A/N: Hey, you guys! Long time, no see...AGAIN! Sorry for the bit of delay on getting this chapter out and posted. I had actually been working on it earlier in the month LAST month but was forced to start the chapter all over again after encountering a mishap with my laptop, which shut down unexpectedly and deleted all my work, even the saved bits. To say the very least, I was pissed and had to step away from this story for a while before finally coming back to it. But at long last, here it is: the long-awaited Chapter 190. Thanks for your patience in the meantime, you guys. I really appreciate it. I'm back on schedule again though and should have the next chapter out by August 13, 2016, time permitting. Hope you guys enjoy this quick update in the meantime. :)

Peeking a single eye open when Zim shifted on the couch some more at Rose's suggestion of heading to bed, Dib couldn't help but dismiss the offer altogether with a small grunt as he just plain didn't want to be moved in that moment. "Mmmm...Ziiiim..." he whined, tugging at the other's shirt to keep him there so he could continue sleeping. The absolute last thing he wanted was to have to walk all the way back upstairs on his own.
Smiling at the hybrid's reluctance with mild amusement, Zim leaned down to kiss him sweetly. "Zim will carry you." he spoke in a soft voice to his tuckered out mate.
Clinging to the Irken's chest in order to retain as much warmth as possible when he offered to carry him, Dib easily curled up in Zim's arms as the other leaned down to scoop him up.
Nuzzling him briefly, Zim then hefted the heavier boy up, all the while doing his best to hide his internal struggling.
"A-Are you sure you don't want any help, Zim?" Rose asked, following behind him closely as he began making his way to the stairs. "You might be better off letting Jack carry him upstairs." she then looked to Jack for help convincing him of that, the strained look on Zim's face concerning her. She knew Dib had to be getting heavy for him, especially in his current condition.
"Yeah, Zim. It's really no trouble." Jack volunteered when he caught the look his wife was sending him in that moment.
"No, no! Zim can carry his own Dib, thank you." Zim shot their offer down stubbornly, confident he could carry Dib the entire way himself, still recovering or not.
Slowly following Zim up the stairs just in case the other accidentally dropped Dib, both Rose and Jack merely sent each other worried looks at Zim's brisk refusal.
Struggling momentarily to climb the last few steps up the stairs with Dib's full body weight in tow, Zim fought for a moment to steady himself against the banister before finally making it to the bedroom and laying Dib down onto the bed gently.
Rose couldn't help but let out a small relieved sigh when Zim made it to the bedroom with no further complications. "Is there anything else either of you need before we head to bed?" she then asked from her spot in the doorway.
Shifting in his spot on the bed, Dib merely burrowed himself underneath the covers comfortably.
Smiling slightly and shaking his head, Zim then climbed over to his side of the bed. "I don't think so." he answered once he had successfully managed to steal back just a portion of the blankets for himself.
"Well alright then. Goodnight." Rose waved from her spot in the doorway before sweeping a hand down the wall to switch the lights off and turning to leave with Jack back to their own bedroom.
Meanwhile, Dib curled himself around his belly delicately, his antennae twitching restlessly for a few moments longer before finally curling back against his scalp as he slept soundly against Zim.
Holding Dib tightly as he drifted off himself, Zim purred steadily in the silence as he waited for exhaustion to take hold of him and grant him the peace of mind that came with catching at least a few hours of sleep.
It wasn't until the next morning that Dib awoke with a start to the feel of somebody shaking him repeatedly. He blinked his eyes open slowly, not used to such an early wake-up call after so many months of just sleeping in. "Hmmm...?" he sounded out drearily before bringing a hand up to rub at one of his eyes as Rose filled his line of vision.
Rose smiled down at him softly. "Come on, Dib. It's time to get up." she said, urging him to sit up slowly.
Sitting up and looking around the room at Rose's instruction, Dib yawned tiredly before veering his gaze back to the bed momentarily to stare at the empty spot next to him. "Wh-Why? Where is Zim?" he asked when he didn't see the Irken in bed with him.
"He's downstairs with Jack, Dib. But we really need you to get up now." she was already trying to pull him up onto his feet so she could lead him to hers and Jack's room. Before hitting the hay the night before, she had set out an assortment of more feminine-looking clothes for Dib to try on the following morning.
Not awake enough yet to make sense of anything at this point, Dib merely allowed Rose to drag him along with her as he tried to pull himself out of his still half asleep stupor.
Bringing Dib to her room and standing him in front of a mirror, Rose then turned to dig through the clothes she'd set out the night before for an outfit she thought might suit Dib's current build.
Dib yawned a second time, continuing to rub the sleep out of his eyes.
