"Alright people as I'm sure that you know. There isn't much time remaining in three short days you'll be taking the general test for meister and weapons, the supper written exam. I assume you have all been studying for it. Just to warn you I've wrote the test questions this year. If you've studied the material so you should be ready if not then you will have a problem. In either case good luck. Kay? Class is dismissed." Smirking, Stein reminds his class of the test coming as he leans over the back of his rolling seat facing the class as he places his chin over it, smirking smugly at the youths present. When he finishes his tangent, he uses his feet flat on the ground to push him out of the lesson however just as he reaches the threshold of the door, he falls flat to the ground before a familiar pair of black heels as his green look up into a pair of yellow.
"You really should stop doing that." Tiredly, Ava sighs slumping her shoulders at her friend, helping him up as the two adults converse outside class, having been dismissed from lesson.
"Great…there's got to be some shortcut to memorise everything." Annoyed, Soul scowls at the blackboard before him reminding him of the test ahead as he sits by Maka packing away her things.
"You don't learn by taking shortcuts Soul. I'm not going to let you get away with cheating either." Sternly, Maka tells Soul.
"Think you'll get top score again this year Ox?" Maka's ears perk up at Ox's weapon partner sat by his side asking him as they begin packing up also in hopes of prepping for the exam ahead.
"Well we'll see. There are a couple of hard workers in this class who could beat out my score, like her. Last year, Maka came in second, right behind me." Smugly, he points out bravely glancing up at her boasting almost much to Maka's fury.
"Yo Blackstar you want to know why they call this test the super written exam? It's because supposedly whoever comes in first are destined to make a death scythe." Soul leans back in his seat looking up at the blue haired boy behind him on the high level of the seating arrangement for the class.
"What seriously!? It's settled I'm gonna get first and turn you into a death scythe Tsubaki!" Boisterously, Blackstar declares determined as he turns to his weapon smiling softly down at him, her books clutches to her chest.
"Okay." Softly, she smiles at him.
"Way cool this is our first written exam ever! Let's go!" Perkily, Patty smiles as she, Liz and Kid make their way out of the door, Kid looking unfazed with his hands shoved into his pockets, staring straight ahead, Patty and Liz either side of him.
"Just because they put the word super in front of it doesn't mean I'm going to study." Sternly, Kid tells the two how it is.
"You sound pretty confident. You're not going to prepare for it at all?" Annoyed, Liz furrows her brow at Kid's cockiness.
"I am a reaper. I got a pretty good grasp on souls." Simply, Kid shrugs stating the fact of the matter as the kids head off some prepping, some worrying and others trying to catch up to the months of revision they missed out on.
"Maaaakaaaa…" Meanwhile, Stein and Ava stand either side of one another, staring at their friend Spirit doing his strange dance and ritual before them, curious to see where this will lead, they remain silently, simply watching on.
"You know? I always thought your parents dropped you as a kid but I didn't think they'd throw you off a cliff." Frankly, Ava decides to be the one to break the still silence between the adults.
"What on earth are you doing Spirit?" Stein sighs getting to the question at hand.
"I'm sending positive energy to Maka so she'll do well on the test." Truthfully Spirit tells the two.
"And you think making strange noises and poses isn't going to get you arrested?" Ava quirks her head to the side, trying to understand the thought process behind his silly motions.
"I'll do anything for my little girl to succeed in her dream. Don't you want to do the same for Kid?" Spirit frowns.
"Not really no." Bluntly, Ava places her hand on her hip.
"Aren't you going to nag at him to study?" Stein wonders.
"Eh, if he's going his way about the exam like this then his low-test score will teach him what for." Lazily, Ava shrugs not really caring.
"You think so?" Stein raises a brow bored.
"Eh besides Kid spent his whole childhood learning about it. He isn't wrong when he says he has a fairly good grasp on it." Sighing, Ava informs the two, they never did have much to read but Kid loved reading everything he could get his hands on.
"Oh yeah well my daughter began reading when she was very young!" Spirit boasts.
"My kid read the dictionary when he was 3!" Ava argues.
"My daughter…" Spirit begins as the two butt heads making Stein sweat drop at the two he called his friends, imaging them with horns almost acting like two young bucks fighting to the death to claim dominance of some sort.
"While as funny as it is watching you guys use your kids to prove who's better I'd prefer to understand the stupidity of your moves Spirit." Stein turns back to Spirit.
"Agreed." Ava nods taking a step back.
"Well while I could be answering your questions I rather not I would rather be there for my child because I care about her…Maaaakaaa!" Dedicated, Spirit proclaims to the high heavens continuing his little ritual dance.
"He truly was dropped as a kid." Ava concludes.
"Question is how did he survive?" Stein ponders out loud.
"Hey you dissected him, you tell me." Ava shrugs her shoulders as the two continue to watch their friend's strange actions never fully understanding the strange nature of their friend…
"MAAAKAAA!"
