Loudly, the alarm bell rings throughout Death City as shards of glass come crashing down from the yellow-caped burglar swoops down as if he were some sort of hero, in a dark red superhero costume to boot. The burger hurls the bag of death money over his shoulder as he runs through the streets of death city where the moon looms over him, watching, grinning from ear to ear. The burglar opens the bag where what was assumed to be money turns out to be false as bright blue light emits from the bag where souls rest within. Maliciously the creature grabs at his prize as he then makes his way away from the bank only to gasp at the small stray bullets of pink come crashing down teasingly touching his feet making him turn to look up at the lone figure, standing on the peak of the building, looming over the criminal, standing up straight. Startled, the thief turns on his heel to flee from the lone figure where the grinning moon maliciously cackles behind the boy, who smirks smugly at the sight of the fleeting figure.
"Lupin…it's all over." Cooly, the boy proclaims as he finds himself at the end of an alley, at a dead-end where the thief titled Lupin stands on top of the sewer slate turning to face the boy. Lupin's eyes expand when seeing through the dark of knight a striking pair of gold eyes seeing through the darkness of night, they have two shades of yellow ringing around his pupil. The outside ring is a bright yellow while the inner ring is a dark yellow, similar to the color of gold. His golds glare smugly at the thief before him having pinned him down like a predator having cornered their prey.
Slowly, the boy raises his hands revealing his guns upside down which he slowly raises flinging them as the guns morph into two girls, twins to be exact despite that however they are fraternal, not identical, one being taller than the other and the other being more endowed than the other.
He sports a standard black suit with white rectangles. The rectangles are placed in a manner that is completely symmetrical. There are at least six small rectangles along the seam where the sleeves attach to the jacket, and four small rectangles run along the front of his jacket.
"Master thief Lupin your soul has become a kishin egg it is pure evil and now we have come to claim it!" Proudly, the kid declares as he crouches down, posing alongside the twins behind him forming a life of sorts, attempting to pose but…
"JUST LOOK PATTY YOUR STANCE IS OFF AGAIN! YOU TWO AREN'T IN A LINE!" Furious, the boy yells screeching, screaming as he slams his foot down on the ground, stomping on the floor fury laced in his tone as he yells at the shorter one of the twins.
"Ooh! I'm sorry kid!" Patty apologizes, giggling childishly.
"Um kid…do you really think now is the time to be worried about that?" The elder twin sighs slumping her shoulders at Kid.
"Yes, I do. I want it to be perfect every time!" Irritated, Kid tells the two.
"I know but don't you think just this once maybe…?" Gently, the elder one tries to hint as the two talk, unaware of Lupin noting the sewer plate, prying the plate with the skull of Death on it, pulling it off, allowing him to put his soul bag in then jumping up and down trying to escape from the corner he finds himself trapped in.
"How many times do I have to tell you everything has to be in perfect balance. Symmetry is what makes the world beautiful." Resolute, Kid tells Liz, the older one of the two, who has long brown hair and a similar shade of blue to her short-haired sister.
"Why is Lupin jumping on that bag? Hah! He got away!" Preppy, Patti points out, pointing a finger at the fleeting figure of Lupin far from the scene having made its escapes away from the trio.
"Patty why can't you listen when I'm talking is that so much hard to ask huh!?" Frustrated, Kid snaps at Patty scowling at her, hands on his hips.
"Okay." Patty smiles winking cheekily.
"Symmetry is key. Everything must be aesthetically pleasing. That's what I use the two of you as twin pistols in order to preserve symmetry. When I hold you both I'm completely balanced on the right and left. It isn't perfect because your human forms are so different from each other through your hairstyles and height for example. Even your boobs are different sizes!" Seething, Kid declares, glowering glaring as he grabs hold of their breasts squeezing stunning both siblings, well the elder one with an anger tick mark upon her temple, Patty on the other hand is unfazed.
"Excuse me for being smaller than my little sister! What right do you have to talk about symmetry anyway!? Three stripes on the left side of your hair but none on your right? That doesn't look symmetrical to me!" Bitterly, Liz yells whacking Kid's head making him cry out in anguish at the hit.
"You're right I'm am an abomination, I'm filthy and dirty! I'm unbalanced! Why is there only one set of stripes? I'm garbage! Asymmetrical garbage! I just want to die!" Pained, Kid falls to his knees wailing, whimpering, the tears freely falling as he thrashes his fist up and down on the floor.
"Yeah and here we go…" Liz sighs at the sight of the grim reaper to be.
"You think we should phone her? She normally knows how to deal with him in this state." Patty whispers to her sister.
"Do you know what time it is? No way. She'll be sleeping by now. Now kid come on you cant forget you're a grim reaper compare to that what do three little lines matter?" Liz shakes her head at Ptty before turning to Kid.
"Yeah, Kid you're not garbage! If you were garbage you'd smell a lot worse! So why don't we get up and try again okay?" Patty agrees patting his back.
"You don't think I'm asymmetrical garbage? Really?" Sniffling, Kid smiles hopefully.
"No of course not!" Liz smiles.
"Garbage is ew and you're not!" Patty nods her head.
"Alright then let's report to my father." Smiling, Kid recovers as he stands up hands on his hips before turning his back to the two unaware of Liz remark about him being a rich brat. He stretches his fingertips out, a brightly light forming from his fingertips as a skeletal purple portal of light from where a familiar godly figure appears before the trio.
"Well hello, son what's up? It's so good to see you I forgot how cute those stripes on your hair are!" Animatedly, Death gushes over his son's stripes making his son's yellows twitch.