Figuring that for the time being it would be best not to push Dib into wearing anything overly feminine at this point, such as a skirt or dress, Rose pulled out a purple T-shirt with a few stars plastered across it and then some black pants and undergarments for Dib to try on. "Before you try these on, I'll need you to head on into the bathroom and put these on." she said, holding up what looked to be some very frilly-looking panties. "And I promise you, THESE aren't borrowed." she then added, having gone out to buy them at a nearby store earlier that morning. She wanted this to be as believable as possible, after all.
To say the very least, Dib's cheeks lit up a bright cherry-red at the sight of the undergarments. "Wh-What?!" he practically jumped back with a start, suddenly feeling very awake at the sight of the frilly panties being dangled in front of his face. "Wh-Why can't I just pull the clothes on without them?!" he then exclaimed, not wanting to be forced into wearing such a thing. As if wearing a bra weren't bad enough already!
Rose dropped her arm down by her side at Dib's unwillingness to comply. "Come on, Dib. We both know you're not wearing anything beneath your current clothing at the moment. And we want this to be as believable as possible. If you won't do it for me, then at least do it for your smeets." she said, offering up the undergarments to him again.
Staring at them for several long moments as he felt a scorching heat wash over his body in waves, Dib bit down on his bottom lip in hesitant consideration of Rose's words. "Weeeell..." he sighed, antennae drooping. "...Okay..." he finally gave in after taking note of the unwavering expression currently adorning Rose's face, knowing that if they didn't make this as believable as possible, his smeets, Zim, and himself could be in for some trouble.
Smiling back at him lightheartedly when he finally accepted his fate, Rose handed him the panties before turning back to search the pile of clothes on her bed for something else. "It will be alright, Dib. Just put them on." she assured with genuine confidence.
Reluctantly taking the panties from Rose and holding them out at arm's length from himself, as though afraid to hold them any nearer, Dib then headed on into the bathroom to strip down and pull them on. Dropping his clothes to the floor, he examined them warily, not sure how this was going to work. He didn't see HOW they were supposed to make his disguise any more or less feminine. After all, they hardly seemed to cover anything at all as he pulled them on, his cheeks flushed a bright red as expected. Feeling slightly uncomfortable with them on underneath, he then exited the bathroom in his normal clothes again.
Rose merely beamed at him upon his return. "Alright, now let's get you dressed up." she said with an all too lively energy about her.
Dib could only nod his head with moderate interest as he doubted he'd enjoy whatever else Rose had in store for him. "...O-Okay..." he said, seemingly unable to shake his current blush.
Without any warning at all, Rose then reached forward to start sliding his shirt off of him. "First we need to get this bra on you and find something to stuff it with." she said, gesturing to the bra from before hanging off her forearm.
Jerking back violently at Rose's all too assertive attempts to undress him, Dib's face flared back up a deep crimson now. "I-I can get undressed myself!" he stammered sharply, not feeling comfortable at all with so much physical contact coming from somebody who WASN'T Zim.
Pulling back at that, Rose blushed a bit herself, having nearly forgotten who it was she was dealing with here. "S-Sorry...Guess I just got a little carried away there." she apologized sympathetically, watching as Dib went to remove his shirt himself, facing slightly away from her as he pulled it off.
Holding his shirt to his chest possessively once he had gotten it off himself, Dib then turned back to face Rose, knowing she'd at least have to help him with the placement of the bra so it wouldn't look too horribly weird underneath his clothing.
Rose smiled gently at Dib's shyness. "You don't need to be so worried, Dib." she then stepped forward cautiously again, bra in hand.
Letting his shirt drop after a moment, just enough for her to get it placed just right on him, Dib flashed her a slightly nervous look as she then moved back around him to hook it into place.
"There. That should do it." she said with a satisfied nod before pulling away to go search the bathroom for something to stuff it with, returning just a minute later with a tissue box and container full of cotton balls. "These will probably work." she then said, placing them down on the bed and pulling out a few tissues.
"A-Are you sure stuffing it is really necessary?" Dib asked, the padding inside already seeming to give off the effect of having breasts.
Rose glanced as the stuffed bra being flattened under Dib's petting. "Yes, but I would suggest you didn't mess with it. This isn't a really permanent disguise yet." she smiled a little and laughed with a note of humor evident in her voice. "It'd be much easier if you really had breasts." she then reached forward to cup the weathered down padding in an attempt to fix it before proceeding with her stuffing.
Pulling his hands away quickly and blushing as he only just then realized what it must have looked like from Rose's point of view, Dib stopped his fiddling around with the bra. As if this weren't already embarrassing enough as is! He almost wished he could just die from embarrassment when she mentioned having real breasts to him.
Smiling amused, Rose shook her head and continued without even missing a beat. "It's okay, Dib. You look adorable." she said with ever-confident composure.
