"What's wrong? Why aren't you working together? You have to establish a connection between soul and meister." Scowling, Sid roars raising his grave pedestal to the high heavens causing it to come crashing down at Maka and Soul in the graveyard.

"You're giving advice to the enemy?" Enraged, Blackstar bellows as he descends down from the soaring sky of the night sky, where he comes crashing down to strike at the zombie.

"I have always been an enthusiastic educator cause that's the kind of man I was! And now I'm going to teach you how to die! Living Arrow!" Sid declares as Blackstar's eyes expand when Sid disappears only to appear behind Blackwall making him gasp as he is thrown down to the ground. A bright pink arrow-shaped explodes, hitting him as he hits the ground.

"Blackstar!" Concerned, Maka cries out to her friend as Sid turns his focus to her.

"Ding dong, dong ding looks like class is over ready to die yet, girl? Well, what do ya say are you afraid of dying? If you become a zombie you can be free of the fear of death forever." Firmly, Sid tells Maka.

"Urgh, my head is killing me. Your preaching is starting to give me a headache. Damn zombie, I'm not listening to any lesson of yours. I don't give a damn over what you say, it doesn't matter what you say who's going to pay attention to a rotting corpse-like you? As long as there's a big star like me around! Being a three-star meister doesn't matter! I am…BLACKSTAR!" Boisterously, Blackstar declares proudly, chain sickle in hand as he places his palm flat against the zombie's chest, a sudden surge of energy emitting from him.

"Smart move hitting the solar plexus like that." Smirking, Ava nods her head watching on as ruby red spurts out of Sid's mouth.

"Indeed that was a nice attack as one would expect from a dark assassin like Blackstar." Death nods his head in agreement.

"Living Arrow! What the?" Sid proclaims about to strike Maka only to furrow his brow when seeing the girl pinned below him or so he thought.

"Smart move…" Ava exclaims, brow furrowed as the smoky veil fades away revealing Maka having narrowly missed the strike, leaning slightly on the ornament of sorts.

"People need fear to survive we experience it so that we can grow stronger!" Dedicated, Maka proclaims as she pushes herself free from Sid, slamming the heel of her boot against Sid's face, pushing herself over Sid freeing herself from him.

"Hm?" Death hums.

"Nice…" Approvingly, Ava nods her head.

"If she wasn't afraid in that situation I'd call that reckless but Maka has the courage to fight despite her fear." Death exclaims.

"Maka…let's do what he said. See if you can match my soul's wavelength." Soul calls out to Maka through his scythe.

"But that hasn't worked for us a single time before!" Worried, Maka points out.

"So what? This is us we can do it." Confidently, Soul assures her.

"Let's go soul resonance!" Maka and Soul declare chorusing it as a wave of energy engulfs them both, raising the sickle high in the air as a bright broad light engulfs her scythe's blade where boosting out of the metal is a coating of silver with a raw red eye on it.

"This will be interesting…" Ava chuckles impressed.

"The legendary super skill of the scythe meister, Witch hunter!" Maka declares only to gasp, screaming when next thing she knew, she trips upon the dirt causing a jolt of energy to come out, ruining the shot-making the other observer's sweatdrop.

"Ahhh! You trying to kill us what the hell Maka!" Enraged, Blackstar shouts screeching at Maka.

"Nice this is all your fault do it, right idiot!" Angrily, Maka yells at Soul.

"What!? you've got to be kidding me! Why is this my fault!? You're the idiot here getting mad at me for nothing die!" Thrashing, Maka's scythe squirms in Maka's grasp as his scythe form glares down at Maka.

"Die?! How can you say that!? You die!" Hurt, Maka demands pain laced in her tone from his words.

"That was incredible power." In awe, Sid whispers stunned at the feuding two.

"Ah….doesnt that bring back fond memories? Reminds me of our first attempts of witch hunter!" Lovingly, Death recalls leaning over the frowning Ava at the memory, her brow furrowed.

"You mean when you slammed my blade into the dirt?" Bitterly, she seethes as Kid sighs at his parents, already sensing the tension as his hands dangle down from the armchair of the golden throne he is perched upon.

