Amy and Sheldon spent a lot of time meeting with caterers and with florists and other people to help them plan their wedding. Amy was pleased that Sheldon frequently went with these meetings. If he didn't go, some combination of Penny, Bernadette, and Rajesh went with her. She never had to do things alone.

Sometimes Amy's mom met her to discuss wedding plans, but she never liked Amy's choices. Amy was at a dress fitting with Bernadette and Rajesh, when her mother was supposed to come by and see the dress in person. When the fitting was over, Amy told Bernadette and Rajesh to just leave, and that she would wait alone for her mother.

They refused to leave and after a few more minutes, Amy got a text from her mother explaining that she wasn't coming after all. "That's the last time I invite her to something like this. I'm just glad that I have such good friends."

"Well, we both thought you looked beautiful, right Raj?" Bernadette said.

"Yes. Even if I think you should go with something a little sexier," Rajesh said. Bernadette elbowed him.

"Let's go get some lunch," Amy said before she hugged her friends. This would have all felt too big and impossible without them, but they were all there for her and Sheldon.

After lunch, they also accompanied Amy to the florist. She was supposed to also do this with her mother, but they insisted after she had stood Amy up. This turned out to be the best thing that happened all day because while Bernadette knew a little more about flowers than Amy did, it turned out that Rajesh was somewhat of an expert.

Amy decided to go with gray and pink for her wedding. The pink dresses with the gray accents were a hit with both Bernadette and Penny. Rajesh knew exactly which kinds of flowers would go well with the dresses and Amy's color pallete. He focused on cherry blossoms, roses, and peonies. Amy just sort of nodded along with whatever he said. Then they showed her a mock up of her bouquet and the ones for the girls.

"Rajesh, they're beautiful. Is there any way that we could add some lilies in mine as well? They are my favorite," Amy said.

"Of course," the florist said. "I think it adds just the right amount of white to offset the pink along with the peonies."

"Yes. It looks wonderful, Amy. Good call," Rajesh told her.

Rajesh and the florist discussed the table arrangements while asking Amy's opinion every so often. When they were done discussing that and showed her some very impressive mock ups of those too, they moved on to boutonnieres for the guys.

"Rajesh, you are the only one of the guys who gets to know about this, but you guys aren't wearing pink. I've found ties that I wanted to surprise you all with, but since you've become so important to the planning, I guess I have to ruin it for you. I've found these ties for all of you guys. They have little Starfleet logos on them like the uniforms in the new movies. Sheldon gets blue, Leonard gets command gold, and you and Howard get red," Amy explained and then showed Rajesh a picture from her phone.

"Aww. That is so sweet. I love it," Rajesh told her. Bernadette already knew about the ties, as did Penny.

"We'll go with more lillies for the boutonnieres for the guys. White goes with everything, and they won't give away your surprise," the florist said.

"Perfect," Rajesh said.

Amy sent Sheldon the photos of all of the mock ups. He said they all looked very nice. Sheldon pretty much allowed Amy to make whatever choices she wanted regarding the wedding planning. He always had an opinion, but he usually gave in. His biggest fight so far was against the use of Wagner's traditional Wedding March.

"Amy, I don't like it. In the opera, the groom kills several of the guests and then runs off. Is that really the way you want to start our life together?" Sheldon said.

"Doesn't the tradition mean anything to you?" Amy asked.

"I will give up the train trip across Europe if you pick something else," Sheldon said. They had been debating the merits of various locations for their honeymoon. Sheldon had been thinking about giving up and letting them go to Hawaii like Amy wanted. He never sacrificed anything for her, and going to Hawaii seemed like a good way to show her how much he loved her.

"It's that important to you?" Amy asked.

Sheldon nodded. "It is."

"Okay. No Wedding March. Is Pachellbel's Canon okay?" Amy asked.

Sheldon looked like he was thinking about it. "Yes. That is acceptable."

Amy and Sheldon always seemed tired. They worked during the week, and the weekends were so often spent working on wedding planning. Amy was glad that there was exactly nothing scheduled for the next day. Sheldon had even canceled his paintball game with the guys so that he and Amy could spend the whole day together.

Amy opened the door to her apartment and called out of Sheldon. He wasn't anywhere to be found. Amy checked her watch. It couldn't really be nine already. She went in to their bedroom, but her clothes were not in the hamper. Amy turned and went downstairs to the basement of the building. Sheldon was folding a big pile of clothes.

"So strict with your schedule. Thanks for picking up the slack," Amy said as she went over to see Sheldon.

"It needed to be done. Being busy is no invitation to chaos," Sheldon said. Then he looked down at his exhausted fiancee. "You can go on up to bed if you want. I can handle this laundry."

"No. I'd rather stay," Amy said as she picked up one of her skirts and started folding it. Amy was befuddled by how much she loved doing little domestic things with Sheldon, but she guessed it was part of the reason she wanted to marry him. He made even little things like this entertaining and seem worthwhile.

On the way back up, Amy grabbed the mail. There were four more RSVPs to their wedding. She looked at them briefly before handing them off to Sheldon. "Sometimes it feels like we are getting back more of these RSVPs than we sent out," she told him.

"Actually, we've only heard back from about 75% of the people we sent invitations to," Sheldon said. "They still have time, as we requested them to be sent in by mid-August, but I'm surprised that people have put off wanting to let us know that they want to come. I've heard it's a pretty hot ticket," Sheldon said.

He opened the envelopes and pulled out his chart and set to work. Sheldon had been put in charge of the seating chart and the honeymoon planning. He helped in other places too, but those were his two main jobs. Amy knew what he was best suited to, and tried to turn him toward those chores.

"Sheldon, let's go to bed. I'm exhausted," Amy begged as she put her hands on his shoulders.

"Let me just finish this. It's only four. I won't be able to sleep if I know I just left this. You can go to bed without me," Sheldon said.

"You know I hate going to bed without you. I'll just watch some TV until you are ready," Amy said sadly.

"Thank you," Sheldon said as he set to work. It took him twenty minutes to finish the seating chart, but that was long enough for Amy to have fallen asleep on the couch.

"Okay, Amy, I'm ready..." Sheldon started before he saw Amy asleep. He warred with himself. Should he let her sleep on the couch? Should he try to pick her up and carry her into the room? Should he wake her up? He decided to go with the last one. Their bed was much more comfortable than that couch. He walked over and shook her, and she mumbled something about not wanting to go to summer camp.

"Amy, it's Sheldon. You need to come with me so that you can go to bed."

She got up, but was very unsteady on her feet. It was clear that she was mostly still asleep. Sheldon pulled her arm around his shoulders and put his hand on her waist and helped her walk back to the room. She sat down on the bed and tried to just lie down.

"You've got to change, kid," Sheldon said. He handed her a nightgown, and watched as she started taking off her clothes. They regularly changed their clothes in front of each other over the last couple of weeks. It was starting to get easier, and when Amy was awake, she liked the intimacy of sharing something so private with Sheldon.

Amy looked like she was still about to fall over, so Sheldon took the nightgown from her and pulled it over her head. Then he pulled back the covers and tucked her in.

"Don't go," Amy pleaded.

"I'm not going anywhere," Sheldon told her. He normally didn't care for taking care of others, but it seemed like Amy was always his exception. He changed into his pajamas, put all of their clothes in their hampers and got into bed next to Amy.