"A-Are you sure will all make me look enough like a female to fool anyone?" Dib then asked, unable to bring his gaze back up to meet hers as he played with his fingers nervously, Rose setting back to work on stuffing the bra he was wearing once she had stepped back a moment to examine her work.
"If Zim can go around without a disguise on and everyone still thinks he's human then this will DEFINITELY work for disguising you." Rose smiled more to her herself now as she finished up and admired her handiwork.
"I guess..." Dib said with significantly less enthusiasm before looking back at himself in the mirror. He didn't see it himself yet, but he hoped everybody else would be too ignorant to notice the fact that he actually was male, at least for the sake of his smeets.
Ruffling his hair playfully, Rose then started to style it into a more feminine hairdo.
Squeezing one eye shut tightly as Rose worked to pull back his hair, every once in a while tugging at it just a bit too much as it was still just a tad bit short for what she wanted to do with it, Dib waited patiently for Rose to finish tying all except his bangs into a short ponytail.
"Hmm…Well, let's hope your hair grows out some more before the wedding, Dib. But for now, this will work."
Reaching back a hand to tug lightly at the small ponytail, Dib eyed himself in the mirror again.
"Now, why don't you finish getting dressed in these clothes and then we can head on downstairs to have breakfast and show off your new disguise to Zim and Jack." Rose instructed, handing Dib the black pants and dark-purple T-shirt.
Taking the articles of clothing from Rose and looking them over skeptically for a moment, Dib then headed back into the bathroom to finish getting dressed. The pants were somewhat tight again, clinging to his waist and not rising up much farther past his hips like before. Thankfully, however, the shirt was at least long enough to cover up any bare skin the pants didn't hide as a result of his swelling baby bump. He exited the bathroom about a minute or two later, no longer recognizing himself when he looked into the mirror one last time.
Meanwhile, downstairs with Jack, Zim fidgeted nervously in his seat at the kitchen table as he impatiently waited for Rose to finish dressing up his precious hybrid. "I hope this works..." he then muttered to himself as he swung his legs restlessly, still feeling just a tad bit offended by Dib's harsh criticisms of his own disguising abilities.
It wasn't until after what seemed like an eternity that Dib finally entered the kitchen with Rose, staring down at his feet shyly as his heart raced and cheeks flushed a light pink color.
Rose pulled Dib up to show Zim and Jack when she noticed Dib's attempt to stay hidden well behind her in the shadows. "Well, what do you think?" she asked, gleaming at them proudly. Dib really did look rather feminine now, almost like he had actually been born that way. "I'll have to experiment a little bit more with stuffing the bra, but otherwise, this should do for now." she resumed, liking the way the clothes hugged Dib's body, making his pregnancy much more pronounced than it had been when he had been wearing the borrowed clothes from Jack.
Almost certain that this couldn't be the same boy that had gone upstairs with Rose earlier, Zim could only stare in stupefied silence as he blushed and eyed Dib up and down repeatedly. "D-Dib? You look amazing!" he exclaimed once he had managed to re-establish his momentarily absent voice.
Not knowing how to react exactly, Dib merely blushed at those words before turning his gaze away once more. "I-Is that a compliment?" he then asked, unsure whether Zim actually liked the way he looked in this disguise or not. After all, he already knew that the alien preferred males over females, and he wondered whether it was weird for him to see him all dressed up like this.
Hardly noticing Dib's discomfort in that moment, Zim merely nodded and smiled a little as though to answer the other's question. "I usually don't like females, but you're quite a looker… Though I'd prefer you being just you for me and you time." he winked at the hybrid deviously.
Face flaring up an even brighter red at the Irken's words, Dib glanced at Jack and Rose almost shyly before then dropping his gaze back down to his feet in a small fluster. "I'd...rather be myself too..." he then said, shifting about almost uncomfortably as he was still getting used to the female clothing, especially the undergarments and bra.
"Well, it can't be helped right now, but you should eat some breakfast before we leave, Dib." Jack gestured to the table loosely as he went to retrieve the food he'd been preparing just moments before Rose had entered with Dib.
Looking back up at Jack, Dib nodded his head with hardly a protest to speak of. "A-Alright." he agreed, making his way to the table to take a seat next to Zim.
Jack flashed him a warm smile. "Hope you like waffles." he said before placing a plate with three waffles on it in front of Dib. "Here's to start you out for now. But we can make more if you're still hungry afterwards." he then said, offering him the syrup bottle before turning away to start clearing away some of the ingredients he had used to make the batter.