"I didn't think I'd trip." Feebly, Death points out, a faint tint of nervousness in his tone making Liz and Kid turn to the feuding pair.

"Oh, sure it was a trip." Ava rolls her eyes at him.

"It was!" Death asserts hands up in worry.

"You didn't even have any legs what could you have tripped on!?" Scowling, she demands from Death squirming slightly.

"A root-like I said." He exclaims.

"I hit the ground! Do you know how much of a headache I got from that!?" Bitterly, Ava roars at Death.

"I said I was sorry!" Death sighs slumping his shoulders.

"You nicked my blade! You know how much care I have for my blade?" Seething, she crosses her arms over her chest, fury laced in her tone.

"I know, I know and I said I was sorry!" Death offers hands up in surrender.

"How were flowers meant to fix my blade!?" Perplexed, Ava demands from Death.

"You never did forgive me for that." Death tuts.

"It was unforgivable that was my blade!" Ava exclaims, her gold glinting pain marred into her facial features making Death sigh.

"I said I was sorry. I offered to polish it." He points out making a raw red blush across her facial features.

"And polishing it was going to help!?" Blushing, Ava seethes, steam spewing out of her flustered features.

"Your parents are funny kid." Patty giggles at the two.

"I think the word you're looking for is chaotic." Kid offers.

"Kid this seems more like sexual harassment." Liz sighs a hand on her hip.

"This is my parent's relationship. They are a strange but endearing couple." Fondly, a small shy smile crosses Kid's lip as he watches his parents bicker between themselves, his father the god of death, the reaper apologizing profusely to his wife, to think that even a god of death could bend so easily to the will of his weapon, of his partner, of his wife…

"Um….atleast he took it seriously?" Optimistically, Ava offers furrowing her brow at the mirror showing the now chained-up Sid alongside a murderous Maka and scowling Soul flailing in his weapon form from Blackstars attack.

"I…suppose so?" Death shrugs not quite sure what to say sharing the same look with Ava.

"What do you think you're doing trapping me with this guy!?" Offended, Maka demands from Blackstar.

"I wouldn't have to if you didn't get in my way." Blackstar smirks smugly.

"So far so good. Maybe it's time to take a break from this." Death steps back as he turns to Kid sat upon his throne looking over at his baby sister playing with the crayons drawing all sorts.

"So all they have to do now is find the person who turned Sid into a zombie right?" Kid concludes.

"That's right." Ava nods her head confirming it.

"Who's responsible? Do you know?" Kid questions his father.

"Hmmm…" Death trails off.

"Of course he does." Ava sighs approaching her baby girl, kneeling down, watching her baby girl play, looking up at her now and again smiling showing off her pictures which she smiles at enjoying them.

"But why ruin the surprise?" Cheekily, Death exclaims.

"He's no ordinary enemy isn't he?" Kid sighs catching on.

"You're familiar with my backup weapon death scythe and I assume you have at least heard of the meister who trained him." Death begins his explanation.

"Yeah, it was Maka's mother wasn't it? What about her?" Kid furrows his brow.

"Actually that's not quite right." Death sighs.

"Wait what?" Kid furrows his brow.

"Well…it's a bit more complicated than that." Softly, Ava smiles up at her son.

"How complicated?" Kid pries.

"Maka's mother was death scythe's second partner he had another." Death tells him.

"So that means this person was his first." Kid concludes.

"Yes the man behind this was doctor Frankenstein and not only was he Death Scythe's first partner he was also the greatest meister to have graduated from the academy." Death explains to his son whose eyes expand at the reveal.

"Ah so you are indeed Spirit's darling daughter ad the daughter of the woman who ended my greatest experiment. I wonder what kind of subject you'd make." Mencianclgy, Stein gushes over Maka easily destroying the kids.

"It's just a tap we can block it." Soul assures Maka.

"Oh your sweet innocent fool." Fondly, Ava smirks at the mirror showing the battle before them. Stein slams his palm on Maka's scythe a burst of energy spewing out making Maka cry out as she is thrown backward.

