling even wider as Luna let out another scream of joy.
"You've chained him up in the back yard like the animal he is?"
"I did, right now, the peacocks are having a field day attacking him. I can always call them off if you desire, but since he is well known for being a poacher, having some animals get a bit of revenge seemed poetic."
"It truly is," Luna said, rising from her seat. She walked past Lucius, her long fingers brushing against his shoulder. He smiled at her touch as he watched her walk out the large french doors that led to the back garden. True to his word, Macnair was chained to a stone column with just enough slack in the heavy iron chain to move slightly. The peacocks and hens had flocked around him. Lucius blinked to realize a large white raven had also joined them. It appeared to have pecked out one of Macnai's eyes. Luna squealed happily as she walked over, pausing only to pick up the large ax from the pile of wood. Lucius knew she kept it as sharp as any other tool in the house.
"Macnair, how lovely to see you again, I do believe you remember the first time we met?" she asked, pushing Macnair to the ground. The peacocks and hens flew off, retreating into the trees. The raven flew up and perched on Luna's shoulder. She smiled at it, stroking its head with her free hand.
"Um, Lady Malfoy, um, it is a pleasure," Macnair stammered. Luna tilted her head, looking at him.
"And was it a pleasure when you ripped me from the train, from my friends and family? Was it a pleasure to silence me so I couldn't even scream as you tortured me before bringing me to your master?" Luna asked. Macnair opened his mouth to speak.
"Silenco!" Luna stated, watching Macnair open and close his mouth like a fish out of water, trying to make a sound. Luna walked over to him, yanking him into a standing position. She pushed him against the column, his head laying across the top. She raised the ax, a smile on her face as she brought it back down, blood splattering her pale carnelian. Lucius had to admit the deep red of the blood against the pale carnelian of the dress made it look as though Luna's dress was adorned with sparkling jewels and he vowed to get a necklace to reflect that, something to commemorate this occasion. Luna sighed happily, dropping the ax next to Macnair's head. The raven jumped from her shoulder and happily started eating the feast which Luna had provided. She stepped onto the stone patio and in Lucius' waiting arms.
"Thank you, my Love, that was the best anniversary present you could have ever gotten me," she whispered, kissing him passionately.
"Anything for you, my Moon, anything for you."