"Stop it dad I'm not a little kid anymore. Is that really necessary?" Grumbling, Kid huffs furrowing his brow at his goofy father.
"That's a sensitive topic right now sir!" Both Patty and Liz have their arms in a criss-cross formation much to the reaper's confusion.
"Eh? Okay then." The reaper brushes it aside.
"Is mother with you?" Curious, Kid questions his father.
"Afraid not she's heading home as we speak, said something about catching some shut-eye, I'm thinking of heading home myself to be honest." Death tells his son.
"Oh apologies if I'm interrupting." Politely, Kid exclaims.
"Of course not you're my son I have all the time in the world for my little boy! Still, we'll just move along. How are things going? Looks like you're making good progress with the kishin souls but kid you're a grim reaper you don't really need to be training weapons for claiming souls." Sternly, Death reminds Kid.
"But I want to make my own weapons to my own specifications besides you did it with mum." Annoyed, Kid points out, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Your mother's…a different case." Sighing, Death shrugs.
"Still in that case, since you have two weapons the sum of souls you'll need to get is doubled the usual amount. Meaning you'll have to work hard Liz and Patty." Kid tells the group.
"Yes sir!" Smiling, the twins salute him.
"I understand and I'd like to collect all of the souls in one go so do you have any suitable targets for me right now?" Curious, Kid questions his father.
"Ah well, now that you mention it as a matter of fact I do have one!" Death reveals happy to tell his son of this recent mission…
"Okay what's with the get-up? You a superhero or thief? I can't tell." Frowning, Ava furrows her brow at the sight of Lupin having stumbled across him on her way home, her hands shoved into her pockets as she eyes the creature before her tiredly, not having the energy to deal with any of it all.
"E-Eyes?" Lupin whispers shaking slightly at the sheer sight of the familiar predator-like gold glowering at him through the night.
"Hm?" Perplexed, she quirks her head to the side.
"….Power." Hungrily, he whispers making her sigh.
"You must really want a death wish." Easily, she swoops out of the way of the creature lunging at her, slamming the bag on her only for her to do mid-swing slam her fist into his chest, causing salvia splattering out of his mouth.
"I suppose I can grant you that wish." Calmly, she whispers flickering her wrist as a small gun is formed from her making her juggle the gun. She aims and fires directly at the creature's temple making it come crashing down, dead. Disgusted, she recoils back at the ruby red soul feeling a shy shiver crawl up her spinal cord making her grimace, releasing a dry heave from her throat. She turns away, her hand over her mouth visually shaken by the sheer sight of the soul.
"So let's see what this guy had? Maybe some death bucks or?" Curious, Ava smirks as she makes her way over to the creature's bag grimacing, ignoring the soul hoping to find some other distraction. She opens the bag only then for her features to turn as pale as ghost, a faint sickly green glint to her skin as she stares shaken at the souls before her…
"Honey I'm hooome! Huh? Ava dear?" Confused, Death springs into the mansion, quirking his head to the side when being met by the still silence of the manor only then to hear the low groan of the door.
"Urgh…" Curious, Death turns towards the door alarmed at the sheer sight of his shaken partner, her hand flat on the door bowing her head, looking pained, looking drained, looking on the verge of vomiting her insides out.
"Ava welcome…UM. Dear are you…?" Worriedly, Death approaches his partner, offering his gloved hands over to the shaken woman.
"I'm going to be sick." Hoarsely, she whispers pained.
"Right! Um I'll make some tea!" Urgently, Death decides, recalling well the peppermint tea being her favorite.
"Thanks…" Shakily, she whispers once he returns as she settles down, leaning over the sofa, the bag by her side making him furrow his mask's brow offering her the tea.
"What happened?" He questions worry laced in his tone to see her fingertips fidget around the drink.
"Bumped into some robber. What I thought was money was…you know? Anything interesting happen today?" Uneasily, she smiles as Death furrows his mask eyes when seeing her strained smile.
"I sent Kid to Egypt he has a mission to take care of necromancer." Death informs Ava.
"You think he can handle that?" Worried, Ava furrows her brow.
"He's our son he'll be fine." Confidently, Death waves his hand from side to side.
"I know that I just…did you tell him to bring sun cream?" Ava questions Death.
"Oh, I forgot." Death clicks his fingertips.
"Oh no. If he gets sunburn he's going to go crazy if the burn isn't symmetrical. Who knows what he'll do to try to fix it." Groaning, Ava places her head in her hands.
"That is a possibility I had not considered but he'll enjoy the pyramids they are all for mystery ." Optimistically, Death offers.
"True but it may distract him and with a necromancer…" Worried, Ava taps her fingertip against the cup.
"He'll be fine. He's our son he can do anything. We really should deal with this soul-sickness of yours." Proudly, Death declares bringing a small smile to his lips only then to falter when taking the bag seeing the blues souls and a ruby red soul in the mix making him sigh slumping his shoulders.
"I know I just…thanks again for putting up with me on this." Grateful, Ava sighs leaning back on the sofa the two have sat upon as she places her legs over his sofa, for the two to sip their drinks.
"You're my partner of course I care." Death sighs shaking his head at her.
"You're sweet." She smiles at Death leaning in softly, placing her cheeks upon his skeletal mask, smirking internally when feeling the heat brush against her lips.
"I'mma head to bed you coming?" Smoothly, she removes herself from his lap, steam spewing out of his mask, stunned staring out at the open air. She stretches, feeling his eyes all over her form as she leaves, a sly smirk upon her lips as he gapes, still trying to process it all.
"C-Coming!" Stammering, Death leaps up from his seat excitedly eagerly following after his wife to the bedroom where they head to bed…