"Wh-…what did he?" Stunned, Maka gasps.

"What the hell did he do to me?!" Soul scowls.

"I still can't believe this. Sure magical weapons have valuable physical attack properties but primarily a meister needs a weapon to channel his soul wavelength but that man he can attack with his soul directly. He doesn't need a weapon to access his power." Perplexed, Kid furrows his brow at Stein.

"Yep a relationship between a meister and their weapon is a lot like a guitar and amplifier on its own an electric guitar is only capable of emitting a small noise. But when you connect the guitar to an amplifier you enhance the soundwaves and the result is much more powerful than before. Witchhunter, the technique Maka used in the battle with Sid is a perfect example of this, even if she did fail with it in the end. But in Stein's case, he can use the guitar to make a huge noise without an amplifier." Death explains to Kid.

"And you said I shouldn't be a teacher." Smugly, Ava chuckles.

"You did a class on meister weapon care." Death sighs.

"Hey, hey, it's the meister's responsibility to take care of their weapon, not just the weapon you know?" Defensively, Ava argues.

"You threw a meister outside the window." Death deadpans.

"He clearly did not care for his weapon that poor girl had cracks all-overs her weapon." Seething, she scowls at the memory.

"And he had broken his entire body thanks to your little stunt." Death sighs.

"Karma." Simply, she shrugs.

"That's all you have to say?" Death sighs.

"It's all I have left." Honestly, Ava places her hands up in mock surrender.

"That's…incredible. I can only imagine how strong he is when he does use a weapon." In awe, Kid confesses.

"Maka!" Soul cries out as Stein grabs hold of her pigtails tugging her forward, removing her coal coat to expose her stomach.

"Ahh…you have lovely skin simply lovely. Where do you think I should first insert the knife first? Let's see if I can turn this smooth skin into sandpaper." He whispers getting out a mark, marking her stomach.

"You're about to need a new pair of glasses bastard. How could you have already forgotten that I'm here!?" Haughtily, Blackstar demands roaring charging at him.

"Easily." Aloofly, Stein states.

"You're not the only one who can use soulwaves to attack without a weapon!" Proudly, Blackstar bellows slamming his palms into the back of Stine's back making him drop Maka.

"He may appear to be a child but Blackstars soul wavelength is incredibly large and at his age, he's a genius for being able to use his soul wavelength directly against his opponent. Still, it won't do him much good in this fight." Death informs his son.

"That is if he hadn't announced his attack," Ava remarks hand on her hip.

"What do you…?" Shaken, Blackstar gapes at the sight of the still staute of Stein.

"A surprise from the wild boy." Amused, Stein chuckles under his breath.

"You deflected my soul attack." Blackstar exclaims stunned.

"Don't you remember how I checked your soul data when you first arrived here. When I did that I familiarized my soul wavelength with yours so they matched. When the wavelengths are the same they cancel each other out. So your attack is powerless. You see the exact moment you attacked we temporarily bonded it's like the connection between a meister and its weapon." Stein explains to Blackstar.

"A human can actually accomplish that?" Kid exclaims taken aback.

"It's only possible if the human has a soul that's incredibly flexible." Death says.

"Which Stein has, making him a powerful opponent to face." Ava points out as they continue to watch the match.

"This is too much they need help let's go." Determined, Kid stands from his seat.

"Okay sure." Liz nods her head.

"Let's go!" Patty agrees.

"Kid you cant get involved this is a test they need to complete on their own. Besides you're a grim reaper not a student here." Firmly, Death warns his kid as Ava crosses her arms over her chest, furrowing her brow at him.

"Alright then in that case as of this moment consider me enrolled. Father, Mother. I would appreciate it if you registered me for classes." Liz, Patty. Kid tells the two turning his back to them.

"Hey all of you come back here! Oh my, my…" Death sighs watching on as the trio leave as soon as her gold see him and his guns leave, Ava comes crashing down to her knees crying curling in on herself making Death sigh, having expected such a reaction.