Feeling fairly hungry for once, Dib took the bottle from him and began drenching his waffles in syrup before setting it aside to start digging in. "Th-Thank you..." he thanked Jack before skillfully cutting into his waffles with a fork and bringing a single piece up to his mouth. Zim's eyes hadn't left him since he'd entered the room though, something that made him feel slightly uncomfortable as he tried to ignore it.
Barely restraining himself from crawling all over Dib in that moment, Zim licked his lips and purred steadily as his pointed gaze remained level on the hybrid. "I-I think I'll take more waffles!" he then spoke up to distract himself from the surge of thoughts currently making his heart pound against his aching rib cage.
"Very well then." Jack placed a few more waffles onto a plate for Zim without a second thought before then placing a small pill down next to them for him to take also. "Before we leave though, you might want to take something for your car sickness, Zim." he said, knowing they'd be taking yet another long car trip out to get to the therapist's office.
"Oh…Right..." Zim's face fell as he reached down to take the pill between two fingers, sticking his tongue out a little in distaste, not wanting it.
"Now, come on, Zim. It's not THAT bad." Jack urged, filling a glass with some orange juice for Zim to wash it down with and handing it to said Irken.
"Yeah, Zim." Dib nodded in agreement, eating yet another bite of his waffles. "Besides, do you really want to be throwing up waffles again?" he shuddered a bit at the unpleasant memory.
"No, I guess not..." Zim sighed out defeated and took the pill without any further hesitation.
Handing Zim the drink and watching as he took the pill before chasing it down with a large gulp of his orange juice, Jack smiled when Zim complied with their advice.
Waiting for Zim to come up for air, Dib smiled a little himself when Zim finished up his juice. "See. Not bad at all." he said with seasoned regard as he could only imagine the future battles he might have getting his smeets to eat and do things they didn't like.
Zim could only sigh and lay his head down on the table however. "I don't need the pill..." he sulked moodily.
His antennae drooping a bit at that reaction, Dib's smile fell away instantly. "I'm...sorry we made you take it, Zim...B-But we just don't want you feeling sick in the car again..." he struggled to defend their case, poking at his food unenthusiastically now. He suddenly wasn't very hungry for waffles any longer as he pushed his half-eaten plate away from himself.
Noticing this, Zim groaned out in frustration. "Eat the food, Dib. Starving yourself won't solve anything." he said despite feeling fairly certain he'd no doubt ruined the hybrid's appetite…AGAIN.
Already far beyond the desire to eat any longer, Dib merely shook his head as expected. "...I'm not hungry..." he said, feeling as though the other were mad at him now.
"Dib…Please eat it?" Zim tried again, in a less irritated voice this time.
Dib shook his head even more stubbornly though, slumping down in his seat as his antennae shuddered. "I'm not hungry!" he protested moodily, not wanting to be pushed into eating.
"Oh, come on, Dib! Yoo don haf to stawv urself!" Zim paused in the aftermath of speaking that sentence. Well that was odd.
Lifting his head back up at Zim's words, Dib stared at the other slightly concerned now. "Zim? A-Are you feeling alright?" he asked cautiously, wanting to make sure he had heard the other correctly.
Pouting a little, Zim stuck his tongue out and looked down at it in cross-eyed confusion. "I bink zo..." he tried again to answer the other clearly.
"Uh-oh." Rose stood from her seat to cross the table over to where Zim was sitting. "Can you open your mouth and say 'Ahh' for me, Zim? I think you're having an allergic reaction to the motion sickness pill Jack just gave you." she said, reaching forward to place her hands on the sides of his face so she could turn it this way and that, checking it for swelling.
"Whah?! Imb fiine!"
"No...No, I don't think you are, Zim." Rose finally managed to coax him into opening up his mouth for her. "It looks like your tongue is swelling a bit. You're not having any trouble breathing, are you?" she asked, wanting to make sure it wasn't so serious that he wasn't getting air.
"I kan bweef ust fine!"
Rose grimaced a bit at the way Zim's words were coming out. "W-Well, alright, Zim." she then glanced over at Dib, knowing full well he wouldn't go to this therapy session if Zim didn't go with him. Wanting Zim to stay home until the effects wore off however, she then sighed heavily. "Maybe we should just reschedule..." she suggested, certain that going would only stress Dib out further with Zim being unable to talk.
"DOH! Esh bine! Ah an thalk ust bine!" Zim protested resolutely, not about to let himself be the cause of Dib not getting the help that he needed.
Glancing back and forth between Zim and Dib, Rose bit her lip at Zim's protests. "O-Okay...But only if you're feeling up to it." she gave in after a long silence had passed between them.
"Auf caouse Am up oo et."
Dib, meanwhile, could only stare back at Zim as he and Rose exchanged words, feeling even worse now that they had forced Zim take the medicine against his will.
A/N: And there you have it for Chapter 190. Until next time~