"I'm scum of the earth, I'm the worst mother ever, I'm disgusting, I'm horrible, I'm a terrible mother, I don't deserve to have him as my son, how could I do this to him? How could I lie to my baby boy? I'm scum, I don't deserve to have children, I shouldn't have I should have spared him." Death sighs rubbing patterns into his wife's back, knowing well how these tangents are, adjusted to them almost.

"Ava calm down dear you're doing just fine, fantastic even!" Death assures Ava.

"We tricked our baby boy. Now I feel bad, don't you? He's our baby and we lied to him!" Upset, she cries to the high heavens making him sigh.

"This is for his own good you said so yourself he needs to talk to more people, make friends outside family and Patty and Liz." Death points out.

"I know I just…maybe there was a better way than this." Sniffling, she whimpers.

"This was the only way he'd agree. You and I both know that." He reminds her.

"I hate it when you're right. Urgh, I should make him something when he finds out…maybe buy him a new chessboard he likes playing that game. Although he does get annoyed when Patty and Lizx don't provide him a challenge. I mean I do but he gets so iffy when I keep winning and…and…" Intensely, Ava goes off on one making Death sigh once more.

"Breath Ava." Gently, he places his hand on her shoulder.

"I'm a terrible mother." Moping, she whines falling back into her habits.

"You're not a terrible mother. You're a great mother look at how much Kid has grown, look at how independent he is!" Death points out hearing her soft sniffling.

"Only because I neglected him." Glumly, she whispers.

"You gave him space. Sweetheart you refused to give the kid his own room, you had him in his cot by our bedside until he was 4 and that was when he decided to stand up to you." Death reminds her making her grimace.

"He's my baby!" She wails.

"Yes, yes…." Death pats her back sighing at the anxious antics of Ava.

"I don't deserve to live! I should die for the way I've treated my boy!" Bellowing, Ava cries to the high heavens while Death sweatdrops at the woman before her and her special antics.

"No…I can't go on like this I should die." Defeated, Kid lies flat on the floor pained.

"Hahaha!" Patty cackles at the sight.

"Urgh we got to do this some more…" Liz groans annoyed.

"How could this happen? Did I really forget to fold the tip of the toilet paper into a triangle!"

Terrified, Kid ponders to himself.

"You don't know if you forgot! You always do so why would you forget this time? You really are a prissy little girl sometimes kid. If you don't hurry and snap out of it those kids are going to die. Who cares what happened with the toilet paper?" Liz sighs telling him how it is.

"How could you not care? Urgh…I'm a failure a complete failure. What kind of grim reaper am I if I didn't remember to fold the toilet paper. I can't take over my father's position what kind of son am I? mother and father will probably disown me!" Miserably, Kid wails, pain laced in his tone going into one of his tangents.

"Kid your mother loves you like seriously you've seen how far she would go for you! She'd travel the whole world just to find some symmetrical thing for you. Or if someone said anything bad about you, you'd know she'd beat the crap out of them. Now come on you'll probably be a great grim reaper. You know what we should do? Run right over to that creepy laboratory and save those kids. Come on let's go!" Animatedly Liz declares doing some actions but…

"No." Kid refuses.

"What…why!?" Baffled, Liz scowls at him.

"What if I didn't fold the toilet paper? I cant be feated by toilet paper, if I turn my back to this I shouldn't be allowed to live anymore." Pained, Kid says a sickly blue tint to his pale facial features.

"Then die already!" Angrily, Liz snaps scowling down at Kid.

"Um what's going…!? Kid what's wrong? What happened? Did you say something about his stripes!? Did you say seven? You know how he hates that number! Did someone beat him up!? Tell me who did this!? Who hurt my baby boy!? Kid who did this to you?" Horrified, Ava rushes over to her son's side wrapping her arms around his form, flailing his body back and forth, panic laced in her tone at his limp form.

"The toilet!" Patty cheers.

"…Say what now?" Ava exclaims doing a double-take.

"Toilet paper miss Death. Toilet paper." Grimly, Liz tells Ava who stares stunned by her son, sweat dropping by his tendency, holding him. She sighs slumping her shoulders at her son's special antics.
